1. MIGUEL DE CERVANTES
Miguel de Cervantes was a writer from Spain. He was born in the
village of Alcalá de Henares on 29th
February 1547. He died in 1616.
Cervantes was a serious, quiet child. At the age of 34 he had
various jobs, but he didn't start to write until he was 21 years old.
Eventually he went to live in Argentina. That was where he met his
wife.
During his lifetime Cervantes wasn't successful with his work and
he only sold three books. But these days he is famous for many
works which he wrote in Spain. Two of his best-known books are
“Don Quijote de la Mancha” and “La Galatea”.
