  • 2. Clasificamos los seres vivos
    • We know plants and animals are living things, what else?
    • Sabemos que los animales y las plantas son seres vivos…¿qué más?
  • 3. Types of Living Things
    • Hay una enorme variedad de seres vivos.
    Which living things can you name?
  • 4. ¿Cúantos grupos hay de seres vivos?
    • Can you find each living things category below?
    Three groups? Four groups? Five groups? Sticker Collections Animals Transportations Plants Watering Cans Clothing Fungi Teddy bears Microorganism Perfumes
  • 5. Group 1. Animals
    • These living things can travel and eat plants or other animals.
    • Human beings also belong to this group
  • 6. Group 2. Plants
    • These living things do not travel and produce their own food with sunlight.
    • Examples include, trees, bushes and grasses
  • 7. Group 3. Fungi
    • Like plants, these living things cannot travel. However, they also do not have the ability to make their own food like plants nor do they need sunlight to live.
  • 8. Group 4. Microorganisms
    • These living things are very small and we cannot see them without the help of microscopes. Some microorganisms are good for our body, others make us sick.
  • 9. Las especies
    • ¿Qué es una especie?
    • A species is part of a group of living things and can reproduce and have fertile offspring.
    • OR
    • A species is not part of a group of living things, it is separate and cannot reproduce or have offspring.
  • 10. Fértiles y estériles
    • Fértiles, es decir, cuando también pueden reproducirse.
    Estériles, es descir, no pueden reproducirse.
  • 11. Los hongos
    • Fungi are living things with simple structures.
    • Fungi can grow to be very big.
    • We can classify fungi into three groups- those that produces mushrooms, molds and yeasts
  • 12. Los Hongos
    • La mayor parte de los hongos viven dentro del suelo, donde crecen y se desarrollan
    • Los hongos son seres vivos con una estrucura muy simple.
    • Los hongos producen las esporas
    • En condiciones adecuadas de humedad y temperatura se desarrollan nuevos hongos.
  • 13. Las bacterias
    • Las bacterias se reproducen muy rápidamente y hay muchísimos tipos de bacterias diferentes.
    Bacteria reproduce very quickly and there are many different types. Is the bacteria in yogurt good or bad?
  • 14. Los virus
    • Viruses are not living things, because they do not form by cells but they do have the ability to make us sick.
    • Los virus no son seres vivos, porque no están formados por células, pero tienen la capacidad de producir enfermedades.
