  3. 3. Chatting/ IM <ul><li>The transmission of an electronic message over a computer network using software that immediately displays the message in a window on the screen of the recipient. </li></ul><ul><li>2 uses: yahoo, AIM </li></ul>
  4. 4. Discussion Board <ul><li>The system includes discussion forums, blogs, calendars, polls, questions and answers, picture galleries, file shares, classifieds, keyword advertising, subscriptions, ratings, social networking, and even artificial intelligence. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Texting/ SMS <ul><li>The service provided by a telecommunications company for transmitting text messages. </li></ul><ul><li>2 uses: you can send a text off almost any phone </li></ul>
  6. 6. Blog <ul><li>A website that displays in chronological order the postings by one or more individuals and usually has links to comments on specific postings. </li></ul><ul><li>2 uses: to ask questions or discuss topics </li></ul>
  7. 7. iPhone <ul><li>A smartphone from Apple that integrates cellphone, iPod, camera, text messaging, e-mail and Web browsing. Data and applications can be sent to the phone wirelessly or via Apple's iTunes software, which is used to organize music, videos, photos and applications </li></ul>
  8. 8. Palm Pre Phone <ul><li>The Palm just debuted its long awaited all-new handset, the Palm Pre. The curvy touch screen, with a center button down below and touch sensitivity all down the face -- the lower part is for &quot;gestures.&quot; A full QWERTY keyboard slides out from the phone in a portrait orientation, and you can flip the phone on its side for accelerometer-sensed widescreen browsing. </li></ul>
