Government Intervention, Real Gdp, And National Debt From...
Sweden: The Ultimate "Elsewhere" John Malkovich once, jokingly, stated that "utopia means
elsewhere". Sandwiched in between Norway and Finland is that idealized "elsewhere", Sweden,
with a strong government and thriving economy. It is not only solidly constructed but stunning to
look at, with beautiful plant life and architecture to match. Sweden is sparsely populated with
roughly 9.6 million people living comparatively good lives (with low crime rates, 18 month long
parental leaves, and a high standard of living). It is famous for its neutral foreign policy and high
taxes. In short, Sweden is the ideal... if not to live in then definitely to visit at least once. In this
paper I will analyze Sweden, examining factors of supply and demand, government intervention,
real GDP, and national debt from an economic perspective. The first factor that I will evaluate is
how the Swedish power market has seen a rightward shift in its supply curve over the last forty
years. The Oil Crisis of the 1970s – sparked extensive research into alternative energy sources that
would result in a 53.5 percent decrease in oil dependency between 1970 and 2012 (Energy Use in
Sweden). This transition from a finite resource to its renewable counterpart opened the market for
competition in Sweden and, combined with the inelastic demand for power in a modern nation,
increased the quantity available to consumers and decreased the price. As of right now, "green"
energy cannot be exported very far because it is

Case Study Of Swedish Krona
Environmental Awareness
Another important factor is that Swedish people are used to take care of the air inside their houses
but now when they are aware of the environmental concerns and its consequences in terms of
pollution and health it represent a very good opportunity for GIOEL.
Developed Direct Selling Market
So in Sweden there's a large but decreasing (in terms of turnover) direct selling amount with an
increasing share of the person–to–person selling. If the trends will be confirmed in the future years,
the person–to–person will stabilize its position of principal way of direct selling market. So the
decreasing trend caused by e–commerce won't affect so badly GIOEL. The most important fact is
that Swedish consumers seems to rely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Krona Currency Fluctuations
According to the data provided by the European Central Bank, since 2011, Swedish Krona has
experienced fluctuations and it is not so stable until the beginning of 2013. Starting from this date
we see a clear trend of Swedish Krona depreciation which indicates a decrease of purchasing power
of the currency. If Swedish Krona continues to depreciate it could be difficult for GIOEL to compete
in the Swedish market with local producers that have lower prices and the economic exposure also
could be high.
Predominance of e–commerce
The unitary price for vacuum cleaners Is decreased in 2014 due mainly to the growing consumer
preference for basic function and economy models. At the same time we see an increase of stores
and e–commerce retailers. Since the Swedish economy in 2014 was not so thriving, consumers have
started to make shopping on discount. This fact has had obviously absorb even vacuum cleaner
purchases. In fact, all vacuum cleaners recorded a decrease on retail volume sales, with the only
exception for robotic vacuum cleaners. The direct selling is remaining only a marginal sales channel
for vacuum cleaners in Sweden, with 3% shares of retail volume sales in the same

(Hayter, 2011)Indeed workers have had very few rights, although China in response to adverse
publicity have introduced some minimum labour laws (Hollingshead, 2010)
The Scandinavian approach embraced by Sweden is strongly Pluralist (Hollingshead, 2010) which
guarantees freedom of association and is backed by the Swedish constitution. Additionally collective
bargaining agreements play a major role in the employment relationship, with trade unions enjoying
a very strong voice in Sweden (Xpert HR, 2014). In comparison to the UK, Sweden takes its
workers' rights very seriously and many employee benefits are legally enforceable, this along with
laws protecting the rights of trade union members provide significant security and benefits for
workers (Work.Sweden.Se, 2014). Additionally Sweden has extremely centralised and organised
trade Union organisations with a particularly high level of union density, its highly egalitarian
society having low levels of economic inequality but with high levels of state expenditure.
(Upchurch et al, 2009). Mutual respect is the norm between trade unions and employers and with
close links with political parties, however rigid labour laws can inhibit Foreign Investment.
(State.Gov, 2012)
On the other hand, the UK adopts a voluntarist approach to employment regulation and avoids direct
intervention in employment relations, unlike Sweden, trade unions no longer

The Theory Of Purchasing Power Parity
David Ricardo came up with the theory of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). PPP is an economic
technique used to estimate the level of adjustment needed to arrive at an agreed exchange rate
between two currencies in order that trade can effectively take place. When the price of two
commodities from two different countries is converted into one currency, the price of both
commodities should be the same. One way of determining the inter–currency exchange rates is to
carry out a PPP test. This test will also help to prevent commodity traders from buying cheaply and
selling at significantly higher rates.
The basic measure of PPP is the law of one price: Pi=EiP*i, where Ei is the exchange rate, Pi = log
(CPI of the domestic country), and P*i= log (CPI of the foreign country). The equation means that
the good i should have same price when the exchange rate is applied to it. This is because there is an
arbitrage in exporting goods from the country that has a low price to a country that has a high price.
In the long term, prices "when converted into the same currency at market exchange rates", should
be equal "across economically integrated countries". (Voinea: 2013, p.6)
There are two ways to measure PPP. The first one is Absolute PPP (APPP) which states that the
exchange rate between two countries should be equal to the price of a basket of items in two
countries due to arbitrage, i.e. ∑▒p_i=E∑▒p_i^* , where E is the exchange rate. The second
measure is Relative PPP (RPPP)

Ikea Strategic Analysis
IKEA is the world's largest furniture retailer of 'knock down' furniture with 300 stores in more than
35 countries. It was founded by Ingvar Kamprad of southern Sweden whose main innovative idea
was 'to offer home furnishing products of good function and design at prices much lower than
competitors by using simple cost–cutting solutions that did not affect quality of products so that as
many people as possible will be able to afford them. ( www.ikea.com). He used every opportunity to
reduce costs without compromising on ideas and quality.
IKEA used design, their main competency, to secure the lowest possible price by starting design
with a functional need and price then using knowledge of innovation and low cost manufacturing ...

A focused cost leadership strategy according to Ireland et al (2006) is 'an action plan the firm
develops to produce goods and services for a narrow market segment at the lowest cost'. IKEA
focuses on applying the techniques needed to achieve this cost leadership such as bulk buying,
economical sources of supplies, low–cost logistics and store location while at the same time
concentrating on understanding and satisfying the needs.
Although it is a cost leader, IKEA also offers some differentiated features that appeal to its target
customers, including its unique furniture designs, in–store playrooms for children, wheelchairs for
customer use, free buggies, reasonably priced restaurants and cafes and extended hours making
shopping at IKEA an experience. Thus, IKEA focused cost leadership strategy also includes some
differentiated features with its low–cost products thereby making it a hybrid strategy. (Hitt et al,
2009: 121).
Part of keeping costs down IKEA strategically located its global distribution retailing network near
container ports and major truck and rail routes. In most instances, they own the large stores but in
order to be flexible and adaptable to penetrate new markets they also facilitate franchises where
there are risks to entry due to unfamiliarity or hostility to the IKEA concept. Their stores have been
described as 'theme parks masquerading as a furniture outlet' (Margonelli, 2002: 112)

A Brief Note On Sweden And Finland And Sweden
Most developed countries have suffered through at least one financial crisis. The term financial
crisis is in itself very broad and applies to a various number of situations in which financial
institutions or financial assets rapidly decrease in value. In the late 1980's and early 1990's, the
Scandinavian countries – along with Finland – all faced rather serious financial crises, but the
outcomes differed vastly among the nations as Denmark and Sweden pushed through to fairly
satisfactory results, but Norway and Finland suffered greater complications. No nation's crisis was
identical to another's and perhaps thereof the different outcomes, but what other factors played a role
in deciding a nation's fate. To better compare and analyze, the focus of this paper will be placed on
simply two of the nations involved – Sweden and Finland –, two nations bordering each other, with
a great many similarities but two very different outcomes from respective crisis and how they
handled their respective issues, and what can be used for future reference.
American economist Richard G. Anderson (2009) has previously touched – briefly – on some of the
similarities among the Scandinavian nations' crises, specifically referring to a common two–stage
sequence in each of the countries. The two–stage sequence, as Anderson explains, included "rapidly
increasing economic growth accompanied by financial liberalization along with the introduction of
new financial instruments, followed by sharp

The Scandinavian Banking Crisis Of 1990
The Scandinavian Banking Crisis of 1990 – Focus Sweden
This essay was done by William Segrave, and Muhidul Hussain only.
The majority of banking crises in last 30 years have been caused be deregulation of the banking
industry followed by rapid unstable credit expansion leading to a unsustainable asset pricing
bubbles. Scandinavian Banking Crisis was not exception. When the bubble bursts, the effects can
ripple through the entire economy, and can cause massive disruption and loss in confidence.
By 1985 Sweden was experiencing higher inflation rates that many other similar countries, caused
by high interest rates and volatile currency. Due to high inflation and a real after tax interest rates
were low or even negative. It is only following the banking crash that Swedish households faced
positive borrowing costs for the first time in 30 years. The Swedish economy managed to have
negative interest rates for so long due to the banking regulations, which were soon the be lifted.
Sweden had a regulated banking sector. Banks, insurance companies, and other institutions were
subjected to lending ceilings, and placement requirements (liquidity ratios) required them to invest
in bonds issued by the government and by mortgage institutions. Large budget deficits and an
ambitious programme for residential investment led to a situation where banks were required to hold
more than 50 per cent of their assets in such bonds, typically with long maturities and with interest
rates being

Swapping Currencies In The Forex Market
In the world of Forex, swapping currencies is the name of the game. Foreign Exchange trading, also
known as Forex or currency trading, refers to the world's largest financial market upon which one
currency is traded with another for profits. The top ten most traded currencies in the Forex market
include USD, Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar,
Swedish Krona, Hong Kong, Dollar and Norwegian Krona. The prices of these currencies fluctuate
on the basis of its supply and demand. Other factors such as interest rates and the country's financial
and political state can also affect the worth of the currency. The participants of the Forex market are
very diverse ranging from multinational corporations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now remember how in point 1 it was mentioned that the best time to trade is when the market is at
its busiest? Here is why– This peak time is when the liquidation is at its highest. This is when the
most exchanges happen, which means more opportunities and good deals. This is also when the
market's volatility (currency's price fluctuations) is at its lowest. So it is easier to make a profit in
short amount of time by making a spot trade when the currency's price is good. On the other hand,
when the liquidity is at its lowest, the trades become very slow and the fluctuations of prices happen
slowly. It is also important to mention that the price changes are drastic. Hence, it is very easy to
lose money during this time. 3. Leverage– In layman's terms, this feature allows the trader to trade
more money than the amount present in trader's account. This gives the trader a chance at getting
hands on huge profits by investing a small amount. In most cases, the trader gets to choose their own
leverage. Leverage is a ratio. Let's say that you have $500 to invest in your account and that you are
entering into a trade with a leverage ratio of 50:1. This means that for every $1 you can trade for up
to $50. Now for as little as $500, leverage gives you the power to trade up to $25000. 4. Low
Capital– This feature is what makes Forex attractive to so many working class individuals. It allows
you to start trading with as little as $100 in the account. 5.

Should College Athletes Be Paid?
Student athletes commonly go to school for one reason: their love for the sport they participate in.
These student athletes get scholarships from large Division 1 schools, which means things such as
schooling, board, and food will be paid for by the school so the student athletes do not have to pay
for these benefits themselves (Patterson). If college athletes are to be paid, it will cause unfair
compensation between players who are valued or played more than others. When student athletes
are rewarded with a scholarship, they have nothing school related that they would need to pay for.
This can lead them to blow all of their income on unnecessary or dangerous things such as drugs and
alcohol which could get them removed from the team they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

"The NCAA is a private, non profit association consisting of over 1000 members" (Goldman). The
NCAA was founded in 1906 and is a large association representing bigger schools and universities
("What's the Difference..."). NCAA schools are organized into three divisions, D1, D2, and D3
("What's the Difference..."). Division 1 schools are typically the largest, division 2 schools are
smaller than D1 schools, and division 3 schools are the smallest of the NCAA institutions ("What's
the Difference..."). You cannot pay the more talented players on the team more money. This will
cause strikes amongst the other teams and other very valuable players. If certain players are paid
differently, it can also potentially change the athletes' attitudes. When you pay one athlete more
money than another athlete, the higher paid athlete becomes more of an individual and less of a team
member. However, individualizing team members is not the purpose of any team sport. Paying more
talented players more money will teach that player bad habits with their teammates and could
eventually lead the player to think they are superior to their team. The only factor that could really
determine different pay between athletes would be the different divisions of the NCAA: Division 1,
Division 2, and Division 3. One might think that a Division 1 school would pay their student
athletes more than a Division 2 or 3 school because it is a larger school. This leads to

Case Study Of Possum Products
With the growth in demand for exotic foods, Possum Products's CEO Michael Munger is
considering expanding the geographic footprint of its line of dried and smoked low–fat opossum,
ostrich, and venison jerky snack packs. However, Kevin Uram, the CFO, is concerned about thow
an internal expansion and the additional risk that entails will affect the firm's financial management
process. In this case study, the concepts discussed include reasons for global expansions, the major
factors that differentiates the financial management practices of multinational corporations from
purely domestic firms, exchange rates and convertibility of currencies, international monetary
systems, and international capital markets. Also, the differences in the average capital structure
across different countries, the problems faced by nultinational firms in capital budgeting, and the
factors that need to be considered in multinational working capital management are discussed.
Analysis
Historically, jerky products have performance well in the southern United States, but there are
indications of a growing demand for these unusual delicacies in Europe. Munger recognizes that the
expansion carries some risks such as possible low acceptance by the Europeans, so the expansion
will proceed in stages. First, setting up sales subsidiaries in ... Show more content on

What is exchange rate risk? An exchange rate risk refers to exchange rate fluctuations which can
affect a firm's profits and trade. For example, the euro exchange rate was $0.87 in 2002 but risen to
$1.28 in 2012, so the cost in dollars increased by 47.1% over the 10 year period. This increase hurts
the export of European products to the United States (Brigham & Ehrhardt, 2014). Also, the
volatility of exchange rates incrases the uncertainty of the cash flows for a MNC. Because the cash
flows are denominated in many different currencies, the dollar equivalent value of the company's
consoilidated cash flows also functuates (Brigham & Ehrhardt,

The Consumer Price Index ( Cpi ) Essay
Chapter 7 and 8 from "A Guide to Everyday Economic Statistics" explains the value of prices,
money, and interest rates alongside the value of stock prices and international trade. As a result, we
will be able to grasp the concept of how the Consumer Price Index (CPI), how to use an estimate the
inflation from the CPI, Producer Price Index (PPI), prime rate and how to measure the Dow Jones
Industrial Average (DJIA) and international value of the dollar in the stock market.
Introduction
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) of the U.S. Department of releases the statistics of every part
of that consist of prices, money and interest rates. The BLS produces a cost or living index on a
monthly bases with the understanding of what CPI would produce. Therefore, BLS publicizes the
measure the change between the producer and the first producer of the purchaser by the PPI.
Although, BLS release statistic on CPI and PPI, DJIA measure the stock market performances. The
international value of the dollar referred to the issue of purchase power in terms of other currencies.
Application
Consumer Price Index. A measure used for estimation of price changes in the market basket of
goods and services representative of consumption expenditure, CPI is not part of the cost–of–living
index, however, it is based on prices of food, clothing, shelter, fuels, transportation fares, charges for
services, drugs, and other goods and services that people buy for day–to–day living. Consumer Price

Fear : The Way I See Fear
Batuhan Kir
Ms. Evans
Honors English II

What is Fear?
The way I see fear is that many people try to run away from it instead of challenging it. Fear makes
people run away from ideas, actions, or even goals. Everyone experiences fear whether they are
elementary students, college students, or parents. People could fear having to speak in a crowd of
others or fear a single human being. Since fear can't fully be defined by a simple sentence, I have
decided to define this short but complex word by studying its origins, discussing what fear is not,
and giving examples and indications about fear. Furthermore, I will show how the word fear is
represented in Night and The Sunflower.
(Origin and Causes)
The word fear ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In traumatic events people tend to freeze up or try hiding. It causes to have a rapid heart rate,
increases our blood pressure, and increases sweating. We develop fear as an outcome of learning.
Due to this we have many events in history that demonstrate why we people fear. Can you forget the
Africans who were forced to come to the Americas? Didn't they fear the people who were treating
them like they had no value? How about the Jews? The Jewish people feared getting captured and
killed for their beliefs by the Nazis. In the book Night, we can see that the Jews clearly feared death
and did anything in their power to survive. Elie even had thoughts to take his father's rations at point
so he could live longer although his father was the main reason why he was trying to survive. In the
book Night the narrator states "I thought deep down, not daring to admit it to myself. Too late to
save your old father ... You could have two rations of bread, two rations of soup." (Wiesel 111). This
shows that Elie feared death so much that he forgot what kept him alive in the first place.
(Examples and Incidents) Additionally, in today's society we can see people fear religion. There are
some people in the U.S that are Islamophobic which means they fear a whole religion. The people
who fear the whole religion itself are ignorant. They believe that what ISIS is doing is what the
religion asks for, when what they are doing is completely

Product Features Of The Home Appliance Industry
2. Durable Household industry overview The home appliance industry is a multi–billion dollar
industry which includes the Major Appliances (refrigerators, cookers, dishwashers, washing

products (air conditioners, water heaters). Home appliances industry competes on the basis of: 
Cost structure that impacts the ability to compete on price.  Product features that can provide a
competitive advantage, through innovation &  Brand names recognition as a strong basis in the
consumer–driven appliance market. Kahn (2015) states that over the last five years the Industry
revenue increased 5.5%, reaching $191.3 billion in 2015, expecting an annualized 3.8% grow over
the next five years, representing industry revenue of $230.3 billion in 2020. As it is illustrated in
figure 1, the industry consists in five major players that account for about 39% of industry market
share in a low level of concentration industry that varies between market segment and by region,
experiencing consolidation mainly due to company efforts to build economies of scale and scope,
with significant merger activity (Kahn 2015). To increase profit margins, home appliance
manufacturers are aiming to build sales volume especially in emerging markets, increasing
productivity and moving production to regions with lower–cost labour; and/or through the
acquisitions of local companies. 3. Companies background Knowing the

Their carbon taxes is one of the highest in the world, but this allows them to have more reduce other

anyone who buys a "green" car. In Ontario, there is a cap and trade system implemented by Kathleen
Wynne but it is very ineffective in helping the economy grow compared to Sweden growth as an
economy due to a carbon tax. Ontario should adapt Sweden's idea of carbon taxes as it will grow the

The Pros And Cons Of The Swedish Healthcare System
There are a few positive externalizes from the Swedish healthcare system. First, there are set limits
on how much an individual will spend before the government will pay for all the fees (David
Hogberg). This helps people when they have lots of medical expenses. For example 200 kronas,
about $24, is the most patients will pay annually for prescription drugs (David Hogberg). The
system is set up so that the central government controls the laws and regulation which makes the
distribution of heath care fair. In addition private practice is heavily regulated (Swedish Institute).
The regulation helps to ensure that the care for citizens who get private or public care receive
similar care. Another benefit of the health care system is that there is no direct charge to patients
under 20 years of age when they go to receive dental care (David Hogberg). ... Show more content

The biggest problem that Sweden encounters is the long waiting lists (David Hogberg). The long
lists restrict people from seeing doctors in a timely manner. People who have private insurance can
skip the waiting lists (David Hogberg). "Swedes who do not have private insurance must wait, often
for months, for treatment" (David Hogberg). Equal access to all restricts an individual's access
because there is only some many resources available at any time. The wait lists create problems for
the citizens. According to a study the long wait times have "increased anxiety and depression"
amongst patients (David Hogberg). In another study respondents indicated that because of the long
waits they have "a deep sense of lost dignity, powerlessness and frustration" (R.N Mats Sjöling).

The Global Pursuit Of Economic Development Since The End...
In Global Political Economy, Chapter 11 discusses "the global pursuit of economic development
since the end of the Second World War" (219). In a nutshell, this analysis involves the account and
summary of some of the information that has been previously presented in earlier chapters of this
book. Mainly, the process of industrialization in Great Britain as well as the United States is noted in
the introduction to the chapter.
Afterwards, the authors proceed to define the term 'development' using quotes and statements from a
few other authors. But, the central idea of development, no matter how the definition may be
worded, takes into account the themes of process and condition, or the change of condition. In
addition, when regarding the immediate era after the war, development relied on economic growth
of a country measured by its Gross National Product (GNP) (221). The Gross National Product,
according to Encyclopedia Britannica, is the "total market value of the final goods and services
produced by a nation's economy during a specific period of time (usually a year), computed before
allowance is made for the depreciation or consumption of capital used in the process of production"
(Encyclopedia Britannica).
The timeline of development for countries worldwide after WWII is then clarified. Many nations
were considered 'underdeveloped', 'backward', or most commonly 'Third World'. Eventually,
countries in the southern hemisphere became known as "the Global South", identifying

customers who have a demand for their product. The typical Scandinavian diet is usually high in fat

Currently there are no major issues, politically, legally, economically or culturally, that send up red

they are ranked high for lack of corruption. The country's next elections will be September 2014 and
there are no notes for cause of alarm due to political unrest. The legal system is impartial and has

International Financial Reporting Standards
Abercrombie & Fitch uses generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as the basis for the
production of its financial statements. In contrast, Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) uses international
financial report standards (IFRS). H&M also utilizes Swedish GAAP. For its annual report, there is
no indication of what standard is used, and there are no official financial statements. H&M does not
note what auditing standards it uses in its annual report. By contrast, the ANF Form 10–K notes that
the company's auditors use the Internal Control Integrated Framework as laid out by the Committee
of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO), as noted on page 100 of the
2011 Annual Report.
There are significant differences between the annual reports presented on the websites. On a
fundamental level, the Abercrombie report consists of the 10–K. This is a formal document with
consistent formatting as prescribed by the Securities and Exchange Commission. There is a
substantial amount of information contained within this report. The H&M report is the exact
opposite. It is an informal report, oriented towards visuals, and does not appear to have a consistent
format for financial statements. Ostensibly, the company uses IFRS for the compilation of
statements, but those statements do not make their way into the report that the company publishes
online. If the company publishes a formal accounting statements, it does not have those readily

The History Of GDP Growth Sweden
Economist's Explanation
The article begins with outlining the record of GDP growth Sweden since 2009 and speaks to how
Sweden's current monetary stimulus contrasts with what would typically be expected during a
period of sustained and increasing GDP growth. Typically, following a period of successful loose
policy to stimulate the economy, the central bank would move to increase interest rates and decrease
the money supply, such that money growth is equivalent to GDP growth (in the Classical view) and
inflation rises in a relatively controlled fashion. Increasing interest rates would discourage
borrowing and spending while also encouraging increased saving. Increased rates might also serve
to divert funds out of equity markets and into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Fed is currently concluding its period of quantitative easing and increasing interest rates thereby
potentially tightening the money supply as borrowing and spending will decrease while savings and
the rate of inflation increases.
The ECB continues its monetary stimulus through quantitative easing buying long–term bonds to
flood the economy with money in the hopes of increasing inflation to the ECB target of just shy of
2% (currently at 1.73% according to the ECB). The article notes the impact that foreign investment
can have on the exchange rate by discussing the Swiss Franc becoming overvalued, in part due to
the drop in oil prices coupled with a failing Russian economy (Revill). This has caused the currency
to appreciate forcing the SNB to take action against the rising exchange rate using quantitative
easing to reduce the "upward pressure on the Swiss Franc".
The article also addresses the core reasons why the Riksbank is hesitant to reduce its monetary
stimulus. Swedish economists are acting conservatively with many believing that the increase in
inflation is due increased energy prices and airfares rather than the Riksbank's monetary stimulus.
They believe the rate of inflation would decrease should there be any changes in energy prices or
airfares. Ideally, the rate of inflation would remain from significantly fluctuating due to changes in
economic sectors and

Case Study : Tivoli Casino Expanded Operations With New...
Blog 7 – Tivoli Casino expanded operations with new currency setup
If you really want to become one of the online casino big boys, you need to appeal to a broad
audience. A trap that many online casinos in the past fell into was opting for localisation when it
came to both operations and currency offering. This way of thinking saw many online casinos fall
by the wayside, as the major names adopted an intercontinental approach to operations. One online
casino that is attempting to branch out in such area is Tivoli Casino, who has announced plans to
add GBP, NOK, and SEK to their available currency selection.
The move from Tivoli Casino is an interesting one and in many ways represents the company's
ambition to become one of the world's biggest online casinos. Currently they offer just Euro as a
currency option, but that is set to change with the arrival of the Swedish Krona, Norwegian Krone,
and most importantly the British Pound. When all is said and done many industry analysts see Tivoli
Casino having a far greater appeal in Europe as a result.
Financial Simplicity
What Tivoli Casino is known for is fun, but it is what is taking place behind the scenes that has
allowed this to be the case. For a long time it seemed that Tivoli Casino was comfortable playing it
safe when it comes to currency options. Euro is considered a common currency foundation, but
while it does cater for a large audience it does tend to exclude some fairly large online casino
markets. The UK

The Heart-warming Tale of Girls and Boys Town
Girls & Boys Town is different!
The story of Girls and Boys Town is one of the most heart–warming tales of human effort of the
20th Century. It is a tale of faith, courage and sympathy – one that enchanted the imagination of the
world and changed the way South Africa cares for challenged youth.
Founded by the late Bishop Reginald Orsmond in 1958 and based on the principles of Father
Flanagan's famous Girls & Boys Town in Nebraska, USA, Girls & Boys Town has granted
thousands of children of all races, genders, faith and languages a new beginning.
Most of them arrive here with broken dreams, sick at heart and in body too. Some have been
physically or sexually abused, forgotten or abandoned. Some come from broken homes, do badly at
school, have discipline issues, and lack social skills.
What makes them different ?
Girls and Boys Town is under the guidance of adults, the kids actually govern themselves, electing
their Mayor, Councillors and Managers who make the rules and see that they are kept. This
capitalises on the teenage desire to be admired and respected by their peers.
Our eight registered Children's Homes – four large Youth Development Centres and four community
'family' homes – offer residential care to children whose own families cannot cope and who don't do
well in foster care.

Football Programs Should Have Athletic Scholarships
In my opinion, all football programs should have Athletic scholarships regardless of division. They
all are considered NCAA athletes and all abide by the same rules and regulations. Football is one of
America's favorite pass times and through this sport many athletes have been able to attend Colleges
and Universities, all over The United States, for free. Although there are currently 72,788 National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Football players, only the few that have the opportunity to
play Division 1 football are eligible to receive these full athletic scholarships also known as "full

thousands of student–athletes the opportunity to compete at a high level of scholarship athletics.
Some Division 2 schools also give their athletes full scholarships but these cases are rare, instead,
they give partial athletic scholarships to help lighten the load. Athletes that play Division 3 football
are often seen as playing "For the love of the game" or "Love of completion" and receive no sort of
athletic scholarship for playing a college sport. Players that decide to take the Junior College or

The Pros And Cons Of Gold Rates
Commodities:
Putting aside a specified sum of money and expecting some kind of return out of it within a certain
time period is what financial investment is all about. Various types of financial investments are
mutual funds, fixed deposits, bonds, stock equities, real estate, gold/silver and precious stones.
Interests in stocks, gold and oil contracts are dependably thought to be the best wellspring of interest
in developing economies. Speculators of Pakistan are differentiating their speculation into gold, on
the grounds that such speculations regularly have had a converse association with stock exchange

numerous reasons behind that but since of old customs and traditions gold is vital in this part of the

Answer 1: The Rehn–Meidner model was developed by the Swedish trade union confederation
(Landsorganisitionen i Sverige) economists Gösta Rehn and Rudolf Meidner and presented during a
LO congress in 1951. It is based on an active labor market policy, a solidarity wage policy and a
restrictive macroeconomic policy which combined should lead to a full employment, fair wages,

In the recent years Sweden participates in any mission alongside NATO states on a NATO mission.
It began with the mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1995 and continued with the ISAF mission

Sweden now shares the responsibility for the safety of the EU countries as it signed the solidarity

problematic situation in Europe it is possible Sweden has to react in order of solidarity and alliance.
Often Sweden's foreign policy is described as non–alignment as they are not a member of the NATO

self–image of Sweden is still dominated by the history of neutrality a public debate of a NATO

(Masculine) and partly on the other (Feminine). It is evident that the 'Masculine' gender is more
dominant in our society and because of this; there is more expectation and responsibility for the
masculine gender. However, there is a continual inclusion trend in which we are witnessing the
feminine gender assume some roles of the masculine gender. But overall, the masculine effect is still
dominant. I personally feel that there should be a good balance of work and family responsibility by
the men. It is necessary that the 'Men' are mostly responsible for taking the role of the breadwinner
of the family therefore, the working hours of the men would have to be met as required by the
employer. For example, working 40 hours a week is the minimum in the US but varies in some other
places. In a case whereby the man has to take an overtime shift just to meet the needs of the family.
The core responsibility of a family depends on both the man and the woman. This also varies
depending on the family. In my opinion, I would expect both genders o take equal responsibility.
The feminine gender is mostly associated with the child care activities and the house chores while
the Masculine gender is associated with the providing for the family and helping the feminine
gender. In as much as there will be

How Theu.s Dollar Became The World's Most Dominant Reserve...
The objective of this paper is to give a clearer picture to how the U.S dollar became the world 's
most dominant reserve currency . Several countries use it as their official currency, and many others
use it as the de facto currency . Moreover, American dollar is the primary reserve currency, which is
used as the standard unit in international market for commodities such as gold and petroleum.
However, the dollar has been declining over the last three decades; in fact it has lost almost half its
value against other major currencies. The purpose of this research is to bring clarity for the
following questions: How, when and why the dollar became the world's reserve currency? Benefits
of having the largest world reserve currency? Comparing the dollar with the pound and the up and
rising Chinese Renminbi (RMB), and predictions for the future.
Keywords: Currency fluctuation; Reserve Currency; International Market; Global Reach
I. Introduction
We use the term "reserve currency" when we mean other countries ' use of dollars in international
trade. If Sweden, for example, buys goods from China, the goods can be paid with American dollars
instead of Swedish Krona. The methodological approach to address how, when and why the dollar
became the world's reserve currency will be supported by a historical and statistical analysis. With a
better understanding on how the U.S dollar become the most powerful currency we can advance to
understand the cost and benefits of it.

  • 6. Government Intervention, Real Gdp, And National Debt From... Sweden: The Ultimate "Elsewhere" John Malkovich once, jokingly, stated that "utopia means elsewhere". Sandwiched in between Norway and Finland is that idealized "elsewhere", Sweden, with a strong government and thriving economy. It is not only solidly constructed but stunning to look at, with beautiful plant life and architecture to match. Sweden is sparsely populated with roughly 9.6 million people living comparatively good lives (with low crime rates, 18 month long parental leaves, and a high standard of living). It is famous for its neutral foreign policy and high taxes. In short, Sweden is the ideal... if not to live in then definitely to visit at least once. In this paper I will analyze Sweden, examining factors of supply and demand, government intervention, real GDP, and national debt from an economic perspective. The first factor that I will evaluate is how the Swedish power market has seen a rightward shift in its supply curve over the last forty years. The Oil Crisis of the 1970s – sparked extensive research into alternative energy sources that would result in a 53.5 percent decrease in oil dependency between 1970 and 2012 (Energy Use in Sweden). This transition from a finite resource to its renewable counterpart opened the market for competition in Sweden and, combined with the inelastic demand for power in a modern nation, increased the quantity available to consumers and decreased the price. As of right now, "green" energy cannot be exported very far because it is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Case Study Of Swedish Krona Environmental Awareness Another important factor is that Swedish people are used to take care of the air inside their houses but now when they are aware of the environmental concerns and its consequences in terms of pollution and health it represent a very good opportunity for GIOEL. Developed Direct Selling Market So in Sweden there's a large but decreasing (in terms of turnover) direct selling amount with an increasing share of the person–to–person selling. If the trends will be confirmed in the future years, the person–to–person will stabilize its position of principal way of direct selling market. So the decreasing trend caused by e–commerce won't affect so badly GIOEL. The most important fact is that Swedish consumers seems to rely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Krona Currency Fluctuations According to the data provided by the European Central Bank, since 2011, Swedish Krona has experienced fluctuations and it is not so stable until the beginning of 2013. Starting from this date we see a clear trend of Swedish Krona depreciation which indicates a decrease of purchasing power of the currency. If Swedish Krona continues to depreciate it could be difficult for GIOEL to compete in the Swedish market with local producers that have lower prices and the economic exposure also could be high. Predominance of e–commerce The unitary price for vacuum cleaners Is decreased in 2014 due mainly to the growing consumer preference for basic function and economy models. At the same time we see an increase of stores and e–commerce retailers. Since the Swedish economy in 2014 was not so thriving, consumers have started to make shopping on discount. This fact has had obviously absorb even vacuum cleaner purchases. In fact, all vacuum cleaners recorded a decrease on retail volume sales, with the only exception for robotic vacuum cleaners. There are many influences to consider when deciding which country to invest in, this essay will consider the cultural, economic, political, and industrial relation factors a Chinese steel factory must consider in deciding whether to open a new production facility in Britain or Sweden. (Hayter, 2011)Indeed workers have had very few rights, although China in response to adverse publicity have introduced some minimum labour laws (Hollingshead, 2010) The Scandinavian approach embraced by Sweden is strongly Pluralist (Hollingshead, 2010) which guarantees freedom of association and is backed by the Swedish constitution. Additionally collective bargaining agreements play a major role in the employment relationship, with trade unions enjoying a very strong voice in Sweden (Xpert HR, 2014). In comparison to the UK, Sweden takes its workers' rights very seriously and many employee benefits are legally enforceable, this along with laws protecting the rights of trade union members provide significant security and benefits for workers (Work.Sweden.Se, 2014). Additionally Sweden has extremely centralised and organised trade Union organisations with a particularly high level of union density, its highly egalitarian society having low levels of economic inequality but with high levels of state expenditure. (Upchurch et al, 2009). Mutual respect is the norm between trade unions and employers and with close links with political parties, however rigid labour laws can inhibit Foreign Investment. • 18. The Theory Of Purchasing Power Parity David Ricardo came up with the theory of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). PPP is an economic technique used to estimate the level of adjustment needed to arrive at an agreed exchange rate between two currencies in order that trade can effectively take place. When the price of two commodities from two different countries is converted into one currency, the price of both commodities should be the same. One way of determining the inter–currency exchange rates is to carry out a PPP test. This test will also help to prevent commodity traders from buying cheaply and selling at significantly higher rates. The basic measure of PPP is the law of one price: Pi=EiP*i, where Ei is the exchange rate, Pi = log (CPI of the domestic country), and P*i= log (CPI of the foreign country). The equation means that the good i should have same price when the exchange rate is applied to it. This is because there is an arbitrage in exporting goods from the country that has a low price to a country that has a high price. In the long term, prices "when converted into the same currency at market exchange rates", should be equal "across economically integrated countries". (Voinea: 2013, p.6) There are two ways to measure PPP. The first one is Absolute PPP (APPP) which states that the exchange rate between two countries should be equal to the price of a basket of items in two countries due to arbitrage, i.e. ∑▒p_i=E∑▒p_i^* , where E is the exchange rate. The second measure is Relative PPP (RPPP) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was founded by Ingvar Kamprad of southern Sweden whose main innovative idea was 'to offer home furnishing products of good function and design at prices much lower than competitors by using simple cost–cutting solutions that did not affect quality of products so that as many people as possible will be able to afford them. ( www.ikea.com). He used every opportunity to reduce costs without compromising on ideas and quality. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A focused cost leadership strategy according to Ireland et al (2006) is 'an action plan the firm develops to produce goods and services for a narrow market segment at the lowest cost'. IKEA focuses on applying the techniques needed to achieve this cost leadership such as bulk buying, economical sources of supplies, low–cost logistics and store location while at the same time concentrating on understanding and satisfying the needs. Although it is a cost leader, IKEA also offers some differentiated features that appeal to its target customers, including its unique furniture designs, in–store playrooms for children, wheelchairs for customer use, free buggies, reasonably priced restaurants and cafes and extended hours making shopping at IKEA an experience. Thus, IKEA focused cost leadership strategy also includes some differentiated features with its low–cost products thereby making it a hybrid strategy. (Hitt et al, 2009: 121). Part of keeping costs down IKEA strategically located its global distribution retailing network near container ports and major truck and rail routes. In most instances, they own the large stores but in order to be flexible and adaptable to penetrate new markets they also facilitate franchises where there are risks to entry due to unfamiliarity or hostility to the IKEA concept. • 26. A Brief Note On Sweden And Finland And Sweden Most developed countries have suffered through at least one financial crisis. The term financial crisis is in itself very broad and applies to a various number of situations in which financial institutions or financial assets rapidly decrease in value. In the late 1980's and early 1990's, the Scandinavian countries – along with Finland – all faced rather serious financial crises, but the outcomes differed vastly among the nations as Denmark and Sweden pushed through to fairly satisfactory results, but Norway and Finland suffered greater complications. No nation's crisis was identical to another's and perhaps thereof the different outcomes, but what other factors played a role in deciding a nation's fate. To better compare and analyze, the focus of this paper will be placed on simply two of the nations involved – Sweden and Finland –, two nations bordering each other, with a great many similarities but two very different outcomes from respective crisis and how they handled their respective issues, and what can be used for future reference. American economist Richard G. Anderson (2009) has previously touched – briefly – on some of the similarities among the Scandinavian nations' crises, specifically referring to a common two–stage sequence in each of the countries. The two–stage sequence, as Anderson explains, included "rapidly increasing economic growth accompanied by financial liberalization along with the introduction of new financial instruments, followed by sharp ... The majority of banking crises in last 30 years have been caused be deregulation of the banking industry followed by rapid unstable credit expansion leading to a unsustainable asset pricing bubbles. Scandinavian Banking Crisis was not exception. When the bubble bursts, the effects can ripple through the entire economy, and can cause massive disruption and loss in confidence. By 1985 Sweden was experiencing higher inflation rates that many other similar countries, caused by high interest rates and volatile currency. Due to high inflation and a real after tax interest rates were low or even negative. It is only following the banking crash that Swedish households faced positive borrowing costs for the first time in 30 years. The Swedish economy managed to have negative interest rates for so long due to the banking regulations, which were soon the be lifted. Sweden had a regulated banking sector. Banks, insurance companies, and other institutions were subjected to lending ceilings, and placement requirements (liquidity ratios) required them to invest in bonds issued by the government and by mortgage institutions. Large budget deficits and an ambitious programme for residential investment led to a situation where banks were required to hold more than 50 per cent of their assets in such bonds, typically with long maturities and with interest rates being ... The top ten most traded currencies in the Forex market include USD, Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Swedish Krona, Hong Kong, Dollar and Norwegian Krona. The prices of these currencies fluctuate on the basis of its supply and demand. Other factors such as interest rates and the country's financial and political state can also affect the worth of the currency. The participants of the Forex market are very diverse ranging from multinational corporations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now remember how in point 1 it was mentioned that the best time to trade is when the market is at its busiest? Here is why– This peak time is when the liquidation is at its highest. This is when the most exchanges happen, which means more opportunities and good deals. This is also when the market's volatility (currency's price fluctuations) is at its lowest. So it is easier to make a profit in short amount of time by making a spot trade when the currency's price is good. On the other hand, when the liquidity is at its lowest, the trades become very slow and the fluctuations of prices happen slowly. It is also important to mention that the price changes are drastic. Hence, it is very easy to lose money during this time. 3. Leverage– In layman's terms, this feature allows the trader to trade more money than the amount present in trader's account. This gives the trader a chance at getting hands on huge profits by investing a small amount. In most cases, the trader gets to choose their own leverage. Leverage is a ratio. Let's say that you have $500 to invest in your account and that you are entering into a trade with a leverage ratio of 50:1. This means that for every $1 you can trade for up to $50. Now for as little as $500, leverage gives you the power to trade up to $25000. 4. Low Capital– This feature is what makes Forex attractive to so many working class individuals. It allows you to start trading with as little as $100 in the account. 5. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. Should College Athletes Be Paid? Student athletes commonly go to school for one reason: their love for the sport they participate in. These student athletes get scholarships from large Division 1 schools, which means things such as schooling, board, and food will be paid for by the school so the student athletes do not have to pay for these benefits themselves (Patterson). If college athletes are to be paid, it will cause unfair compensation between players who are valued or played more than others. When student athletes are rewarded with a scholarship, they have nothing school related that they would need to pay for. This can lead them to blow all of their income on unnecessary or dangerous things such as drugs and alcohol which could get them removed from the team they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "The NCAA is a private, non profit association consisting of over 1000 members" (Goldman). The NCAA was founded in 1906 and is a large association representing bigger schools and universities ("What's the Difference..."). NCAA schools are organized into three divisions, D1, D2, and D3 ("What's the Difference..."). Division 1 schools are typically the largest, division 2 schools are smaller than D1 schools, and division 3 schools are the smallest of the NCAA institutions ("What's the Difference..."). You cannot pay the more talented players on the team more money. This will cause strikes amongst the other teams and other very valuable players. If certain players are paid differently, it can also potentially change the athletes' attitudes. When you pay one athlete more money than another athlete, the higher paid athlete becomes more of an individual and less of a team member. However, individualizing team members is not the purpose of any team sport. Paying more talented players more money will teach that player bad habits with their teammates and could eventually lead the player to think they are superior to their team. The only factor that could really determine different pay between athletes would be the different divisions of the NCAA: Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3. One might think that a Division 1 school would pay their student athletes more than a Division 2 or 3 school because it is a larger school. This leads to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Case Study Of Possum Products With the growth in demand for exotic foods, Possum Products's CEO Michael Munger is considering expanding the geographic footprint of its line of dried and smoked low–fat opossum, ostrich, and venison jerky snack packs. However, Kevin Uram, the CFO, is concerned about thow an internal expansion and the additional risk that entails will affect the firm's financial management process. In this case study, the concepts discussed include reasons for global expansions, the major factors that differentiates the financial management practices of multinational corporations from purely domestic firms, exchange rates and convertibility of currencies, international monetary systems, and international capital markets. Also, the differences in the average capital structure across different countries, the problems faced by nultinational firms in capital budgeting, and the factors that need to be considered in multinational working capital management are discussed. Analysis Historically, jerky products have performance well in the southern United States, but there are indications of a growing demand for these unusual delicacies in Europe. Munger recognizes that the expansion carries some risks such as possible low acceptance by the Europeans, so the expansion will proceed in stages. First, setting up sales subsidiaries in ... For example, the euro exchange rate was $0.87 in 2002 but risen to $1.28 in 2012, so the cost in dollars increased by 47.1% over the 10 year period. This increase hurts the export of European products to the United States (Brigham & Ehrhardt, 2014). Also, the volatility of exchange rates incrases the uncertainty of the cash flows for a MNC. • 54. Fear : The Way I See Fear Batuhan Kir Ms. Evans Honors English II December 14, 2015 What is Fear? The way I see fear is that many people try to run away from it instead of challenging it. Fear makes people run away from ideas, actions, or even goals. Everyone experiences fear whether they are elementary students, college students, or parents. People could fear having to speak in a crowd of others or fear a single human being. Since fear can't fully be defined by a simple sentence, I have decided to define this short but complex word by studying its origins, discussing what fear is not, and giving examples and indications about fear. Furthermore, I will show how the word fear is represented in Night and The Sunflower. (Origin and Causes) The word fear ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In traumatic events people tend to freeze up or try hiding. It causes to have a rapid heart rate, increases our blood pressure, and increases sweating. We develop fear as an outcome of learning. Due to this we have many events in history that demonstrate why we people fear. Can you forget the Africans who were forced to come to the Americas? Didn't they fear the people who were treating them like they had no value? How about the Jews? The Jewish people feared getting captured and killed for their beliefs by the Nazis. In the book Night, we can see that the Jews clearly feared death and did anything in their power to survive. Elie even had thoughts to take his father's rations at point so he could live longer although his father was the main reason why he was trying to survive. In the book Night the narrator states "I thought deep down, not daring to admit it to myself. Too late to save your old father ... You could have two rations of bread, two rations of soup." (Wiesel 111). This shows that Elie feared death so much that he forgot what kept him alive in the first place. (Examples and Incidents) Additionally, in today's society we can see people fear religion. There are some people in the U.S that are Islamophobic which means they fear a whole religion. The people who fear the whole religion itself are ignorant. They believe that what ISIS is doing is what the religion asks for, when what they are doing is completely ... First, there are set limits on how much an individual will spend before the government will pay for all the fees (David Hogberg). This helps people when they have lots of medical expenses. For example 200 kronas, about $24, is the most patients will pay annually for prescription drugs (David Hogberg). The system is set up so that the central government controls the laws and regulation which makes the distribution of heath care fair. In addition private practice is heavily regulated (Swedish Institute). The regulation helps to ensure that the care for citizens who get private or public care receive similar care. In Global Political Economy, Chapter 11 discusses "the global pursuit of economic development since the end of the Second World War" (219). In a nutshell, this analysis involves the account and summary of some of the information that has been previously presented in earlier chapters of this book. Mainly, the process of industrialization in Great Britain as well as the United States is noted in the introduction to the chapter. Afterwards, the authors proceed to define the term 'development' using quotes and statements from a few other authors. But, the central idea of development, no matter how the definition may be worded, takes into account the themes of process and condition, or the change of condition. In addition, when regarding the immediate era after the war, development relied on economic growth of a country measured by its Gross National Product (GNP) (221). The Gross National Product, according to Encyclopedia Britannica, is the "total market value of the final goods and services produced by a nation's economy during a specific period of time (usually a year), computed before allowance is made for the depreciation or consumption of capital used in the process of production" (Encyclopedia Britannica). The timeline of development for countries worldwide after WWII is then clarified. Many nations were considered 'underdeveloped', 'backward', or most commonly 'Third World'. The History Of GDP Growth Sweden Economist's Explanation The article begins with outlining the record of GDP growth Sweden since 2009 and speaks to how Sweden's current monetary stimulus contrasts with what would typically be expected during a period of sustained and increasing GDP growth. Typically, following a period of successful loose policy to stimulate the economy, the central bank would move to increase interest rates and decrease the money supply, such that money growth is equivalent to GDP growth (in the Classical view) and inflation rises in a relatively controlled fashion. Increasing interest rates would discourage borrowing and spending while also encouraging increased saving. Increased rates might also serve to divert funds out of equity markets and into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Fed is currently concluding its period of quantitative easing and increasing interest rates thereby potentially tightening the money supply as borrowing and spending will decrease while savings and the rate of inflation increases. The ECB continues its monetary stimulus through quantitative easing buying long–term bonds to flood the economy with money in the hopes of increasing inflation to the ECB target of just shy of 2% (currently at 1.73% according to the ECB). The article notes the impact that foreign investment can have on the exchange rate by discussing the Swiss Franc becoming overvalued, in part due to the drop in oil prices coupled with a failing Russian economy (Revill). This has caused the currency to appreciate forcing the SNB to take action against the rising exchange rate using quantitative easing to reduce the "upward pressure on the Swiss Franc". The article also addresses the core reasons why the Riksbank is hesitant to reduce its monetary stimulus. Swedish economists are acting conservatively with many believing that the increase in inflation is due increased energy prices and airfares rather than the Riksbank's monetary stimulus. They believe the rate of inflation would decrease should there be any changes in energy prices or airfares. A trap that many online casinos in the past fell into was opting for localisation when it came to both operations and currency offering. This way of thinking saw many online casinos fall by the wayside, as the major names adopted an intercontinental approach to operations. One online casino that is attempting to branch out in such area is Tivoli Casino, who has announced plans to add GBP, NOK, and SEK to their available currency selection. The move from Tivoli Casino is an interesting one and in many ways represents the company's ambition to become one of the world's biggest online casinos. "Enjoy your stay in Nia." Nicholas Pierce looked up from his tablet and grabbed his brief case from the seat beside him. Actively avoided eye contact with anyone, he shuffled out into the open square. The light from the giant solar lamps attached to the ceiling of the cave high above caused him to wince and look down into his tablet once again. It was already eight o' clock. The trams seemed to be getting later and later every day. It is a tale of faith, courage and sympathy – one that enchanted the imagination of the world and changed the way South Africa cares for challenged youth. Founded by the late Bishop Reginald Orsmond in 1958 and based on the principles of Father Flanagan's famous Girls & Boys Town in Nebraska, USA, Girls & Boys Town has granted thousands of children of all races, genders, faith and languages a new beginning. Most of them arrive here with broken dreams, sick at heart and in body too. Some have been physically or sexually abused, forgotten or abandoned. Some come from broken homes, do badly at school, have discipline issues, and lack social skills. What makes them different ? Girls and Boys Town is under the guidance of adults, the kids actually govern themselves, electing their Mayor, Councillors and Managers who make the rules and see that they are kept. This capitalises on the teenage desire to be admired and respected by their peers. Our eight registered Children's Homes – four large Youth Development Centres and four community 'family' homes – offer residential care to children whose own families cannot cope and who don't do well in foster care. They all are considered NCAA athletes and all abide by the same rules and regulations. Football is one of America's favorite pass times and through this sport many athletes have been able to attend Colleges and Universities, all over The United States, for free. Although there are currently 72,788 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Football players, only the few that have the opportunity to play Division 1 football are eligible to receive these full athletic scholarships also known as "full rides". Division 2 is an assortment of more than 300 NCAA colleges and universities that provide thousands of student–athletes the opportunity to compete at a high level of scholarship athletics. Some Division 2 schools also give their athletes full scholarships but these cases are rare, instead, they give partial athletic scholarships to help lighten the load. Athletes that play Division 3 football are often seen as playing "For the love of the game" or "Love of completion" and receive no sort of athletic scholarship for playing a college sport. Players that decide to take the Junior College or JUCO route are playing, more times than not, to attract the attention of Division 1 coaches in order to seize the opportunity of attending college for free. Answer 1: The Rehn–Meidner model was developed by the Swedish trade union confederation (Landsorganisitionen i Sverige) economists Gösta Rehn and Rudolf Meidner and presented during a LO congress in 1951. It is based on an active labor market policy, a solidarity wage policy and a restrictive macroeconomic policy which combined should lead to a full employment, fair wages, price stability and a high economic growth (Erixon, 2010: 677). Even though Sweden's economic was in a good shape in comparison to other European states due its neutral status during the Second World War, the theory of Maynard Keynes ... Because of its EU–membership Sweden now shares the responsibility for the safety of the EU countries as it signed the solidarity clause and so losing military autonomy (Eur–lex.europa.eu, 2015). In the hindsight of the current problematic situation in Europe it is possible Sweden has to react in order of solidarity and alliance. My beliefs and view on the gender ideology towards work and family is more weighed on one side (Masculine) and partly on the other (Feminine). It is evident that the 'Masculine' gender is more dominant in our society and because of this; there is more expectation and responsibility for the masculine gender. However, there is a continual inclusion trend in which we are witnessing the feminine gender assume some roles of the masculine gender. But overall, the masculine effect is still dominant. I personally feel that there should be a good balance of work and family responsibility by the men. It is necessary that the 'Men' are mostly responsible for taking the role of the breadwinner of the family therefore, the working hours of the men would have to be met as required by the employer. For example, working 40 hours a week is the minimum in the US but varies in some other places. In a case whereby the man has to take an overtime shift just to meet the needs of the family. The core responsibility of a family depends on both the man and the woman. This also varies depending on the family. In my opinion, I would expect both genders o take equal responsibility. The feminine gender is mostly associated with the child care activities and the house chores while the Masculine gender is associated with the providing for the family and helping the feminine gender. The objective of this paper is to give a clearer picture to how the U.S dollar became the world 's most dominant reserve currency . Several countries use it as their official currency, and many others use it as the de facto currency . Moreover, American dollar is the primary reserve currency, which is used as the standard unit in international market for commodities such as gold and petroleum. However, the dollar has been declining over the last three decades; in fact it has lost almost half its value against other major currencies. The purpose of this research is to bring clarity for the following questions: How, when and why the dollar became the world's reserve currency? Benefits of having the largest world reserve currency? Comparing the dollar with the pound and the up and rising Chinese Renminbi (RMB), and predictions for the future. Keywords: Currency fluctuation; Reserve Currency; International Market; Global Reach I. Introduction We use the term "reserve currency" when we mean other countries ' use of dollars in international trade. If Sweden, for example, buys goods from China, the goods can be paid with American dollars instead of Swedish Krona. The methodological approach to address how, when and why the dollar became the world's reserve currency will be supported by a historical and statistical analysis. With a better understanding on how the U.S dollar become the most powerful currency we can advance to understand the cost and benefits of it. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
