Barriers to Effective Communication Communication enables human beings to interact in a
meaningful way. It is hence a vital component of coming up with the meanings of situations so as to
derive the intended conclusions. According to Schwartz (2001), communication can be said to be the
process that involves the sending and receipt of messages of information among individuals. The

These barriers are found in the organizational setting and they can be broadly divided into barriers
from employees and barriers from employers. Barriers from employees are low levels of motivation,
refusal to cooperate as well as strained relationships with he employer. On the other hand, barriers
from employers include inadequate trust in their workers, inadequate knowledge of clues of a
nonverbal nature such as posture as well as facial expressions etc. For effective communication to
take place, the listener can enhance his listening skills. Fully developed listening skills guarantee the
successful receipt of the message that is heard (Schwartz 2001). Another way of enhancing effective
communication includes avoiding multiple communication channels and doing away with the
various intermediaries. Other strategies as Schwartz (2001) notes include the elimination of
semantic noise and words that may initiate miscommunication. In the organizational setting,
communication barriers can eliminated by coming up or designing a highly flexible organizational
structure that is more transparent as well as dynamic. It is clear that effective communication is only
possible with the elimination of the various barriers. Organizations should ensure that these barriers
are addressed so as to ensure that the communication process is not interrupted at any point.

This is because many people hesitate to put their thoughts or ideas in writing. Fourth, this form of

advantages that must also be considered. Formal communication satisfies that all of the
organizations are on the same page. Formal communication is more clear and concise than informal
communication so that there is no confusion regarding the purpose or content of the message.
Formal communication also establishes a paper trail for further use at a later time. When dealing

The four types of barriers to effective communication are emotional barriers, physical barriers,
semantic barriers, and ineffective listening (Wallace & Roberson, 2009). Emotional barriers can
be present in either the sender or the receiver and may be based on personal experiences or
expectations. Physical barriers are considered to be an obstruction in which it makes it difficult to
allow free flow of information. For example, a physical barrier can be an officer reporting
information regarding a crime or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor. A semantic barrier is the
study of the development and meaning of words. In the Criminal Justice system officers can
interpret a term, such as "juvenile delinquent" in different ways. This can mean that the juvenile is
hard core and under age youth or a youth acting out. Having the ability to understand the meaning of
these terms can result in bad communication for the organization. Ineffective listening is the failure
to hear or receive the speaker's message. I have found that causes of ineffective listening are
uninteresting topics, critiquing of the speaker, emotional involvement, and failure to adjust to
distractions and emotional content or offensive words. Effective listening requires an environment
and training to be conductive to concentration of the speaker and receptiveness of the receiver.

Europe.But still the cross –channel interference affect the vehicular communication systems.So to
diminish these problems,this paper presents the implementation of two–stage lowpass equiripple
FIR filter,target to be integrated with digital baseband receiver chain of vehicular communication
platform.The filter was evaluated,optimized and tested with the simulation results and FPGA
implementation to provide the low delay generated in operation and to show the effectiveness of the
