The number if customers are enormous, because nowadays every people use these technologies to make their lives easier and comfortable. But the size
of their orders are not that much, since each household needs only one or two audio/hi–fi system to cover all needs of those who live there. It means
that they can pick up and decide which device they want to use for what and they can vary the brands they choose from. There are two things
which are important for buyers: the quality and the price. The numbers of alternative suppliers are huge so the customers have a lot of
opportunities to shop around and also because of the low switching costs, it is very important to keep the quality high and in the same time to keep
the price as low as it is possible, otherwise the customer will choose another supplier. 5. Bargaining power of suppliers The resources in case of
B&O are not that essential since more and more suppliers are available nowadays in this huge industry, they don't really have a powerful
position. B&O has a really strong relationship with its suppliers, because most of its production is outsourced by buying picture tubes from
Philips, plasma screens from Panasonic and peripheral devices from range if suppliers.

Essay on Christian Beliefs in the Origins of the World
Christian Beliefs in the Origins of the World
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the
Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."
A Description of Christian Beliefs About the Origins of The World
Christians believe that God created the universe. In Chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis, we are told that God creates both the universe and everything that is
in it. Thomas Aquinas, a leading scholar of the Middle Ages, argued that "Everything in the universe has a cause. Trace those causes back and there
must have been a First Cause that triggered everything else. God is that First Cause." This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This would explain how God managed to create the entire universe in just six days, though it is quite hard to accept that as fact, as it is impossible to
prove that it is right or wrong. It seems impossible that creation could have been accomplished in a mere six days.
In Genesis one, note that no theory of evolution can be accommodated within it. Genesis is saying that the earth came before the sun, grass and trees
before sea life, and birds before land animals. So does science contradict the Bible? Before one is able to answer this question, one must find out what
the scientific facts are, rather than the unproven theories created by Scientists. Some scientists are Christians, who believe in God but also in evolution.
There are many different views on the subject of just how the earth was created. The Big Bang is just one of those theories.
The Big Bang is a very popular theory among both Christians and non–Christians. However, it is not totally unquestionable, if it were there would be
no more arguments concerning the creation of the world. The main question asked about the Big Bang is "Who, or what triggered it?" For Christians,
it is God who triggered the Big Bang. This theory backs that of Aquinas'. They both argue that God was the trigger in the creation.

big bang theory Essay
The Big Bang theory states that all the matter that is in the universe was once in a very small amount of space with infinite temperature, pressure, and
density. This theory is well supported and there are many reason for it's support. One main reason is that no one really has a clue and The BigBang
Theory seems far fetched but more reasonable than any other ideas that there are out there. Some of the important thing to know about the big bang to
understand are the beginning and the few seconds immediately after the actually bang. Also what generally has happened since the then. It is
important to know theories of how it will end as well, and to get a well rounded opinion, I feel it useful to have some of ... Show more content on

From this background radiation, cosmologists have been able to learn things about the particles that filled the universe 18 billion years ago (the
approximate time of the Big Bang).
Perhaps the single most important thing that we know about conditions immediately after the Big Bang is that the universe was extremely dense.
That is, all the matter and energy in it was compressed very tightly together. On the other hand we do not know how big the universe was
immediately after the Big Bang. Because we do not know how big the universe is now. If the Universe is infinitely large then it would have been
infinitely large then, because there is now way something could go from have a finite size to having an infinite size. So if the universe has a finite size
today then it had a finite, and proportionally small, size then.
We do, however, know how large the visible universe would have been immediately after the Big Bang. The visible universe is the portion of the
universe that an observer, imaginary for comparison, would be able to see. The visible universe today has a radius of about 18 billion light years,
because that is how far light has been able to travel in the approximately 18 billion years since the Big Bang. Anything outside of that 18 billion light
year radius would be invisible to us because the light from it has not reached us yet. This would be true for observers

Samarium Vs Neodymium
Many extraterrestrial objects present during the early years of our universe, including Earth, have been shown to share similar levels of
Neodymium–142, an isotope of Neodymium. Neodymium–142, which is found throughout the Earth's crust, was researched to be present alongside
Samarium within the formation of our Solar System. Researchers were previously hinted to this discovery in 2005, when 142Nd was found in
chondrites, which are meteorites considered to be the "building blocks of terrestrial rocks." Data collected from this research was used to detect
differences between the Earth's interior layers and chondrites for its first 30 million years. The introduction of isotopes brought into this speculation

aware of the stability, or lack thereof, during our Solar System's formation and the creation of terrestrial objects. Nor did I know of how much one
small detail, such as similar levels of an element's isotope, could change our point of view on a subject of this importance. This information is

Science Vs. Science : The Incompatibility Of Science And...
American science writer Michael Shermer once said, "Are science and religion compatible? It's like [asking]: Are science and plumbing compatible?
They're just two different things." This concept of the incompatibility of religion and science is not recent, as it has been debated for many centuries.
One of the most popular theories used to debate religion and science's compatibility is the Big Bang Theory. In this debate, religion challenges science's
'extreme' logical explanation of the origin of the universe while science challenges religion's 'fanatical' approach. Due to the differing principles of
religion and science, Shermer's perspective of their relationship is precise as we see that co–existence is not feasible.
According to Merriam Webster, religion is defined as the faith, service, and worship of God or the supernatural while science is defined as the
organized, systematic enterprise that obtains knowledge about the world and condenses it into testable laws or principles. In these two definitions, we
already find contradictory ideas as science attempts to understand phenomena logically while religion emphasizes the idea that "[God's] thoughts are
not [our] thoughts, neither are [our] ways [His] ways" (New International Version, Isaiah 55:8–9). It is religion's emphasis that this supernatural Being
can be illogical according to man's understanding: a key reason why religion and science cannot co–exist. A prime example of this is the Big Bang
Theory.

No, I don't think God is concerned about the stars because it's tells us that in the Bible that "God isn't just concerned about big things". Instead, what
He is concerned about is the smallest and most unimportant things. After all, He did put the stars in space and created them. As the Bible says, "By
him (Christ) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible" (Colossians 1:16).
What the number of stars, and the fact that God has named them all, tell me about God is for His understanding in us. For wherever we go, God is
there. Whatever we do, God is there. He hears us as we call out to Him for nothing escapes His notice. He continues to watch over us all and is
concerned about us and loves us all dearly. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,
casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you." 1 Peter

Rock 'n' Roll and Cultural Revolution
Rock 'n' Roll and Revolution As a distinctly American form of cultural expression, Rock 'n Roll may be our nation's greatest global export. Its
influence on popular, social and artistic mores on a global basis is incomparable. Indeed, one could make the argument that most modern forms of
popular music derive from the basic components, if not the underlying attitude, or Rock ' Roll. However, this observation should not be at the expense
of considering the yet more powerful influence that this musical form has had on our society as a whole. This is the premise driving Glenn C.
Altschuler's 2003 text All Shook Up: How Rock 'N' Roll Changes America. According to the Altschuler text, Elvis Presley and his contemporaries would
not just alter the musical landscape but would create a stark generation gap, a deconstruction of racial barriers and dismantling of sexual taboos. In this
regard, the text argues, Rock 'n Roll would do nothing less than alter the course of American life. Dividing the text into separate sections identifying the
relationship between the burgeoning phenomenon of RNR and the patterns of social rebellion that were undermining the conservative establishment,
Altschuler shows how this mode of musical expression really did extend from a growing sense of disaffection, discontent and disenfranchisement. In
fact, Altschuler does a tremendous job of showing the sharp divide between the conservative guard and the youth culture gravitating to the new form of
music by

A Short History of Nearly Everything
A Short History of Nearly Everything is a popular science book by American author Bill Bryson that explains some areas of science, using a style of
language which aims to be more accessible to the general public than many other books dedicated to the subject. It was one of the bestselling popular
science books of 2005 in the UK, selling over 300,000 copies.[1]
instead describing general sciences such as chemistry, paleontology, astronomy, and particle physics. In it, he explores time from theBig Bang to the
discovery of quantum mechanics, via evolution and geology.
Bryson tells the story of science through the stories of the people who made the discoveries, such as Edwin Hubble, Isaac Newton, and Albert Einstein.

Just like the alchemists of old, scientists have a regrettable tendency to "vaile their secrets with mistie speech". Science, John Keats sulked, "will clip
an Angel 's wings, / Conquer all mysteries by rule and line." Bryson turns this on its head by blaming the messenger rather than the message. Robbing
nature of its mystery is what he thinks most science books do best. But, unlike Keats, he doesn 't believe that this is at all necessary. We may be living
in societies less ready to believe in magic, miracles or afterlives, but the sublime remains. Rather as Richard Dawkins has argued, Bryson insists that the
results of scientific study can be wondrous and very often are so. The trick is to write about them in a way that makes them comprehensible without
crushing nature 's mystique.
Bryson provides a lesson in how it should be done. The prose is just as one would expect – energetic, quirky, familiar and humorous. Bryson 's great
skill is that of lightly holding the reader 's hand throughout; building up such trust that topics as recondite as atomic weights, relativity and particle
physics are shorn of their terrors.
The amount of ground covered is truly impressive. From the furthest reaches of cosmology, we range through time and space until we are looking at
the smallest particles. We explore our own planet and get to grips with the ideas, first of Newton and then of Einstein, that allow us

Science and Religion Essay
Science and religion have always collided. Science is based on observation and what we can prove. Religion on the other hand makes arguments
analytical in nature and requires faith. The basis though may not seem similar. A scientist might call this as the order in the universe or the Energy,
which is transmitted in the world we live in. Religions like to look this ultimate reality as God. This entity is capable of setting an order in the universe
and is nothing but what religion defines as God. Science and Religion then appear to be tied up like two versions of the same subject.

All these affect religion and who believes it and to what extent we as people actually believe. In today's society people want to be able to grasp, to
hold it, and even just feel it. So how do some people believe in God, we are not able to see him, hold him, let alone hear him? So how can we
actually believe in something that is not there? Now you see this is how science draws us away from our beliefs. Science says that, "seeing is
believing." Meaning that if u can see something then you can believe in it. We are not able to see him. But his existence could be debated using
knowledge based on what we see around us. For instance when we throw coins on a table, these coins will stop and arrange themselves on the table.
What made the coins be in the order we see them after they have been thrown? Maybe it was the cause of Newton's Laws. But then again this order as
proposed by Science implies an order setter. Is this God, a human like, yet unseen being? Are his features well defined? How do we describe the
qualities of such a being? If He is perfect, his features are the highest level of moral standards, then we can say that him and is followers are beyond
our understanding. We might say that he is wise, he knows all, and he is merciful and powerful. But these just limits how we express things not
described by our won language. It is possible we might not have

The Big Bang Theory Essay
The Big Bang Theory
There have been many theories concerning what the universe looks like, how it became this way, and where it is going. The most popular theory that
people hold today is that the universe began when all the matter ever present in the universe was contained in a tiny speck and that spec exploded. This
is known as the Big Bang. This theory has developed a great deal since it was first conceptualized and continues to evolve today. Many different
scientists have had a hand in this.
Throughout time people have held different ideas of what the universe looks like, from the Aristotelian universe centered around the Earth to the
Copernican universe with our Sun at the center. After Sir Isaac Newton invented physics,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A century later the French naturalist George–Louis Leclerc, later made Comte de Buffon by Louis XV, would improve on this idea in 1778. He did
this by carrying out a set of experiments with balls of metals heated to the point where they were glowing read and about to melt and then observing
the time that is too them to cool. Buffon came up with a number of 75,000 years. Theologians did not like this revision of their timescale and the
encroachment of science into their area of knowledge. (Gribbin, 14)
In 1820 another French man named James Fourier took the next step in estimating the Earth's age. He accounted for the fact that the Earth is still hot in
its core and using mathematical techniques that he developed and we still use today for time–varying phenomena, came up with a number too
staggering foe him to write down. He did however leave us his equations and it is easy to plug in the same numbers and get the answer that he could
not say, which comes out to be 100 million years. (Gribbin, 16)
From here scientists started to look at the Sun and determine how long it had been around. This was undertaken simultaneously by two different
people, William Thompson, more commonly knows as Lord Kelvin, who helped to build the foundation of thermodynamics and also by Helmholtz in
1887. Both scientists came

Christians today have a biblical principle and opinion of the universe existence. Christians believe that God created earth and that he accomplished that
in only six days. Genesis 1 explains the creation and the interpretation is so utterly clear and one writer states "Thus, any interpretation that goes

The Masoretic text translated gives exact same number of Generations of Genesis. The Septuagint number varies. Both Old and New Earth agree with
some facts that observes present nature of Rocks. They differ with the un–observed past and the facts viewed from history. Scientist tries to use
historical reconstruction of the universe and they also use data research and analysis of empirical science. Our text book says "Historical
reconstruction, however legitimate, is a totally different enterprise".

The secular model to describe the way the universe is created and built is called the Big Bang.
It is said that the Big Bang Stories or origin is without a doubt totally fictional. Naturalism and Uniformitarianism is the main driven philosophies
behind the Big Bang. It is the model used to describe the formation for the entire universe; it's the process that is currently operating within the
Universe. Big Bang – is also called a "Singularity" which contains Mass and energy that we see today. It's said over time that the energy from this
Theory began to cool down as the Universe began to expand. It is said by some that God used the Big Bang to create the Universe.
The evolutionary view shows that the most recent Big Bang happened or began 10–20 billion years ago. It is said that prior to that, matter and energy
and the whole universe was condensed to a super–dense "comic egg" the size of the electron. It is now said that the cosmic egg

Religion, Religion And Religion
Religion is a very difficult topic for me to navigate, and a rather personal one. While on the surface I might seem very atheistic and anti–religion, this is
very far from the truth. I have had quite a complicated relationship with religion over the years, and it is still something I am struggling to figure out.
When I was in primary school we were taught quite a lot about religion. It was something that was constantly there in the school's agenda, with
assemblies every Monday morning in which our songs about recycling were intermingled with songs about God and Jesus, and the things they do for
us. Easter and Christmastime were spent being told stories from the Bible and eating chocolates from Nativity–inspired advent calendars. I never really
thought much about any of it at first, being quite young and naГЇve. Having never really talked about religion much before coming to school meant
that this was the first I had heard about the matter, and hence my impressionable young mind took these stories in to be truths as opposed to
religious beliefs. It was only when I became slightly older that the topic of religion came up more frequently in my household conversations. I was
still under the impression that all of these stories I had been told were more or less true, but my parents' atheism soon caused me to begin questioning
whether or not I actually believed what I was hearing in school. I started to doubt that there was a God, simply because my still impressionable mind

Essay on The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory
Why is the Universe expanding? What is Cosmic Back Ground Radiation (CBR)? There are many questions asked about our Universe, which we know
so little about. Scientists, in their attempt to answer these and other confrontations, have found one idea that seems to explain much of what we don't
understand: The Big Bang Theory.
An explosion of incomprehensible speed was the beginning of our known Universe and existence. At that time matter as small as the head of a pin
inflated to become larger than the visible Universe of today in less than one millisecond. The newly born Universe cooled very quickly and continued
to grow. Still, the heat was too great for normal elementary particles like protons and neutrons to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There were many people who worked together to come up with the present theory of creation. Edwin Hubble, Arno Penzias, Robert Wilson and Alan
Guth all contributed greatly to the formation of the Big Bang theory.
Edwin Hubble used his large telescope to see far away stars and galaxies. He knew that the elements in the stars reflected back specific colors, and
you could tell what a star was made of by its color ?DNA?. Hubble noticed that this pattern had been slightly shifted to the red side of the spectrum,
otherwise called a red shift. He knew, based on the Doppler effect, that a red shift was caused by the stretched wavelengths of an object moving
away from a point. If the galaxies he had observed had shifted to the red side then it meant that they were moving away from Earth. He also
discovered that the galaxies were moving away from each other, as well.
With these observations in mind, Hubble announced that the universe was expanding. He then came to this syllogism: If the universe is expanding,
then at one point it was smaller. The result of his postulations was the Big Bang theory.
Another mystery of the universe was the Cosmic Background Radiation (CBR). CBR is made up of photons throughout the universe that are floating
for no apparent reason in space. Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson spent their lives trying to explain the origin of this radiation and why it is still
existent today. Their discoveries

The Implementation Of Any Erp Package
The implementation of any ERP package is a matter of concern for the management of any enterprise, and the same needs to be undertaken after a
considerable amount of planning and with a long term an analysis of the situation. Changing from an existing package and moving to a completely new
package involves considerable amount of efforts and shall have an effect on the entire organisation, and hence, they need to be undertaken with
thorough planning. The new package installed shall materially alter the manner of working of the people in the enterprise, and shall replace all the
existing operating procedures. People require time to adjust to this, and to get along well with the new software. The management while deciding to
implement any such change, must analyse the current situation and develop a strategy for implementation of the new package and only then the idea
may be moved head, and given a concrete form.
Considering the above introduction and a brief about the implementation of new software on a general basis we shall discuss the matter of ERP

Big Bang Theory Or A Big Fabrication
Adair Day
AP English IV
Mrs. Britt Collins
14 March 2016
Big Bang Theory or a Big Fabrication The concept of creation has boggled human's minds for centuries. Human nature has an intuitive sense of longing
for an answer to solve the unknown, and creation embodies the concept of unknown. In an effort to compile reason and scientific knowledge, an
explanation of the formation of the universe was formed and is widely known as The Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang Theory is considered, "...the
leading scientific explanation for the formation of the universe" (Howell). The Big Bang Theory articulates that before this event there was nothing;
and after it there was something. This suggestion to how the universe was created was originally born from the sighting that the surrounding galaxies
are moving away from our own at an immense speed as if they had been propelled by some force (Howell). The standard theory states that the entire
universe originated as a condensed, infinitely pressured, singularity, which defies the laws of today's understanding of physics. It is a misconception
this event occurred as an explosion; rather it resembled more of an expansion. At one moment there was nothing in existence and in the following, the
universe expanded as a balloon would, from a sub atomic particle, to all that it is today. This notion of how the universe was created, is nothing more
than a shot into the dark, literally, and holds no validity. At this exact moment there are roughly 100,000

Essay on Discussion of the Existence of God
Discussion of the Existence of God
There is a lot of argument about does God exist or not exist. It was long time every person wanted to prove the existence of God. Some people
argued that God exist and proved by many philosophical theories or scientific basics and religion reasons. On the other hand, other people do not
believe in God existence and they have based their proven by many theories and scientific points.
Many people have tried to prove God's existence with rational argument. Like Aquinas, Abelard, Pascal, Anselm and Paley are a few that have
attempted this. These approaches are of limited helpfulness, for though we can approach God with our reason and detect him in nature. More ... Show

These confirmation might be summarized under two heads: firstly the confirmation from the expansion of the universe and the secondly the
confirmation from thermodynamic properties of the universe.
The first confirmation is about the theory of the Big Bang (Big Bloom) is that once, all the matter in the universe was concentrated into an incredibly
dense mass. It was said too much smaller than the eye of a needle for some unknown reason, 15000 million years ago it began expanding. The Big
Bang theory is the Dominant scientific theory about the origin of the universe, According to the Big Bang; the universe was created some time
between 15–20 billion years ago.
The second confirmation of the beginning of the universe is based on the thermodynamic properties of various cosmological models. According to the
second laws of thermodynamic, process talking place in a closed system always tend toward s a state of equilibrium. The universe will reach a state of
thermodynamic equilibrium, known as the heat death of the universe. The universe will expand forever or eventually re–contract.
Many people have come to the point in their lives where they have serious doubt about God, or have already denied his existence. Most of those
people do not do so because firmly held

My Life
Picture yourself in my position; imagine looking through my eyes. During this story that I am about to tell, I want you to pretend you are me. Feel my
emotions, feel my pain, and feel the moment. Relive my story...
Cold...Cold winter snow mixed with thick heavy rain. The blizzard wakes me up, pinching my cheeks with its sharp snowflakes. I could feel the
cold winter scraping my throat as I cough. My frozen fingers are rolled up like a snowball; my socks are icing my feet. My body is so numb and
paralyzed. I brush the snow off my eyes with my scarf and squint to see where I am. The sunlight and white snow beam a bright laser straight to my
eyes. My eyelids hug each other and my brain absorbs all of my energy, leaving my body to melt with the snow. A loud screeching sound violently
makes its way into my eardrums; the smell of a burning scent shoots up my nose. As I fight my way out of this blind battle, my brain tries to stretch out
of my skull sending an army of migraines. With every painful beat, my eyes picture white flashes.
Suddenly, the flashes begin to form images rushing through my mind. I see blue lights beaming on the slushy snow. The snow and the rain mix
together making the floor slicker than oil. The shape of a tall deer looking at me crosses my mind. The deer's humongous blue eyes stare right at me,
burning my skin with flaming fear. The image of the deer remains in my mind. I get tangled with confusion and tell myself, "I have never seen a deer
before". Immediately

Conflict Between Science And Religion Are Compatible
This debate between whether science and religion are compatible has been going on for decades. Science and religion conflict with each other for
many things, such as for how the universe began. People have mixed views on the topic. Some people think there's too much conflict for them to be
compatible, whilst others think they can be in harmony. This is quite a polemical theme and that's why in this essay I'm going to clarify how far I agree
with the following statement: 'There is too much conflict between science and religion for them to be compatible,' by presenting all sides of the
argument. The first view is that science and religion contradict too much to a certain extent that both cannot be viable. Let's take as our first example the

spend hundreds of dollars repairing fifteen and twenty year old equipment rather than replace it. The average time between purchases was over seven
years, which meant that repeat business was hard to come by. The business in Australia was small, successful and profitable, with steady but
unspectacular growth. By 1993, Bang & Olufsen in Denmark had just completed a radical restructure, and the company, under a new young and
aggressive management team was in the process of making a remarkable turn around from the brink of disaster. Following the massive restructuring
program, Bang & Olufsen was looking for significant growth opportunities. The main European markets were well established and it was assumed that
there was limited opportunity for double digit growth, therefore it was decided to focus on the agency–run markets and push some serious expansion
into the Asian region. There had long been a belief held by Bang & Olufsen Denmark (typical of many European based companies) that a country as
large as Australia needed far wider coverage than just the main capital cities. In Denmark, a country of five million people, there were over 100 B&O

Who's More Powerful Superman Or Batman?
Who is more powerful, Superman or Batman? This has been a topic that has been pondered upon throughout the years of DC history. Well, I can surely
tell you that Superman is more powerful than Batman. There are many reasons as to why Superman is more powerful than Batman. He has x– ray
vision, super speed, and super strength.
Superman has many powers and abilities, but one of them is x– ray vision. Superman Wiki clearly states that Superman told his parents "Sometimes I
can see through things, other times it's like an x–ray." This tells us that Superman posses the power to see through solid objects. The article also says
"the ability can only be used in the presence of a yellow star." This tells us that he can use his x–ray vision when the sun is near.
Another one of Superman's powers is super speed. Superman Wiki states that he is known to move "Faster than a speeding bullet". This is faster that
the average human eye can see. It also says, "All Kryptonians possess super–speed under a yellow sun including Clark Kent." This tells us that his
powers of super–speed are at its fullest peak when the sun is out. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

surpasses the capacity to lift 1,000,000 tons, but how much more is not known exactly." This tells us the true strength of

The Big Bang Theory And The Revolution Of A New Generation
The Big Bang Theory What exactly is the Big Bang Theory? I know before starting this essay I knew very little of what it consisted. I figured that the
Big Bang Theory had something to with the era of a new generation. One in which started after the extinction of dinosaurs to be quite honest. As I learn
more about astronomy, this topic struck an interest and technically the big bang theory isn't something that occurred but rather something that
happened. It started the beginning of what we now call the universe.
When we ask astronomers what the big bang theory entails, it is simplified as the explanation on how the universe started or began. The universe was
not what it currently is today and in order to understand our universe we have to obviously start from somewhere so why no start to the beginning?
According to astronomers there is little known about how the universe was started but as far as we know it started with a gravitational singularity.
Singularities are believed to exist at the center of black holes. The singularities then inflated over the next 13.8 billion years to what we see in the sky
today. It's hard to look back in time and see how the universe came about, but astronomers can somewhat summarize the birth through mathematical
theory and models of how the Big bang theory came about. Although Astronomers weren't able to see how the universe came about, they are able to see
an expansion through a phenomenon known as the cosmic microwave background which is

The Big Bang Theory And Evolution
Creation Theory
A young man who is a senior in college has the opportunity of a lifetime to conduct research with professors in Israel on geological fossils for his
major in Earth Science. He had never been out of the United States before and only knew what he had been taught: the big bang theory and evolution.
Israel is made up of a very strong Jewish community and, as this young man would soon find out, they did not view geological findings through the Big
Bang theory, but through the Biblical creation theory. Due to their disagreements he had traveled to a different country only to fail to understand his
new professor 's teachings The United States of America was founded upon the Christian God but yet teachers are not even allowed to teach about the
Biblical creation theory of how Earth was made. They are forced to only teach about the big–bang theory and evolution. What students are being taught
today is only a scientific theory and can not be proved, so why not at least teach the theory our nation was founded upon to the students. They are only
being taught a single side of the story with no option to learn any other theory. There are also many parents who want their children to be exposed to
different theories of the Earth's creation. Without teaching multiple theories, there is no way for children to have an interest sparked in them to
investigate into the many theories that are in existence. Also, it is very inappropriate in the school setting for the students to

The origin of life: Intelligent Design vs. materialistic naturalism
The origin of life has been questioned by men for thousands of years. Scientist have studied the universe extensively and developed various theories to
answer questions related to the origin of life. Questions like, how did life begin? Is the universe the result of chaotic chance or intelligent design? How
did life on earth come to be? These are some of the many questions scientist work hard to solve, but what does their research tell them? Let's start with
the well–recognized theory of evolution. Evolution, a theory made famous by Charles Darwin; is the process in which an organism changes over time
via adaptation, mutation and gene isolation. According to an article by evolutionary biologist Richard Lenski (2012), "There exists no other scientific
explanation that can account for all the patterns in nature, only non–scientific explanations that require a miraculous force, like a creator." Looking at
the millions of fossils dated to be thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions and billions of years old; this theory seems solid. According to an
article, by bio technician Brian Thomas (2011), a discrepancy about a time period known as the Cambrian explosion; dated to be about 800 million
years ago, has been around as early as Charles Darwin. In this article he presents the evidence that an abundance of species said not to appear until

How Did The Big Bang Caused The Red Shift In The Universe?
The Big Bang started off as energy, deep into the darkness because light didn't even exist neither did gravity and the universe was never even created.
The energy expanded and the temperature got intense and then started to expand. This is what cause the universe, millions of galaxies, stars, and solar
systems. Scientists discovered that the space in the Universe was expanding and what cause this was the Big Bang. The evidence can be proven wrong
but because of this, what had caused the red shift that was heard in the sky? Scientists believed that the red shift was caused by the Big Bang that was
14 billion years ago.
The evidence for this was the Cosmic Background Radiation and because of this, they noticed the temperature from it and believed

Theories On How The Universe Formed
Theories of How The Universe Formed There are many theories on how the universes was created. Some being ideas based on science and some
being mere myths. The Big Bang Theory is a science based theory, it gives a rational explanation as to how the universe might have come into
existence. The Big Bang theory states that all matter of the universe started a one giant atom which exploded with a 'big bang' sending dust a gas in all
directions. That gas and dust then forming the suns and planets we know today. This theory was first stated by George Lemaitre, a Belgian scientist
and priest, in 1927. His idea was mostly ignored until 1929 when an astronomer by the name of Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe is indeed
expanding. Now, the Big Bang theory in the perfect reason why this expanding would be occurring, and this expanding is evidence that some where in
history, the universe must have started at one point. The Big Bang theory explains how the dust and gas got here to form the stars and planets, and
why the the universe would be expanding. Some more evidence of the 'Big Bang' is in the mid–1960s, astronomers Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson
were having difficulty tuning into the microwave signals that come from the Milky Way. They kept picking up a weak hissing noise that they... Show

Big Bang Timeline
Timeline of The Big Bang
The broadly accepted theory for the origin and evolution of our universe is the Big Bang model, which states that the universe began as an incredibly
hot, dense point roughly 13.7 billion years ago before expanding into a large, unexplored cosmos; home to an unknown amount of planets and systems.
The universe begins with a cataclysm that generates space and time, as well as all the matter and energy the universe will ever hold. For an
incomprehensibly small fraction of a second, the universe is an infinitely dense, hot fireball. At 10–35 to 10–33 seconds a runaway process called
"Inflation" causes a vast expansion of space filled with this energy. The inflationary period is stopped only when this energy is transformed into matter
and energy as we know it.
After inflation, one millionth of a second after the Big Bang, the universe continues to expand but not nearly so quickly. The most basic forces in
nature become distinct: first gravity, then the strong force which holds nuclei of atoms together, followed by the weak and electromagnetic forces. By
the first second, the universe is made up of fundamental particles and energy: quarks, electrons, photons, neutrinos and less familiar types. These
particles merge together to form protons and neutrons. These protons and neutrons come together to form the nuclei of simple elements: hydrogen,
helium and lithium. It will take another 300,000 years for electrons to be captured into orbits around these nuclei

It also proves that because of the new things we have found out, we can begin to look even deeper to uncover more of the unknown about our
universe. By the Hubble Telescope getting images of the Butterfly Nebula, we can truly see how stars are formed. This helps support the theory of
the Nebular Hypothesis because now that we have images of a nebula and how stars form from it, we can prove that that was the way our star, the
Sun, was formed. The discovery of dark matter helps us realize how much mass there truly is in the universe and can help us determine the future of
the universe. Hubble discovering the age of the universe helps us to date when certain events have occurred and have an understanding of how long it
took for it to form. It has also proved the Big Bang Theory because it discovered distant galaxies using redshift and shows how the universe came from
a small area and started expanding, which is still continuing today. Overall, Hubble's discoveries have opened up the door to many more

Revolution in Cosmology Resolves Dispute over Universe's Age
Revolution in Cosmology Resolves Dispute over Universe's Age
Just under seven years ago, astronomers using the Hubble space telescope presented results they hoped would help answer one of the most contentious
issues in astronomy of the 20th century – the question of the distance scale of the universe. But there was some unease when the result was announced.
According to the report, other galaxies were close enough that, extrapolating backwards from their current rate of recession and making adjustments for
the influence of gravity, they all would have been together (that is, the Big Bang would have occurred) as recently as 8 billion years ago.
Unfortunately, there was strong evidence already in place that some stars were at least 12–15 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This problem wasn't solved until the 1920s, when Edwin Hubble devised the first method of extragalactic distance measurement. His technique relied
on stars known as Cepheid variables, whose luminosities can be easily determined by measuring their rates of pulsation. Comparing this luminosity
with the stars' observed brightness allowed Hubble to estimate the distance to Cepheid stars in such galaxies, affirming their extragalactic location.
That the universe extended beyond the Milky Way was already widely surmised, and this discovery didn't change much. The revolution came when
Hubble compared these newfound distances with the velocities of galaxies, which can be determined by measuring their color spectra. To his surprise,
he found the two to be nearly linearly correlated, leading to the conclusion that every galaxy is receding from every other galaxy, and the universe as a
whole is expanding.
How does this relate to the age and origin of the universe? The principle is really quite simple: if the velocity and distance to most galaxies are known,
one can extrapolate their motion backward to find the time that they were all compressed together at the moment of the universe's origin, the Big Bang.
The duration between then and now is the universe's age. Of course, a simple linear extrapolation won't do; the gravity resulting from matter in the
universe can be

In this lecture, I would like to discuss whether time itself has a beginning, and whether it will have an end. All the evidence seems to indicate, that the
universe has not existed forever, but that it had a beginning, about 15 billion years ago. This is probably the most remarkable discovery of modern
cosmology. Yet it is now taken for granted. We are not yet certain whether the universe will have an end. When I gave a lecture in Japan, I was asked
not to mention the possible re–collapse of the universe, because it might affect the stock market. However, I can re–assure anyone who is nervous
about their investments that it is a bit early to sell: even if the universe does come to an end, it won 't be for at least twenty billion years. By that time,
maybe the GATT trade agreement will have come into effect.
The time scale of the universe is very long compared to that for human life. It was therefore not surprising that until recently, the universe was thought
to be essentially static, and unchanging in time. On the other hand, it must have been obvious, that society is evolving

Give examples of fixed and variable costs by developing and selling a new product. Fixed costs * R&D cost * Marketing cost to campaigns * Building up sales and organization Variable cost * Production cost * Sales provision, discounts * Distribution directly related to the sales of products Question 1.2 Analyze and assess by using the subject's concepts ‐ why 2009 was a challenging year for Bang & Olufsen A/S. The number if customers are enormous, because nowadays every people use these technologies to make their lives easier and comfortable. But the size of their orders are not that much, since each household needs only one or two audio/hi–fi system to cover all needs of those who live there. It means that they can pick up and decide which device they want to use for what and they can vary the brands they choose from. There are two things which are important for buyers: the quality and the price. The numbers of alternative suppliers are huge so the customers have a lot of opportunities to shop around and also because of the low switching costs, it is very important to keep the quality high and in the same time to keep the price as low as it is possible, otherwise the customer will choose another supplier. 5. Bargaining power of suppliers The resources in case of B&O are not that essential since more and more suppliers are available nowadays in this huge industry, they don't really have a powerful position. B&O has a really strong relationship with its suppliers, because most of its production is outsourced by buying picture tubes from Philips, plasma screens from Panasonic and peripheral devices from range if suppliers. ... • 2. Essay on Christian Beliefs in the Origins of the World Christian Beliefs in the Origins of the World "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." A Description of Christian Beliefs About the Origins of The World Christians believe that God created the universe. In Chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis, we are told that God creates both the universe and everything that is in it. Thomas Aquinas, a leading scholar of the Middle Ages, argued that "Everything in the universe has a cause. Trace those causes back and there must have been a First Cause that triggered everything else. God is that First Cause." This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This would explain how God managed to create the entire universe in just six days, though it is quite hard to accept that as fact, as it is impossible to prove that it is right or wrong. It seems impossible that creation could have been accomplished in a mere six days. In Genesis one, note that no theory of evolution can be accommodated within it. Genesis is saying that the earth came before the sun, grass and trees before sea life, and birds before land animals. So does science contradict the Bible? Before one is able to answer this question, one must find out what the scientific facts are, rather than the unproven theories created by Scientists. Some scientists are Christians, who believe in God but also in evolution. There are many different views on the subject of just how the earth was created. The Big Bang is just one of those theories. The Big Bang is a very popular theory among both Christians and non–Christians. However, it is not totally unquestionable, if it were there would be no more arguments concerning the creation of the world. The main question asked about the Big Bang is "Who, or what triggered it?" For Christians, it is God who triggered the Big Bang. This theory backs that of Aquinas'. They both argue that God was the trigger in the creation. A lesser popular and lesser ... • 3. big bang theory Essay The Big Bang theory states that all the matter that is in the universe was once in a very small amount of space with infinite temperature, pressure, and density. This theory is well supported and there are many reason for it's support. One main reason is that no one really has a clue and The BigBang Theory seems far fetched but more reasonable than any other ideas that there are out there. Some of the important thing to know about the big bang to understand are the beginning and the few seconds immediately after the actually bang. Also what generally has happened since the then. It is important to know theories of how it will end as well, and to get a well rounded opinion, I feel it useful to have some of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From this background radiation, cosmologists have been able to learn things about the particles that filled the universe 18 billion years ago (the approximate time of the Big Bang). Perhaps the single most important thing that we know about conditions immediately after the Big Bang is that the universe was extremely dense. That is, all the matter and energy in it was compressed very tightly together. On the other hand we do not know how big the universe was immediately after the Big Bang. Because we do not know how big the universe is now. If the Universe is infinitely large then it would have been infinitely large then, because there is now way something could go from have a finite size to having an infinite size. So if the universe has a finite size today then it had a finite, and proportionally small, size then. We do, however, know how large the visible universe would have been immediately after the Big Bang. The visible universe is the portion of the universe that an observer, imaginary for comparison, would be able to see. The visible universe today has a radius of about 18 billion light years, because that is how far light has been able to travel in the approximately 18 billion years since the Big Bang. Anything outside of that 18 billion light year radius would be invisible to us because the light from it has not reached us yet. This would be true for observers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Samarium Vs Neodymium Many extraterrestrial objects present during the early years of our universe, including Earth, have been shown to share similar levels of Neodymium–142, an isotope of Neodymium. Neodymium–142, which is found throughout the Earth's crust, was researched to be present alongside Samarium within the formation of our Solar System. Researchers were previously hinted to this discovery in 2005, when 142Nd was found in chondrites, which are meteorites considered to be the "building blocks of terrestrial rocks." Data collected from this research was used to detect differences between the Earth's interior layers and chondrites for its first 30 million years. The introduction of isotopes brought into this speculation provide many answers to the question ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Anyone interested in cosmology or the origins of the Solar System should definitely research into this topic. It provides good details with background and evidence on its subject. I would have personally not have known much of this if it was not for reading this article. I wasn't formerly aware of the stability, or lack thereof, during our Solar System's formation and the creation of terrestrial objects. Nor did I know of how much one small detail, such as similar levels of an element's isotope, could change our point of view on a subject of this importance. This information is potentially advantageous when it comes to conversations or debates on this topic, or even for personal questioning of our general creation and existence in our Solar ... • 5. In this debate, religion challenges science's 'extreme' logical explanation of the origin of the universe while science challenges religion's 'fanatical' approach. Due to the differing principles of religion and science, Shermer's perspective of their relationship is precise as we see that co–existence is not feasible. According to Merriam Webster, religion is defined as the faith, service, and worship of God or the supernatural while science is defined as the organized, systematic enterprise that obtains knowledge about the world and condenses it into testable laws or principles. In these two definitions, we already find contradictory ideas as science attempts to understand phenomena logically while religion emphasizes the idea that "[God's] thoughts are not [our] thoughts, neither are [our] ways [His] ways" (New International Version, Isaiah 55:8–9). It is religion's emphasis that this supernatural Being can be illogical according to man's understanding: a key reason why religion and science cannot co–exist. A prime example of this is the Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It plots the measure of the stars' intrinsic brightness verves the temperature of stars against their luminosity, or the color of stars against their absolute magnitude. While depending on the main sequence and initial mass, every star goes through specific evolutionary stage and is spoke by its internal structure and how it produces energy. The role the sun plays in supporting life on Earth is endless as people rarely acknowledge its existence as it is one of the primary reasons that life exists on earth. It has many benefits that prove is a lot more than a gigantic lamp that lights our daily actions. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... No, I don't think God is concerned about the stars because it's tells us that in the Bible that "God isn't just concerned about big things". Instead, what He is concerned about is the smallest and most unimportant things. After all, He did put the stars in space and created them. As the Bible says, "By him (Christ) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible" (Colossians 1:16). What the number of stars, and the fact that God has named them all, tell me about God is for His understanding in us. For wherever we go, God is there. Whatever we do, God is there. He hears us as we call out to Him for nothing escapes His notice. He continues to watch over us all and is concerned about us and loves us all dearly. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you." 1 Peter ... • 7. Rock 'n' Roll and Cultural Revolution Rock 'n' Roll and Revolution As a distinctly American form of cultural expression, Rock 'n Roll may be our nation's greatest global export. Its influence on popular, social and artistic mores on a global basis is incomparable. Indeed, one could make the argument that most modern forms of popular music derive from the basic components, if not the underlying attitude, or Rock ' Roll. However, this observation should not be at the expense of considering the yet more powerful influence that this musical form has had on our society as a whole. This is the premise driving Glenn C. Altschuler's 2003 text All Shook Up: How Rock 'N' Roll Changes America. According to the Altschuler text, Elvis Presley and his contemporaries would not just alter the musical landscape but would create a stark generation gap, a deconstruction of racial barriers and dismantling of sexual taboos. In this regard, the text argues, Rock 'n Roll would do nothing less than alter the course of American life. Dividing the text into separate sections identifying the relationship between the burgeoning phenomenon of RNR and the patterns of social rebellion that were undermining the conservative establishment, Altschuler shows how this mode of musical expression really did extend from a growing sense of disaffection, discontent and disenfranchisement. In fact, Altschuler does a tremendous job of showing the sharp divide between the conservative guard and the youth culture gravitating to the new form of music by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. A Short History of Nearly Everything A Short History of Nearly Everything is a popular science book by American author Bill Bryson that explains some areas of science, using a style of language which aims to be more accessible to the general public than many other books dedicated to the subject. It was one of the bestselling popular science books of 2005 in the UK, selling over 300,000 copies.[1] instead describing general sciences such as chemistry, paleontology, astronomy, and particle physics. In it, he explores time from theBig Bang to the discovery of quantum mechanics, via evolution and geology. Bryson tells the story of science through the stories of the people who made the discoveries, such as Edwin Hubble, Isaac Newton, and Albert Einstein. Background Bill ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just like the alchemists of old, scientists have a regrettable tendency to "vaile their secrets with mistie speech". Science, John Keats sulked, "will clip an Angel 's wings, / Conquer all mysteries by rule and line." Bryson turns this on its head by blaming the messenger rather than the message. Robbing nature of its mystery is what he thinks most science books do best. But, unlike Keats, he doesn 't believe that this is at all necessary. We may be living in societies less ready to believe in magic, miracles or afterlives, but the sublime remains. Rather as Richard Dawkins has argued, Bryson insists that the results of scientific study can be wondrous and very often are so. The trick is to write about them in a way that makes them comprehensible without crushing nature 's mystique. Bryson provides a lesson in how it should be done. The prose is just as one would expect – energetic, quirky, familiar and humorous. Bryson 's great skill is that of lightly holding the reader 's hand throughout; building up such trust that topics as recondite as atomic weights, relativity and particle physics are shorn of their terrors. The amount of ground covered is truly impressive. From the furthest reaches of cosmology, we range through time and space until we are looking at the smallest particles. We explore our own planet and get to grips with the ideas, first of Newton and then of Einstein, that allow us ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Science and Religion Essay Science and religion have always collided. Science is based on observation and what we can prove. Religion on the other hand makes arguments analytical in nature and requires faith. The basis though may not seem similar. A scientist might call this as the order in the universe or the Energy, which is transmitted in the world we live in. Religions like to look this ultimate reality as God. This entity is capable of setting an order in the universe and is nothing but what religion defines as God. Science and Religion then appear to be tied up like two versions of the same subject. What major affects does science have on religion in the past two centuries? From Isaac Newton, who discovered gravity, Thomas Edison who invented to light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All these affect religion and who believes it and to what extent we as people actually believe. In today's society people want to be able to grasp, to hold it, and even just feel it. So how do some people believe in God, we are not able to see him, hold him, let alone hear him? So how can we actually believe in something that is not there? Now you see this is how science draws us away from our beliefs. Science says that, "seeing is believing." Meaning that if u can see something then you can believe in it. We are not able to see him. But his existence could be debated using knowledge based on what we see around us. For instance when we throw coins on a table, these coins will stop and arrange themselves on the table. What made the coins be in the order we see them after they have been thrown? Maybe it was the cause of Newton's Laws. But then again this order as proposed by Science implies an order setter. Is this God, a human like, yet unseen being? Are his features well defined? How do we describe the qualities of such a being? If He is perfect, his features are the highest level of moral standards, then we can say that him and is followers are beyond our understanding. We might say that he is wise, he knows all, and he is merciful and powerful. But these just limits how we express things not described by our won language. It is possible we might not have ... • 10. The Big Bang Theory Essay The Big Bang Theory There have been many theories concerning what the universe looks like, how it became this way, and where it is going. The most popular theory that people hold today is that the universe began when all the matter ever present in the universe was contained in a tiny speck and that spec exploded. This is known as the Big Bang. This theory has developed a great deal since it was first conceptualized and continues to evolve today. Many different scientists have had a hand in this. Throughout time people have held different ideas of what the universe looks like, from the Aristotelian universe centered around the Earth to the Copernican universe with our Sun at the center. After Sir Isaac Newton invented physics,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A century later the French naturalist George–Louis Leclerc, later made Comte de Buffon by Louis XV, would improve on this idea in 1778. He did this by carrying out a set of experiments with balls of metals heated to the point where they were glowing read and about to melt and then observing the time that is too them to cool. Buffon came up with a number of 75,000 years. Theologians did not like this revision of their timescale and the encroachment of science into their area of knowledge. (Gribbin, 14) In 1820 another French man named James Fourier took the next step in estimating the Earth's age. He accounted for the fact that the Earth is still hot in its core and using mathematical techniques that he developed and we still use today for time–varying phenomena, came up with a number too staggering foe him to write down. He did however leave us his equations and it is easy to plug in the same numbers and get the answer that he could not say, which comes out to be 100 million years. (Gribbin, 16) From here scientists started to look at the Sun and determine how long it had been around. This was undertaken simultaneously by two different people, William Thompson, more commonly knows as Lord Kelvin, who helped to build the foundation of thermodynamics and also by Helmholtz in 1887. Big Bang – is also called a "Singularity" which contains Mass and energy that we see today. It's said over time that the energy from this Theory began to cool down as the Universe began to expand. It is said by some that God used the Big Bang to create the Universe. The evolutionary view shows that the most recent Big Bang happened or began 10–20 billion years ago. It is said that prior to that, matter and energy and the whole universe was condensed to a super–dense "comic egg" the size of the electron. It is now said that the cosmic egg

While on the surface I might seem very atheistic and anti–religion, this is very far from the truth. I have had quite a complicated relationship with religion over the years, and it is still something I am struggling to figure out. When I was in primary school we were taught quite a lot about religion. It was something that was constantly there in the school's agenda, with assemblies every Monday morning in which our songs about recycling were intermingled with songs about God and Jesus, and the things they do for us. Easter and Christmastime were spent being told stories from the Bible and eating chocolates from Nativity–inspired advent calendars. I never really thought much about any of it at first, being quite young and naГЇve. Having never really talked about religion much before coming to school meant that this was the first I had heard about the matter, and hence my impressionable young mind took these stories in to be truths as opposed to religious beliefs. It was only when I became slightly older that the topic of religion came up more frequently in my household conversations. I was still under the impression that all of these stories I had been told were more or less true, but my parents' atheism soon caused me to begin questioning whether or not I actually believed what I was hearing in school. I started to doubt that there was a God, simply because my still impressionable mind was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. Essay on The Big Bang Theory The Big Bang Theory Why is the Universe expanding? What is Cosmic Back Ground Radiation (CBR)? There are many questions asked about our Universe, which we know so little about. Scientists, in their attempt to answer these and other confrontations, have found one idea that seems to explain much of what we don't understand: The Big Bang Theory. An explosion of incomprehensible speed was the beginning of our known Universe and existence. At that time matter as small as the head of a pin inflated to become larger than the visible Universe of today in less than one millisecond. The newly born Universe cooled very quickly and continued to grow. Still, the heat was too great for normal elementary particles like protons and neutrons to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There were many people who worked together to come up with the present theory of creation. Edwin Hubble, Arno Penzias, Robert Wilson and Alan Guth all contributed greatly to the formation of the Big Bang theory. Edwin Hubble used his large telescope to see far away stars and galaxies. He knew that the elements in the stars reflected back specific colors, and you could tell what a star was made of by its color ?DNA?. Hubble noticed that this pattern had been slightly shifted to the red side of the spectrum, otherwise called a red shift. He knew, based on the Doppler effect, that a red shift was caused by the stretched wavelengths of an object moving away from a point. If the galaxies he had observed had shifted to the red side then it meant that they were moving away from Earth. He also discovered that the galaxies were moving away from each other, as well. With these observations in mind, Hubble announced that the universe was expanding. He then came to this syllogism: If the universe is expanding, then at one point it was smaller. The result of his postulations was the Big Bang theory. Another mystery of the universe was the Cosmic Background Radiation (CBR). CBR is made up of photons throughout the universe that are floating for no apparent reason in space. Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson spent their lives trying to explain the origin of this radiation and why it is still existent today. Their discoveries

  • 18. Big Bang Theory Or A Big Fabrication Adair Day AP English IV Mrs. Britt Collins 14 March 2016 Big Bang Theory or a Big Fabrication The concept of creation has boggled human's minds for centuries. Human nature has an intuitive sense of longing for an answer to solve the unknown, and creation embodies the concept of unknown. In an effort to compile reason and scientific knowledge, an explanation of the formation of the universe was formed and is widely known as The Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang Theory is considered, "...the leading scientific explanation for the formation of the universe" (Howell). The Big Bang Theory articulates that before this event there was nothing; and after it there was something. This suggestion to how the universe was created was originally born from the sighting that the surrounding galaxies are moving away from our own at an immense speed as if they had been propelled by some force (Howell). The standard theory states that the entire universe originated as a condensed, infinitely pressured, singularity, which defies the laws of today's understanding of physics. It is a misconception this event occurred as an explosion; rather it resembled more of an expansion. At one moment there was nothing in existence and in the following, the universe expanded as a balloon would, from a sub atomic particle, to all that it is today. This notion of how the universe was created, is nothing more than a shot into the dark, literally, and holds no validity. At this exact moment there are roughly 100,000 ... I figured that the Big Bang Theory had something to with the era of a new generation. One in which started after the extinction of dinosaurs to be quite honest. As I learn more about astronomy, this topic struck an interest and technically the big bang theory isn't something that occurred but rather something that happened. It started the beginning of what we now call the universe. When we ask astronomers what the big bang theory entails, it is simplified as the explanation on how the universe started or began. The universe was not what it currently is today and in order to understand our universe we have to obviously start from somewhere so why no start to the beginning? According to astronomers there is little known about how the universe was started but as far as we know it started with a gravitational singularity. Singularities are believed to exist at the center of black holes. The singularities then inflated over the next 13.8 billion years to what we see in the sky today. It's hard to look back in time and see how the universe came about, but astronomers can somewhat summarize the birth through mathematical theory and models of how the Big bang theory came about. Marquel Gray Prof. Heather Clark 7/22/13 Eng.111–60A The origin of life: Intelligent Design vs. materialistic naturalism The origin of life has been questioned by men for thousands of years. Scientist have studied the universe extensively and developed various theories to answer questions related to the origin of life. Questions like, how did life begin? Is the universe the result of chaotic chance or intelligent design? How did life on earth come to be? These are some of the many questions scientist work hard to solve, but what does their research tell them? Let's start with the well–recognized theory of evolution. Evolution, a theory made famous by Charles Darwin; is the process in which an organism changes over time via adaptation, mutation and gene isolation. According to an article by evolutionary biologist Richard Lenski (2012), "There exists no other scientific explanation that can account for all the patterns in nature, only non–scientific explanations that require a miraculous force, like a creator." Looking at the millions of fossils dated to be thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions and billions of years old; this theory seems solid. According to an article, by bio technician Brian Thomas (2011), a discrepancy about a time period known as the Cambrian explosion; dated to be about 800 million years ago, has been around as early as Charles Darwin. In this article he presents the evidence that an abundance of species said not to appear until ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. How Did The Big Bang Caused The Red Shift In The Universe? The Big Bang started off as energy, deep into the darkness because light didn't even exist neither did gravity and the universe was never even created. The energy expanded and the temperature got intense and then started to expand. This is what cause the universe, millions of galaxies, stars, and solar systems. Scientists discovered that the space in the Universe was expanding and what cause this was the Big Bang. The evidence can be proven wrong but because of this, what had caused the red shift that was heard in the sky? Scientists believed that the red shift was caused by the Big Bang that was 14 billion years ago. The evidence for this was the Cosmic Background Radiation and because of this, they noticed the temperature from it and believed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Personal Narrative : The Big Bang Theory A loud ringing noise filled my ears, i sit up from my bed; look at the time and realize that i slept through my alarm twice. I bolted out of bed and quickly went up stairs and checked my phone for any texts that i might have gotten that night. When i turned my phone on i saw that noah had messaged me. The text read, ВЁHey when are we picking you up for the beach?ВЁ ВЁShoot!ВЁ I exclaimed. I had totally forgot that we were going to the beach that day. I immediately went to the cupboard to get some cereal, then I went and sat on the couch and turned on my favorite television show; The Big Bang Theory. After NoahВґs mom parked the car we got our stuff and starting walking down the beach until we found NoahВґs cousins. Once we finally found them we setup our towels and set down our bags and ran into the water. It was absolutely freezing, well; it was lake Michigan. After swimming for about ten or so minutes we laid out in the sun for about 40 minutes. When we all got up from our towels Noah had the bright idea of walking about a mile down the beach to a sand dune. The walk was pretty long, considering that we had to walk in the deep sand. Once we got to the sand dune we all started climbing it; Phoebe and I had never been to that beach/sand dune before so we had no idea of what we were getting ourselves into. After about ten feet out of 200 or so feet Phoebe and I were absolutely dying of heat exhaustion. Our leg muscles were burning and our feet were on fire as the sun beat down on the treacherous unstable sand. We both just kept telling ourselves that we would get ice cream if we got to the top of the sand dune. After ten minutes we were half was up the sand dune. We took over a dozen breaks in those ten minutes. The sand dune felt as if it was completely vertical. On our way up Noah kept taunting us with gatorade. He found this "missing matter" by measuring the motions of the Coma Cluster. Sean Carroll states that Zwicky began his measurements by "estimate(ing) how much mass there was in that cluster. Then he compared it to how much mass you could actually see by looking at the galaxies." (The Universe) The narrator continues by reporting that something was wrong with the calculations. "There should have been a hundred and sixty times more illuminated mass to account for the random speeds of galaxies in the cluster." • 36. Confirming Einstein's Theory By Dennis Overbye: Article... Dennis Overbye wrote a fascinating article called "Gravitational Waves Detected, Confirming Einstein's Theory". The main idea in this article was to tell us how on Thursday, February 11, scientists discovered gravitational waves cause by two black holes colliding a billion light–years away and in addition to the research leading up to the discovery to gravitational waves. The article starts telling the readers how a team of scientists announced on Thursday, February 11, that they had heard and recorded the sound of two black holes colliding a billion light–years away. The far–off tone that was recorded is the first straightforward evidence of gravitational waves. Gravitational waves are ripples in the fabric of space–time. This discovery ... • 37. Theories On How The Universe Formed Theories of How The Universe Formed There are many theories on how the universes was created. Some being ideas based on science and some being mere myths. The Big Bang Theory is a science based theory, it gives a rational explanation as to how the universe might have come into existence. The Big Bang theory states that all matter of the universe started a one giant atom which exploded with a 'big bang' sending dust a gas in all directions. That gas and dust then forming the suns and planets we know today. This theory was first stated by George Lemaitre, a Belgian scientist and priest, in 1927. His idea was mostly ignored until 1929 when an astronomer by the name of Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe is indeed expanding. Now, the Big Bang theory in the perfect reason why this expanding would be occurring, and this expanding is evidence that some where in history, the universe must have started at one point. The Big Bang theory explains how the dust and gas got here to form the stars and planets, and why the the universe would be expanding. Some more evidence of the 'Big Bang' is in the mid–1960s, astronomers Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson were having difficulty tuning into the microwave signals that come from the Milky Way. They kept picking up a weak hissing noise that they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This myth came from the Boshongo people of central Africa. • 38. Why Is Connor A Hero Is Connor a Hero? Unwind, a very well written science fiction book by Neal Shusterman. There are a few arguments arguing whether Connor, a male character in Unwind, is a hero or not. According to my opinion on this argument, I would say that Connor is a hero and is not a hero, but goes more towards being a hero. Connor Lassiter is a 16–year–old male in Unwind. He was very aghast when he saw a letter signed by his parents as to Unwinding him. Unwinding is the transplanting of a teen's body parts to another person who is in need of those parts. In the following three paragraphs, I will tell you what specifically is a hero, why Connor is a hero, and why Connor isn't a hero. What is a hero? • 39. Big Bang Timeline Timeline of The Big Bang The broadly accepted theory for the origin and evolution of our universe is the Big Bang model, which states that the universe began as an incredibly hot, dense point roughly 13.7 billion years ago before expanding into a large, unexplored cosmos; home to an unknown amount of planets and systems. The universe begins with a cataclysm that generates space and time, as well as all the matter and energy the universe will ever hold. For an incomprehensibly small fraction of a second, the universe is an infinitely dense, hot fireball. At 10–35 to 10–33 seconds a runaway process called "Inflation" causes a vast expansion of space filled with this energy. The inflationary period is stopped only when this energy is transformed into matter and energy as we know it. After inflation, one millionth of a second after the Big Bang, the universe continues to expand but not nearly so quickly. The most basic forces in nature become distinct: first gravity, then the strong force which holds nuclei of atoms together, followed by the weak and electromagnetic forces. By the first second, the universe is made up of fundamental particles and energy: quarks, electrons, photons, neutrinos and less familiar types. These particles merge together to form protons and neutrons. These protons and neutrons come together to form the nuclei of simple elements: hydrogen, helium and lithium. It will take another 300,000 years for electrons to be captured into orbits around these nuclei ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This remark was by Edwin Hubble, the man that the Hubble telescope was named after. The telescope made many amazing discoveries in the field of astronomy, as well as the man himself did. It was said that Edwin Hubble revolutionized the field of astrophysics. Biography.com states, "His research helped prove that the universe is expanding and he created a classification system for galaxies that has been used for several decades." It also proves that because of the new things we have found out, we can begin to look even deeper to uncover more of the unknown about our universe. By the Hubble Telescope getting images of the Butterfly Nebula, we can truly see how stars are formed. This helps support the theory of the Nebular Hypothesis because now that we have images of a nebula and how stars form from it, we can prove that that was the way our star, the Sun, was formed. The discovery of dark matter helps us realize how much mass there truly is in the universe and can help us determine the future of the universe. Hubble discovering the age of the universe helps us to date when certain events have occurred and have an understanding of how long it took for it to form. It has also proved the Big Bang Theory because it discovered distant galaxies using redshift and shows how the universe came from a small area and started expanding, which is still continuing today. • 41. Revolution in Cosmology Resolves Dispute over Universe's Age Revolution in Cosmology Resolves Dispute over Universe's Age Just under seven years ago, astronomers using the Hubble space telescope presented results they hoped would help answer one of the most contentious issues in astronomy of the 20th century – the question of the distance scale of the universe. But there was some unease when the result was announced. According to the report, other galaxies were close enough that, extrapolating backwards from their current rate of recession and making adjustments for the influence of gravity, they all would have been together (that is, the Big Bang would have occurred) as recently as 8 billion years ago. Unfortunately, there was strong evidence already in place that some stars were at least 12–15 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This problem wasn't solved until the 1920s, when Edwin Hubble devised the first method of extragalactic distance measurement. His technique relied on stars known as Cepheid variables, whose luminosities can be easily determined by measuring their rates of pulsation. Comparing this luminosity with the stars' observed brightness allowed Hubble to estimate the distance to Cepheid stars in such galaxies, affirming their extragalactic location. That the universe extended beyond the Milky Way was already widely surmised, and this discovery didn't change much. The revolution came when Hubble compared these newfound distances with the velocities of galaxies, which can be determined by measuring their color spectra. To his surprise, he found the two to be nearly linearly correlated, leading to the conclusion that every galaxy is receding from every other galaxy, and the universe as a whole is expanding. How does this relate to the age and origin of the universe? The principle is really quite simple: if the velocity and distance to most galaxies are known, one can extrapolate their motion backward to find the time that they were all compressed together at the moment of the universe's origin, the Big Bang. The duration between then and now is the universe's age. Of course, a simple linear extrapolation won't do; the gravity resulting from matter in the universe can be ... Note that there may be incorrect spellings, punctuation and/or grammar in this document. This is to allow correct pronunciation and timing by a speech synthesiser. Picture In this lecture, I would like to discuss whether time itself has a beginning, and whether it will have an end. All the evidence seems to indicate, that the universe has not existed forever, but that it had a beginning, about 15 billion years ago. This is probably the most remarkable discovery of modern cosmology. Yet it is now taken for granted. We are not yet certain whether the universe will have an end. When I gave a lecture in Japan, I was asked not to mention the possible re–collapse of the universe, because it might affect the stock market. However, I can re–assure anyone who is nervous about their investments that it is a bit early to sell: even if the universe does come to an end, it won 't be for at least twenty billion years. By that time, maybe the GATT trade agreement will have come into effect. The time scale of the universe is very long compared to that for human life. It was therefore not surprising that until recently, the universe was thought to be essentially static, and unchanging in time. On the other hand, it must have been obvious, that society is evolving ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
