The document describes Tallulah Frendo's plans for an online magazine called "Inter-Music" targeting teenagers and young adults aged 15-24 interested in rock and pop music. The magazine will be released weekly on tablets and have daily updates online. It will cost £5 per month for exclusive tablet content. The digital-only format aims to engage its target audience. The magazine will include interviews, fashion analyses, technology/social media articles, and music reviews/tour listings. Promotion will occur via social media with exclusive content and competitions.
2. TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience for my magazine is teenagers and young adults aged 15-24. My magazine will be
aimed at both male and female readers. The ideal reader for my magazine would be interested in live
music and possibly still in education. My magazine is going to be focused on the rock/pop genre
because in my opinion these are the two most popular genre’s in the industry. This means my magazine
will target a wider audience who enjoys modern and up to date music and information on live events and
new releases.

3. TITLE - inter-music
The title of my magazine is inter-music. I chose this title as it represents that it is online, inter (internet) also the word inter could be a representation of
being inter (in to) music.
This would appeal to my target audience and fit in with my content as it’s an informal and slang use of words which they could relate to.
The colour of the title would be a sliver grey wording with a turquoise outline in 3D to make it stand out, this would fit in with my young yet
sophisticated content.
4. GENRE
GENRE
The genre of my magazine is pop/rock, artists that I feel fit this genre in the music industry today are The 1975, Kasabian and Artic Monkeys.
WHAT MAKES MY MAGAZINE DIFFERENT?
My magazine will be different as it will be exclusive to online customers, there will be no paper copies. This will appeal more to my target audience as a
lot more young adults use online entertainment and are more internet confident being able to find and access online information. Also this would be
easier for me as a creator as I can easily monitor how many people are accessing my magazine on a daily basis. Another benefit of my magazine being
online is my content can be constantly updated to ensure that the information my audience is reading is always current.
5. COST AND FREQUENCY
HOW OFTEN IS MY MAGAZINE RELEASED
My magazine will be released weekly, which will keep the audience engaged with up to date information, it is also good value for money. My magazine
will be released on a tablet and on the inter-music website. However the content will be updated daily on the website because the tablet magazine will
only be released weekly.
COST
Thinking of my target audience, teenagers and young adults of student age (15-24) the cost needs to be reasonable and affordable. My magazine will
cost £5.00 per month which is equivalent to £1.25 per week. This means that they will have access to the tablet magazine to download, which will
contain exclusive content that you can not access on the website.
6. DIGITAL MAGAZINE
My magazine is only going to be available as a digital magazine because I feel that this is the most effective way to appeal to my target audience,
which is teenagers and young adults, aged between 15-24. This is because they would be up to date with technology, meaning this would be easily
accessible to them. This will also mean that it is easy for me, as the creator to monitor my content and understand what articles are most enjoyed by
my audience. This is because the fact that my magazine is digital would mean that I would be able to access the exact figures of how many people
have accessed and shown an interest in my magazine.
7. STYLE
Across the tablet magazine and website the style is sophisticated and clean. On my website I am going to include buzz words such as “free”
and “exclusive” to entice my audience to be interested in my content, which will increase the number of people that subscribe to my magazine.
My front cover will also include a central image that relates to the pop rock genre. The image that I use must seem natural and not be highly
edited. The artist much be wearing a simple, fairly casual outfit in order for my target audience to relate to them. I also do not want there to be a
lot of bright colouring or for the front cover to be “busy”, as in my opinion my target audience would connect more with sophisticated colour
themes, such as greys and blues and informative content rather then mindless gossip due to their age range. Short and interesting headlines
that relate to my content are essential for my website because they give my audience an insight into what the tablet magazine entails.
8. CONTENT
One type of content that I will be including in my magazine is interviews. This is because I feel that this is an effective way for my audience to gain a
deeper insight into the life of the artist that is being explored in the interview. I will also include fashion content, such as an analysis of different music
artists’ outfits. This would allow my audience to understand the meaning and representation behind the outfit that has been chosen for the artist.
Content that is based on the latest technology and social media will also be included in my magazine, as I believe this will keep my audience engaged
because this has an influence on their life in today’s society. My magazine will also include listings of tour dates and album reviews. This will ensure
that my audience could attend live music events to watch their favourite artists/ bands. The album reviews that will be included will help to increase my
audience’s music knowledge and help them to dig deeper into the music genre they enjoy.
9. ACCESS AND PROMOTION
• My magazine will be accessible on the inter-music website and there will be a tablet magazine that comes out weekly on IOS and android with
exclusive content. The magazine will have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat presence to promote the magazine. Some ways in which I
will use my social media presence to promote my magazine is by providing links to exclusive content and advertising competitions. This will enable
my audience to feel more involved with my content, as they will feel as though my magazine is being directed at them.
