Learnt that how an industry works and especially the traits of a food industry.
Observed the deviation of real processes from ideal ones.
Studied the basic operations of a running industry such as extruding, rolling,
sieving, cooling drying in the process plants.
Learnt the great influence of temperature, pressure and relative humidity
variation on the process and further on the quality of product.
Got familiar with the basic operating equipment’s of an industry like
conveyers, wrapping machines.
Application of Fluid Mechanics was thoroughly studies and observed such as
the running of pumps, compressors, filters etc.

e Recommendations for the Solution of Some Problems
To improve the overall hygiene, there should be kit and uniform for workers
including hats and gloves as bare hands can affect the purity and quality of
product.
Quality and micron efficiency of sieves used all over industry must be
revised because sieving fails when there is again need of hand sorting which
again consumes time and increase labor.
Only some of the equipment are washed daily while floor and corners of the
production plant are too untidy. This will not only increase impurities in
product but also pollute air which then adversely affects relative humidity of
the region and ultimately temperature maintenance issues will arise.
