A celebration of knowledge...
Middle School at Rosarian Academy is engaging, stimulating, and
challenging as it makes the most of the tremendous leap in intellectual,
physical, and social growth that defines the fifth through eighth
grade years. The program maintains a rigorous curriculum that
fosters academic excellence, while accommodating and challenging
students with diverse talents and levels of maturity. Students develop
critical thinking, writing, and research skills, along with effective time
management, enabling them to tackle challenges they encounter.
They learn about respect in relationship to themselves and as part of
a larger school community. Local
field trips, national travel, guest visits,
and community service extend our
students’ education beyond the
classroom.
“What you believe, you can achieve.”
– Mary Kay Ash
6. Rosarian Academy is committed to the teachings of the
Catholic Church, while being an open community enriched by
faculty, staff, and a student body of diverse backgrounds. Our
goal is to provide our families with an education that fosters
personal and active faith in God, deep respect for intellectual
values, and social awareness that impels one to action.

Art
An appreciation of art not only inspires, but also enables students to better
communicate their ideas and feelings. Art classes allow students to showcase
their creative expression by developing their skills with a wide range of
experiences using various media. Students learn about the elements of art and
the principles of design. They explore art history, discover their appreciation for
art, and learn artistic traditions of other cultures.
Music
Elements of music provide a basic understanding of notation, rhythm, melody,
and harmony. An introduction is given to instruments of worldwide cultures,
famous composers, and great masterpieces. Through these experiences, students
learn to appreciate music. Participation in choral, band, and strings ensembles is
offered to students at various grade levels.
Drama/Theater
Rosarian students experience drama as a cocurricular offering beginning in grade
four and are welcome to join the after-school drama club once they have reached
first grade. Drama students practice scenes working from scripts and engaging in
improvisation. The theater program helps improve, empower, and nurture the
individual and develop a sense of team work and ensemble building. Two theater
productions are held each school year where students are encouraged to take
part either on stage or behind the scenes.

heart of a man go together.”

7. Rosarian Academy administration and faculty are
dedicated to the encouragement and growth of each
student. They strive to create an atmosphere where
students are challenged, motivated, and encouraged
to reach their fullest potential. Small class sizes ensure
that the individual needs of each student are met. All
faculty are degreed and certified and teaching in the
area of certification.
As partners in mission, we share in the journey...
True to the school’s philosophy, the Rosarian Academy community lives
out its faith in service to others.
Serving those in need is an integral part of life for Rosarian Academy
students. Through meaningful community service opportunities, each
student has the power to make a positive difference in the lives of others. The
Children’s House and kindergarten’s vegetable gardens promote caring for
earth, sustainability, and service as the produce helps feed the poor in our
community. Eighth-grade students visit nursing homes and children’s centers
as part of their religion class curriculum. School-wide service opportunities,
open to families and friends, occur periodically throughout the school
year. Through their actions, students realize that their own well-being is
strengthened by service to others and the wider community.

8. We welcome you to plan a visit to our campus at your convenience.
Personal tours are conducted every day that the school is open. Your
time on campus will provide the opportunity to visit the classrooms
and observe students and teachers joyfully engaged in the learning
process.
Admission to Rosarian Academy is based upon a number of criteria,
including a student’s records from previously attended schools,
standardized test results, letters of recommendation from a principal
and a teacher (or guidance counselor), and a personal interview.
All students for grades one through eight are required to spend a day
on campus (a half day for younger children). This experience is of
great value. It provides the opportunity to see firsthand life at Rosarian
Academy. Visiting students interact with other students, observe and
participate in classroom activities, and become acquainted with the
facilities and programs. During the course of the visit, an
age-appropriate entrance evaluation will be conducted.
