The document discusses testing various poses and positioning for characters in a movie poster. Several test images are rejected for not properly conveying character relationships or traits. 2. Here the boy characters are not looking into the
camera to convey any type of characteristics so
no meaning can be made from the poster

This picture doesn’t work at all, the only
character performing correctly is the teacher
character so we cannot use this image.
Although all body language in these images were appropriate
for the poster some facial expressions did not match the
typical style of melodramatic characters and their conventions.

3. Here two characters stand opposite each and it looks as though they don’t like each other when there characters
don’t even meet in the film. Also the teacher character is faced the wrong way and you cannot see her face.
Here we tried to change around and try different body
positions, however they didn’t convey the same messages as
the original body positions we chose as we found the
message of the poster looked completely different to the Here the younger
character looks as though
orignal.
she is annoyed at the
teacher character but
they do not appear in the
same parts in the film so
this does not make sense

4. These were the last two practise pictures, the last one worked,
all characters were performing correctly and showing their
characteristics to convey meaning or a story. We decided to
keep the girl student character scowling at the teacher to
make it look melodramatic. Happy with the last image we
saved that and used it in adobe fireworks and started to create
the poster.

5. In Fireworks we used the magic wand tool to remove the green screen from the
back ground and saved it.

6. We then imported an image that we took of Aquinas College into fireworks and
changed the canvass size.

7. We then imported the image of the
characters over the background and
started adding poster conventions to
create two existing posters.
