INVENTORY IS A NECESSARY EVIL. EXPLAIN
An Inventory is basically about keeping a check of how many goods are in stock, what they
are, whether they are still necessary or alternatively in the case of perishables, whether they
are to be written off as wastage.
In addition to this holding inventory maximizes the use of any physical storage space
available, keeping hold of popular stock and letting go of unwanted, damaged or out of date
goods. This leads to a situation where the businesses inventory will be optimized and may
actually save money in the long run.
WHAT IS GRT?
Gross Registered Tonnes is the internal volume of the ship, whether it was available for profitable
use or not.Gross registered tonnes (GRT) are a measurement of ship weight.
'Gross Register Tonnage' (GRT) was a measure of the total internal capacity of the ship consisting of:
under-deck volume excluding double-bottoms, volume of tween deck spaces, volume of superstructures,
volume of deck-houses etc
Net Registered Tonnage was the internal volume of the ship that was available for passengers
and/or freight.

denoting that they both maximize the freight transported through the canal, and that they are the
biggest ships able to pass through the canal.
