Mine Operation :
During my terms the mine operation suffer crisis of saprolite ore. They are required an ore
transferred material for 11th Ordinary Shipment were scheduled 2 weeks before the shipment.
Therefore the Assay Laboratory was advised to release assay result much more than the regular
number of samples. As a laboratory in-charge I do my part and doubled the volume of assay
results to solve the operation problem. Yet before the shipment schedule comes the crisis was
settled.

Inform the mine operation regarding their submitted samples with regards to the assay result
discrepancy so that they will conduct investigation and evaluation to the sampling process and to
the other section who are involved in the operation.
For Assay Laboratory:
Understand the laboratory procedure since it was observed that the previous procedure
introduced to us by the senior supervisor was not comprehensive and not clear where the values
came from since it was a hereditary from the pass assay laboratory personnel. The values were
examined and evaluate through standardization process how it was taken and established.
Revise the procedure of quick assay from 2 hours to 20 minutes drying with the same assay
result.
General Accomplishment:
Successful loading of Saprolite Ore loaded material to PAMCO JAPAN without any rejection.
METALLURGICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN July 13, 2001
METALLURGICAL DEPARTMENT
MANILA MINING CORPORATION – PLACER PROJECT
PLACER , SURIGAO DEL NORTE
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform the following metallurgical laboratory testing process depend on the plant situation.
When the processing plant undergo high tailings recovery automatically the Met. Lab. examined
the cause. Conduct testing for carbon in pulp, carbon activity test, cyanidation in different size
fraction and any other applicable test will vary the production might have good recovery. If new
type of material introduce to the plant the laboratory will conduct various testing to prevent
expensive processing and avoid metallurgical problem.
Evaluate the flow rate of the reagent being used during production period to minimize the cost,
and an excess of the reagent flow rate can cause metallurgical problem. For Cupper floatation
test to attain good recovery and the fines of the copper concentrate. Monitor every 2 hours the
input and output material sample to the plant. Recommend any possible process that can help
the status of good production. Perform screen analysis. Examine different size fraction %
recovery to a small volume related to big volume of production.
Directly reporting to the immediate section heads. When she was absent, I take over the as an
OIC of the department until my head will resume to work.
