Provide detailed descriptions from chosen examples that establish…
Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have
been used to create specific soundtrack elements
Setting
This cut scene implies a video showing some key events in war history such as USA
and Japan going to war (Pearl Harbour); events of world war 2 e.c.t.
I believe that the soundtrack try’s to give the
feeling of war e.g. trumpets and orchestra.
Furthermore, the soundtrack creates tension to
highlight danger and drama.
Mood
The mood of the game creates tension, excitements and drama as it is based on
war, death and danger.
The soundtrack gives the mood of war, drama,
tension. Also the music changes e.g. when the
video portrays japan; Japanese music starts to
play. This effect makes this video more detailed
and from this it creates excitement as it makes
the game sound immense. I believe the
soundtrack was computer generated and based
around actual instruments.
Game genre
This game is a first person shooter; and its action packed.
The soundtrack outlines horror as well as fear.
This is to show us that war is shocking.
Narrative
This game portrays war e.g. world war 2. Furthermore, the game tries to show us
that war is horrific and it takes the player through different locations such as
jungles, cities to indicate that war damaged many places in society.
The soundtrack seems more quite that the person
speaking. I believe that this is to make sure that
the person speaking can be heard.
