The Earth is composed of several layers, including the inner core, outer core, mantle, and crust. The inner core is a solid mass of iron at 3870°C, while the outer core is molten iron that surrounds it. The mantle is a thick layer where some parts melt into magma, and the crust varies in thickness from 5 to 50 km.
