Team Building and Building Team Trust
                        Facilitator: Kelly Howarth, M.Ed., Dpl. Ad. Ed.




Being an effective team player is an important skill in business because it helps us work
more effectively within our smaller teams and become a more productive contributor to
the greater goals of the organization. In this interactive session participants will engage
in hands-on team-building activities aimed at creating an atmosphere of trust, while
illustrating and reinforcing the various concepts around teamwork and cultivating team
trust.

Session Highlights
    The Developmental Stages of Teams and Team Roles
    Healing Teams versus Hurting Teams
    Team Effectiveness and Trust Building: competencies,
     collaboration, problem-solving
    Participants will engage in activities designed to
     explore and illustrate the above concepts
    Group brainstorming and discussion aimed at reflecting
     on team-building

This session aims to help adult educators become more effective team builders and use
this information in facilitating team building with their colleagues and their learners.




About Your Facilitator…

Kelly Howarth, M. Ed., Dpl. Ad. Ed., an adult educator for the past 20 years, facilitates soft
skills/employability skills learning with vocational education students at the CEGEP level.
Past President of the Quebec Association for Lifelong Learning (QALL), Kelly also works with
professionals and educators, designing and delivering experiential, interactive personal and
professional development workshops aimed at stimulating reflection and empowering
participants towards positive action.

Being an effective team player is an important skill in business because it helps us work more effectively within our smaller teams and become a more productive contributor to the greater goals of the organization. In this interactive session participants will engage in hands-on team-building activities aimed at creating an atmosphere of trust, while illustrating and reinforcing the various concepts around teamwork and cultivating team trust. Session Highlights  The Developmental Stages of Teams and Team Roles  Healing Teams versus Hurting Teams  Team Effectiveness and Trust Building: competencies, collaboration, problem-solving  Participants will engage in activities designed to explore and illustrate the above concepts  Group brainstorming and discussion aimed at reflecting on team-building This session aims to help adult educators become more effective team builders and use this information in facilitating team building with their colleagues and their learners. About Your Facilitator… Kelly Howarth, M. Ed., Dpl. Ad. Ed., an adult educator for the past 20 years, facilitates soft skills/employability skills learning with vocational education students at the CEGEP level. Past President of the Quebec Association for Lifelong Learning (QALL), Kelly also works with professionals and educators, designing and delivering experiential, interactive personal and professional development workshops aimed at stimulating reflection and empowering participants towards positive action.
