This document summarizes a team building and trust building workshop. The workshop uses hands-on team building activities to help participants understand the developmental stages of teams, roles within teams, and how to build trust and effectiveness. Participants will engage in interactive exercises and discussions around these concepts. The goal is to help educators facilitate similar team building activities with their own colleagues and students.

1. Team Building and Building Team Trust
Facilitator: Kelly Howarth, M.Ed., Dpl. Ad. Ed.
Being an effective team player is an important skill in business because it helps us work
more effectively within our smaller teams and become a more productive contributor to
the greater goals of the organization. In this interactive session participants will engage
in hands-on team-building activities aimed at creating an atmosphere of trust, while
illustrating and reinforcing the various concepts around teamwork and cultivating team
trust.

This session aims to help adult educators become more effective team builders and use
this information in facilitating team building with their colleagues and their learners.
About Your Facilitator…
Kelly Howarth, M. Ed., Dpl. Ad. Ed., an adult educator for the past 20 years, facilitates soft
skills/employability skills learning with vocational education students at the CEGEP level.
Past President of the Quebec Association for Lifelong Learning (QALL), Kelly also works with
professionals and educators, designing and delivering experiential, interactive personal and
professional development workshops aimed at stimulating reflection and empowering
participants towards positive action.
