2. QUESTION
In some countries young people have little leisure time and are under a lot of
pressure to work hard in their studies. What do you think are the causes and
effects of this condition? Plan your response, and then write a cause or effect
essay.
THESIS STATEMENT: There are a lot serious causes of little leisure time and
under a lot of pressure to work hard in theirs studies, such as education
system competition, parental pressure, heavy studies pressure and more.

3. A lot young people nowadays don’t have much leisure time for themselves. As
we know nowadays the level of our education is really high and pressurizing.
Studying has become a pressure fact to the young people. So students nowadays
study so hard just to catch up with their studies. This causes students live in
pressure with parents, teacher and themselves and doesn’t have enough spare time
for relaxation. There are a lot serious causes of this situation, such as education
system competition, parental pressure, heavy studies pressure and more. The effect
of this problem is lack of sleep and distance relationship between people.
The first main cause is heavy studies pressure. Nowadays, parents force their
kids to studies and they didn’t let their kids to relax or rest. Some parents even
arrange a full time timetable for their kids just to let their kid to follow the schedule
and study. Beside that, parents never try to understand young people thinking now.
They just do what they like to their kids and never think of their kids feeling. Parents
should give support to their kids and arrange the time wisely for their kids and help
them if they had difficulties with their studies. Other than that, university, college or
school should also help to guide students towards the right path and balance out the
activities and academics. Sometimes, students also get pressure from their friend as
well. They have very high education competition between friends such as exam
marks, the grade of their homework and more.

4. Secondly, some parents give their kids too much pressure where parents want
to see their child succeed in everything they do and get greet career in the future.
The reason why young people get so pressure with their parents is because give
gives very high expectation to their child. Some parents send their children to
famous school, so that the result of their will be good. More than that, some parents
sent their kids to boarding school to study just because there is too much distraction
at home. Parents will send their child to extra class after school. In the old days, it is
not common that young people spend three to four at tuition class after class. That’s
the reason why, young people don’t have enough leisure time to rest and exercise.
Besides that, parents always take other people child to compare with their own child.
This situation will affect the kid heart and study even harder to reach their parents
expectation. The pressure that parents given to the kids is, parents always scold
their kids, when they did something wrong. They will think that parents think they are
stupid and stubborn. Than the pressure will increase again because get scold by the
parents.
Furthermore, the third cause is too many activities and assignment. Nowadays
assignment has become another “life” to the students. Student became so panics
when the due date is nearby. Why? Because some school assignment marks stands
50% in their grade. If the assignment marks was bad, the grade will be affect too. So
students always stay up late just to finish the assignment and get good result. School
activity is also a help to young people grades. Back in high school year, one person
at least need to participant in three activities. That the reason, student is so busy
with activities and don’t have enough leisure time.

5. In addition, the effect of this problem is lack of sleep is because of poor time
management. Student cannot arrange their time properly with their study time and
leisure time. Nowadays students stay up all night just to finish their assignment as
they want to get high marks. Sleep late will affect the body health of a person such
as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes. Young people sleep late, will also
react slow in the day time. Another effect is distance relationship between parents
and friends. Parents should show care and love to their child, so that they won’t feel
left out in the family. Sometimes parents should seat down and talk to their kids, give
them some advice.
In conclusion, young people need to have good management of time so that
they have more leisure time to have enough sleep. Parents should beware of their
child situation and take good care of their child. Young people should not waste the
beautiful time in life and regret it later. Young people deserve to have leisure and do
what they want to do.
