2. Are you Male or Female? From the chart shows with my survey of asking the questions about music videos there were more females, compare to male. Although it my seem biased by not asking a fairly equal amount of sexes as the common ethical issue may be that a question may be in favour of a particular sex for example, ‘between these two artist who is better, Usher or Brittney’. But I can assure you that the following questions would not be one-sided or in favour of one sex.
3. Do you enjoy music videos which are, funny, upbeat or emotional? From these results may help me choice and crate a positive, active mood for my video as the chart informs me that my target audience would enjoy a music video to be upbeat. My assumption for their choice is that because my target audience is from 15 -20 which are youths which represents freshness and youth a young generation would prefer something that is active that gets them moving.
4. What pace of the video to you prefer? As you can see from the pie chart, the question revolved around the tempo of the music for the music video. And from the results it shows that my audience would look the pace of the video to be fast which, then reinforce the question of how they want the mood of the video to be on a previous slide.
5. Do you enjoy a music video with special effects or animation? A large percentage of my audience would prefer to a special effects rather an animation, because the target audience is not appealing to a much younger generation like the age of nine having an animation music video may come across as childish.
6. Do you prefer videos that are abstract or follow the lyrics? The results illustrates that my audience would like to see a video that follows the lyrics. Its accrued to me that the reason for their choice is that it would make the music video more understandable to them unlike, some artist that cause constrvesal with the theme behind their videos such as Lady Gaga.
7. What aspects of a music video make it interesting for you to watch? To gain the attention of my audience a performance or choreography would help persuade my audience to watch my video; so from the results it shows that they are the must popular so the question that I had implicated about ‘Do the audience like to see dance routines in a music video’, on a future slide should come out with a positive response.
8. Watch genre of music is your favourite? The most popular music tribe was Grime, however from my work of designing several storyboards they all were centred around the genre of R&B. Although Grime had the grater percentage, I would go with the second highest percentage as you can see from the pie it is R&B as it matches with my genre of my song hopefuls for my storyboard.
9. Do you like to see dance routines in a music video? This result supports my idea that my target audience would prefer the mood of the video to be upbeat and active as you look to your left the cylinder chart agrees that my audience would want to see a dance routine in my video, meaning within my planning and developing idea I would have to try and construct and choreograph a dance. This supports with question on slide 7 that a performance or choreography makes a music video interesting.
10. What do you except to see most often in an R&B music video? From an earlier slide show the results of the most popular music tribe and although it was Grime, I will remain with R&B. With that in mind I asked the question of what would you see in an R&B music video to help me to include it in mine. And looking at the chart it notifies me to add attractive appealing women in my video as it would meet the exception of what to be in a R&B video.
11. Explain why you watch music videos. Overall, the purpose asking these questions would lead me to this point, why people watch music videos. And from tallying the fifteen questionnaires with reason why people watch music videos is that they are short cinematic films that makes us as consumers are drawn to them as being short films containing a range of media, telling a story or giving a performance through the art of music, which for the work of the production we have music video awards, praising and admiring the unique labour of creating this form of art.
