1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? YasirSaleem
2. Blogging Our other Media Studies work involves the use of blogging and it’s use in the downfall of newspapers. Therefore, we were told to use blogging to construct, research and evaluate our final product. This gave our audience the opportunity to follow our work and give us any feedback relevant to the work. This was the case in the feedback when planning our film and what our audience believed needed to be resolved.
3. Blogging We used http://www.blogger.comto publish our blogs. It is arguably the biggest blogging site in the UK, owned by Google, and so can reach our target audience easier. It helped me remarkably in keeping track of the work I did in school at home. The work was obviously available to me at any time, whereas files on school computer’s wouldn’t have been available to me at home. Sometimes, however, it was very hard to keep track of the work at home due to the website not working. Overall, however, this was much easier, quicker and better to use to keep in touch with our audience and keep our work organised. Easy-to-follow layout meant that work of all kinds could be kept up-to-date
4. iMovie For the Preliminary Task and our final film, we were told to use iMovie to edit the film as we intended. I had personally never used the software before but found it extremely easy to grasp. I have learnt all the techniques required to make our film successful, such as editing short clips and arranging all clips into small projects, I managed to make titles and add sound to the clips we had shot. 5. Garage Band To record our monologue we had to use the Mac’s at school. Without any microphone available to us, we had to use the software on the Mac and Garage Band was the quickest and easiest program to use. We had to use the built-in microphone and I learnt to edit the recorded clips to make them sound more suited to our film. For instance, we selected a low bass so that the voice would sound a lot deeper, adding to the suspense of the film. We recorded it at a low volume and that allowed us to adjust it easier when editing using iMovie.
