(open path) Gas Detector, Point Gas Detectors, Manual Call Points, Smoke/Heat

 Preparing Project Quality Plan, ITPs, Inspection & Test forms.
 Preparation of punch list and outstanding work list for follow up for implementation.

 Identifying NCRs/Defects/Snags and Follow-up with construction team for effective
Corrective & Preventive action on the same.
 Liaising with Client for Inspection Request submission and organizing Inspection.

2.  Working closely with other departments at site for effective implementation of Project
Quality Plan and ISO 9001 requirements.
 Attending Site coordination meeting with client and follow-up for Quality related issues.
 Carrying out Inspection works related to preparation of works, contract specifications,
approved construction drawings and manufacturers recommendations.
 Ensure that the work is progressing as per the approved schedule.
 Ensure implementation of all safety procedures and measures related to the nature of the
works carried out are in accordance with the approved HSE plan, safety rules and
procedures.
 To co-ordinate with client, Site supervisors and subcontractors/vendors for safe and
proper execution of works.
 To control/ maintain all the safety measures are as per client safety guidelines and
approved project HSE plan.
 Experienced in Foundation Field bus system of Yakogawa (CS 3000) and FF Instruments.
Familiar with basic fundamentals of Foundation Field bus system (Installation, Cabling,
Calibration, Loop testing etc.).
 The QC inspections coverage mainly includes electrical works such as installation of
raceway, cabling, wiring of power, installation of wiring devices, grounding system.
 Installation Inspection of electrical panel boards, small power and lighting, junction
boxes, battery charger and UPS system.
 Responsible for the QC inspection activities of all electrical installations including
wiring, termination, meggering, testing loop checking and pre-commissioning of the
systems of the electrical equipments, including cabling and wiring (Power/Control/Instr.)
L.V. and M .V. motors, switch gears, MCC, transformer, UPS system fire
detecting/alarm systems.
 Inspecting / defining related materials per Scope of Work and drawings; solving
engineering related problems and securing the approval/concurrence from concerned
engineer before execution.
 Develop Quality Control and Test Procedures for Instrument activities.
 Inspect and monitor Project Activities (Calibration, Testing, and Installation of
Instruments), cable testing (Insulation, continuity test) and all Instrument construction
activities, generate test reports and obtain approval from client.
 Interact with the construction Department and review the method statements submitted by
them for Instrumentation works.
 Prepare surveillance reports about any deficiencies in site and send to all concerned
Engineers for rectification and if no action taken transfer this to SDR / NCR after
discussion with QA/QC Manager.
 Follow client standards in the inspection and certify field construction activities.
 Act as resource base during pre-commissioning & commissioning activities for start-up.
 Prepare punch list and monitor the punch list completion
 Leading the loop checking teams, identifying the punch points to fix them ahead of walk
through with client.
 Inspect incoming materials, local / foreign purchased items, vendor supplied materials as
per specifications/tolerances and maintains inspection record of Purchase Orders (LPO /
FPO) and Mill Certificates, ensure proper unloading, storage and preservation.
 Generate Inspection rejection reports of non-conforming materials and promptly report to
Material Engineer and Procurement Departments, joint venture counter part and
quarantine the rejected material.

3.  Issue OSDR (Over, Shortage & Damage Report) upon finding any deficiency between
Packing list, Delivery report and actual received Material and send to
Materials/Procurement Departments.
 Coordinating the subcontractor construction and Inspection activities with the operations
to avoid any interference with the existing plant operations.
 Checking P&I diagrams along with isometric drawings; ensuring adherence to ISO quality
standards and documentation.
QA Activities & Reporting:
 Make sure all QC documentation is carried out as per company's Quality Policy and
Clients specification.
 Make sure all QC drawings, Documents (Soft & Hard Copy) is of latest Revision.
 Conduct internal QA Audits with QA Engineer for all QC Disciplines and co-ordinate
with QA Engineer for Third Party Audits as per ISO requirements.
 Prepare daily activity report and Incoming material inspection report at shift ends and
submit to the QA/QC Manager.
 Review mechanical completion dossier of all the non-process static & dynamic and
process dynamic systems.
Responsibilities:
 Ensuring the necessary levels of reliability in equipment and systems are reached by the
correct specification of requirements through to proper installation, commissioning and
test.
 Coordinate site installation and commissioning work to ensure strict compliance with
standards & specifications.
 Ensuring that the all electrical construction activities like installation, loop checks,
completions
and pre-commissioning of the Electric works are carried out by Contractors in
accordance with approved Procedures, Specifications, Method Statements, Project
Specifications, Project Procedures and relevant international Codes & Standards.
 Receive and review daily reports from inspectors, review the same and provide technical
guidance wherever required.
 Ensure that the documentation for certification is verified by all concerned.
 Witness Electrical Test such as Meggering/Insulation Test and High Pot Test for 64KV,
35KV, 15KV, 13.8KV & 3.3KV High ,Medium and Low Voltage, Switchgear ,Bus duct,
Power cables, Transformers and Motors.
 Functional Test of the Transformer, Motors, Switchgears, MCC, and Lighting & Power
Panels.
 Organized testing and Calibration of Gauges, Electronic / Pneumatic Transmitters,
Controllers, Switches, Indicators, Control Valves, and Shutdown / Blow-down Valves.
 Tested and commissioned Fire & Gas detection systems, including smart Fire and Gas
Detectors, Line of Sight Gas Detectors.
 Directed the loop testing and commissioning activities of Central Plant and Remote
Stations and Well Heads.
 Generated calibration & Loop checking report sheets.
 Testing and calibration of PSV’s.
 Monitored the installation of field instruments with relevant Hook-ups, conducted
Pressure / Leak tests for Instrument Air / Impulse lines.
