My First Concert
When an individual asks "What was a moment that has changed you forever", it can be extremely difficult to answer. Such a broad question brings
up many notable moments from an already large selection. If I could pick one that makes me smile every time I look back onto it. It would be the

Families eat a lot, and are therefore big consumers of concession goods, which is one of the biggest incomes at a game. We want to attract people to the
games, and families with only one child (38 percent of the households) can with this ticket bring an "extra child".
The group ticket attracts people to come together, we want friends to bring friends to the games, maybe friend who normally wouldn't go to the game.
This would also increase the concession sales.
The survey found that people don't want to pay that much for each ticket if they buy a season ticket, that's why we have chosen the season ticket prices
that we have.
Since our prices are pretty low, and most people are not willing to pay much more for grand stand seating, we haven't made special prices for these
seats.
Break–even analysis
Buckingham assumption about concession sales is that it will be about 50 percent of the revenue. We also assume that 80 percent of the tickets for
each game will be sold. Of that, 15 percent are going to be students, 15 percent will be regular tickets, 5 percent senior tickets and 2 percent child
tickets. The sale of the season ticket, 20–game and the 5–game tickets are respectively 2, 5 and 11 percent. We assume that 20 percent of tickets sold
are family packages, and the last 5 percent is group tickets.

My ticket cost was about eleven dollars because I sat in the C level, while the B level was 25 dollars, and the A level was 40 dollars for a ticket. As I
stated earlier there was a special package deal, which consisted of four C level tickets for 50 dollars because of the 50th anniversary of assembly hall.

As far as the parking goes, there must be a plan to offer a discount on public transportation with every new season ticket holder that signs up before the
next season. Also the next season should also have a series of mini packages of select concerts at a smaller rate. This would entice that group who
does enjoy the symphony but would have been most likely to have responded to the price issue on the survey.
The major weakness in the survey was not targeting the core group of subscribers that the initial decline in attendance was targeted as a problem.
Because the majority of the respondents had not been too a concert in several years, this information will do very little to discover why there has been
a loss in season ticket holders year to year. Unfortunately a separate survey must be done at the next regularly scheduled event. This survey must
concentrate on the following key areas:
1. Most important reason for attending the concerts. 2. Relative importance of cost of tickets. 3. Relative importance of musical selection. 4. Input on
how the experience can be improved.
This information should be used as a catalyst for retaining this year's core subscribers; a reward for this information should be a discount on early
purchase of next season's tickets. This should be a major goal since an early indication of next year's subscriber base will give the symphony an idea
