Personal Narrative: Mommy And Grandma
When Mommy helped Sarah into her favorite pajamas – of course the denim blue flannel ones with big, patched pockets, and put her to bed, she took
her temperature. Sure enough, Sarah was running a slight fever, so Mommy gave her a baby aspirin and children's cold medicine; and tucked a warm
hot water bottle wrapped in a thick towel beneath the covers at the foot of the bed to keep her feet warm. As Sarah snuggled beneath the covers, she
watched the first snowflakes of winter gently floating down – collecting on the window ledge outside. And glancing over the back yard, toward the
bare trees, and bare rose bushes – she tried not to cry. As she lay there, the snow grew heavier and fell faster, and soon the backyard was transformed

She could hardly wait to see her house again – and her room. She could hardly wait to snuggle down in her warm, cozy bed. And her garden, she
could hardly wait to see her wonderful garden, even though it would be covered with snow. And closing her eyes, Sarah tried to imagine her garden in
full bloom – just like it was spring. в€
ћ By the time Sarah got home, the snow had stopped falling. Her grandparents were there and waiting in the
doorway. Grandma had made hot cocoa, especially for her, and was holding a big cup of it in her hands. Because Sarah was still a little weak and
didn't feel like being up just yet, Mommy carried her straight away to her room and tucked her into bed. When Grandma followed with the cup of
cocoa that had pastel colored Marsh– mallows on top (which reminded Sarah of her pink and blue polka dot blouse) she took it and drank every drop!
Because Sarah was already tired from the long drive home, the warm cocoa made her even sleepier; but just as she was about to drift off, Daddy and
Grandpa came into the room and snuggled the covers around her. Giving her a kiss on the cheek, Grandpa whispered, "If you can stay awake just a

Gender Roles In Little Mommy
The views of the time about women and men in the workplace were reflected through the story "Little Mommy" written in 1959. The story showed
how women were the house keepers, the nurtures of the children, and the person to care for the house. The man was viewed as independent. He made
his own money, bought his own cars, and held less of a role in his children's lives.
The author of this book showed a little girl being a "mommy." Each page showed a task that a mommy should perform. For example the little girl is
shown playing with her babies (dolls), washing dishes, sweeping the floor, and washing clothes. There is one page in the book that mentions the
daddy. He is shown in a car. The author explains that "he works in the city" then the author asks, if we as readers, think that his "car is pretty?" Since
this book was written in the late 50's there was a large emphasis on the woman being at home taking care of the house and the kids; while the father
went to work to provide money for his family. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the examples from this book that disturbed me the most was "Boys invent things. Girls use the things boys invent." These two pages of the
book alone showed the sexism of the author. The author was implying that boys are handymen and are capable of using their mind to invent
things. He also is implying that girls are not as smart as boys or incapable of inventing anything for themselves because they are 'girls.' The author
went on to point out jobs that a boy or girl can have. Examples of this include "Boys as doctors. Girls are nurses." "Boys are policemen. Girls are
meter maids." "Boys build houses. Girls keep houses." While expressing what boys and what girls are expected to grow up to be this teaches the
readers that boys and girls are not equal. They are not allowed to be what they want to be, but what their gender is expected to become based on
society's

Analysis Of Mommy Dead And Dearest
Mommy Dead & Dearest
Imagine your own family member constantly manipulating you into thinking you were going to be forever young. Now imagine that person telling
every individual that you cannot care for yourself nor will ever get better. To be completely honest, that is a scary thought, not having any control
over your own body and believing your caretaker that you are mentally incapacitate to care for yourself. The documentary I chose to watch and write
about is Mommy Dead & Dearest, this documentary was released 11 March 2017 and the director is Erin Lee Carr. In this documentary, we see Dee
Dee and Gypsy's narrative who brings Munchausen Syndrome by proxy – a form of child abuse that involves a caretaker making up an illness for ...

Dee Dee was tested for muscular dystrophy. She had brain and spine scans and a muscle biopsy. She was eventually confined to a wheel chair
because she couldn't walk. Dee Dee thought Gypsy had sleep apnea so she took her to the hospital almost every day to lie about different illnesses and
seek medication that Gypsy wouldn't need.
Many years later, June 2015, Gypsy is now serving 10 years in prison for plotting her mother's murder. I would have never expected the documentary to
end the way it did. However, according to text messages and interrogation–room footage included in the documentary, Gypsy's boyfriend sneaked into
their house and allegedly stabbed Dee Dee while Gypsy hid in the bathroom. Gypsy and her boyfriend proceeded to take 'several thousand dollars'
from a safe at Dee Dee's home and spent some time in Springfield following her mother's death. Disturbing Facebook posts were made, exclaiming
Gypsy's boyfriend murdered her mother. I strongly believe watching the documentary really triggers people's emotions. The amount of abuse Gypsy
endured, mentally, physically, nobody should have to ever go through that. Viewing as Gypsy's perspective, I can see why she felt the need to kill her
mother. There was a lot of hatred in her heart and probably even more hatred knowing she was perfectly well and her mom just manipulated her
throughout her childhood into adulthood. My heart really aches for her, although first degree murder wasn't the

Ethnographic Analysis: The Five Mommy Support Groups
The study has an ethnographic approach in order to have a more personal perspective on the topic and focus less on numbers and statistics. The
research data is collected through a series of interviews and participant observation. The partakers for the project were randomly selected through a
self–selection sampling process. The participants were selected from UP at UGA, which is a student organization that provides resources or referrals to
mom–students, and giving moms emotional support and friendship. I was unable to select moms outside of this organization due to the time limit of
this project. I contacted the president of UP at UGA, Brenna about my project and she emailed all the moms that attend UP at UGA. Then she emailed
me back the five moms' contact information that were interested in participating in the study. The five student moms did not have a significant cultural
background from each other or did not really mention their cultural... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I wanted to gain insight on what a mommy support group consist of and on the interactions between moms. The original proposal stated that I would
complete the participant observation first before my interviews since it might allow the moms to open to me more during the interview. However, the
first mommy support group I attempted to go to was canceled because none of the mothers was able to attend the meeting. Following that, I tried to
attend their next meeting on 13 November 2016 but that was canceled because the masseuse had to call in sick. Consequently, I was unable to meet
the mothers before the interviews. Furthermore, since it was a week before Thanksgiving Break and the end of the semester, the organization did not
have any more mommy support group planned. Therefore, I had to deviate from my original plan. Instead of attending one of UP at UGA's meeting, I
participated in a meeting held by Athens Mothers'

Is Mommy Wrong With Me
"Mommy what is wrong with me?"
Growing up many of dream about that magical day when we become a mother. For all women this however may not be the case. Some may be
knowing ingesting illegal substances, while others are just plain unaware of the damage that they are doing to their unborn babies. Before ever
becoming pregnant the mother may have injured herself and was placed on prescription pain relievers to control the pain. Over time the mother
becomes addicted to them not even thinking about what her use could do to her future children if she doesn't stop.
For mothers that report their opiate use/abuse during their pregnancy their prenatal care can be tailored to what will be best for the mother and baby
when she delivers. The problem with

Mommy Book Report
"Mom? Dad? Where do babies come from?" asked one of my children not too long ago. You might sense a little sarcasm if I say this is every
parent's favorite question. We wait with anxiety for this question to be asked! But let's be realistic: it is probably not every parent's preferred one.
How about, "Dad? How do babies get into a mommy's tummy and how do they come out?" This inquiry certain triumphs over the previous one.
Questions are formed as minds and hearts contemplate the information they are exposed to. Answers are pursued when the human soul undergoes the
searching process to discover the meaning of life and God. Consequently, Nicodemus devoted himself during the day reflecting on Jesus' words and
actions and the evening seeking... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, we acknowledge that children also have a need to be reborn in water and the Spirit. Therefore, they are baptized as soon as possible
because their parents, as well as the Church, cannot deny them the gift of becoming children of God. Indeed, infant baptism testifies that God says yes
to us in love even before we can say yes to Him in faith while summoning the community to look after and support one another's faith journey.
Nevertheless, Baptism puts us on the path of salvation and new life but does not guarantee that we will arrive at the end of this path. Therefore, we
must look for, encounter, and walk with Christ Jesus daily on this earth–to–heaven journey. He is truly the Way, the Truth, and the Life that will guide,
enlighten, and empower us. Certainly, the Second Person of the Trinity became man for our salvation and offers us new life through the sacraments,
with the help of His Spirit, and in Him who is the True Vine. (Jn

As we made our way down to the basement where the mummies are I said wouldn't it be scary if they came to life? Right when I said that the
lights went out and me and Markell both pulled out our phones and turned our lights on. We both decided to still keep looking around we must
have been walking for five or ten minutes when we heard a loud BANG! We both stopped dead in our tracks and looked behind us there was

Why Is Mommy Important To Me
Jeremy In the song "Jeremy" we read, listened, and watched a song about a kid. The 3 tones were all different and I will explain them to you. As
on is sad. The other one is exciting. The last one is even more depressing then the other 3. So I will explain to you why these are now. The first tone
is us reading the lyrics simply. The lyrics'' tone was sad because when you read the song, some of it says "I remember picking on the boy" and
"Daddy didn't give attention to the fact mommy didn't care." These are only 2 of the several song quotes that make it sad. As in 2 problems are the
parents are neglecting their child, and he is being bullied by reading it. So the mood is sad for this. Now the second one is listening to the music,
when the singer says the lyrics he makes it sound exciting. As he is saying it with excitement, making us all excited as well. So this Defeats the point
of the sad tone in reading it.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Mommy Makeover
Motherhood is a noble calling. Yet, it is also one of the most demanding underpaid jobs in the world, and it can take a toll on a woman's body. A
mommy makeover can correct the unattractive physical changes brought by pregnancy and childbirth. Mommy Makeover at a Glance
A cosmetic procedure that involves one or several surgeries to address the unattractive physical changes of motherhood, such as deflated breasts, stretch
marks, separated abdominal muscles, and many others. Mommy Makeover Procedures
Renaissance Plastic Surgery offers a plethora of surgical and non–surgical plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive procedures to help women regain their
pre–pregnancy body back. A consultation with one of our board–certified plastic surgeons will determine what procedures can form part of a mommy

Below are the most common procedures that mothers include in their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If needed, the surgeon can include a facelift and some injectable treatments to achieve the desired results.
Mommy Makeover Candidates
Women who have had children and no longer have any plans for future pregnancies make good candidates for a mommy makeover. Mothers should
also be in good overall health and have reached the ideal weight to qualify for this procedure. An in–depth consultation with a plastic surgeon will
determine if a woman is a good candidate.
Mommy Makeover Recovery
The length of the recovery period may vary, as it will depend on the type of procedures involved in the process. Less invasive procedures, such as a
liposuction, may need minimal downtime with limited rigorous activities. Extensive surgeries, such as a tummy tuck, may require one to two weeks of
rest, and a several more weeks to recover completely. Our surgeons always advise our patients how much downtime they need to take, so they can
prepare and make necessary arrangements.

This week I meet up with my Nephew Omari who is currently 2 years old, going on 3 in January. We meet up at home and I sat back and just quietly

everything that he can get his hands on, mommy is on standby to intercept anything that could be dangerous but still lets him be. Toys litter the floor

with love. When my mommy laughs you can see a beautiful love in the side of her cheek. My mommy is average height; she has large eyelashes
and figured eyebrows. Her lips are thick with a sparkle of pink; nose is medium and much defined. Her ears are rounded and neither too large nor too

Furthermore, I considered her my best friend. Whenever I have a problem I can go talk to her. Although my mommy does not do sport, she is

would have anything to do the next day. First thing in the morning my mom waked me up and told me that we had to clean all the windows inside
and outside. However, she helped me cleaned them and it was kind of fun. In addition, I remember that when we came to the US my mom worked
at three jobs; she barely had time for me. At night, overwhelmed by the work, she would grab me in her arms and carried me to her bed. She hugged

A woman's body undergoes some tremendous changes during pregnancy and childbirth. The unwanted effects of childbearing and breastfeeding,

with the help of a surgical intervention, called Mommy Makeover.
What is Mommy Makeover?
Mommy makeover is a combination of multiple body contouring procedures, including breast surgery, body sculpting with liposuction, and
abdominoplasty (also known as a tummy tuck). These procedures can reverse the changes associated with pregnancy and childbirth, and dramatically

After the baby arrives, the abdominal muscles and skin shrink back down, leaving the mother with stretch marks, loose skin and lax muscles. The
excess fat and loose skin can be removed from the abdominal region via an abdominoplasty.
Removal of Fat Deposition
Weight gain is inevitable during pregnancy. It's normal, healthy and also necessary, albeit in reasonable measures. Putting on too much weight is not a
good sign. The unwanted fat deposits in the neck, arms, back and knees that do not go away after pregnancy can be addressed through liposuction.
Laser Technology to Rejuvenate Your Skin
New mommies often go for laser therapy to enhance the texture, tone and quality of your skin. There are a variety of laser treatments that can give you
a smoother, firmer, more vibrant–looking complexion by removing fine lines, wrinkles and folds from your face. Today, laser technology is widely
used to correct loose or sagging skin, erase signs of sun damage and remove unwanted hair on the face or body.
Cellulite Therapy
There are many cellulite treatments, including massages or cellulite creams, that can improve the appearance of the dimpled skin on the thighs, hips,
buttocks and abdomen.

Mommy Film Techniques
In the years following his impressive film debut for I Killed My Mother (09) at the age of only nineteen, Xavier Dolan (French–Canadian actor,
director, screenwriter, editor, costume designer and producer) has withheld his space in the limelight. Between Heartbeats, Laurence Anyways, and
Tom at the Farm, Dolan, now 27, returned to the big screen again with the release of Mommy in 2014.
Tragic yet luminous, Mommy is a film of astounding violence and grief punctuated by bursts of unmitigated glee. Diane 'Die' DesprГ©s (Anne
Dorval), a widowed, tattooed, and freshly fired mother of one, who struggles deeply when her psychotic teenage son, Steve O'Connor DesprГ©s

No one before Canadian writer–director Dolan has ever tried a 1:1–a risk considering the vast majority of modern films are screened in a 1.85:1 or
2.35:1 aspect ratio. Despite the time it takes to get used to the restrained perspective, it works beautifully in both an aesthetic and metaphoric manner.
The bold visual trick mixed with tight shot sizes allow every moment to be emotionally sincere; the audience can avoid distractions to the left and right
of the frame and look the characters right in the eye. Even in the most calm of scenes, if there are three characters on screen, the sequence becomes that
much more powerful. The ratio forces the audience to sit front row in the suffocating unhealthiness and, like Steve's mind, offers them no escape–save
for two fleeting moments when the frame expands to a standard aspect ratio. These moments, being the two most hopeful in the film, really do help to
express the feelings of freedom that the characters experience before being but back into their 'cages'–the "perfect square" perspective becoming more
ironic than

like he was dead). I picked him up, he was completely unresponsive, I checked for a pulse and breathing. Thankfully he had both. As I was holding

Monologue About Mommy
I remember mommy always telling me I was her miracle child. Daddy use to hit me when I was young and mom had to get away. She says that
although we escaped we were both affected by his abuse. Mommy has nightmares and I have what the doctors call Cerebral Palsy. Mommy says I
wasn't always this way. When I was delivered by the stork, I was like the other boys and girls but daddy hurt me so, now I'm not. My legs don't
move the right way I can't seem to control them. I get these tingles, like ants running down my pants. Mommy is always carrying me or pushing me
in a stroller. I don't have many friends on the playground. They laugh at me because I still wet the bed and have to wear pull–ups instead of big boy
undies. Mommy says they just don't

Mommy Makeover Essay
A mommy makeover is a plastic surgery trend that helps to reverse the effect pregnancy has on your body. After one pregnancy, some women naturally
return to their pre–pregnancy figure, but many women don't especially after two or three children. Breasts begin to lose volume and sag, the abdomen
that is stretched during pregnancy becomes loose and doesn't tighten even after rigorous exercise. Some fat deposits are also very difficult to get rid
of even with strict dieting and exercise. The remedy for all of the above is a mommy makeover.
There are five main treatments included in a typical mommy makeover, including an abdominoplasty or tummy tuck, breast enhancement or
augmentation, liposuction to remove fat, skin tightening and cellulite removal. During your consultation with our specialist, you can ... Show more

A tummy tuck tightens the muscles in your abdomen and removes excess skin. There are several levels of tummy tuck, including a full
abdominoplasty, a belt lipectomy, a small incision abdominoplasty and a reverse abdominoplasty. Our specialist will help you choose the one that will
give you the best results.
Breast augmentation may be a breast lift or breast implants. For some women, a breast lift is all it takes to restore their breasts to their original
position. It involves raising the breast and repositioning the nipple. For other women, breast implants are the best way to restore volume and make the
breasts look younger and fuller. Implants may be recommended to restore the original size and firmness or to make the breasts a little larger than they
were before pregnancy.
Liposuction can remove fat, but it does not treat loose or stretched skin that may be left behind after the fat is removed. This is the main reason
liposuction is typically used along with a tummy tuck. The combination of these procedures is the most effective way to make the abdomen and waist
line tight and

Mommy Moments Research Paper
I have a lot of "proud" mommy moments, but one of the most recent moments is when my oldest daughter, Brianna joined the Army. When Brianna
graduated high school, she really didn't know what to do with her life. She has always been very interested in working on vehicles, but she has also
been interested in coaching basketball and becoming an Athletic Director. She thought that being a mechanic would just be a hobby and would just go to
college, since that is what all of her friends were doing. That fall she started college at CSC and was doing very good. She knew something was
missing from her life and just wasn't as interested in college as she thought she would be. She started to party and go to class less and less. Then, that

an hour everyone just sat there looking at an open field with a bunch of trees in the distance. Everyone kept looking around to see where all of the
soldiers were, but there were a few drill sergeants walking around and that was it. My son Cole said, "oh great mom, we're at the wrong place".
Then, all of a sudden there were different colored smoke bombs being launched from the trees in the distance and over the loud speakers they were
playing Toby Keith's song, Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue. When we looked out into the once completely field there was just various
colored smoke everywhere. Then all of a sudden, the drill sergeants started to run towards the trees (I'm assuming, it was hard to see with all of the
smoke). The smoke started to die down and we could see hundreds of soldiers running toward us. There were so many of them, it was impossible to
find Brianna in the sea of camouflage. Everyone was clapping and cheering, then I look over at my other daughter, Alli and she was just bawling. I

"Hi Mommy."
"Shit!" She clutched her chest, finally noticing Colette who stood a few feet from the bed staring intently at her with wide brown eyes.
"You're not supposed to swear Mommy."
"I know Colette," she said with a sigh, as she sat up in bed. "Sorry." She scooted over, motioning for her daughter to come closer. "What's up sweetie?"

Tears welled in her eyes, threatening to fall. She laughed humorlessly. "Being back here sure brings back a lot of memories." She pressed her fingers

Mommy Bear Book Report
"Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world" said by Nelson Madela is the best quote to describe why children should be
reading books about the LGBT community. The positioning of the difficult topic in classrooms can be shown through the research done by Ohio State
University in high schools. By reading LGBT literature over time on a normal basis it normalized the idea to the children. Education is important to all
children, but the education on the LGBT community is difficult to find in any community. Through reading different types of fiction teachers, parents,
and others can introduce and teach about the different life styles in our communities today.
In The New Goldilocks and the Tree Bears: Mama Bear, Mommy Bear, and Baby Bear the timeless story is transformed to show how families can
have different structures. Through reading the book the first item that is can be clearly seen are the bright colorful illustrations. These illustrations
attract the reader and make the children more engaged in the story. The concept of two mothers, is perfectly adapted to fit the original story of a mom

Mommy Wars: The Internalization Of Motherhood Rhetoric
Mommy Wars: Divisions Stemming from Rhetoric
Motherhood rhetoric – this sub–topic of rhetoric is niche and specific, but it relates to several vaster areas of rhetoric that are constantly being practiced
and discussed. Feminism, gender norms, and social constructs all play into motherhood rhetoric, and consequently, these different areas of rhetoric that
shape motherhood rhetoric also play a major part in "Mommy Wars." Mommy Wars rhetoric is exceedingly prevalent and divisive in today's society. In
this Special Topics of Rhetoric Project, I will be examining and exploring the ideas in several sources that help clarify these issues, and consequently,
the entities that are perpetuating this harmful rhetoric in today's mothers. In both online and in physical relationships and interactions, the Mommy
Wars rhetoric that divides mothers is perpetuated largely by cultural norms, societal norms, and media involvement.
Cultural and Societal Norms
"Moms Hating Moms: The Internalization of Mother War Rhetoric" by Deirdre Johnston and Debra Swanson explores this notion of Mommy Wars
rhetoric and culture. Culturally constructed binaries separate mothers who work out of the home and mothers who work at home, and there are
common issues that can arise as a result of this discord between the two groups. Johnston and Swanson make three distinct claims in this article. Firstly,
the authors suggest that mothers have stereotypical views of mothers who operate opposite of their lifestyle. As a

Abortion: Baby Vs. Mommy Debate
Abortion is, easily, the most controversial topic in the United States today. Some think it should be illegal, some think it should be legal but with
restrictions, and then there are those who think it should be legal and free to access when wanted or needed. It usually ends with the Baby VS.
Mommy debate. When does a fetus become a person? While pro–life advocates believe life begins at conception, pro–choice activists argue that
abortions are going to happen whether it's legal or not. Those who are pro–choice believe in abortion legalization to save lives and give women the
right to have control over their own bodies. However, pro–life advocates claim that abortion is murder, by stating, "Abortion ends a pregnancy by
destroying and removing the developing child. That baby's heart has already begun to beat by the time the mother misses her period and begins to
wonder if she might be pregnant (about 31 days after the mother's last menstrual period or LMP)" (nrlc.org). Pro–life advocates are drifting away from
the primary issue, which is maintaining basic human rights and are focused on social allegations as reasons for abortion. ... Show more content on

Pro–life activists also believe that legalizing abortion has a link to lower crime rates. "Crime began to fall roughly eighteen years after abortion
legalization. The ВЋve states that allowed abortion in 1970 experienced declines earlier than the rest of the nation, which legalized in 1973 with Roe
v. Wade. States with high abortion rates in the 1970s and 1980s experienced greater crime reductions in the 1990s" (The Quarterly Journal of
Economics). Abortion will continue to be a topic of controversy in which opposing side will never see eye to eye

Film Analysis Of Mommy And Ida
Xavier Dolan's Mommy (2014) and Pawel Pawlikowski's Ida (2013) epitomize visual masterpieces. Mommy won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film
Festival and competed as a nomination for the Palme d'Or; Ida won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In relation to the synopsis,
the films are dichotomous, the former depicts the relationship between a single mother and her teenage son; the latter follows a young nun and the
legacy of the Holocaust in post–World War II Poland. Also, in terms of color and visual style the films diverge, Mommy utilizes bright colors and
multiple closeups, whereas and Ida is in black–and–white and uses a multitude of cinematographic techniques. Both films represent divergent styles,
but contain myriad elements for a visual analysis. Mommy is ultimately about an intense mother/son relationship. At the beginning of the film, Diane
DesprГ©s picks up her son Steve from a juvenile detention facility, from which he had been expelled. Steve's impulsive and violent behavior led to his
temporary incarceration. Throughout the 2 hour and 19 minute run time, Diane and Steve attempt to rebuild their fraught relationship, with the major
barrier being Steve's behavior and Diane's inability to provide him assistance. The introduction of the DesprГ©s neighbor, Kyla, attempts to heal the
relationship; however, the film concludes in an act of impulsively suicidal desperation. Pawlikowski's Ida takes place in Poland in the 1960s, with the
effects of the

If Mommy Was Breastfeed Essay
If Mommy is sick, can she breastfeed?
When you are sick, you and your baby will almost always benefit from continuing to breastfeed. There are very few illnesses that require a mother to
stop nursing.
Since most illnesses are caused by viruses that are most contagious before you even realize you are sick, your baby has already been exposed before
you even develop symptoms (such as fever, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, runny nose, cough, etc). Continuing to breastfeed will help protect your baby from
the infection, because your body produces antibodies to the specific organism that is causing the infection, and you pass them on to the baby in your
breast milk. Often, a breastfed baby will be the only member of the family who doesn't get sick. If ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

CareerMom: Self-Help Balancing Career and Motherhood Essay
CareerMom is a practical book for working mothers, a self–help book for balancing career and motherhood. The concept of this book was developed
from my personal experience and that of other career moms. My story of the concept goes;
One day before my maternity leave, I thought of how I was going to cope with the forth coming baby and also able to manage my family & career
effectively. I consulted with my sister and some other mothers who are all managing both their career and motherhood. With my mom's inspiration and

moms like me. She only wished I had written it earlier and so many can benefit ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This attitude has changed dramatically. We now have an explosion of information via television, internet and print media. Much of this information is
sensational and, it can sometimes be frightening.
The presentation and content of this book is sensational and will make career moms feel more comfortable and confident about their career choice. If
career moms are to continue to be involved in the decisions about their livelihood, they need balanced and accurate information. I hope Career Mom
will provide career moms with the knowledge necessary to ask questions and make informed decisions.
Learning to make this informed decision requires certain way of looking at the career and motherhood, a shifting perspective. It takes effort and
constant practice, for it may not normally come naturally. Certain basic skills are required, and once these skills are mastered, it can be applied easily.
The most important of these skills, and every career mom's crucial foundation, is the ability to master your emotion of situation and applying patience.
An emotional response to a situation is the single greatest barrier to successful motherhood and career, a mistake that can cost you a lot more than
temporary satisfaction you might gain by suppressing your

Tu Mommy Interpretation

  • 1. Tu Mommy Interpretation Some people look at artwork in different ways it just depends on your opinion of the artwork and how you interpret. I found that Tu Tu the mummy very interesting she was only around five foot tall. Since she was a mommy she wasn't very wide because her organs were put into a jar. The body was during for around 40 days with the natural salt phone around the Desert Lakes. Her body was cleaned, rubbed with oils, stuff with spices in bundles and women her body was finally wrap with long strips of linen. it is a 70 day mummification process including the rituals and ceremonies. Her coffin is covered with gold leaf in the face represents her face as if she was alive her eyes are enlarge and also her ears are also. The coffins artwork that the money ... • 2. Personal Narrative: Mommy And Grandma When Mommy helped Sarah into her favorite pajamas – of course the denim blue flannel ones with big, patched pockets, and put her to bed, she took her temperature. Sure enough, Sarah was running a slight fever, so Mommy gave her a baby aspirin and children's cold medicine; and tucked a warm hot water bottle wrapped in a thick towel beneath the covers at the foot of the bed to keep her feet warm. As Sarah snuggled beneath the covers, she watched the first snowflakes of winter gently floating down – collecting on the window ledge outside. And glancing over the back yard, toward the bare trees, and bare rose bushes – she tried not to cry. As she lay there, the snow grew heavier and fell faster, and soon the backyard was transformed into... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She could hardly wait to see her house again – and her room. She could hardly wait to snuggle down in her warm, cozy bed. And her garden, she could hardly wait to see her wonderful garden, even though it would be covered with snow. And closing her eyes, Sarah tried to imagine her garden in full bloom – just like it was spring. в€ ћ By the time Sarah got home, the snow had stopped falling. Her grandparents were there and waiting in the doorway. Grandma had made hot cocoa, especially for her, and was holding a big cup of it in her hands. Because Sarah was still a little weak and didn't feel like being up just yet, Mommy carried her straight away to her room and tucked her into bed. When Grandma followed with the cup of cocoa that had pastel colored Marsh– mallows on top (which reminded Sarah of her pink and blue polka dot blouse) she took it and drank every drop! Because Sarah was already tired from the long drive home, the warm cocoa made her even sleepier; but just as she was about to drift off, Daddy and Grandpa came into the room and snuggled the covers around her. Giving her a kiss on the cheek, Grandpa whispered, "If you can stay awake just a little longer – we have a surprise for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Gender Roles In Little Mommy The views of the time about women and men in the workplace were reflected through the story "Little Mommy" written in 1959. The story showed how women were the house keepers, the nurtures of the children, and the person to care for the house. The man was viewed as independent. He made his own money, bought his own cars, and held less of a role in his children's lives. The author of this book showed a little girl being a "mommy." Each page showed a task that a mommy should perform. For example the little girl is shown playing with her babies (dolls), washing dishes, sweeping the floor, and washing clothes. There is one page in the book that mentions the daddy. He is shown in a car. The author explains that "he works in the city" then the author asks, if we as readers, think that his "car is pretty?" Since this book was written in the late 50's there was a large emphasis on the woman being at home taking care of the house and the kids; while the father went to work to provide money for his family. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the examples from this book that disturbed me the most was "Boys invent things. Girls use the things boys invent." These two pages of the book alone showed the sexism of the author. The author was implying that boys are handymen and are capable of using their mind to invent things. He also is implying that girls are not as smart as boys or incapable of inventing anything for themselves because they are 'girls.' The author went on to point out jobs that a boy or girl can have. Examples of this include "Boys as doctors. Girls are nurses." "Boys are policemen. Girls are meter maids." "Boys build houses. Girls keep houses." While expressing what boys and what girls are expected to grow up to be this teaches the readers that boys and girls are not equal. They are not allowed to be what they want to be, but what their gender is expected to become based on society's ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Analysis Of Mommy Dead And Dearest Mommy Dead & Dearest Imagine your own family member constantly manipulating you into thinking you were going to be forever young. Now imagine that person telling every individual that you cannot care for yourself nor will ever get better. To be completely honest, that is a scary thought, not having any control over your own body and believing your caretaker that you are mentally incapacitate to care for yourself. The documentary I chose to watch and write about is Mommy Dead & Dearest, this documentary was released 11 March 2017 and the director is Erin Lee Carr. In this documentary, we see Dee Dee and Gypsy's narrative who brings Munchausen Syndrome by proxy – a form of child abuse that involves a caretaker making up an illness for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dee Dee was tested for muscular dystrophy. She had brain and spine scans and a muscle biopsy. She was eventually confined to a wheel chair because she couldn't walk. Dee Dee thought Gypsy had sleep apnea so she took her to the hospital almost every day to lie about different illnesses and seek medication that Gypsy wouldn't need. Many years later, June 2015, Gypsy is now serving 10 years in prison for plotting her mother's murder. I would have never expected the documentary to end the way it did. However, according to text messages and interrogation–room footage included in the documentary, Gypsy's boyfriend sneaked into their house and allegedly stabbed Dee Dee while Gypsy hid in the bathroom. Gypsy and her boyfriend proceeded to take 'several thousand dollars' from a safe at Dee Dee's home and spent some time in Springfield following her mother's death. Disturbing Facebook posts were made, exclaiming Gypsy's boyfriend murdered her mother. I strongly believe watching the documentary really triggers people's emotions. The amount of abuse Gypsy endured, mentally, physically, nobody should have to ever go through that. Viewing as Gypsy's perspective, I can see why she felt the need to kill her mother. There was a lot of hatred in her heart and probably even more hatred knowing she was perfectly well and her mom just manipulated her throughout her childhood into adulthood. My heart really aches for her, although first degree murder wasn't the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Ethnographic Analysis: The Five Mommy Support Groups The study has an ethnographic approach in order to have a more personal perspective on the topic and focus less on numbers and statistics. The research data is collected through a series of interviews and participant observation. The partakers for the project were randomly selected through a self–selection sampling process. The participants were selected from UP at UGA, which is a student organization that provides resources or referrals to mom–students, and giving moms emotional support and friendship. I was unable to select moms outside of this organization due to the time limit of this project. I contacted the president of UP at UGA, Brenna about my project and she emailed all the moms that attend UP at UGA. Then she emailed me back the five moms' contact information that were interested in participating in the study. I wanted to gain insight on what a mommy support group consist of and on the interactions between moms. The original proposal stated that I would complete the participant observation first before my interviews since it might allow the moms to open to me more during the interview. However, the first mommy support group I attempted to go to was canceled because none of the mothers was able to attend the meeting. Following that, I tried to attend their next meeting on 13 November 2016 but that was canceled because the masseuse had to call in sick. Consequently, I was unable to meet the mothers before the interviews. Furthermore, since it was a week before Thanksgiving Break and the end of the semester, the organization did not have any more mommy support group planned. Therefore, I had to deviate from my original plan. Instead of attending one of UP at UGA's meeting, I participated in a meeting held by Athens Mothers' ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Some may be knowing ingesting illegal substances, while others are just plain unaware of the damage that they are doing to their unborn babies. Before ever becoming pregnant the mother may have injured herself and was placed on prescription pain relievers to control the pain. Over time the mother becomes addicted to them not even thinking about what her use could do to her future children if she doesn't stop. • 7. Mommy Book Report "Mom? Dad? Where do babies come from?" asked one of my children not too long ago. You might sense a little sarcasm if I say this is every parent's favorite question. Answers are pursued when the human soul undergoes the searching process to discover the meaning of life and God. Furthermore, we acknowledge that children also have a need to be reborn in water and the Spirit. Therefore, they are baptized as soon as possible because their parents, as well as the Church, cannot deny them the gift of becoming children of God. Indeed, infant baptism testifies that God says yes to us in love even before we can say yes to Him in faith while summoning the community to look after and support one another's faith journey. Nevertheless, Baptism puts us on the path of salvation and new life but does not guarantee that we will arrive at the end of this path. Therefore, we must look for, encounter, and walk with Christ Jesus daily on this earth–to–heaven journey. He is truly the Way, the Truth, and the Life that will guide, enlighten, and empower us. Certainly, the Second Person of the Trinity became man for our salvation and offers us new life through the sacraments, with the help of His Spirit, and in Him who is the True Vine. (Jn ... The other one is exciting. The last one is even more depressing then the other 3. So I will explain to you why these are now. The first tone is us reading the lyrics simply. The lyrics'' tone was sad because when you read the song, some of it says "I remember picking on the boy" and "Daddy didn't give attention to the fact mommy didn't care." These are only 2 of the several song quotes that make it sad. As in 2 problems are the parents are neglecting their child, and he is being bullied by reading it. So the mood is sad for this. No one before Canadian writer–director Dolan has ever tried a 1:1–a risk considering the vast majority of modern films are screened in a 1.85:1 or 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Despite the time it takes to get used to the restrained perspective, it works beautifully in both an aesthetic and metaphoric manner. The bold visual trick mixed with tight shot sizes allow every moment to be emotionally sincere; the audience can avoid distractions to the left and right of the frame and look the characters right in the eye. Even in the most calm of scenes, if there are three characters on screen, the sequence becomes that much more powerful. The ratio forces the audience to sit front row in the suffocating unhealthiness and, like Steve's mind, offers them no escape–save for two fleeting moments when the frame expands to a standard aspect ratio. These moments, being the two most hopeful in the film, really do help to express the feelings of freedom that the characters experience before being but back into their 'cages'–the "perfect square" perspective becoming more ironic than ... Liposuction can remove fat, but it does not treat loose or stretched skin that may be left behind after the fat is removed. Mommy Wars: The Internalization Of Motherhood Rhetoric Mommy Wars: Divisions Stemming from Rhetoric Motherhood rhetoric – this sub–topic of rhetoric is niche and specific, but it relates to several vaster areas of rhetoric that are constantly being practiced and discussed. Feminism, gender norms, and social constructs all play into motherhood rhetoric, and consequently, these different areas of rhetoric that shape motherhood rhetoric also play a major part in "Mommy Wars." Mommy Wars rhetoric is exceedingly prevalent and divisive in today's society. In this Special Topics of Rhetoric Project, I will be examining and exploring the ideas in several sources that help clarify these issues, and consequently, the entities that are perpetuating this harmful rhetoric in today's mothers. In both online and in physical relationships and interactions, the Mommy Wars rhetoric that divides mothers is perpetuated largely by cultural norms, societal norms, and media involvement. Cultural and Societal Norms "Moms Hating Moms: The Internalization of Mother War Rhetoric" by Deirdre Johnston and Debra Swanson explores this notion of Mommy Wars rhetoric and culture. Culturally constructed binaries separate mothers who work out of the home and mothers who work at home, and there are common issues that can arise as a result of this discord between the two groups. Some think it should be illegal, some think it should be legal but with restrictions, and then there are those who think it should be legal and free to access when wanted or needed. It usually ends with the Baby VS. Mommy debate. When does a fetus become a person? While pro–life advocates believe life begins at conception, pro–choice activists argue that abortions are going to happen whether it's legal or not. However, pro–life advocates claim that abortion is murder, by stating, "Abortion ends a pregnancy by destroying and removing the developing child. That baby's heart has already begun to beat by the time the mother misses her period and begins to wonder if she might be pregnant (about 31 days after the mother's last menstrual period or LMP)" (nrlc.org). • 34. Film Analysis Of Mommy And Ida Xavier Dolan's Mommy (2014) and Pawel Pawlikowski's Ida (2013) epitomize visual masterpieces. Mommy won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and competed as a nomination for the Palme d'Or; Ida won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In relation to the synopsis, the films are dichotomous, the former depicts the relationship between a single mother and her teenage son; the latter follows a young nun and the legacy of the Holocaust in post–World War II Poland. Also, in terms of color and visual style the films diverge, Mommy utilizes bright colors and multiple closeups, whereas and Ida is in black–and–white and uses a multitude of cinematographic techniques. Both films represent divergent styles, but contain myriad elements for a visual analysis. Mommy is ultimately about an intense mother/son relationship. At the beginning of the film, Diane DesprГ©s picks up her son Steve from a juvenile detention facility, from which he had been expelled. Steve's impulsive and violent behavior led to his temporary incarceration. Throughout the 2 hour and 19 minute run time, Diane and Steve attempt to rebuild their fraught relationship, with the major barrier being Steve's behavior and Diane's inability to provide him assistance. The introduction of the DesprГ©s neighbor, Kyla, attempts to heal the relationship; however, the film concludes in an act of impulsively suicidal desperation. Pawlikowski's Ida takes place in Poland in the 1960s, with the effects of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. If Mommy Was Breastfeed Essay If Mommy is sick, can she breastfeed? When you are sick, you and your baby will almost always benefit from continuing to breastfeed. There are very few illnesses that require a mother to stop nursing. Since most illnesses are caused by viruses that are most contagious before you even realize you are sick, your baby has already been exposed before you even develop symptoms (such as fever, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, runny nose, cough, etc). Continuing to breastfeed will help protect your baby from the infection, because your body produces antibodies to the specific organism that is causing the infection, and you pass them on to the baby in your breast milk. Often, a breastfed baby will be the only member of the family who doesn't get sick. If ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If you are diabetic, breastfeeding offers many advantages. • 37. Short Story : ' Mommy Look ! ' "Mommy look!" I squeal, pointing to the super tall block tower I've just built! "Yeah, baby, it's beautiful," she says, not even looking. She's too busy helping Daddy with a paper for work tomorrow. Sissy walks bye and I squeal again, so proud of my work. Not even a flinch. Too busy on her phone talking to her 'little boyfriend', as Daddy says at dinner. Max comes over, wagging his yellow tale in happiness at my achievement. At least he's happy with me. The phone rings and Daddy picks it up, his face tightening with worry. "Hello," he says in a measured voice. The volume is loud enough that I hear a few words from the other person's line. "...Money now. You don't...us...come. If you love your family...dead." Daddy stands up straighter, looking at Mommy. She stops scribbling on his paper and slides him a blank piece. I toddle over and climb up onto the barstool at the kitchen island. My reading isn't very good, but he doesn't right much. Call them. Mommy's mouth forms to word no, but Daddy points to her cell phone. "I need a little more time," he tells the man on the phone line. The mystery man says something and Daddy gets even more nervous. "No, don't come now. I'll have it by morning. I mean it this time. Where do I meet you?" The voice gives an address and hangs up on Daddy. "I'm not calling them," Mommy says, calling Sissy down and sending her to play with me in the living room with my blocks. Sissy doesn't play, though. She says on her phone the whole time with little ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I don't mean I conjured up the vocabulary of a forty two year old woman or my body miraculously changed into one of a twenty eight year old lady. No. I mean I gained the mentality of someone most can never understand. I lost my mother to suicide when I was thirteen years old and that is enough to shift someone's mindset for good. My mind is filled with the memories I gained when I lost her. I remember waking up in a pool of my own sweat, screaming for my mother after a treacherous nightmare; she never came. • 40. Mommy Mama And Me Book Report A same–sex family is being represented in Leslea Newman's Mommy, Mama, And Me. A child is seen doing different activities with their two moms throughout the day. From Mama pouring juice in the child's cup, mommy packing a snack, and the child playing in the park with both moms. The book shows the bond that the child has with both mommy and mama. I liked the book, it displayed a lesbian family in a positive way, and would use it as a pedagogical tool. I believe it is perfect to show toddlers different types of families. Toddlers can learn that not everyone has a mommy and daddy, there are children who have two mommies. They will learn through a book normalizing same–sex couples, showing that just because there are two mommies it does not change ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
