Fun Guy Monologue
I will infect you huuummanns! Oh hello I am Fun–Guy I'm a Fungi I can cause many pains to your
body and also give you sickness. I like to infect places that are wet. The immune system will try to
attack me but usually fails. Suckers you can't attack me. Ha! Now its time to infect. I am going to try
and cause a unlucky person athletes foot. Now that I am giving them a rash they are going to notice
me and call a doctor for some anti–fungal meds. Boy I sure do hate that stuff. As the person who is
named John goes to the doctor I hear the doctor say" thats a pretty nasty fungus son." Yes, I the
fungus have finally made someone have "the nasties." Oh no, this is the time I should spread, Dr.
Dreadful is giving John anti–fungal medication. I have a plan. As he is thinking out loud the
unsuspected pinky toe is listening. Once Fun–Guy finishes his evil plan Pinky Toe tells the doctors
Pinky Toe that Fun–Guy's plan is to jump on Dr. Dreadful when he gives John the meds. Dr.
Dreadful has to wait for the anti–fungal meds to arrive and he sends John home. The medicine has

Fun–Guy was inhaled and he was thrown down the esophagus. He had been inhaled into Dewey's
lungs. This was great news for Fun–Guy because he had gotten into a human. After a few days Fun–
Guy had caused serious problems to Dewey's chest. He heard Dewey shouting "dad this burn hurts
so bad and this rash is killing me." Now Fun–Guy knew that he had done his job and caused pain to
innocent humans, but he was satisfied because he had done his job. Now all he had to do was wait
for Dewey to cough and he would be inhaled again. Now that Fun–Guy's job was done he was able
to start exploring the area he was in. He saw that it was very dark and musty. He reached around his
moldy pockets and found a small flashlight. When he turned it on he saw that he was in an area of
plain pink. The area he was in was a very small and dull area inside of the left

How To Write A Narrative Essay On The Odyssey
" Thanks, grandma!" exclaimed Haley cheerfully, " I'm looking forward to a book full of adventure
and pirates!" She skipped outside with a big smile on her face. the book wasn't really that appealing.
It had been torn and had patches of grey. It smelt like old grandmas too and was extremely dusty.
Haley didn't mind, she liked the book. Haley turned the first page of the book, it was gold like
parchment and had black ink writing. She had finiShed reading the book until she fell into a deep
sleep with her book open to the page of the Daisy Meadows.
Haley blinked twice and looked up, a smiling face stared at her. " Hello," smiled the boy, " I'm Dean
Thomas and you are?" He had red hair, a checked bow tie, long brown pants, a blue striped and he
smelt like lavender. " I found you in the Daisy Meadows, the father had always said to help ... Show

After a while, Dean's parents were out in the woods to collect firewood and food. Dean and Haley
were home alone and were bored as there was no TV nor entertainment. She knew she had to tell
Dean the truth or she was never going to get back to her home. Before she could say anything Dean
had interrupted, " Do you want to go exploring in the woods?" Haley had never gone on and
adventure so she was really excited. "Ok!" she exclaimed. Dean ran to him's bedroom to get a small
brown, dust bag. They packed A pair of old binoculars and some wild berries. He put on his special
explorer cap and black boots. Haley thought that this could be the right time to tell Dean the truth.
They followed the rocky path to a monstrous, leafy tree and at the top, there was a rust–colored
Treehouse. " Come on the climb up!" Dean said, gesturing to the half–broken ladder. Haley climbed
the ladder very cautiously. They both climbed up and sat on two dust rosy cushions. There wasn't
much there just a mucky mat and journal it smells a bit like something was

washing machine on let alone wash a load of clothes. He kept telling me to stay up here and let him

stairs to the basement calling out. "Hey, Mark, do you need some help?" "I think the washer is
broken because I can't get any water in it." Jerry placed the clothes in the washer, then h put the
detergent in and turned it on. "Come on, let's have dinner," he said, and would have laughed, but he

"Sweetheart, it looks great, and it is delicious. Mark, try a piece," he said and handed the plate to

suggested placing a piece of steak on the plate. After a few minutes, Mark finally said, "My friend
said you can't ruin steak if you just put it in a skillet and pour some seasoning on it." He cut a piece
of meat, putting it in his mouth he said, "Wow, not too bad." "Okay, I will clean up the kitchen and
do the dishes. You two finish your homework," Jerry said as he cleared the dishes from the table.

The next morning Jerry called work and said he would be late because of family problems. Around
9:30, he went to see Marlene. Since he had never visited a jail, it was necessary for him to get
instructions for visiting. After standing in line for over an hour, Jerry registered at a window to see
his wife. He waited for another forty–five minutes, before they directed him to a small area with
glass windows, on one side and phones on each side of the glass along with a single stool. He sat on
the stool and waited. It was several minutes, before he saw his wife of twenty–five years enter the
room wearing a baggy orange jumpsuit. She never looked like the woman he once loved. She had
combed her hair, but she didn't style it, as was her custom. She wore no make–up and a look of
terror replaced the bright

Personal Narrative : My First Day Of High School
"Jenny come on! It's our first day of high school!" I yelled as Jenny and I walked to school "I'm
coming, Maddie, calm down. Why are you so excited?" Jenny asked. "We are getting closer to
collage, I can't wait." Jenny rolled her eyes as we walked into our first day of high school. I stepped
into the huge crowd of people all trying to find their way around the huge school. "Ok Jenny, I'll
meet you right back here for 5th period. We have that together right?" "Yep, but I don't know anyone
else in our class. I asked a bunch of people and they don't have room 313 on their schedule." said
Jenny. "That's weird, whatever, see you soon bye!" All of my classes were pretty lame and boring. I
am in a math class that was grade above me so, I had no one from my freshman class to talk to.
Period four ended and I was super excited to meet Jenny for our first detective class. "Maddie! Over
here!" Jenny yelled with excitement down the hall. "Do you know where to go? I don't see the
classroom on my map." I asked. "I asked my teacher, it's in the basement. Let's go." Said Jenny. As
we made our way down the stairs the air became heavier and there was a weird stink that became
stronger as we got closer to the basement. It was almost like we entered a whole different world.
"Um, Jenny," I asked, "Why isn't any other student down here, and do you smell that? Nasty." I
cringed. "Over There, by the door with the smoke coming out of it..." We got closer to the door.
Jenny was shaking as she placed her hand of the door knob. Jenny slowly opened the door. We
stepped into completely empty classroom. We looked at each other in confusion. Before any of us
could say anything there was bright flash and we both fell to our knees. I rubbed my eyes trying to
awaking myself. I looked around and the room that was once empty was now filled with desks and
pencils just like a normal classroom looks. I looked over to Jenny. "Jenny? Where are you? Hello? Is
anyone here?!" I exclaimed "Oh my gosh Maddie! I can't see! Where are you?" I heard Jenny
screaming. Just as Jenny finished the lights

Sucker's Becoming A Tough Kid Analysis
Have you ever hated someone so much you wish you could kill them? Well in this story a twelve
year old kid named Sucker and his cousin/brother Pete will find out. I chose the question "Do you
think that Sucker's becoming a tough kid is a good thing?". I think that it is a bad thing for a kid of
Sucker's age to act tough like that. Here are some reasons why. I think that it is a bad thing for a kid
like Sucker to act like that. Just because someone is mean to you doesn't mean you should be mean
back. Pete has always been mean to Sucker, once Pete told Sucker to jump off the roof with an
umbrella and he did it. He did it because he trusted Pete, that all changed when Pete went off on
Sucker. He was different, acted tough and glared

Personal Narrative: The Internet Is Mean
Phil notified all of Dan's remaining fans that they were going to be taking a well needed hiatus until
they felt that Dan was better. This hiatus lasted about a month before an idea sprouted in Dan's
mind. Dan picked up his laptop and opened up a new document and began to type up the script for
his latest video. It was labelled: The Internet is Mean. Dan was anxious to film this next video,
afraid of the negative feedback he might receive. Despite the initial point of the video, there would
always be trolls out there that felt the need to put people down, to make themselves feel good. Dan
took a deep breath and pressed record on the camera. "Hello, Internet," he began, giving a heartfelt
smile towards the camera. "Now I know that last time it got depressing on this channel. Like, ...

Catcalling And Social Media
Street harassment, also know as catcalling, is an action that I hate the most. Street harassment is
unwanted sayings or gestures that are targeted toward someone in specific based on sexual
orientation or gender, and in this case, women. Catcalling can be verbal such as "compliments," like,
"hey, baby." Catcalling can be physical, like groping a part of the body, and it can also be sexual
remarks. When I see street harassment on social media, like in a picture or a video, I feel
uncomfortable, so I can't even imagine how some women feel when they have inappropriate
comments thrown at them constantly.
I think catcalling is the dumbest thing that anyone could have possibly thought of. Women don't
deserve to get harassed on the street. We want to get from point A to point B without any
interruptions, unless it's with our consent and if it's a friend whom consent was given to. If I have to
get stopped on the street for a gross man to comment on my butt or follow me, it is not going to be a
very good day. Most women I know, do not enjoy the act of being catcalled, however, research from
ILR ("Street Harassment Statistics") and Hollaback!, a non–profit organization, showed that only
3%, out of 4,900 participants in the survey under the age of 40, has found street harassment
flattering. Some people do like it, and I'm not going to shame, but I'd much rather have people that
know me and are my friends compliment me in a nice way rather than strangers comment on my
body because they

Are You Rich: A Fictional Narrative
Siri was not the average person for Porto Corsa, Italy. she was used to tall hotels and bright lights.
Not fancy stone bridges. She had no interest in wearing fancy clothes. Instead, she wore a short
sleeved t–shirt with her hair knotted and messy, wearing a disheveled look. Ever since she moved
from Las Vegas a week ago, people eerily looked at her in disgust. She would start school tomorrow
not knowing the name of the school. She was so nervous. As she gazed out of her grandparents
medium–sized house at the beautiful Italian bay, she began to cry. She did not want to start in a new
school even though she did speak Italian. She was worried.

The sweet sound of chimes. The special ringtone I gave for my mom. I knew there was no getting
out of what I had just done, not only myself, but to my mom and dad. My hand stretched to pick up
my phone. I grabbed it, but dropped it during the process due to my nervous, shaky hand. "H–
hello?" Should I had even said hello? I heard the familiar voice of my mother. Sounding angry she
said, "Home. now." Although she was angry, I could tell she was concerned and frantic. I knew my
mom wasn't focusing more on the fact that I snuck out in the middle of the night without permission.
She was focused more on how I could have been seriously hurt, gotten in trouble with the law, or
even gotten taken.Without any orders, my friends jumped out of the car like puppies who had been
caged up all day, just waiting for the moment to be free. There was something in the air that seeped
into everyone's skin, soaked into their bones, and seized my breathe in my throat. This was about to
be an ominous night. I put both hands on the wheel, squeezing it like a kid would squeeze their
mother's hand while waiting to get a shot. My foot, as heavy as a stone, landed on the gas. Not
wanting to go home and face the misery that was about to come, I still rushed home as soon as I
possibly could. One more right turn and I would be turning down the path to my own early death. I
didn't only have one foot in the grave, I was buried up to my chin at this point. With no music

Passover In Jewish Culture
Hello in this paper I will be teaching you lots of things about the Passover. The Passover is a Jewish
Holiday celebrating how God brought their forefathers out of Egypt. I will be typing about the
Jewish peoples' laws, traditions , and what their food represents. I really hope you enjoy this paper
and don't mind me stalling for a higher word count. One of the laws the Jewish people follow is
eating unleavened bread. They do this because the had to leave Egypt in a hurry and had no time to
let the bread rise. The Jewish people will also avoid eating certain grains such as wheat. Even
kitchen tools used to make these grains must be gotten rid of. If they have a pet the food that it eats
must not have the grains in it and if you don't change ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wait a minute did I already tell you about this. I guess I will explain to you what the food represents.
The food for the seder is put on a seder plate which is normally a expensive glass plate but it could
be a paper plate if you wanted it to. The shankbone which comes from a lamb represents the lambs
that were sacrificed when the Jews left Egypt. Some people do not like a bone just sitting there and
because of this they will use roasted beef. The roasted egg signifies the offerings to God that were
made during the time of the second temple. Maror can be any bitter herb or horseradish. Most
people however use horseradish. Maror is bitter and nasty and is suppose to remind you of how
bitter slavery was and utter bitterness of the Pharaoh. Charoset is a salde mix of honey, wine, apples,
and nuts. This symbolises the mortar which the Jewish slaves had to use to make bricks for the
Pharaoh. Karpas is a green vegetable used to symbolise the freshness of spring. some say those who
eat do so to make them feel like aristocrats. Some Jewish households use potatoes. Chazeret is
another bitter herb. Most people use romaine lettuce. Honestly why would you have two nasty foods
it is just absurd. A bowl of salt water were people dip their karpas. the salt water represents the
sweat and tears of slavery. Matzah which is the unleavened bread has a few different things that it
can represent. Last but not least it is

Thomas Hobbes Perfect Social Contract
Hello Professor and Fellow Classmates,
With the topic of the discussion for this week, I agree with the ideas of both the philosophy. They
have some good point of views that I think if we could combine them together, we would have a
perfect Social Contract. Hobbes created Social Contract in the 17th Century when the world was
wild and dangerous to him. People was too self–interested that they would do whatever it took to
survive. He called it "state of nature", a place where life is "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short".
He believed that we need Social Contract and a good government to protect and guide us. His
purpose was to bring safety, freedom, and peaceful environment to the society. Therefore, he
believed we are all self– interested

Water Pollution In The Great Lakes
The Great lakes are we sure they are so great??
Hello I am Rokhaya, I am a 20 year old, qualified Marine Biologists by the University of California,
Los Angeles: Marine Biology Major. I live in Kitch–iti–kipi Michigan. Over 19 years I have studied
the Great Lakes(I started studying in 1949) I have noticed a major difference from the 1950s to
2017. Pollution in the Great Lakes is a big problem and it is very serious. Water pollution affects
health of the living organisms in the lake, and soon it can affect the health of us human too. Water
Pollution occurs when, people dump their stuff into the water, and factories dump their stuff into the
water etc. This is an example of non–point pollutionm. Firstly, it affects the organisms life because

In the last years, invasive species have i remeber sypupchanged the Great Lakes ecosystem. These
changes have affected the economy, health, and recreation. Once invasive species entered the Great
Lakes its hard to stop them. Some examples of invasive are sea lamphrey, zebra mussles, round
goby, and alewife just to name a few. Zebra Mussles are a problem because they clog pipes, stick on
everthing and anything, eat native species food, and clean waters alowing sunlight to come in the

found in nearby waterways that eventually connect to the Great Lakes. Scientest began to construct

home to hundreds of thousands of plant, fish, and wildlife populations. All of these species, breed,

The Matchmaker Analysis
The golden age of the big–budget musical may remain lost to the annals of old Hollywood, some
may argue that classics will always be better than their reimagined counterparts, but this is hardly
the case in all circumstances. The 1969 big screen adaptation of Hello, Dolly! proves that sometimes
the original star power of a cast can be overridden decades later. The 2017 Broadway revival of
Hello Dolly! supports the idea that while people may become accustomed to hearing a song a certain
way, a new interpretation of the materials can lead to blockbuster success. Despite the glitter and
grandeur of the on–screen film adaptation's costuming and set design, the 2017 iteration of the
musical, based on Thornton Wilder's play The Matchmaker, shows that big budgets and sweeping
landscapes are not needed; opting to go with garishly bright pastels and impeccable choreography to
stir the imaginations and win the hearts of millions of theatergoers.
Starring Barbra Streisand and Walter Matthau, the 1969 film certainly attempted to bring the star
power but "hostility that developed between Walter Matthau and Barbra Streisand" (TCM) turned
into anything but a love story when presented on the big screen. Both actors shared a mutual dislike
that caused a very clear disconnect onset, where Matthau "refused to be in the same room as
Streisand unless they were filming" (TCM). In front of the camera, Mathau comes across as a crass
old businessman who cares for no one but himself, while

Summary Of The Poem Enter Without So Much As Knocking By...
In 1950's Australia, post–WWII, everyone wanted to be living the American Dream. Everyone
wanted a nice house and a large backyard, cute kids and a stay–at–home wife, a stable job and a
steady income, and all the material products in the world. In 1950's Australia, Bruce Dawe wrote
many poems. In three of his poems–Enter Without So Much as Knocking; Americanized; and
Breakthrough–he used techniques such as language, juxtaposition and metaphors to express his
views about the negative effects of consumerism, American influence and technology.
In the poem 'Enter Without So Much as Knocking', Bruce Dawe uses the language of television to
display the effect technology and advertisements had on daily Australian life in the 1950's. In the
first stanza, Dawe wrote "...first thing he heard was Bobby Dazzler on Channel 7: Hello, hello, hello
all you lucky people..." The stanza is focused on a ten–day–old baby who has been taken home and
the first thing he hears is the catch phrase of a TV personality. This tells us that in Dawe's world,
children are exposed to the news and the power of ads as young as possible, to force them into a life
of technology and big companies. In stanza three, the language becomes more demanding and
jarring. Dawe uses capitalization, repetition and short sentences to create a list of rules society is
being forced to follow. He uses road rules such as "walk. Don't walk. Turn left. No parking," and the
lack of emotion in the words highlights how he believes this is not the way to live. The fifth stanza
is written as the adult. It's a long sentence filled with the jargon of advertising and superficial
connections to family and friends, and through this language use Dawe shows us exactly what he's
afraid of.
'Americanized' is, as the title suggests, a poem about American influence. It is an extended
metaphor, where the mother in the poem is America, the child being Australia, and their relationship
which is not built on trust or love but rather need and fear. This basic human relationship has been
twisted by Dawe to show that the consumer lifestyle America brought to Australia is taking away the
Australian identity. The poem starts with "She loves him..." and although this emotive language
makes the

Civil Inattention
This chapter was an eye opener for me and very informative, but I was really interested in civil
inattention. I say this because I am sure we all experience civil inattention everywhere from just
simply walking outside, going to the movie theaters, shopping at the mall, shopping at the
supermarket, etc. I find it interesting because this is not something that we would even notice or talk
about. I know in this society, we don't regularly talk to strangers, we try to avoid eye contact as
much as possible. When people stare at you longer than what's acceptable and it doesn't take the
attention in the way it was meant to be, then anger could be a result due to misunderstanding. For
example, my nephew went to Boston for of a job opportunity and

Why I Am A Computer Program
Whilst other children my age were out playing in the sun, I was indoors tinkering with an old
desktop I put together. The refurbished systems disposed of by were like treasures to me. Every
other day I would climb into the skips to find components I could use to upgrade my system. I
remember feeling ecstatic about the fact that I had literally built the system from scratch, installed
an operating system and could browse the internet using a dial–up CD provided by AOL. Given the
lack of security software at the time, it was not long before I was confronted by a virus. The start bar
had vanished and I could not control the mouse or keyboard, and upon every reboot, a daunting logo
image would be maximized, rendering my desktop useless. I was furious but also curious as to how
a person could create such a program. It wasn 't the malicious nature of the program itself which
sparked my curiosity, more so the fact that this individual had created something that did exactly as
they wanted. I decided I would attempt to find out how one can write a program and came across
Visual Basic 6 after a few yahoo searches. After writing my first Hello World program, I managed to
maximize an image on the desktop and disabled both mouse and keyboard input. I then had the
program run at start–up, recreating the initial behaviour of the virus. This motivated me to continue
learning through trial and error and after a year had passed, I felt proficient enough to not only

What Is The Epilogue To Fodo's Hobbit
There once lived a hobbit Frodo Baggins, who lived in a beautiful hobbit hole in the Shire. Frodo
was a peaceful hobbit at the time, but not for long...
Many years ago, he helped destroy Mordor, a great and powerful realm with millions of orcs. At that
time, Frodo was a ring bearer, and fought through all of Mordor's challenges, barely making it out
alive. His journey was to travel to Mount Doom, and drop the Ring of Power into the mountain's
lava. The ring obtained immense power, and brought turmoil to all of Middle–Earth. The only way
to ensure the safety of the people, was to destroy the ring for good. Frodo was successful, and saved
all of the living things in the world.
When Frodo arrived back to the Shire, a year later, he was at peace.
Frodo had awakened one morning, and was eager to go to his living room. "Hello Frodo," Lacqua

Gorge, a bandit came out of nowhere, and stabbed Thorin III, giving his body mager pans.
"Nooooooo!" Frodo, Snarge, and Lacqua cried, as they had to finish off the rest of the bandits.
After the second round was over, all of them quickly went over to Thorin III, hoping he would still
be alive, but he was no more. Later that year, they arrived back to the Shire, Frodo had his body
burn, and once it was completed, Thorin III was nothing but ash. So Frodo, an Lacqua had spread
his ashes through the mountains, the Ettenmoors and the Shire. Even though Thorin III was not
remembered as a hero, he was remembered as the first dwarf to ever apologise to a little hobbit

Super Mice Persuasive Essay
Say hello to Super Lice! Super Lice is nothing to take lightly. You or your child could be its next
victim! Super Lice has now found homes in nearly 25 states! Super Lice is becoming a major
problem in the USA because medications are not treating the lice. Some people say Super Lice is
still the same Lice it's always been and there's nothing to worry about, but head lice is much harder
to kill than usual. First, Super Lice has mutated into another version of Lice. This means lice is now
resisting pyrethoid or over the counter medications. Doctors noticed a change in treating Lice, this
caused research to be done. Researchers found, that head lice have developed a gene mutation that
essentially teaches them to resist common treatments (Costa, 1). Researcher Kyong Yoon says, "104
out 109 lice populations tested has had high levels of gene mutations" (Costa 11). Researchers have
also found a change in how the lice reacted to the chemical pyrethoid in the medication. Pyrethoids
products were first introduced into the market in the early 1990s. Easy to use, they become many
families preferred first–line defense. Before, pyrethoids had no problem getting rid of the itchy bugs
in your hair. But much has changed since then. This causes many to wonder, if lice have mutated, is
it really just your everyday lice? Next, Super lice has become a problem in the USA because treating

Birdsong: A Narrative Fiction
He woke to birdsong for a few blissful moments he thought that maybe he is in paradise or maybe
he has died and gone to heaven, the thought both delighted and terrified him. But then the events of
the night before came rushing back to him and death seemed like a delightful prospect over the day's
reality. Lying in his neighbour, Neha's lawn, he remembered last night's party and all the punch that
he had drunk and all the bets and stupid games and, Oh God! the girls he can't even remember how
many girls he had kissed. Normally, he never hooked up with more than one girl during a party but
last night was different, it was a night of firsts.
On his way home, he saw a big ruckus in Neha's house and the thought of a party on a Friday night
seemed like a really good idea and after the trying day that he had in office with his boss shouting
the whole day, he just couldn't wait to get changed and start partying. Knowing that Neha wouldn't

somebody was pulling that girl away from him and punching him saying to "get his tongue out of

After that he couldn't remember who broke that fight but the next thing he remembered is playing
strip poker and giving up when he was sitting in just his underwear, he should have remembered that
he was terrible at poker. Then a girl was feeling his junk inside his underwear and he was

Waking Up At School Is Super Hard
Waking up in the morning for school was super hard. I am definitely not a morning person. I layed
in bed for 30 minutes with Daisy every morning before getting up. I took her down stairs every
morning, put her outside, and fed her the dog food. If she was lucky she might of got some of my
food. She was an old dog, so she did not move around very much. All day long she would sleep with
my other dog Mathis until I got home from school. One day when I got home for school she did not
get up. She just sat there with her eyes closed asleep. When I put the nasty smelling food in her loud
bowl, she usually ran. This time she just stared at me with a sad face. I went to pet her and felt a
nasty bump on her head. I just figured Mathis and her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

walked in and put her to sleep. It was the most painful things I have ever been put through. Daisy
was the greatest dog anyone could ever have. She made me happy when I was sad, kept me fighting
through tough moments, and more. Walking out of the office was close to impossible. Tears running
down everyone's face. A couple days later Mathis, our other dog, was very depressed. He had also
lost his best friend. There was no more playing, wrestling, and cuddling. Because Mathis was so
depressed, we decided to get a new dog. We searched for a new bull dog online, and my sister
spotted one she liked. He had neat cow spot like fur with a rolled up tail that looked like a cinnamon
roll. We all agreed that we had to get him. We set out on the 3 hour journey to Ohio that next
morning. The place looked like an old vintage farm building. The smell was beautiful. it had that
sense of smell you would inhale in a rose garden. I could spot the roaming dogs in the green grass at
the back of the house. The lady approached us with a warm welcome. She showed us around the
property, and there he was. The big fat bulldog we all loved. The name Mac came straight to my

He had just enough time to swing to the left as that club came down again, rustling up dirt and grass
in the process. Moving to dig his hands straight into the dirt, Arma sent a good amount of it at the
troll's eyes, using the time he used to scratch it out to get back to his feet and closer to an open area

Leaping straight to it, he put those acrobatic skills to work as he swung himself around and around

enough room to sail overhead the giant mass of black fur and pure rage. He timed it just right and
given those lion reflexes, the strength, he let go at the precise moment to sail overhead just as that

Malcolm Gladwell Plagiarism
Malcolm Gladwell wrote "Sometheing Borrowed: Should a charge of plagiarism ruin your life" in
"What the Dog Saw: And other Adventures." Gladwell's main point in his story is that plagiarism is
unfair and dishonest. He then goes on to discuss the many facets of plagiarism; like melodies in
songs and picnic tables. Gladwell wants people who are interested in the arts and humanities to read
this because he pulls pieces of music, art and literature to use as examples since plagiarism is a key
component in these areas. This is because people change up others work and make it into their own
for the world to develop and grow. Malcolm Gladwell explains that when an idea goes public,
people are allowed to copy it and make others work into "a grander cause." Overall I think Gladwell
was trying to focus on why ideas are plagiarized and their reasoning behind it, rather than just
focusing on the fact that it was plagiarized. Gladwell starts off by introducing a psychiatrist by the
name of Dorothy
Lewis whose work and life had been amalgamated in a Broadway play called
"Frozen." Lewis's friends had continuously nagged her to go see the play, after a short few months
she received a phone call from the theatre production of "frozen" asking her if she would do a talk–
back after the play. Before she accepted to do it she asked if she could read the script. After reading
it she realized that Bryon Lavery not only took her work but "violated" her as well. At the time

Analysis Of The Book ' Backstory With Devin '
Other narrative devices that I used in my script are backstory with Devin, in which Elroy reminds
him of what his life has become. I used foreshadowing in dialogue referencing hell at different
points referring to the ending which is meant to be the beginning of the end of times and hell on
earth. I used some–what of a cliffhanger at the end as it is implied what is going to happen in which
Marcellus and the three humanoid creatures are heading towards the town hall to kill everyone, but
we don't really see it leaving it up to the viewer's imagination. I also used plot twists, especially in
the climax as unexpectedly Devin kills himself, and the Priestess then possesses his body. I would
say the use of these narrative devices in my script are quite effective because although I only used a
few devices in the plot, I feel that if I had put a lot of different narrative devices, my plot wouldn't
be the same or have the same impact as it does now. I don't think I could have told my story
differently in that it's an idea I've kept to myself for the last couple years and this is the first platform
for me to show this idea that has resonated with me. I do believe though that I could of told my story
more effectively in that some the actions are a bit short in which I think some cases might move the
plot faster than it should. I would say that my script without a doubt is a horror script. There are
many conventions from horror films that are used in my script, but not enough to make

"Well, Dickie," with a manly frown, "you've got an appointment today." "Yeah I know father,"

Mom and I stood up as well. What kind of test is this? Will I pass? What happens if I don't pass?
Why do I have to take this test? Dickie thought while getting into his father's car. As they were
arriving Dickie began to see the Government Educational Building, and get nervous. "Okay we're

"Why does everyone look so serious father?"
"Because this is a really important test Dickie,"

The Role Of Katherna In Taming Of The Shrew
The play "Taming of the Shrew" starts with introducing many characters at once. Katherina is the
'shrew' pertaining to the title. She is the eldest daughter of Baptista Minola and well known to be a
very shrew women which leads him to decide to prevent Bianca, his other younger and arguably
better daughter, from marrying until Katherina does so, which then leads us to the plot of the story.
Suitors are introduced to both of the sisters, though Katherina only has one, who goes by the name
Petruchio. Petruchio is shown to be cruel and lies about Katherina's consent to the marriage, as well
as telling the audience of his goals to 'tame' Katherina.
In the "Taming of the Shrew," Petruchio tames Katherina by starving her, contradicting her, and
depriving her of sleep. One example from the text on Petruchio tames Katherina is by starving her in

Petruchio's techniques most likely would work even in this decade (though how long would it last is
the question) because physical/mental abuse between a spouse (or anyone) is disappointingly a high
number and most likely modern day Petruchios do use the same techniques in order to get what they
want and modern day Katherina (whether or not they 'need' taming) probably feel trapped in the
marriage to do anything which results in the same results that Petruchio got with

How Does The Hatchet Change Throughout The Novel
Goodbye cheesy cheeseburgers, salty french fries, creamy, smooth milkshakes, and cold, refreshing
soda; hello stinky, uncooked fish, small, nasty raw eggs, and wild, bitter berries. Brian must learn to
survive in the Canadian wilderness, and the the nature around him can end his life if he is not
careful. Brian runs into many animals and his character dramatically changes throughout the novel,
which changes his view on life and his situation. In the beginning of the story, Brian is a whiner and
near the middle and end of the story, Brian changes and starts to realize that he is part of nature and
he adapts to his surroundings!
In the beginning of the story, Brian is given a Hatchet and put on a Cessna 406 Bush plane. He
grudgingly gets on. He is on his way to visit his dad since his parents had a divorce. While on the
plane the pilot has a heart attack and the plane crashes in the canadian wilderness. All Brian does is

is in chapter 15. Throughout chapter 15 it explains Brian experiencing a tornado. This puts Brian to
the real test to see if he can survive. Brian thinks fast but knows that everything he worked for is
gone. He started to build a new shelter and get more food. In this situation Brian knows how to act
because he is so used to nature and how it all works differently. The is different from the beginning
of the book when all Brian did was complain about the difficulty of his

Adam Yauch Research Paper
Adam Yauch (or his stage name, MCA) was the bassist and one of the three members of the Beastie

Identity Negotiation Theory Paper
Identity negotiation theory is a theory that suggests that people are constantly negotiating who they
are to other people that they talk to, if even only subconsciously. Identity negotiation refers to the
process through which perceivers and targets come to agreements regarding their identities Swann
(2014). This essay analyzes self–identity theory, based on the facts that the theory suggests,
particularly how people negotiate their feelings, respect for each other, and in many ways even their
interests and disinterests, then I will critique the theory in question. First, this essay will discuss how
people negotiate their feelings on a daily basis based off the theory in question. When one says hello
or a similar greeting to someone else the speaker is asking (if even somewhat subconsciously) how
the other person is feeling. Usually the other person will communicate back their feelings, which is
answered in a pretty simplistic manner. If the person that answers the greeting says that they are
doing well, then that means that they are in a good mood and are interested in driving the
communication further; if that same person says that they are doing bad then that means that they're
not feeling well today, but are still interested in furthering the conversation; and if a person doesn't
answer the question at all, then that means that that person is probably not ... Show more content on

Fun Guy Monologue

  • 1. Fun Guy Monologue I will infect you huuummanns! Oh hello I am Fun–Guy I'm a Fungi I can cause many pains to your body and also give you sickness. I like to infect places that are wet. The immune system will try to attack me but usually fails. Suckers you can't attack me. Ha! Now its time to infect. I am going to try and cause a unlucky person athletes foot. Now that I am giving them a rash they are going to notice me and call a doctor for some anti–fungal meds. Boy I sure do hate that stuff. As the person who is named John goes to the doctor I hear the doctor say" thats a pretty nasty fungus son." Yes, I the fungus have finally made someone have "the nasties." Oh no, this is the time I should spread, Dr. Dreadful is giving John anti–fungal medication. I have a plan. As he is thinking out loud the unsuspected pinky toe is listening. Once Fun–Guy finishes his evil plan Pinky Toe tells the doctors Pinky Toe that Fun–Guy's plan is to jump on Dr. Dreadful when he gives John the meds. Dr. Dreadful has to wait for the anti–fungal meds to arrive and he sends John home. The medicine has finally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fun–Guy was inhaled and he was thrown down the esophagus. He had been inhaled into Dewey's lungs. This was great news for Fun–Guy because he had gotten into a human. After a few days Fun– Guy had caused serious problems to Dewey's chest. He heard Dewey shouting "dad this burn hurts so bad and this rash is killing me." Now Fun–Guy knew that he had done his job and caused pain to innocent humans, but he was satisfied because he had done his job. Now all he had to do was wait for Dewey to cough and he would be inhaled again. Now that Fun–Guy's job was done he was able to start exploring the area he was in. He saw that it was very dark and musty. He reached around his moldy pockets and found a small flashlight. When he turned it on he saw that he was in an area of plain pink. • 3. How To Write A Narrative Essay On The Odyssey " Thanks, grandma!" exclaimed Haley cheerfully, " I'm looking forward to a book full of adventure and pirates!" She skipped outside with a big smile on her face. the book wasn't really that appealing. It had been torn and had patches of grey. It smelt like old grandmas too and was extremely dusty. Haley didn't mind, she liked the book. Haley turned the first page of the book, it was gold like parchment and had black ink writing. She had finiShed reading the book until she fell into a deep sleep with her book open to the page of the Daisy Meadows. Haley blinked twice and looked up, a smiling face stared at her. " Hello," smiled the boy, " I'm Dean Thomas and you are?" He had red hair, a checked bow tie, long brown pants, a blue striped and he smelt like lavender. Dean and Haley were home alone and were bored as there was no TV nor entertainment. She knew she had to tell Dean the truth or she was never going to get back to her home. Before she could say anything Dean had interrupted, " Do you want to go exploring in the woods?" Haley had never gone on and adventure so she was really excited. "Ok!" she exclaimed. Dean ran to him's bedroom to get a small brown, dust bag. They packed A pair of old binoculars and some wild berries. He put on his special explorer cap and black boots. Haley thought that this could be the right time to tell Dean the truth. They followed the rocky path to a monstrous, leafy tree and at the top, there was a rust–colored Treehouse. " Come on the climb up!" Dean said, gesturing to the half–broken ladder. Haley climbed the ladder very cautiously. They both climbed up and sat on two dust rosy cushions. He kept telling me to stay up here and let him do his thing, so I did. You might want to check on him." "That I will do," Jerry said going down the stairs to the basement calling out. "Hey, Mark, do you need some help?" "I think the washer is broken because I can't get any water in it." Jerry placed the clothes in the washer, then h put the detergent in and turned it on. "Come on, let's have dinner," he said, and would have laughed, but he was too tired. "Do you think we can eat Ashley's cooking? You know she never helped Mom cook, and I am afraid of it. Pushing the plate away, Mark said, "I am afraid of that." "Come on Mark, give it a try." Jerry suggested placing a piece of steak on the plate. After a few minutes, Mark finally said, "My friend said you can't ruin steak if you just put it in a skillet and pour some seasoning on it." He cut a piece of meat, putting it in his mouth he said, "Wow, not too bad." "Okay, I will clean up the kitchen and do the dishes. You two finish your homework," Jerry said as he cleared the dishes from the table. +++ The next morning Jerry called work and said he would be late because of family problems. Around 9:30, he went to see Marlene. Since he had never visited a jail, it was necessary for him to get instructions for visiting. After standing in line for over an hour, Jerry registered at a window to see his wife. He waited for another forty–five minutes, before they directed him to a small area with glass windows, on one side and phones on each side of the glass along with a single stool. He sat on the stool and waited. It was several minutes, before he saw his wife of twenty–five years enter the room wearing a baggy orange jumpsuit. She never looked like the woman he once loved. • 7. Personal Narrative : My First Day Of High School "Jenny come on! It's our first day of high school!" I yelled as Jenny and I walked to school "I'm coming, Maddie, calm down. Why are you so excited?" Jenny asked. "We are getting closer to collage, I can't wait." Jenny rolled her eyes as we walked into our first day of high school. I stepped into the huge crowd of people all trying to find their way around the huge school. "Ok Jenny, I'll meet you right back here for 5th period. We have that together right?" "Yep, but I don't know anyone else in our class. I asked a bunch of people and they don't have room 313 on their schedule." said Jenny. "That's weird, whatever, see you soon bye!" All of my classes were pretty lame and boring. I am in a math class that was grade above me so, I had no one from my freshman class to talk to. Period four ended and I was super excited to meet Jenny for our first detective class. "Maddie! Over here!" Jenny yelled with excitement down the hall. "Do you know where to go? I don't see the classroom on my map." I asked. "I asked my teacher, it's in the basement. Let's go." Said Jenny. As we made our way down the stairs the air became heavier and there was a weird stink that became stronger as we got closer to the basement. It was almost like we entered a whole different world. "Um, Jenny," I asked, "Why isn't any other student down here, and do you smell that? Nasty." I cringed. "Over There, by the door with the smoke coming out of it..." We got closer to the door. Jenny was shaking as she placed her hand of the door knob. Jenny slowly opened the door. We stepped into completely empty classroom. We looked at each other in confusion. Before any of us could say anything there was bright flash and we both fell to our knees. I rubbed my eyes trying to awaking myself. I looked around and the room that was once empty was now filled with desks and pencils just like a normal classroom looks. I looked over to Jenny. "Jenny? Where are you? Hello? Is anyone here?!" I exclaimed "Oh my gosh Maddie! I can't see! Where are you?" I heard Jenny screaming. Just as Jenny finished the lights ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Sucker's Becoming A Tough Kid Analysis Have you ever hated someone so much you wish you could kill them? Well in this story a twelve year old kid named Sucker and his cousin/brother Pete will find out. I chose the question "Do you think that Sucker's becoming a tough kid is a good thing?". I think that it is a bad thing for a kid of Sucker's age to act tough like that. Here are some reasons why. I think that it is a bad thing for a kid like Sucker to act like that. Just because someone is mean to you doesn't mean you should be mean back. Pete has always been mean to Sucker, once Pete told Sucker to jump off the roof with an umbrella and he did it. He did it because he trusted Pete, that all changed when Pete went off on Sucker. He was different, acted tough and glared ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This hiatus lasted about a month before an idea sprouted in Dan's mind. Dan picked up his laptop and opened up a new document and began to type up the script for his latest video. It was labelled: The Internet is Mean. Dan was anxious to film this next video, afraid of the negative feedback he might receive. Despite the initial point of the video, there would always be trolls out there that felt the need to put people down, to make themselves feel good. Dan took a deep breath and pressed record on the camera. "Hello, Internet," he began, giving a heartfelt smile towards the camera. "Now I know that last time it got depressing on this channel. I'll need you, the nice part of the Internet's help," he explained, smiling at the camera as hopefulness filled his eyes. "I'm starting this campaign called, #NicerInternet. This campaign will insure that less people will be cyberbullied. How? You might ask? Well that's where you come in. All you guys have to do, is if you see some getting attacked with hurtful messages on a Facebook post, Instagram post, whatever, by nasty internet trolls, help them, by defending them or messaging to tell that they aren't alone," Dan explained. Street harassment is unwanted sayings or gestures that are targeted toward someone in specific based on sexual orientation or gender, and in this case, women. Catcalling can be verbal such as "compliments," like, "hey, baby." Catcalling can be physical, like groping a part of the body, and it can also be sexual remarks. When I see street harassment on social media, like in a picture or a video, I feel uncomfortable, so I can't even imagine how some women feel when they have inappropriate comments thrown at them constantly. I think catcalling is the dumbest thing that anyone could have possibly thought of. Women don't deserve to get harassed on the street. We want to get from point A to point B without any interruptions, unless it's with our consent and if it's a friend whom consent was given to. If I have to get stopped on the street for a gross man to comment on my butt or follow me, it is not going to be a very good day. Most women I know, do not enjoy the act of being catcalled, however, research from ILR ("Street Harassment Statistics") and Hollaback!, a non–profit organization, showed that only 3%, out of 4,900 participants in the survey under the age of 40, has found street harassment flattering. Some people do like it, and I'm not going to shame, but I'd much rather have people that know me and are my friends compliment me in a nice way rather than strangers comment on my body because they ... • 23. Passover In Jewish Culture Hello in this paper I will be teaching you lots of things about the Passover. The Passover is a Jewish Holiday celebrating how God brought their forefathers out of Egypt. I will be typing about the Jewish peoples' laws, traditions , and what their food represents. I really hope you enjoy this paper and don't mind me stalling for a higher word count. One of the laws the Jewish people follow is eating unleavened bread. They do this because the had to leave Egypt in a hurry and had no time to let the bread rise. The Jewish people will also avoid eating certain grains such as wheat. Even kitchen tools used to make these grains must be gotten rid of. If they have a pet the food that it eats must not have the grains in it and if you don't change ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wait a minute did I already tell you about this. I guess I will explain to you what the food represents. The food for the seder is put on a seder plate which is normally a expensive glass plate but it could be a paper plate if you wanted it to. The shankbone which comes from a lamb represents the lambs that were sacrificed when the Jews left Egypt. Some people do not like a bone just sitting there and because of this they will use roasted beef. The roasted egg signifies the offerings to God that were made during the time of the second temple. Maror can be any bitter herb or horseradish. Most people however use horseradish. Maror is bitter and nasty and is suppose to remind you of how bitter slavery was and utter bitterness of the Pharaoh. Charoset is a salde mix of honey, wine, apples, and nuts. This symbolises the mortar which the Jewish slaves had to use to make bricks for the Pharaoh. Karpas is a green vegetable used to symbolise the freshness of spring. some say those who eat do so to make them feel like aristocrats. Some Jewish households use potatoes. Chazeret is another bitter herb. Most people use romaine lettuce. Honestly why would you have two nasty foods it is just absurd. Hobbes created Social Contract in the 17th Century when the world was wild and dangerous to him. People was too self–interested that they would do whatever it took to survive. He called it "state of nature", a place where life is "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short". He believed that we need Social Contract and a good government to protect and guide us. Over 19 years I have studied the Great Lakes(I started studying in 1949) I have noticed a major difference from the 1950s to 2017. Pollution in the Great Lakes is a big problem and it is very serious. Water pollution affects health of the living organisms in the lake, and soon it can affect the health of us human too. • 31. The Matchmaker Analysis The golden age of the big–budget musical may remain lost to the annals of old Hollywood, some may argue that classics will always be better than their reimagined counterparts, but this is hardly the case in all circumstances. The 1969 big screen adaptation of Hello, Dolly! proves that sometimes the original star power of a cast can be overridden decades later. The 2017 Broadway revival of Hello Dolly! supports the idea that while people may become accustomed to hearing a song a certain way, a new interpretation of the materials can lead to blockbuster success. Despite the glitter and grandeur of the on–screen film adaptation's costuming and set design, the 2017 iteration of the musical, based on Thornton Wilder's play The Matchmaker, shows that big budgets and sweeping landscapes are not needed; opting to go with garishly bright pastels and impeccable choreography to stir the imaginations and win the hearts of millions of theatergoers. Starring Barbra Streisand and Walter Matthau, the 1969 film certainly attempted to bring the star power but "hostility that developed between Walter Matthau and Barbra Streisand" (TCM) turned into anything but a love story when presented on the big screen. Both actors shared a mutual dislike that caused a very clear disconnect onset, where Matthau "refused to be in the same room as Streisand unless they were filming" (TCM). In front of the camera, Mathau comes across as a crass old businessman who cares for no one but himself, while ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Summary Of The Poem Enter Without So Much As Knocking By... In 1950's Australia, post–WWII, everyone wanted to be living the American Dream. Everyone wanted a nice house and a large backyard, cute kids and a stay–at–home wife, a stable job and a steady income, and all the material products in the world. In 1950's Australia, Bruce Dawe wrote many poems. In three of his poems–Enter Without So Much as Knocking; Americanized; and Breakthrough–he used techniques such as language, juxtaposition and metaphors to express his views about the negative effects of consumerism, American influence and technology. In the poem 'Enter Without So Much as Knocking', Bruce Dawe uses the language of television to display the effect technology and advertisements had on daily Australian life in the 1950's. In the first stanza, Dawe wrote "...first thing he heard was Bobby Dazzler on Channel 7: Hello, hello, hello all you lucky people..." The stanza is focused on a ten–day–old baby who has been taken home and the first thing he hears is the catch phrase of a TV personality. This tells us that in Dawe's world, children are exposed to the news and the power of ads as young as possible, to force them into a life of technology and big companies. In stanza three, the language becomes more demanding and jarring. Dawe uses capitalization, repetition and short sentences to create a list of rules society is being forced to follow. He uses road rules such as "walk. Don't walk. Turn left. No parking," and the lack of emotion in the words highlights how he believes this is not the way to live. The fifth stanza is written as the adult. It's a long sentence filled with the jargon of advertising and superficial connections to family and friends, and through this language use Dawe shows us exactly what he's afraid of. 'Americanized' is, as the title suggests, a poem about American influence. It is an extended metaphor, where the mother in the poem is America, the child being Australia, and their relationship which is not built on trust or love but rather need and fear. This basic human relationship has been twisted by Dawe to show that the consumer lifestyle America brought to Australia is taking away the Australian identity. The poem starts with "She loves him..." and although this emotive language makes the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I say this because I am sure we all experience civil inattention everywhere from just simply walking outside, going to the movie theaters, shopping at the mall, shopping at the supermarket, etc. I find it interesting because this is not something that we would even notice or talk about. I know in this society, we don't regularly talk to strangers, we try to avoid eye contact as much as possible. The refurbished systems disposed of by were like treasures to me. Every other day I would climb into the skips to find components I could use to upgrade my system. I remember feeling ecstatic about the fact that I had literally built the system from scratch, installed an operating system and could browse the internet using a dial–up CD provided by AOL. Given the lack of security software at the time, it was not long before I was confronted by a virus. The start bar had vanished and I could not control the mouse or keyboard, and upon every reboot, a daunting logo image would be maximized, rendering my desktop useless. I was furious but also curious as to how a person could create such a program. It wasn 't the malicious nature of the program itself which sparked my curiosity, more so the fact that this individual had created something that did exactly as they wanted. I decided I would attempt to find out how one can write a program and came across Visual Basic 6 after a few yahoo searches. After writing my first Hello World program, I managed to maximize an image on the desktop and disabled both mouse and keyboard input. I then had the program run at start–up, recreating the initial behaviour of the virus. • 53. Malcolm Gladwell Plagiarism Malcolm Gladwell wrote "Sometheing Borrowed: Should a charge of plagiarism ruin your life" in "What the Dog Saw: And other Adventures." Gladwell's main point in his story is that plagiarism is unfair and dishonest. He then goes on to discuss the many facets of plagiarism; like melodies in songs and picnic tables. Gladwell wants people who are interested in the arts and humanities to read this because he pulls pieces of music, art and literature to use as examples since plagiarism is a key component in these areas. This is because people change up others work and make it into their own for the world to develop and grow. Malcolm Gladwell explains that when an idea goes public, people are allowed to copy it and make others work into "a grander cause." Overall I think Gladwell was trying to focus on why ideas are plagiarized and their reasoning behind it, rather than just focusing on the fact that it was plagiarized. Gladwell starts off by introducing a psychiatrist by the name of Dorothy Lewis whose work and life had been amalgamated in a Broadway play called "Frozen." Lewis's friends had continuously nagged her to go see the play, after a short few months she received a phone call from the theatre production of "frozen" asking her if she would do a talk– back after the play. Before she accepted to do it she asked if she could read the script. After reading it she realized that Bryon Lavery not only took her work but "violated" her as well. At the time Lavery ... • 55. Analysis Of The Book ' Backstory With Devin ' Other narrative devices that I used in my script are backstory with Devin, in which Elroy reminds him of what his life has become. I used foreshadowing in dialogue referencing hell at different points referring to the ending which is meant to be the beginning of the end of times and hell on earth. I used some–what of a cliffhanger at the end as it is implied what is going to happen in which Marcellus and the three humanoid creatures are heading towards the town hall to kill everyone, but we don't really see it leaving it up to the viewer's imagination. I also used plot twists, especially in the climax as unexpectedly Devin kills himself, and the Priestess then possesses his body. I would say the use of these narrative devices in my script are quite effective because although I only used a few devices in the plot, I feel that if I had put a lot of different narrative devices, my plot wouldn't be the same or have the same impact as it does now. I don't think I could have told my story differently in that it's an idea I've kept to myself for the last couple years and this is the first platform for me to show this idea that has resonated with me. I do believe though that I could of told my story more effectively in that some the actions are a bit short in which I think some cases might move the plot faster than it should. I would say that my script without a doubt is a horror script. There are many conventions from horror films that are used in my script, but not enough to make ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

"Yeah I know father," replied Dickie "Now Dickie you are going to do fine, okay?" "Okay," I did not really understand why his father was taking the situation so seriously, Mr. Jordan rose from the breakfast table, "Dickie we should start heading out now." Mom and I stood up as well. What kind of test is this? Will I pass? What happens if I don't pass? Why do I have to take this test? Dickie thought while getting into his father's car. As they were arriving Dickie began to see the Government Educational Building, and get nervous. "Okay we're here, guys," said Mr. Jordan with a really frightened voice, "Are you scared at all Dickie?" "No not really, because I don't understand how this test is going to work father," "Well Dickie all they are going to have you go into a room and answer some questions," As I got out of the car, and began to walk to the big front doors of the building he noticed a ton of other kids that looked pretty serious. "Why does everyone look so serious father?" "Because this is a really important test Dickie," "Oh.. okay, father" I started to walk slower when his father said it was an important test, he started to get really nervous. I don't want to do this test anymore, it's way too creepy, I thought. When Dicie entered through the big doors, he saw a desk and a lady that seemed really nice. No, Johnny is alive. He's in the lot smokin' a weed. What am I thinkin'? I watched him die... right there in front of me with my own eyes. I watched the pillow sink as he finished off his last words. I screamed as I busted through the front doors of the hospital. I collapsed on the ground, ignoring all the stares I got. "Jesus, Johnny... why did you have to go into that stupid church?" Yes, keep goin' honey. "Three" I put my hand on the trigger, just to give her a scare. She ran and started opening the register. I let out an evil laugh. "Two more seconds, darlin'" She let out a sob as she handed me the cash. "Ah, there ya go!" I said as I grabbed it and belted out the door. Not even a minute later I heard the too familiar sirens. I groaned as I jumped over a pile of waste and ran through an alley, waiting, hiding, just so I could get to the phone booth. I finally felt as if they were gone, and I ran towards the booth, slowly opening the door, slippin' a coin into the slot. I dialed Darry as fast as I could. "Hello?" • 61. The Role Of Katherna In Taming Of The Shrew The play "Taming of the Shrew" starts with introducing many characters at once. Katherina is the 'shrew' pertaining to the title. She is the eldest daughter of Baptista Minola and well known to be a very shrew women which leads him to decide to prevent Bianca, his other younger and arguably better daughter, from marrying until Katherina does so, which then leads us to the plot of the story. Suitors are introduced to both of the sisters, though Katherina only has one, who goes by the name Petruchio. Petruchio is shown to be cruel and lies about Katherina's consent to the marriage, as well as telling the audience of his goals to 'tame' Katherina. In the "Taming of the Shrew," Petruchio tames Katherina by starving her, contradicting her, and depriving her of sleep. One example from the text on Petruchio tames Katherina is by starving her in Act 4: " 'Tis burnt, and so is all the meat. What dogs are these? Where is the rascal cook? Brian must learn to survive in the Canadian wilderness, and the the nature around him can end his life if he is not careful. Brian runs into many animals and his character dramatically changes throughout the novel, which changes his view on life and his situation. In the beginning of the story, Brian is a whiner and near the middle and end of the story, Brian changes and starts to realize that he is part of nature and he adapts to his surroundings! In the beginning of the story, Brian is given a Hatchet and put on a Cessna 406 Bush plane. He grudgingly gets on. He is on his way to visit his dad since his parents had a divorce. Another example of this is in chapter 15. Throughout chapter 15 it explains Brian experiencing a tornado. This puts Brian to the real test to see if he can survive. Brian thinks fast but knows that everything he worked for is gone. He started to build a new shelter and get more food. Black People Interview Report Me: Hello, Mrs.Baker–Smith, umm I'm here to interview you about being some of the first black people to live on a street called Albanus street, in the Olney neighborhood. Is that okay? Mom: Yup Me: Alright, first question is, how did you feel being one of the only blacks on your street? Mom: Well, initially when I moved on the block I was only 6 years old... maybe 7. I didn't really feel any type of way because as a child, or human being, some things are learned and experienced. I had never really been around a lot of white people, so it wasn't really taught to me that white people didn't necessarily like black people. Simply because they were black. • 71. Identity Negotiation Theory Paper Identity negotiation theory is a theory that suggests that people are constantly negotiating who they are to other people that they talk to, if even only subconsciously. Identity negotiation refers to the process through which perceivers and targets come to agreements regarding their identities Swann (2014). This essay analyzes self–identity theory, based on the facts that the theory suggests, particularly how people negotiate their feelings, respect for each other, and in many ways even their interests and disinterests, then I will critique the theory in question. First, this essay will discuss how people negotiate their feelings on a daily basis based off the theory in question. When one says hello or a similar greeting to someone else the speaker is asking (if even somewhat subconsciously) how the other person is feeling. Usually the other person will communicate back their feelings, which is answered in a pretty simplistic manner. If the person that answers the greeting says that they are doing well, then that means that they are in a good mood and are interested in driving the communication further; if that same person says that they are doing bad then that means that they're not feeling well today, but are still interested in furthering the conversation; and if a person doesn't answer the question at all, then that means that that person is probably not ...
