The study has an ethnographic approach in order to have a more personal perspective on the topic and focus less on numbers and statistics. The
research data is collected through a series of interviews and participant observation. The partakers for the project were randomly selected through a

A same–sex family is being represented in Leslea Newman's Mommy, Mama, And Me. A child is seen doing different activities with their two moms
throughout the day. From Mama pouring juice in the child's cup, mommy packing a snack, and the child playing in the park with both moms. The
book shows the bond that the child has with both mommy and mama. I liked the book, it displayed a lesbian family in a positive way, and would use it
as a pedagogical tool. I believe it is perfect to show toddlers different types of families. Toddlers can learn that not everyone has a mommy and daddy,
there are children who have two mommies. They will learn through a book normalizing same–sex couples, showing that just because there are two
mommies it does not change
