3. World Problems
The most pressing problems humankind
faces today include global warming,
climate change, energy conservation,
pollution, deforestation and, certainly not
the last, freshwater resources.
4. Global warming was very likely caused by
increasing concentrations of greenhouse
gases resulting from human activity. With global
warming on the increase chances for ecosystems
to adapt naturally are diminishing. Pollution can
cause instability or discomfort to the ecosystem.
7. Types of air pollution
Air pollution is due to human
influences that contaminate the air with
chemicals. The two types of air pollution:
smog and soot pose health risks and
environmental dangers. Of the two forms
of air pollution, particle pollution is more
dangerous.
8. The removal of trees from the
ecosystem without sufficient
reforestation has resulted in damage
to habitat and biodiversity.
9. Freshwater resources are vital for
meeting basic human needs. Many health
problems are related to poor or limited
water quality. This water shortage is
expected to worsen as a result of several
factors including population growth,
pollution of surface water sources.
11. Energy conservation refers to efforts
made to reduce energy consumption in
order to preserve resources for the future
and reduce pollution. It can be achieved
through efficient energy use or by
reduced consumption of energy services.
12. It is vital that humankind takes
these issues seriously. Educating the
masses to recycle and become aware
of the environmental problems are
two necessary measures for a better
life.
