1. Promoting British Values through our Curriculum
At Colmore we seek to teach and nurture our pupil's so that they become well rounded citizens
who recognise the importance of making a positive contribution to their school, community
and the world around them.
We have developed a set of Colmore Golden Values and Manners that underpin our school
ethos and compliment the various projects, initiatives and curriculum activities that we
offer.
COLMORE’S GOLDEN VALUES…
Respectful to everyone and their beliefs
Polite
Honest and only say things that are true
Kind and helpful
A good listener- we all need to be heard
A determined learner
“Wear Our Badge with Pride”
COLMORE’S GOLDEN MANNERS…
Say please, thank you, pardon me, sorry and excuse me
Let others pass before ourselves
Welcome our visitors with a smile
Hold doors open for others
Pick up bags, books and belongings if they are on the floor
Walk around the school sensibly and quietly
“Wear Our Badge with Pride”
The Colmore Ethos mirrors the key British Values of promoting democracy, the rule of law,
a culture of tolerance and the importance of individual liberty, respecting those with
different faiths and a respect for all.
2. Collective Worship & Assemblies
Each week we have a whole school behaviour assembly that promotes one aspect of our
Colmore Golden Values and Manners. In addition, we have weekly assembly ‘themes’ and a
‘thought for the week.’ These themes are explored in Lower and Upper School Assemblies
and in individual classes.
