Richard Ramirez And The Night Stalker
Ricardo Leyva Munoz Ramirez was an infamous serial killer that went by two major alias one being
"Richard Ramirez" and the other being "The Night Stalker". This man was the person responsible
for beating, raping, and killing many people in the Los Angeles area during the mid–1980's to the
late 1980's. He was the reason for many of the people's suffering and pain that were either close
friend's to the victims, or actual family members. This sinister man was not simply born this way, he
had been influenced by many things starting from his childhood. He was influenced by two major
things in his life, he was influenced by his cousin and by something that people are influenced by
worldwide, drugs. Richard Ramirez led a very interesting life that ... Show more content on

Richard's behavior and attitude was altered and messed with many times growing up as a teen, but
one thing that could have had the greatest effects on him was one mesmerizing event that happened
to him in his early teenage years. The event that occurred happened on May 4, 1973 was a
traumatizing one that happened to Richard. Richard's uncle Miguel got angry during a domestic
argument between him and his wife, Jessie. Their already heated argument resulted in Miguel to
shoot his wife in the head with a .38 caliber. Richard being present during this incident must have
changed him drastically, because after this event he began to become cultivated in lysergic acid
diethylamide (LSD, Acid, etc.) and Satanism. This resulted in one aspect of Richard's teenage years
that were very important were his religious beliefs. Richard's beliefs were strongly oriented towards
a satanic faith towards the devil and many other related topics. His religious beliefs could have had
one of the biggest effects on him since he began practicing Satanism at a seemingly young age. Ever
since Richard came in contact into Satanism he never let go of his religion and became a stronger
believer partaking in satanic rituals and many other satanic related activities. This type of behavior
at such a young teenage year could have altered the way he thought and effect the way that he
behaved. The last thing event that helped mold Richard's behavior and decision making skills were
drugs. The drugs that Richard mainly abused were LSD and marijuana, these two drugs only had
minor effects on the human body, but could have possibly opened his eyes to more seeing the evil in
people and the bad that they were capable of. All of these events that occurred in his life lead up to
his first major criminal offense. Richard got a job while still in school at an old Holiday Inn, where
he used his passkey to

Richard Ramirez The `` Nightstalker ``
Richard Ramirez the "Nightstalker" Richard Ramirez was born in El Paso, Texas on February 29,
1960. He was the youngest of seven children born to Mercedes and Julian Ramirez. His father was
abusive and would physically harm him and the rest of his siblings if any of them did something
wrong. Richard was also diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy in the 5th grade. He later outgrew
all of his other medical ailments and was considered to be a healthy, although a hyper and
aggressive child. Richard 's childhood was very troubled and his cousin Michael. who was a
Vietnam veteran, heavily influenced his life when he was younger. Mike would share fascinating
stories with young Richard. He would tell him about the torture and mutilation he had inflicted on
several Vietnamese women, corroborating these stories with horrific Polaroid pictures. The two also
discussed Satanic worship and smoked marijuana together, and Ramirez 's teenage rebellion led him
to commit petty crimes to fuel his drug habit, which further alienated him from his Catholic parents.
As a result, he spent even more time with his cousin. When Mike murdered his wife, Ramirez was
present, sowing the final developmental seeds for the future serial killer. (Ramirez bio NP)
Ramirez's criminal record started to develop and rack up in 1977 when he was arrested for petty
crimes and was sent to juvenile detention facilities. He also received a probationary sentence for
illegal possession of marijuana in 1982. He soon moved

Lightening Research Paper
A lightening rod is a a metal rod that is used to attract lightening. Lightening rods keep dangerous
strikes of lightening from hitting other objects or people. The lightening will hit the lightening rod,
the electricity from the lightening will then travel down the rod, pass through wires and then
disburse into the ground. The purpose of this system is to prevent damage and even death during
lightening strikes.
As Christians, Why Do We Need A Lightening Rod?
Life can be hard.
People can hurt us. Deeply.
Situations can gravely disappoint us.

Did you see my earlier post on how coffee was first in my life?
When we are hurting, we leak. We are leaking emotionally all over the place. People can tell on our
faces and demeanor that something is wrong.
When someone has hurt us and we share that issue with our friends, Facebook, Twitter, and even our
women's ministry group that is called gossiping.
What if it is in the form of a prayer request? What if I go up to a friend and say "I need you to pray
for my boss.". Of course, that opens the floor for more details to be asked of me. Which may lead
the way to me leaking my emotional pain and anger all over the place.
If we are not going to God first, it's gossip.
Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down." Proverbs 26:20

occasion, that it may give grace to those that hear." Ephesians 4:29

believe that God will perfectly orchestrate the right women to come in to our lives to help us,

Serial Killers : Richard Chase Vs. Richard Ramirez
Serial Killers (Richard Chase vs. Richard Ramirez) Mrs. Stubbs–Mesumbe Business Law Nigel
Payne 11/29/15 Most serial killers do horrific crimes because of something that affected them while
they were in their childhood. Richard Ramirez Early Life Richard Ramirez was born in El Paso,
Texas, on February 29, 1960.Richard Ramirez father was a Mexican national and was also a former
Juarez policeman, who later became a laborer on the Santa Fe railroad. Richard Ramirez father
Julian Ramirez father was a hard working man who would get extremely angry, because of distress.
Because of distress he would physically abuse people in the household including Richard Ramirez.
Another person who impacted Ramirez life significantly is his older cousin Miguel Ramirez also
known as mike. Mike was a U.S. Army Green, Beret combat veteran who often bragged to Richard
Ramirez about the gruesome things he had done in the Vietnam War. Mike showed photos of his
victims including woman that he had raped. Richard Ramirez, who had been smoking marijuana
since the age of ten, formed a strong connection with his cousin mike over many joints and
gruesome war stories. Mike also taught Richard some of his military skills, such as killing with
stealth and surety. During this time of connection between the two, Richard began to seek escape
from his father's abuse by sleeping at a local cemetery. Behavior Growing up During Richard

The Life Of Richard Ramirez
The life of Richard Ramirez began on February 29, 1960 in El Paso, Texas. Born to Mercedes and
Julian Ramirez, he was the youngest of seven siblings. Growing up he had a traumatic childhood
because of an ill–tempered father that would abuse him. The environment at home continued to get
worse and would often spend the night at cemeteries to avoid his family. Consequently, he became a
loner at school and spent most of his time with his cousin Michael who was a Vietnam veteran.
However, his cousin was a psychopath, and shared horrendous stories with Richard. Michael shared
how he raped, and killed woman for entertainment while at war. His cousin would show him
pictures of severed heads of the women he killed when Richard was only twelve years old. The two
spent time smoking marijuana and according to Ramirez, his cousin taught him how to cut people,
and to shoot a gun. He also introduced him to satanic worshiping with the idea in mind that it was.
In 1973, Michael shot his wife in front of Richard; he was only thirteen years old. After that
traumatic event, Richard began to perform worse in school and eventually dropped out of high
school. During this time, his drug use increased and began using cocaine. To continue to feed his
addiction he began to break into homes and steal valuables to pawn. All of these events would cause
an everlasting effect on Richard's well–being and fuel his future criminal behavior. As time went on

Richard Webster Murder Essay
I, Detective Wilde, am being assigned the opportunity of a lifetime! Solving the murder of Richard
Webster is what's going to determine whether I receive a spotlight in the newspaper. Business has
been slow lately so this will help pick it up. Ahead of the interrogation, I gathered data on the victim
and each of the suspects. Some background research shows that the Webster Network of co–workers
are troubled: Richard, a class A jerk, Hugh, a broken businessman, Rita, in a troublesome
relationship, H.T., a misanthrope, Dee, too loyal, Del, a sloth and victim's cousin, Justin, once jailed
for computer hacking. I am going to tactfully style my questions so they will be spouting a fountain
of truth. According to my calculations, everyone who is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I looked on as Del Packard struggled with the police about getting into the car. The people who had
gathered around to watch the action asked about what had occurred and how I managed to figure it
out. I repeated the story of the murder out loud as I had practiced multiple times before in my head.
Del was worried about Rich removing him from his will taking with it the only life he knew and
treasured. He figured the only way to fix the problem was to kill. (People nowadays!) Anyway, he
had been learning and mastering the skill of mind control and decided to test it out on a fellow who
would be the least likely to be suspected. Dee! During this time, a meeting had been occurring
between Hugh, Justin, and Dee. Dee needed help to debug the system but what Justin planned was
to steal the whole program. Justin went to talk to Rita at the same time that Dee took a 'bathroom
break'. She made sure that H.T. was preoccupied and put on gloves to leave no trace behind. Mind
you, she was being manipulated by Del the whole time. Before the murder, Rita had drugged Rich
so that Justin was able to steal the program. Her reason for betrayal was because he had been the one
to break it off, leaving her the one with hurt feelings. I guess that never settles well with ferocious
sirens like her. Dee came in soon after Rita and finished up the job by strangling Rich with a mouse
cord and punching the daylight out of him. She drops the gloves underneath Hugh's bed and returns
to the meeting. It continues until everyone has returned to their places. Dee, having lost all memory
of her actions goes to ask a question from Rich. She screams and everyone runs over. And that's
where my story begins. It was quite hard to piece together the parts but when it is done, it is
refreshing! So when are those reporters going to show

Story Of An Hour Satire
There is immense power in well–written satire: it can make its audience laugh with witticisms
rooted in truths, even make them think differently about any subject, mundane or critical. Bad satire,
however, emphasizes all the wrong parts: it gets its facts wrong, goes off track, and closes its
audience's minds to any new way of thinking it might present. Li Chongyue and Wang Lihua's
article would be bad satire, a bad argument. Chongyue and Lihua's "A Caricature of an Ungrateful
and Unfaithful Wife" distorts Kate Chopin's "The Story of an Hour" through imaginative
exaggeration of character interaction, emotional ignorance, and its simplification of the characters
and the text. Firstly, there is no evidence in the text of "The Story of an Hour" to suggest that Louise
Mallard has been at all unfaithful to her husband. One sentence within the article suggests that some
readers have sensed an extramarital affair–or an attempted one–between Mrs. Mallard and Richards,
which, given its inclusion, the authors appear to agree with (Chongyue and Lihua). However,
Richards is mentioned by name in the text of the short story three times: at the beginning when he
confirmed the news of Brently Mallard's death, toward the end when he awaited Josephine and
Louise at the bottom of the staircase, and when he tries to block Louise from seeing Brently Mallard
alive as he walks in the door (Chopin). He does not even truly interact with Louise: he is described
as "near her" when she learns of

Richard Ramirez Aka The Night Stalker
Between June 1984 and August 1985, a serial killer by the name of Richard Ramirez aka " The
Night Stalker" became notorious in Southern California. Ramirez in his acts of crime would invade
houses as the victims were asleep and attack them. He murdered over 13 people and assaulted many
other. During the hunt for Ramirez citizens were on high alert so when he was fleeing the scene of
the crime a teenager noticed a suspicious vehicle and managed to get most of the license plate
number and notified the police. The police were able to find an abandoned vehicle and obtain a
finger print and match it to 25–year–old Richard Ramirez and now obtained an image of him to put

"The Grafin von Schonfeld with her Daughter" by Elizabeth Louise Vigee–LeBrun
In the University Of Arizona Museum Of Art, the Pfeiffer Gallery is displaying many art pieces of
oil on canvas paintings. These paintings are mostly portraits of people, both famous and not. They
are painted by a variety of artists of European decent and American decent between the mid 1700's
and the early 1900's. The painting by Elizabeth Louise Vigee–Lebrun caught my eye and drew me in
to look closely at its composition.

The little girl's dress gives the texture of lightness and seems like airy fabric that would be thin and
translucent. The time in this piece is very accurate of the late 1700's and when viewing it, the time
seems classic. The emphasis of this piece is mainly the mother and the daughter, however when
looking at them you are drawn into looking at their realistic eyes. The eyes seem like the focal point
which draws the viewer in to the picture.
The relationship in the painting between the mother and daughter give it a definite asymmetrical
balance and maybe a little radial balance. A radial balance because of their eyes being the central
focus, then the faces, then the holding of each other, then where they are placed on the canvas, and
then the bench and the landscape. The colors used by the painter, also creates balance with in the
picture. The wine colored dress of the mother, red sash of the daughter's dress, ruby lips, and the
rosy cheeks give a warm feeling to the central focus of the mother and daughter. The cool color of
the sky is the same as the women's eyes as well as the trees and green on the mother's dress. These
balances give unity or a unifying feeling to the painting, especially between the mother and
daughter.
The idea of this piece is to show the connection between mother and daughter being painted. It
shows the time and the classic style of the

The Necklace And The Rights To The Streets Of Memphis...
Have you ever noticed that your actions/choices affect how and where you end up in life? In the
stories, The Necklace and The rights to the Streets of Memphis the character's choices, and how well
they make them, depend on how the characters end up. While some may say the characters were
affected more by chance, the characters in The Necklace, and The Rights to the Streets of Memphis
were ultimately affected by their actions because when Richard chose to man up and stand up for
himself in front of the boys he got his money back, Richard decided he did not want to stay out in
the streets until he fought those boys just like Madame Loisel decided she did not want to live a
poor lifestyle for any longer , and Madame Loisel's greed and desire for wealth ironically caused her
to live a poor lifestyle. In the story The Necklace, Madame Loisel and her husband were poor and
not wealthy. But Madame Loisel did not enjoy being poor and wanted to live a rich and wealthy
lifestyle. While her husband did not mind living the poor lifestyle they lived and did not care if they
were rich or not. In the story her husband got both of them an invitation to a party and needed a nice
outfit and jewels to wear but Madame Loisel had neither. So they both decided to borrow some of
Madame Forestier's jewels. They lost the necklace before they could return it to Madame Forestier
and decided to buy a real diamond necklace for 30,000 francs (which they could not afford) instead
of confessing to

During his teenage years, Ramirez committed a staggering amount of misdemeanors and felonies
that consisted of possession, breaking and entering, theft, and auto theft. Once the teenager grew
into his adult years, he still performed misdemeanors; however, the felonies became more deadly
and sadistic. Around 28 victims unfortunately encountered him. Some of the people from the 28
experienced horrible events, but they were able to live through his discretion. However, thirteen to
fourteen other people died by his hand. Some of them experienced quick deaths, while others were
not so fortunate. The method he used to "pick" his victims resembled an animal on the hunt for prey.

In June 28, 1984, Jennie Vincow, elderly woman of age seventy–nine, lived in Glassell Park, Los
Angeles. His first intention was to steal her valuables; however, when he found nothing to take, he
attacked Vincrow with rage. The man stabbed the woman repeatedly in the chest and slashed her
throat from ear to ear (Carlo, 1996). He then had intercourse with her body (Richard Ramirez: The
Night Stalker, n.d.). Her son, Jack Vincow, discovered his mother's body later that day and called the
police. The evidence at the scene included blood in the sink and fingerprints on the window that he
used to enter the woman's apartment. For a couple months, he stayed dormant, but he resumed his
criminal streak in the next year.
His next set of crimes occurred on March 17, 1985 with Maria Hernandez, and Dayle Okazaki, first,
then Veronica Yu soon after (The People v. Richard Ramirez, 2006). While he drove around, he

A disorganized serial killer is not normally handsome and are loners. Additionally, disorganized
serial killers don't choose their victims logically. In the movie Ramirez chose his victims randomly.
His first attack was on a woman who was entering her garage. Ramirez shot the woman but she was
not hurt and then he proceeded to kill her roommate. He attacked a couple in their home. His crimes
were frightening because they had no pattern. Ramirez's victims were random ones of chance and
opportunity. A disorganized serial killer also uses public transportation or a beat up car. Ramirez
used public transportation when he went to visit his brother in Arizona. He also took the bus when
he was trying to evade the police. Ramirez didn't own a car, he stole orange Toyota hatchbacks to
drive. He also shows characteristics of an organized serial killer. Organized serial killers plan their
attack and patrol an area. Ramirez planned his attacks in at least a modest way, selecting homes that
he felt he could enter without being seen or immediately heard. Also, serial killers carry a torture kit.
Ramirez would often bring his own weapons and carry them in a black bag.
A method of operation is a learned behavior. The MO is what the perpetrator does to commit the
crime. Ramirez exploited the night. The movie demonstrated Ramirez's MO which was to break into

The Iceman: Richard Kuklinski Richard Kuklinski was an incredibly cold–blooded man. He had at
least 100 confirmed kills, and claims to have around 200 total. Richard has a very horrible
childhood. Richard liked to torture and kill animals as a little boy. His father abused him and his
brothers, one of which was killed from the abuse received from Stanley. Stanley's brother, Joseph,
was pretty messed up, too. He probably would've turned out to be a serial killer himself. Kuklinski
himself wasn't like Ramirez or Dahmer, or any other serial killer for that matter. Kuklinski was an
evil man, with a ton of interesting information about him out there. Richard's childhood flat out
sucked, it was horrible. The second child of 4, Kuklinski was born in 1935 in Jersey city, New
Jersey. Richard's mother was, for the most part, a loving mother who was also a devout catholic.
Richard's father, Stanley, worked on the railroads. Stanley loved him a sip of some jack daniels,
well, maybe not just a sip... Stanley was an alcoholic. Stanley beat Richard, and his other sons when
he wasn't drunk, and when he was drunk it apparently wasn't any worse than when he wasn't. All of
Stanley's beatings were brutal. One of Stanley's sons, Florian, died from being beaten too brutally by

A Brief Description of Alex Rodriguez
The star third–baseman, the man with the incredible swing, and the quarter billion dollar man. All
these things can be used to describe Alex Rodriguez but now you can add cheater, liar, and drug
abuser. Alex Rodriguez, also known as A–Rod, has been involved in an investigation going on for
over a year about his use of performance–enhancing steroids. Starting on January 29th, 2013 Alex
Rodriguez's name was included in an article by the Miami New Times that link him to Biogenesis,
an anti–aging clinic that had been discovered to be supplying MLB players with performance–
enhancing drugs. Rodriguez, along with star right fielder Ryan Braun and 17 others, became part of
the longest doping suspension in history. All of the other players accepted the 50–60 game
suspensions, but Rodriguez would receive an unprecedented 211 game suspension. This caused
Rodriguez to appeal.
The MLB released the following statement explaining the extended suspension of Rodriguez. "For
use and possession of numerous forms of prohibited performance–enhancing drugs substances,
including Testosterone and Human Growth Hormone, over the course of multiple years. For
attempting to cover–up his violations of the Program by engaging in a course of conduct intended to
obstruct and frustrate the Office of the Commissioners suspension." Rodriguez announced that he
would continue his appeal. When the hearing for Rodriguez's case began on September 30th 2013,

RICHARD RAMIREZ – THE NIGHT STALKER Case Details: Richard Ramirez was an American
serial Killer also known as the 'Night Stalker'. Richard Ramirez, during his youth, was a satanic
worshipper and a habitual drug user. Richard Ramirez's influences: Richard Ramirez, during this
time, would often smoke marijuana with his cousin while talking about the war and the savageness
that took place in Vietnam. One day, in retaliation to complaints made by his wife that he was lazy,
Mike (Richard Ramirez's) cousin shot his wife in the face with Richard Ramirez standing just a few
feet away. Because of his veteran status, Mike was sentenced to only seven years in prison for the
savage killing. By the time Richard Ramirez reached 18, he was a habitual drug user and Satan
worshipper. While addicted to drugs, Richard Ramirez toiled in petty crimes that eventually grew
more severe in nature; in the beginning of his menacing run, Richard Ramirez was arrested on
numerous drug and theft charges. Richard Ramirez's turn to Pure Evil: After being arrested for the
crimes mentioned before, Richard Ramirez upon being released, eventually moved to Southern
California, where he advanced to armed robbery and breaking into homes. When Richard Ramirez
became a proficient criminal, he began to linger in the homes of his victims. On June 28, 1984,

with his .22 handgun. Later that same night Ramirez drove to Sun Valley where he broke into the

to rape and beat Somkid. He traveled to Northridge on August 6th, 1985 and broke into the home of
Chris and Virginia Peterson. He snuck into the bedroom and tried shooting both of them. Fortunately
Chris fought Ramirez back and Ramirez fled the scene. Both Chris and Virginia survived the attack.
Two days later on August 8th, 1985 he drove a stolen car to Diamond Bar and picked the home of
Elyas and Sakina Abowath. He snuck into their bedroom where he quickly shot and killed Elyas
then handcuffed, beat and raped Sakina several times. Later that month, Ramirez committed his last
known murder. He broke into the home of William Carns and his fiancée Inez Erickson. Just like the
previous murders, he went into the bedroom and shot William three times in the head. He then went
after Inez. He beat and tied her up raped her. She was later able to untie herself and get help for
William who survived his injuries. She told police that when he left he told her to "tell them the

he portrayed many similar traits as the other killers we have learned about such as John Wayne Gacy

that would go right back to killing if let out. While this is true, Kuklinski realized that he had hurt
his family. He stated that he realized this and it was the only thing he would change. Kuklinski did
many things that were worse to set himself apart from the other killers we have learned about.
The first thing that sets Richard Kuklinski apart is the fact that he has no conscience. Over and over
again he killed based on the fact he was just told to. When asked in the interview why he killed and
if he would if there was no reason to, he said, "yeah, I really did not have a reason to, and I just did
it because." With a slight grin on his face, he said he would kill for no reason. That really shows
through as a pure psycho. Even worse than saying he would do it for no reason was when he
described some of the times he killed this way. At one point in the interview, the Iceman described
one of his most heartless

Richard III: Transformative task
Note for parents
For the parent/s of the child who now owns Richard III: a children's novel.
I decided to convert Shakespeare's Richard III into a children's book due to how much Shakespeare's
Richard intrigues me and the moral lessons that I believe a child can learn from his story.
In Shakespeare's play, Richard is portrayed as a Machiavel, he is unapologetically manipulative yet
a smooth–talker with a sense of humour. This combination of characteristics, along with
Shakespeare's use of asides to make the audience confidants to Richard's scheming, evokes an
attraction to his character which lasts until his murder–filled to–do list becomes seemingly never
ending. The connection between the audience and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

They all started at once. White versus Red.
The first clue led them to clue number two.
Richie would not let the white team lose.
Then it was on to clue number three.
Richie grinned and laughed, expressing his glee.
Then clue number four. Then clue number five.
Richie helped out to let the white team thrive.
The Whites worked together to get out in front.
The Whites worked to give the red team the punt.
Yet, clue number six had stumped the white team.
The red team already figured it out!
Richie was puzzled, but began to scheme.
Then suddenly! He went over to Annie!
Richie smiled so sweet and asked so nicely.
Richie convinced her to reveal the clue!
Now both teams were even again.
But Annie was ¬¬¬¬excluded; the red team betrayed.
Clue seven, clue eight, now to an obstacle.
Clue number nine was atop the pine.
White team and red team both needed to climb.

Richie was annoyed, and began to scheme.
Richie pushed Hasti, who grabbed on to Clare.

Analysis Of We Wear The Mask In Richard Cory
Ever since 1600s when William Shakespeare described the whole world as "a stage" and "all the
men and women merely players", the idea of people wearing masks and hiding their true feelings
has been present in literature in one way or another. In the late 1800s, Paul Laurence Dunbar
publishes "We wear the mask", a poem that focuses on people hiding their true feelings from others
and everyone can relate. Unlike Dunbar who talks about different kinds of emotional masks people
use, Edwin Arlington Robinson uses his "Richard Cory" to draw attention to a mask of money and
success, which makes the average people ("we people") admire and idealize the successful person
(Richard Cory) only because we do not know and do not even try to see what is hidden behind the
mask. In just 4 stanzas and 16 lines, Edwin Arlington Robinson tells a meaningful and timeless story
about misfortune of Richard Cory, a person behind the mask of money and success who seemingly
has everything anyone could wish for. Robinson starts the first stanza with a description of Richard
Cory's appearance and a clear distinction between the two sides, Richard Cory and "we people". The
speaker mentions Richard Cory in the first line without any introduction, which means that everyone
should know who Richard Cory was, so the introduction is not needed. Furthermore, whenever
Richard would come to downtown, "we people of the pavement" admired him. The people of the
pavement or people from the streets of the downtown,

father Julian Ramirez. His father was a Mexican–American railway worker who very often let out
his anger in physical abuse (biography.com, 2016). Ramirez had quite a troubled childhood; many
described him as a loner in school (WordPress, 2010). In the fifth grade, he was diagnosed with
temporal lobe epilepsy, causing him to have constant seizures. He was considered to be a hyper and
aggressive child. As a teenager, Richard began to use LSD, and started worshipping Satan. He also
started smoking marijuana at the age of 10, along with his older cousin Mike. Even though Richard

caused brain malfunction due to improper hormone release. Men with high levels of testosterone
often rape women in anger or desperation. However, Ramirez gained satisfaction from his suffering

proves that there was definitely some type of psychological issue, because a man with a normal
brain and conscience would be able to control his anger enough to stop himself when he realized
how severely the victim was suffering. Ramirez's malfunctioning brain deprived him of a
conscience. Therefore, his lack of conscience and uncontrollable testosterone resulted in his violent

Do Athletes Use Steroid?
Many people may not know what performance enhancing drugs or PED are and what they do on
athletes. When people talk about PED they assume that they are steroids or some type of growth
hormone. However, performance enhancing drug is anything that is taken by an athlete to improve
their skills. PED mostly refers to anabolic steroids use in sports by either professionals or amateur
athletes. People all over the world uses PED. Starting from high school, college, and even to
professional careers. PED such as steroids should not be accepted in sports because of
sportsmanship, unfair advantage, and permanent damages and health risk to their body. The most

We watch sports because we want to see the players at its finest. For example, Robinson claims that
people are willing to pay good money just to see the best athletes to play. PED's are the main reason
why the players on the field are worth watching. Even though the economy is tough and tickets are
expensive, people are still willing to watch sports to satisfy their needs to expect something unique
out of the players. Another example that benefited the economy despite the use of PED are Mark
McGwire and Sammy Sosa, who rivaled sixty–one home runs in 1998. Their achievements are still
known by people even though they used PED to earn the sixty–one home runs. Additionally, people
who fund Olympics expect the best players of their country to compete and win against other
players around the world. For example, "Australia spent $547 million on sport funding, with $13.8
million just to send the Olympic team to Athens" (Savulescu, J). People are willing to spend as
much money as possible just to send their best athletes to compete with other athletes. In other
words, PED's are beneficial for the economy because the wealthy people will pay for the athletes

The album's title Any Port in a Storm is an idiom: sailors thankful for a place of safety when
dangerous gales arise. It is a fairly common expression. Many have, or are, dealing with the
challenges of finding a safe, comfortable place to rest. We all need to feel that we belong, that we
are accepted. Social norms and themes such as the ones expressed in this album are generally
positive, but at a point may lead to negative pressure. When social norms suggest that you drink to
fit in, the expressions are no longer beneficial. Finding safety in a port that harbingers drugs and
alcohol may be harmful. According to a scientific journal by accredited health professionals, "The

abuse.

the band struggling and the other two relaxing together, looking for their port in the storm. The lead
singer and guitarist are working and the other band members are basking in the sunny success. If

The media gave him the name the "Night Stalker" when he was on his vicious rampage of forcing
himself into the homes of his victims late at night and committing his heinous crimes. Though he
was only convicted of thirteen murders, he had many more victims. His crimes were so random,
disorganized, and impulsive that the law enforcement officials of Los Angeles had no luck finding
Ramirez for months as he grew increasingly more violent. (Tripod.com, 2012) Finally, in August of

Is Gentrification A Good Thing But Withal Deplorable?
Gentrification is a very popular topic on whether the fact that it's a good thing and or a bust for
neighborhoods. It's not only a moral in society, it's happening around everyone. As Urban
communities are being affected, homes being destroyed and bought out by the government, residents
are faced with the struggle to stay in a home and not be relocated. A man named Justin Davidson, a
music critic and a background for architecture, knows a bit about this topic. With his knowledge
about architecture, he gives a speech, "Is Gentrification All Bad" and he understands how
gentrification is good but withal deplorable. Davidson gives statistics backing up his justifiable
answer. He gives plenty of reasons from other sources about the pros and cons, but his own personal
belief is that gentrification can be good. With that, Davidson intends to speak to the people of
neighborhoods who think that they need this type of improvement. Personally, I don't think I'm a
part of the attended audience because my neighborhood is well developed and displayable.
Davidson isn't afraid to show the good and bad about his beliefs on gentrification. He even says in
his essay, "Yet gentrification can be either a toxic or a balm," Davidson explains that statement by
stating that some neighborhoods can upscale in a fast way and prices sky rocketing, not letting
former citizens have a chance to reside there. Also, he explains how there's a slower rate in which
gentrification increases and could take

Richard Ramirez. Mike taught Richard that it was alright to hurt and kill people. Richard was not
born with the sense that killing people was socially acceptable. He learned this by watching Mike

Serial Killer Richard Ramirez
Crescendo of Terror
Late in the 20th Century, Hell glutted on humanity. Its first bloodletting of that season of the Devil
occurred on the warm evening of June 28, 1984, when an earth–bound Lucifer found his way into
the small Glassel Park apartment of 79–year–old Jennie

when the evening came and the temperature slightly cooled, Jennie left her window open to invite

All they knew of him was what Hernandez was able to tell them: He was tall, gaunt, dark, maybe

This time, the killer didn't wait nearly a year to murder again. He struck within the hour. His next
victim that same evening was petite
Taiwanese–born Tsai–Lian Yu, who, driving her yellow Chevrolet down North Alhambra Avenue in
nearby Monterey Park, withered when someone with the eyes of a madman forced his way into her
car and shot her. He had thrown his own car into idle, simply entered hers, pushed her onto the
pavement, called her bitch, then blew her into eternity at point–blank range.
Fast. Neat. Clean.
Then dematerialized into the darkness from whence he came.
Child's play.
The police were beginning to realize they might have a problem on their hands, but they remained

Ten days later, this elusive phantom –– whose physical description could fit any one of thousands of

quite satisfy the urge; the demon must have been hungry, he must have been frantic, for when he

baseball fans to question his contribution to the sport as they further learn the details about his
extensive use of steroids over the course of recent history.
Student Insight
Alex Rodriguez has faced a lengthy amount of criticism primarily due to the way the situation was
handled. One of the ways he tried combatting the allegations was to deny it in front of the public and
criticize the MLB for trying to portray him as cheater. According to a CNN article written by Ray
Sanchez, "Rodriguez claims he was the target of an MLB witch hunt" (Sanchez, 2014). He
consistently stood by this position making him look like a victim of career sabotage. This was a poor

Richard Ramirez Death Penalty Analysis
Death Penalty Serial killer Richard Ramirez also known as the night stalker, committed thirteen
murders and thirty counts of attempted murder, rape, sodomy, and burglary during 1984 and 1985 in
the Los Angeles region. He received his nickname by breaking into people's houses at night, he was
also known as the "Walk–in Killer". Ramirez's crimes were brutal, one victim's eyes were gauged
out, one beaten to death, another victim beaten with a tire iron, and then raped an eight–year–old
boy after seeing his father being murdered. It took twenty–two days for the jury to deliberate, his
sentence, the death penalty. Today, the debate on whether or not the death penalty should be restored
is being viewed by each state, this is due to the rise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because of these incidents death sentence were carried out by lethal injections making it painless for
the individual but this did not change some opinion of the death penalty. He questions why they are
against capital punishment, Is it the method of the death penalty that bothers them, or is it the act of
putting a person to death that they consider to be barbaric? David Bruck, attorney, disagrees with
Edward Koch, that the death penalty "affirms life" (1985). David Bruck uses the example of the
execution of Joseph Carl Shaw (page 1)
Carl Shaw was convicted for assisting in the murders of two teenagers, he was a Military Police at
Ft. Jackson South Carolina; he was given the death penalty. Shaw was proven to have mental health
issues and at the time was on an illegal drug, PCP, his last words was ("Killing was wrong when I
did it, It is wrong when you do it"). Another example used by Bruck, Alvin Ford, convicted of
killing a cop, he has been on death row for years and during that time has lost his mind, he now
spends his days rocking back and forth, and muttering unintelligible

Richard's behavior and attitude was altered and messed with many times growing up as a teen, but one thing that could have had the greatest effects on him was one mesmerizing event that happened to him in his early teenage years. The event that occurred happened on May 4, 1973 was a traumatizing one that happened to Richard. Richard's uncle Miguel got angry during a domestic argument between him and his wife, Jessie. Their already heated argument resulted in Miguel to shoot his wife in the head with a .38 caliber. Richard being present during this incident must have changed him drastically, because after this event he began to become cultivated in lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD, Acid, etc.) and Satanism. This resulted in one aspect of Richard's teenage years that were very important were his religious beliefs. Richard's beliefs were strongly oriented towards a satanic faith towards the devil and many other related topics. His religious beliefs could have had one of the biggest effects on him since he began practicing Satanism at a seemingly young age. Ever since Richard came in contact into Satanism he never let go of his religion and became a stronger believer partaking in satanic rituals and many other satanic related activities. This type of behavior at such a young teenage year could have altered the way he thought and effect the way that he behaved. The last thing event that helped mold Richard's behavior and decision making skills were drugs. The drugs that Richard mainly abused were LSD and marijuana, these two drugs only had minor effects on the human body, but could have possibly opened his eyes to more seeing the evil in people and the bad that they were capable of. All of these events that occurred in his life lead up to his first major criminal offense. Richard got a job while still in school at an old Holiday Inn, where he used his passkey to ... He was the youngest of seven children born to Mercedes and Julian Ramirez. His father was abusive and would physically harm him and the rest of his siblings if any of them did something wrong. Richard was also diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy in the 5th grade. He later outgrew all of his other medical ailments and was considered to be a healthy, although a hyper and aggressive child. Richard 's childhood was very troubled and his cousin Michael. who was a Vietnam veteran, heavily influenced his life when he was younger. Mike would share fascinating stories with young Richard. He would tell him about the torture and mutilation he had inflicted on several Vietnamese women, corroborating these stories with horrific Polaroid pictures. The two also discussed Satanic worship and smoked marijuana together, and Ramirez 's teenage rebellion led him to commit petty crimes to fuel his drug habit, which further alienated him from his Catholic parents. As a result, he spent even more time with his cousin. When Mike murdered his wife, Ramirez was present, sowing the final developmental seeds for the future serial killer. The lightening will hit the lightening rod, the electricity from the lightening will then travel down the rod, pass through wires and then disburse into the ground. The purpose of this system is to prevent damage and even death during lightening strikes. As Christians, Why Do We Need A Lightening Rod? Life can be hard. People can hurt us. Deeply. Growing up he had a traumatic childhood because of an ill–tempered father that would abuse him. The environment at home continued to get worse and would often spend the night at cemeteries to avoid his family. Consequently, he became a loner at school and spent most of his time with his cousin Michael who was a Vietnam veteran. However, his cousin was a psychopath, and shared horrendous stories with Richard. Michael shared how he raped, and killed woman for entertainment while at war. His cousin would show him pictures of severed heads of the women he killed when Richard was only twelve years old. The two spent time smoking marijuana and according to Ramirez, his cousin taught him how to cut people, and to shoot a gun. He also introduced him to satanic worshiping with the idea in mind that it was. In 1973, Michael shot his wife in front of Richard; he was only thirteen years old. • 14. Richard Webster Murder Essay I, Detective Wilde, am being assigned the opportunity of a lifetime! Solving the murder of Richard Webster is what's going to determine whether I receive a spotlight in the newspaper. Business has been slow lately so this will help pick it up. Ahead of the interrogation, I gathered data on the victim and each of the suspects. Some background research shows that the Webster Network of co–workers are troubled: Richard, a class A jerk, Hugh, a broken businessman, Rita, in a troublesome relationship, H.T., a misanthrope, Dee, too loyal, Del, a sloth and victim's cousin, Justin, once jailed for computer hacking. I am going to tactfully style my questions so they will be spouting a fountain of truth. According to my calculations, everyone who is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I looked on as Del Packard struggled with the police about getting into the car. The people who had gathered around to watch the action asked about what had occurred and how I managed to figure it out. I repeated the story of the murder out loud as I had practiced multiple times before in my head. Del was worried about Rich removing him from his will taking with it the only life he knew and treasured. He figured the only way to fix the problem was to kill. (People nowadays!) Anyway, he had been learning and mastering the skill of mind control and decided to test it out on a fellow who would be the least likely to be suspected. Dee! During this time, a meeting had been occurring between Hugh, Justin, and Dee. Dee needed help to debug the system but what Justin planned was to steal the whole program. Justin went to talk to Rita at the same time that Dee took a 'bathroom break'. She made sure that H.T. was preoccupied and put on gloves to leave no trace behind. Mind you, she was being manipulated by Del the whole time. Before the murder, Rita had drugged Rich so that Justin was able to steal the program. Her reason for betrayal was because he had been the one to break it off, leaving her the one with hurt feelings. I guess that never settles well with ferocious sirens like her. Dee came in soon after Rita and finished up the job by strangling Rich with a mouse cord and punching the daylight out of him. She drops the gloves underneath Hugh's bed and returns to the meeting. It continues until everyone has returned to their places. Dee, having lost all memory of her actions goes to ask a question from Rich. She screams and everyone runs over. And that's where my story begins. It was quite hard to piece together the parts but when it is done, it is refreshing! So when are those reporters going to show ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 16. Story Of An Hour Satire There is immense power in well–written satire: it can make its audience laugh with witticisms rooted in truths, even make them think differently about any subject, mundane or critical. Bad satire, however, emphasizes all the wrong parts: it gets its facts wrong, goes off track, and closes its audience's minds to any new way of thinking it might present. Li Chongyue and Wang Lihua's article would be bad satire, a bad argument. Chongyue and Lihua's "A Caricature of an Ungrateful and Unfaithful Wife" distorts Kate Chopin's "The Story of an Hour" through imaginative exaggeration of character interaction, emotional ignorance, and its simplification of the characters and the text. Firstly, there is no evidence in the text of "The Story of an Hour" to suggest that Louise Mallard has been at all unfaithful to her husband. One sentence within the article suggests that some readers have sensed an extramarital affair–or an attempted one–between Mrs. Mallard and Richards, which, given its inclusion, the authors appear to agree with (Chongyue and Lihua). However, Richards is mentioned by name in the text of the short story three times: at the beginning when he confirmed the news of Brently Mallard's death, toward the end when he awaited Josephine and Louise at the bottom of the staircase, and when he tries to block Louise from seeing Brently Mallard alive as he walks in the door (Chopin). He does not even truly interact with Louise: he is described as "near her" when she learns of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

ART CRITICISM PAPER ART CRITICISM PAPER "The Grafin von Schonfeld with her Daughter" by Elizabeth Louise Vigee–LeBrun In the University Of Arizona Museum Of Art, the Pfeiffer Gallery is displaying many art pieces of oil on canvas paintings. These paintings are mostly portraits of people, both famous and not. They are painted by a variety of artists of European decent and American decent between the mid 1700's and the early 1900's. The painting by Elizabeth Louise Vigee–Lebrun caught my eye and drew me in to look closely at its composition. "The Grafin von Scholfeld with her Daughter" is oil on canvas art piece painted in 1793. The little girl's dress gives the texture of lightness and seems like airy fabric that would be thin and translucent. The time in this piece is very accurate of the late 1700's and when viewing it, the time seems classic. The emphasis of this piece is mainly the mother and the daughter, however when looking at them you are drawn into looking at their realistic eyes. The eyes seem like the focal point which draws the viewer in to the picture. The relationship in the painting between the mother and daughter give it a definite asymmetrical balance and maybe a little radial balance. A radial balance because of their eyes being the central focus, then the faces, then the holding of each other, then where they are placed on the canvas, and then the bench and the landscape. The colors used by the painter, also creates balance with in the picture. The wine colored dress of the mother, red sash of the daughter's dress, ruby lips, and the rosy cheeks give a warm feeling to the central focus of the mother and daughter. The cool color of the sky is the same as the women's eyes as well as the trees and green on the mother's dress. These balances give unity or a unifying feeling to the painting, especially between the mother and daughter. The idea of this piece is to show the connection between mother and daughter being painted. It shows the time and the classic style of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the stories, The Necklace and The rights to the Streets of Memphis the character's choices, and how well they make them, depend on how the characters end up. While some may say the characters were affected more by chance, the characters in The Necklace, and The Rights to the Streets of Memphis were ultimately affected by their actions because when Richard chose to man up and stand up for himself in front of the boys he got his money back, Richard decided he did not want to stay out in the streets until he fought those boys just like Madame Loisel decided she did not want to live a poor lifestyle for any longer , and Madame Loisel's greed and desire for wealth ironically caused her to live a poor lifestyle. In the story The Necklace, Madame Loisel and her husband were poor and not wealthy. But Madame Loisel did not enjoy being poor and wanted to live a rich and wealthy lifestyle. While her husband did not mind living the poor lifestyle they lived and did not care if they were rich or not. In the story her husband got both of them an invitation to a party and needed a nice outfit and jewels to wear but Madame Loisel had neither. So they both decided to borrow some of Madame Forestier's jewels. They lost the necklace before they could return it to Madame Forestier and decided to buy a real diamond necklace for 30,000 francs (which they could not afford) instead of confessing to ... He had at least 100 confirmed kills, and claims to have around 200 total. Richard has a very horrible childhood. Richard liked to torture and kill animals as a little boy. His father abused him and his brothers, one of which was killed from the abuse received from Stanley. Stanley's brother, Joseph, was pretty messed up, too. He probably would've turned out to be a serial killer himself. Kuklinski himself wasn't like Ramirez or Dahmer, or any other serial killer for that matter. Richard Ramirez, during his youth, was a satanic worshipper and a habitual drug user. Richard Ramirez's influences: Richard Ramirez, during this time, would often smoke marijuana with his cousin while talking about the war and the savageness that took place in Vietnam. One day, in retaliation to complaints made by his wife that he was lazy, Mike (Richard Ramirez's) cousin shot his wife in the face with Richard Ramirez standing just a few feet away. Because of his veteran status, Mike was sentenced to only seven years in prison for the savage killing. By the time Richard Ramirez reached 18, he was a habitual drug user and Satan worshipper. Characteristics Of Richard Kuklinski Sutton Magee Ms. Dixon Criminal Justice 3, 7th period 24 October 2017 IceMan Essay The "IceMan," also known as Richard Kuklinski, is a different breed of killer. While he portrayed many similar traits as the other killers we have learned about such as John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer, the iceman had a certain trait that set him apart: no heart or conscience. When watching the interview by American Justice I realized that Kuklinski was aware of what he had done but was neither mad nor disappointed by the things he had done. He is a prime example of someone that would go right back to killing if let out. While this is true, Kuklinski realized that he had hurt his family. He stated that he realized this and it was the only thing he would change. Kuklinski did many things that were worse to set himself apart from the other killers we have learned about. The first thing that sets Richard Kuklinski apart is the fact that he has no conscience. Over and over again he killed based on the fact he was just told to. When asked in the interview why he killed and if he would if there was no reason to, he said, "yeah, I really did not have a reason to, and I just did it because." With a slight grin on his face, he said he would kill for no reason. That really shows through as a pure psycho. Even worse than saying he would do it for no reason was when he described some of the times he killed this way. At one point in the interview, the Iceman described one of his most heartless ... • 43. Analysis Of We Wear The Mask In Richard Cory Ever since 1600s when William Shakespeare described the whole world as "a stage" and "all the men and women merely players", the idea of people wearing masks and hiding their true feelings has been present in literature in one way or another. In the late 1800s, Paul Laurence Dunbar publishes "We wear the mask", a poem that focuses on people hiding their true feelings from others and everyone can relate. Unlike Dunbar who talks about different kinds of emotional masks people use, Edwin Arlington Robinson uses his "Richard Cory" to draw attention to a mask of money and success, which makes the average people ("we people") admire and idealize the successful person (Richard Cory) only because we do not know and do not even try to see what is hidden behind the mask. In just 4 stanzas and 16 lines, Edwin Arlington Robinson tells a meaningful and timeless story about misfortune of Richard Cory, a person behind the mask of money and success who seemingly has everything anyone could wish for. Robinson starts the first stanza with a description of Richard Cory's appearance and a clear distinction between the two sides, Richard Cory and "we people". The speaker mentions Richard Cory in the first line without any introduction, which means that everyone should know who Richard Cory was, so the introduction is not needed. Furthermore, whenever Richard would come to downtown, "we people of the pavement" admired him. The people of the pavement or people from the streets of the downtown, ... It's not only a moral in society, it's happening around everyone. As Urban communities are being affected, homes being destroyed and bought out by the government, residents are faced with the struggle to stay in a home and not be relocated. A man named Justin Davidson, a music critic and a background for architecture, knows a bit about this topic. With his knowledge about architecture, he gives a speech, "Is Gentrification All Bad" and he understands how gentrification is good but withal deplorable. Davidson gives statistics backing up his justifiable answer. He gives plenty of reasons from other sources about the pros and cons, but his own personal belief is that gentrification can be good. With that, Davidson intends to speak to the people of neighborhoods who think that they need this type of improvement. Personally, I don't think I'm a part of the attended audience because my neighborhood is well developed and displayable. Davidson isn't afraid to show the good and bad about his beliefs on gentrification. He even says in his essay, "Yet gentrification can be either a toxic or a balm," Davidson explains that statement by stating that some neighborhoods can upscale in a fast way and prices sky rocketing, not letting former citizens have a chance to reside there.
