Science 7 - LAND and SEA BREEZE and its Characteristics
photoshop narrative
1. Photoshop
For the Holocaust pictures, I used the some of the Lynda tutorials. I first used
the cropping tool to remove the bulk of the original images I didn’t want to use.
Then, I used the polygonal lasso tool to cut out all of the images from their
remaining backgrounds. After using the lasso tool, I used the eraser tool with a small
sized brush to remove all of the smaller remaining pieces of the backgrounds that I
was not able to get with the lasso tool. I then used the free transform tool on the
black background to make it large enough to fit all of the images I wanted to use. On
the Star of David and the picture of Auschwitz, I changed the hues of the picture to
make them black and white instead of colored. I also used the eraser tool on the
Auschwitz picture to round the edges for a smoother look. Finally, I combined all of
the images onto one project and arranged them on the background.
The second image is one that I chose to remove the acne from the girl’s face. I
first used the spot healing brush tool all over her entire face to remove all of the
acne scars. Next I used the red eye tool to remove the red eye in her original picture.
I also used the blurring tool around her nose to make it look skinnier than before.
Finally I used the polygonal lasso tool to outline her lips, and then changed the hues
to make them look red, like they have lipstick on them.
