2. Front Cover
I used a variety of tools on Photoshop to
manipulate the main image on my front
cover. I started by using the quick
selection tool this enabled me to
get rid of the background, so I was left
with just the image.
I then used the blur tool and the
eraser tool to smooth the edges of
the image.
I also used the spot
healing tool on this
image to get rid of any
blemishes or spots on my
models face. This tool
helped to make my
images look more
professional.
Other tools I used to
adjust the tone and
colour contrast of the
image were exposure,
hue saturation and colour
balance.

Similarly to my front
cover image, on this
image I also used the
quick selection tool,
blur tool and the eraser
tool. However unlike
the Front cover image
here I used the crop
tool to slightly crop
the bottom of the
image. I didn’t use
many tools of this
image mainly because
I didn’t think they were
needed.

For the second image on my
contents page I again used
very few tools to manipulate it,
this was mainly because when
shooting this image I got the
image exactly how I wanted it.
However when adjusting it in
Photoshop I used the following
tools;
• Quick selection tool
• Eraser tool
• Spot healing brush tool
• saturation

For this image aswell as using tools I have commonly used
on all of my images, I also used the colour overlay. When
I was editing this image I realised that the lighting on it
was awful and that the model looked dull and dreary, so
I used the colour overlay
tool to change the colour
of the image which
overall made the
apperance of the image
brighter and distinct.

When manipulating this image on Photoshop I used quick selection tool, blur
tool and the eraser tool. I found using these 3 tools on this image was more
difficult than the other images because there were more models, there were
props included and they were standing in awkward positions. On this image I
also used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of any blemishes , the tool
to increase the volume in their hair and the eye drop tool.
7. Double Page Spread
On the image for my double page spread I used the tools I have used on all
my other images; quick selection tool, blur tool and eraser tool. In addition I
used the brush tool to get rid of some excess hair and the liquify tool
to amend her hair line.
