Spinoff Case Study
There are some questions as to whether this can all get done by February. Is that a reasonable date to
accomplish this planning, or is that a hard deadline when you are required to complete the spinoff?
The February date is a goal, but is not a hard deadline. February 1 is the beginning of NOI's fiscal
year and corresponds with the target completion of a major 2015 Governance Project deliverable,
making February both the easiest fiscal and programmatic break from NOI. NOI leadership is
meeting in December to re–evaluate whether the final spin–off timeline needs to be revised. Bob

Personal Narrative Essay : Growing Up In The Family
Even tho many are lucky to have their parents together and grow up in one family that was
altogether, I was lucky to grow in a divorced family and I say lucky because I have become stronger
because of this situation and even tho I have become stronger, I have also learned to cut off the slack
off myself. I grew up with 3 older male siblings and we were not the type to get along and share,
some of us would help each other and the older tell the younger how to survive through different
circumstances but I was left out. I grew up learning everything myself and my mom never really
listened to me and because of that now I'm used to keeping everything to myself and she wonders
why but that is not her fault. I had to survive, that's what I call it because you either had to hide the
certain special things you wanted and expect the worst out of your older brothers. There were never
any words of advice from my older brothers towards me and at the moment given I was only
allowed to see my father on the weekends. When my father said specific things he said is using big
words, and at the moment I was too young and he was very wise as he had been in my position. My
two older brothers have a different dad than my older brother and I. The time my mom was

Education : How My Father Influenced My Education
How my Father influenced my Education.
"If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn no one can stop
you."
All my life I have struggled with one specific topic through and through again, this topic I am
talking about it mathematics. Growing up math had always been a difficult topic for me. I felt that I
knew nothing about what I was learning, and worst of all the teachers would just pass me. By doing
this it made the topic in general more challenging and ten times harder to catch up.
When I would finally catch up it would be because I have "memorized" the type of problem and
would take the test. Doing this I really had no true understanding of the topic and would therefore
later forget the information and the steps I took in order to solve the problem.
During my first years in public school, I felt that if you got it you got it, and if you didn't you didn't.
I was always afraid to ask questions because I felt like I would look dumb in front of the rest of my
classmates. It just seemed like everyone else got it except for me.
This was a pretty troublesome time for me. I felt alone and desolate from everyone else in my class.
Thankfully, I had the opportunity to be given a great teacher and role model in my life who cared
not only about me, but my education as well.
This very special person in my life, is my father. Thankfully I had a person who was very intelligent
and had a lot of knowledge when it came to mathematics. Not

Personal Narrative: I Want To Move
One day my parents told me "We are moving!"
I thought "Really we have to move prom is in two weeks?!"
"But I been having a lot of fun at Green." I said in bragging voice. My parents said
"What because prom is coming up is that why you don't want to move?" they said in questioned.
"That might be one of the reasons I don't want to move." "Well it's not my problem we are going and
I want to you go to your laptop and check when Allen High School's prom is, okay?"
"Okay" I said with a sigh. So, I ran up to my room and checked when it was it on November 12,2016

Ucc-205 Case Letter
The Case of Bob and Sue is a complicated one, in the first situation they are in a furniture store. In
the furniture store, Bob and Sue were looking to purchase a living room set and they found one, but
they needed some time to check their finance before they make any decision. However, the
salesperson from the furniture store assures them that they will hold the living room set for 10 days
at $2500. He wrote down the name of the unit, price and for how long it will be held. Plus, he signed
the card and gave it to Bob. But when Bob and Sue returns to purchase the living room set on 9th

But when they get back they found someone's name Henry purchase those watches and claim that he
paid a fair price. The issue here is should they go after Gary the shop owner or they should go after
Henry and demand for their watches. In a situation as this Bob and Sue should go after the store
owner Gray. Because, if they go after Henry to recover their watches the court will deny their
request. Because Henry is a "bona fide purchaser for value" it means he purchase those watches
under the circumstances that suggest that it was a legitimate deal between Gary and him. Therefore,
Henry will acquire a legal title, which superior than the original owner. Although Gary was not the
real owner he was a merchant and he deals with similar kind of goods it gives him a voidable title to
transfer all rights. And we can find this under UCC Sec. 2–403 "power of transfer, good faith
purchase of goods; entrusting" Subd.

Examples Of Beauty And Brutality In The Book Thief
The Beauty and the Brutal The Book Thief, is a Death narrated novel by Markus Zusak. The story
takes place in Nazi Germany, 1939, where Liesel Meminger arrives on Himmel Street to start a new
life with her foster parents, Hans and Rosa Hubermann. She lives to a very old age and when Death
finally comes to take her away, he wants to tell Liesel about beauty and brutality. But what could he
tell her about beauty and brutality that she didn't know, the Book Thief had lived through it all. The
time she saw Max marching to Dachau, the time Rudy went into the Amper River to save The
Whistler, and the final moments she spent with Mama. Liesel Meminger's life had always represent
beauty in the wake of brutality. There are many reasons why Liesel's life shows beauty in the wake
of brutality, but the most significant reason is that she has beautiful connections with people, so no

considering the consequences, such as the water being Decemberish cold, which would result in him
getting hyperthermia. "Soon, he peeled off his coat and jumped in, wading to the middle of the river.
Liesel, slowing to a walk, could see the ache of each step. The painful cold." (302). He cared and
loved for Liesel so much he forgot about himself. "...He must've loved her so incredibly hard. So

Essay On War In Tim O 'Brien's' The Things They Carried
War is seen as a way for countries to gain power, but what about the people in it? For those people,
war is a curse that causes regret, war is a curse that stays with someone even after the war, and war
is a curse that makes someone do the unthinkable. One example how war is a curse is that it causes
regret. In Ambush from The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien, the story is about a veteran that
faces his regret when his young daughter asks him if he has killed anyone. Later in the story he says,
"Sometimes I forgive myself, other times I don't. In the ordinary hours of life I try not to dwell on it,
but now and then, when I'm reading a newspaper or just alone in a room, I'll look up and see the
young man coming out of the morning fog" (O'Brien 2). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In his everyday life he still dwells on the young man he killed that day. This is a curse because it is
mental hurt, or "punishment" for him killing another man. This affects him because after killing
someone, he is permanently changed. Another example how war is a curse, is that war stays with the
person even after it is over. In The Morally Injured by Tyler Boudreau, the author that is a veteran
from Afghanistan explains how his soldiers were affected by war even when they're away from it.
"When I was a rifle company commander, at least a dozen of my marines were medically discharged
after we came home from Iraq for PTSD" (Boudreau 2). This is a great example of how war is a
curse. Most of the times when veterans get home they suffer from PTSD, or post–traumatic stress
disorder. This means they are still affected and feeling the war even though they aren't in it anymore.
This affects individuals because because this stays with them the rest of their life. The last example
how war is a curse is that it makes someone do the unthinkable (killing). In The Sniper by Liam
O'Flaherty, the story takes place in Dublin, Ireland during a civil war in the

War Changes Throughout Time
When you think about war you think about fighting, allies, and death. But the idea or even meaning
of war is not the same as it was 150 years ago. The idea of war has and never will be based solely on
skill or intellect. Sure they're not going to give an untrained man a gun but the idea of war is far
more perplexed than just that. Its about honor, integrity, and discipline. War has not only changed
over the past 150 years but in the 3 or 4 years that war is actually going on. People, weapons, and
motives are all changing from the time the first boy takes a step onto the journey to finding himself.
From the first face you see to the last everything changes some good, some bad but in the end all
you can do is march forward.
War has changed in many ways one being the sensitivity of war. It has decreased from the the
moment the war starts to the very end of it. In both The Red Badge of Courage and Alls Quiet on
The Western front both Paul and Henry were excited to go and to use real guns and weapons. But in
that moment when they kill their first target it affects them on a deeper, more personal level. In The
Red Badge of Courage Henry was very excited to go to war and still went even when his mom
advised against it. He was thought he was totally prepared for anything that could happen, then he
saw his first battle and heard his first stories of battle. This made him very uneasy. When he saw the
first people being killed, some his friends, he thought it best to just give up

Taler's Adventure
Once upon a time, there was a tiger named Taler who lived in the Jungle of Mystery. The Jungle of
Mystery has flowers of many colors. Taler really liked the blue flowers that grew alongside the cliff.
That cliff looked over the waterfall. Her sister, Tara, said, "Now Taler, do not go near that cliff."
Taler heard what her sister said, but she did it anyway, and everyday Taler would get closer and
closer to the edge of the cliff. "Now Taler, do not go near that cliff!" Tara had said once more. The
next day was Tara's birthday and Taler wanted to give her a flower that grew a little bit below the top
of the cliff. She reached and reached for the flower, but could not get to it. So, later in the day when

"Oh, so the little pip squeak can speak. How about that," said Leo. Beau spoke up, "Hey that's not

the bushes and scared Leo. It scared Leo so bad he ran away in fear. Later that day, the four animals
were hungry so they went to Peter's home to eat. As they were walking to Peter's house, they saw
Leo had gotten his paw stuck in a snake hole and could not get it out. Peter, Mila, and Beau wanted
to leave him there because of how he treated them, but Taler didn't want to. "Come on guys, let's

They all gave in and said "Okay, let's help him," After they helped Leo he was so grateful and
promised to never be mean to them or anyone ever again. Taler told Leo how she had gotten to the
Forest of Wonder and told him that she is from the Jungle of Mystery. Leo said that he knew how to

Personal Narrative: My Hero's Walk
There are certain folks who have a "walk." For those who don't know what I mean, everyone has a
particular stroll; a gait that is their very own. Models are taught to walk the catwalk, showing off
how beautiful they are, or someone with an air of confidence shows it off by each step they take. J,
shortly before his 4th birthday, had already developed his own particular "stroll." When you saw
him walk by you, one could immediately detect an "I don't give a rat's droppings what you think"
vibe aura around him, even though as he got older, I soon figured out that it wasn't a matter of
confidence. He was just in his own world, and if you weren't part of it, it mattered very little to him.

getting through the jaundice situation as well as the broken leg. Since he was born with a heart

the mental retardation that usually comes along with it. Of course there wasn't a way to see how

What Is My Favorite Season Of Autumn
Bare Branches
When autumn begins the atmosphere is different, the air is crisp and the ground is crunchy with
leaves. There's a heavy light that falls over the earth, red and orange light hit the hilltops just
perfectly at sunset. The beauty in autumn is one I will never get over, the memories it brings when I
feel the cold air hit my skin is all worth the leaves falling and showing their bare branches. Autumn
is my favorite season because of the weather, the beauty it has, and the comfort it brings to me.
Finally getting relief from the hot summer sun is one of my favorite reasons why I adore autumn.
I'm always anxious waiting for the day I can shut off my air conditioner and open a window to
reveal the sweat breeze. The neutral temperature is perfect for outdoor activities. Like grilling for a
BBQ, taking a long walk or hike, or playing some games outside. Breathing in the natural air always
feels amazing, it makes it easier. Sweating is not ideal, so when its autumn and the hot weather is
finally gone I feel a sense of relief that I'm not drenched from head to toe.
My favorite thing to do during fall is watch the leaves change colors, and then fall to reveal the
beautiful bare branches. The vibrant colors that bounce off the leaves make my mood shift. I ...

Why Girls Are Dumb
Why Girls Are Dumb Girls are dumb for a million reasons. What causes girls to become selfish,
fake, annoying bitches? Well, the world may never know. Why are girls so different from boys?
They are not that different are They? Girls are dumb because instead of confronting people to their
face, girls hide behind anything they can. Girls are also dumb because they choose to see the bad in
everyone instead of the good and they also have a habit of being afraid to admit when we are wrong.
They make bullies out of themselves, sometimes not knowing it. Girls always tend to hide behind
anything they can so they do not have to actually go and talk about their problems to another girl
face–to–face. Talking to girls face to face is a whole lot better than messaging them via text, email,
snapchat, facebook messenger, or even calling them. Nothing is the same as face–to–face because
when you are with a person face–to–face you can see their reaction, their facial expressions, and
tears. Straying away from the main point, but, why are girls so scared of those reactions? That is
what makes us human. Having emotions is what makes us who we are. Who would we be without
emotions? We would not be human. God created us with emotions with emotions for a reason. Back
on track, girls that do not confront people face–to–face are scared and insecure of them own selves,
so they try to make others insecure about themselves by talking crap about other people but being
too scared to talk to them face–to–face. Sometimes, girls think they are doing the right thing by
confronting someone through via phone texting or calling, because confronting them through phone
is better than not confronting them at all, but in reality, it does not help anything at all. Confronting
them through phone is almost as bad as not confronting anyone at all. Facetime is still not the same
as face to face. Another reasons why girls are so dumb is because they choose to see the bad in
everyone instead of the good. Yes, people make bad decisions sometimes, sometimes they do things
they regret, and, again, it is what makes us human. Nobody became who they are today without
making any mistakes. Mistakes can mold people into a better, smarter and wiser person if

Suicidal Ideation And Mental Distress Analysis
"The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human
beings and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to
murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own."–Aldous Huxley. War is the most evil necessity of
the world. It is often meant to create peace by causing chaos. When soldiers are at war, we all know
how the families are affected, but what about the soldier, the ones that are fighting the battles? How
does war affect them after the war and combat is over? When a soldier is done fighting war other

questions and many more. This article discussed research conducted by these two. The authors
review 13 articles related to the study of the mental health effects that war have on Asian Americans
and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Veterans during the Vietnam War. The article also talks about the
causes of these problems. The article discusses the cases of how "Studies have shown that veterans
compared to the general population are at a greater risk for a variety of mental health problems,
including substance abuse, post–traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), homelessness, and mortality from
suicide thus making them potentially vulnerable group" (1438). The authors have discovered that
one of the main reasons that trigger these mental problems is racism within their own troops. The
article goes on to discuss how, during the Vietnam War, AAPI veterans experienced racism and
discrimination not only from their own service members, but from the enemy Vietnamese. A survey
was conducted that consisted of forty–four AAPI veterans, and over half of them reported some sort
of racism and discrimination, whether it was feeling as though they were

Not

Essay On The Jungle Of Mystery
Drew Meyer

Comparing Fast Food And Little Dread Riding Hood
Both of Sharon Singer's paintings, "Fast Food" and "Little Dread Riding Hood", represent the two
different levels of maturity of The Brothers Grimm's "Little Red Cap". The first of Singer's painting,
"Fast Food" depicts a dark and uncanny scene with a naked doll lying at the foot of bloody wolf
paws. The undressed doll in Singer's bleak painting embodies the youth and vulnerability of Little
Red Cap during her first encounters with a wolf. The Brothers Grimm describes Little Red Cap as a
"dear little girl" loved by anyone who "set eyes on her" and that she "had no idea what a wicked
beast [the wolf] was" during their first meeting (Tatar 13, 14). Therefore, the vulnerability and
innocence of Little Red Cap is connected to the defenseless and innocent nature of the unclothed
doll that lies at the foot of the wolf. However, the wolf's bloody paws under a red cloth signify the
deed of devouring the young girl had already taken place. Consequentially, Little Red Cap was not
able to defend herself, and only survives from the bravery of a huntsman. The title "Fast Food"
symbolizes Little Red Cap's inability to defend herself at the young age and exemplifies that the
young girl was not a challenge for the experience wolf.

Examples Of Beauty And Brutality In The Book Thief
The Beauty and the Brutal The Book Thief, is a Death narrated novel by Markus Zusak. The story

Suicidal Ideation And Mental Distress Analysis

beings and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to

the world. It is often meant to create peace by causing chaos. When soldiers are at war, we all know
how the families are affected, but what about the soldier, the ones that are fighting the battles? How

Difference Between Poverty And A Women On The Street
Through exploring the writings of What is poverty and A Women on the Street, poverty is defined in
many different ways. The struggle that comes with poverty is evident in the everyday life of people
who are living in poverty. Some of the hardships resulting from poverty are the worries of everyday
life. As if the worries of everyday life were not enough while someone is not poor, being poor brings
out new worries. The worries that can come from poverty include, where the next meal will come
from or the health care that a person may need when they are ill. The hardships of poverty can be a
result of: laziness, expense problems, and choices that have affected the past, present, and future of
those who are living in poverty. In What is Poverty, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A solution for those who choose poverty as a choice is to show them that life can be better with
some material things and the values that they hold may become improved if they show that they
have motivation to make their lives better. Another solution for those who struggle with poverty
because of drugs and alcohol can be to get them involved in support groups that are free, to show
that they have a chance to get sober and to quit being lazy and relying on substances to think they
have a good life. For those who may have a problem finding a job or keeping one, there could be
free interview or resume classes available at community centers to help them have a better chance at
a job that they truly want. Also, a major solution for those who struggle with expense problems
could be to become educated on family planning. Family planning is planning on how many
children hey should have based on the finances and resources that a couple has to support a certain
amount of children. By using family planning people will be able to hopefully guarantee themselves
and their children a good life in a desired community. Poverty is a struggle for many people

Thank You For Being Expendable Analysis
War is a life altering experience; not only for the soldiers who served, but for their families as well.
Family members want to help their struggling loved one, but fail because they do not know what the
war is like. They do not understand what it is like to watch a friend or family member die get shot
and killed. These events are traumatizing. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a result of these events.
In most cases PTSD affects the individual more than the family. Author's like Christine Zilka and
Colby Buzzell understand this. In the short story "Bile" and the editorial "Thank You for Being
Expendable," the authors use their past experiences to show just how hard PTSD is on an individual
because of the experience of war and the struggle to adapt to home life.

Zilka explains this in her short story. In paragraph one, the narrator states that "[her] father became
restless... [and] addicted to war." Zilka gives examples of this later in the story when the narrator
states, "[My father] could not turn back, because behind him were the Japanese army, the North
Korean army, poverty, and abuse." These two quotes show how the narrator's father's life has been
affected by the war. The second quote is an example of one of the times he was seeing visions from
the war. This is common for PTSD patients. The narrator and her brother do not understand why
their father is seeing things or why he is constantly yelling at them for minute offenses. Buzzell
understands this about PTSD as well. In his editorial, he writes "I just wanted help... The wait was
long... Someone would pick up and either put me on hold again or transfer

How Does Clark Try To Remember The Past In Station 11
Station Eleven is a science fiction novel written by Emily St. John Mandel. The book is about a
society that crumbles to pieces after being struck with the Georgian Flu. The book has a non linear
timeline as it jumps from the past, present, and future. The reader follows many individual
characters in their walks of life. In Station Eleven the characters undergo traumatic events, some of
the characters find themselves clinging on to the past and some characters try to forget the past. In
the book Clark is Arthur's close friend. Both Arthur and Clark attempt to make it in the acting world,
Clark ends up taking the position of a job training executive before the collapse. After the collapse
he finds himself stranded in the Severn City Airport. After he spends some time in the airport he
begins to collect technology and other items that exemplified the past. He pulls all of the collection
together to form the Museum of Civilization and curates it. Him creating the museum is an example
of him attempting to remember the past. Clark often does little things to remember the past, on page

Spinoff Case Study

  • 1. Spinoff Case Study There are some questions as to whether this can all get done by February. Is that a reasonable date to accomplish this planning, or is that a hard deadline when you are required to complete the spinoff? The February date is a goal, but is not a hard deadline. February 1 is the beginning of NOI's fiscal year and corresponds with the target completion of a major 2015 Governance Project deliverable, making February both the easiest fiscal and programmatic break from NOI. NOI leadership is meeting in December to re–evaluate whether the final spin–off timeline needs to be revised. Bob Giles is a good election administrator, and a Republican. These indicators map to our long–term impact goals of improved voter education, fewer problems at the polls, and increased voter participation. Within those states, we generally try to build relationships with leadership in the respective state associations of election administrators. Leadership in these associations are generally voted upon by the broader body of their colleagues. This means that they are generally trusted validators for our work. Engaging state associations also provides existing infrastructure to distribute materials and foster learning communities within a state. Personal Narrative Essay : Growing Up In The Family Even tho many are lucky to have their parents together and grow up in one family that was altogether, I was lucky to grow in a divorced family and I say lucky because I have become stronger because of this situation and even tho I have become stronger, I have also learned to cut off the slack off myself. I grew up with 3 older male siblings and we were not the type to get along and share, some of us would help each other and the older tell the younger how to survive through different circumstances but I was left out. I grew up learning everything myself and my mom never really listened to me and because of that now I'm used to keeping everything to myself and she wonders why but that is not her fault. I had to survive, that's what I call it because you either had to hide the certain special things you wanted and expect the worst out of your older brothers. There were never any words of advice from my older brothers towards me and at the moment given I was only allowed to see my father on the weekends. When my father said specific things he said is using big words, and at the moment I was too young and he was very wise as he had been in my position. My two older brothers have a different dad than my older brother and I. • 13. Education : How My Father Influenced My Education How my Father influenced my Education. "If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn no one can stop you." All my life I have struggled with one specific topic through and through again, this topic I am talking about it mathematics. Growing up math had always been a difficult topic for me. I felt that I knew nothing about what I was learning, and worst of all the teachers would just pass me. By doing this it made the topic in general more challenging and ten times harder to catch up. When I would finally catch up it would be because I have "memorized" the type of problem and would take the test. Doing this I really had no true understanding of the topic and would therefore later forget the information and the steps I took in order to solve the problem. During my first years in public school, I felt that if you got it you got it, and if you didn't you didn't. I was always afraid to ask questions because I felt like I would look dumb in front of the rest of my classmates. It just seemed like everyone else got it except for me. This was a pretty troublesome time for me. I felt alone and desolate from everyone else in my class. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to be given a great teacher and role model in my life who cared not only about me, but my education as well. This very special person in my life, is my father. Thankfully I had a person who was very intelligent and had a lot of knowledge when it came to mathematics. Not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Because, if they go after Henry to recover their watches the court will deny their request. Because Henry is a "bona fide purchaser for value" it means he purchase those watches under the circumstances that suggest that it was a legitimate deal between Gary and him. Therefore, Henry will acquire a legal title, which superior than the original owner. • 29. Essay On War In Tim O 'Brien's' The Things They Carried War is seen as a way for countries to gain power, but what about the people in it? For those people, war is a curse that causes regret, war is a curse that stays with someone even after the war, and war is a curse that makes someone do the unthinkable. One example how war is a curse is that it causes regret. In Ambush from The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien, the story is about a veteran that faces his regret when his young daughter asks him if he has killed anyone. Later in the story he says, "Sometimes I forgive myself, other times I don't. In the ordinary hours of life I try not to dwell on it, but now and then, when I'm reading a newspaper or just alone in a room, I'll look up and see the young man coming out of the morning fog" (O'Brien 2). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In his everyday life he still dwells on the young man he killed that day. This is a curse because it is mental hurt, or "punishment" for him killing another man. This affects him because after killing someone, he is permanently changed. Another example how war is a curse, is that war stays with the person even after it is over. In The Morally Injured by Tyler Boudreau, the author that is a veteran from Afghanistan explains how his soldiers were affected by war even when they're away from it. "When I was a rifle company commander, at least a dozen of my marines were medically discharged after we came home from Iraq for PTSD" (Boudreau 2). This is a great example of how war is a curse. Most of the times when veterans get home they suffer from PTSD, or post–traumatic stress disorder. This means they are still affected and feeling the war even though they aren't in it anymore. This affects individuals because because this stays with them the rest of their life. The last example how war is a curse is that it makes someone do the unthinkable (killing). • 33. War Changes Throughout Time When you think about war you think about fighting, allies, and death. But the idea or even meaning of war is not the same as it was 150 years ago. The idea of war has and never will be based solely on skill or intellect. Sure they're not going to give an untrained man a gun but the idea of war is far more perplexed than just that. Its about honor, integrity, and discipline. War has not only changed over the past 150 years but in the 3 or 4 years that war is actually going on. People, weapons, and motives are all changing from the time the first boy takes a step onto the journey to finding himself. From the first face you see to the last everything changes some good, some bad but in the end all you can do is march forward. War has changed in many ways one being the sensitivity of war. It has decreased from the the moment the war starts to the very end of it. In both The Red Badge of Courage and Alls Quiet on The Western front both Paul and Henry were excited to go and to use real guns and weapons. But in that moment when they kill their first target it affects them on a deeper, more personal level. In The Red Badge of Courage Henry was very excited to go to war and still went even when his mom advised against it. He was thought he was totally prepared for anything that could happen, then he saw his first battle and heard his first stories of battle. This made him very uneasy. When he saw the first people being killed, some his friends, he thought it best to just give up ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Models are taught to walk the catwalk, showing off how beautiful they are, or someone with an air of confidence shows it off by each step they take. J, shortly before his 4th birthday, had already developed his own particular "stroll." When you saw him walk by you, one could immediately detect an "I don't give a rat's droppings what you think" vibe aura around him, even though as he got older, I soon figured out that it wasn't a matter of confidence. He was just in his own world, and if you weren't part of it, it mattered very little to him. HIs walk was on full display as he strolled down the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 61. Why Girls Are Dumb Why Girls Are Dumb Girls are dumb for a million reasons. What causes girls to become selfish, fake, annoying bitches? Well, the world may never know. Why are girls so different from boys? They are not that different are They? Girls are dumb because instead of confronting people to their face, girls hide behind anything they can. Girls are also dumb because they choose to see the bad in everyone instead of the good and they also have a habit of being afraid to admit when we are wrong. They make bullies out of themselves, sometimes not knowing it. Girls always tend to hide behind anything they can so they do not have to actually go and talk about their problems to another girl face–to–face. Talking to girls face to face is a whole lot better than messaging them via text, email, snapchat, facebook messenger, or even calling them. Nothing is the same as face–to–face because when you are with a person face–to–face you can see their reaction, their facial expressions, and tears. Straying away from the main point, but, why are girls so scared of those reactions? That is what makes us human. Having emotions is what makes us who we are. Who would we be without emotions? We would not be human. God created us with emotions with emotions for a reason. Back on track, girls that do not confront people face–to–face are scared and insecure of them own selves, so they try to make others insecure about themselves by talking crap about other people but being too scared to talk to them face–to–face. Sometimes, girls think they are doing the right thing by confronting someone through via phone texting or calling, because confronting them through phone is better than not confronting them at all, but in reality, it does not help anything at all. Confronting them through phone is almost as bad as not confronting anyone at all. Facetime is still not the same as face to face. Another reasons why girls are so dumb is because they choose to see the bad in everyone instead of the good. Yes, people make bad decisions sometimes, sometimes they do things they regret, and, again, it is what makes us human. Nobody became who they are today without making any mistakes. Suicidal Ideation And Mental Distress Analysis "The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human beings and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own."–Aldous Huxley. War is the most evil necessity of the world. It is often meant to create peace by causing chaos. • 97. Comparing Fast Food And Little Dread Riding Hood Both of Sharon Singer's paintings, "Fast Food" and "Little Dread Riding Hood", represent the two different levels of maturity of The Brothers Grimm's "Little Red Cap". The first of Singer's painting, "Fast Food" depicts a dark and uncanny scene with a naked doll lying at the foot of bloody wolf paws. The undressed doll in Singer's bleak painting embodies the youth and vulnerability of Little Red Cap during her first encounters with a wolf. The Brothers Grimm describes Little Red Cap as a "dear little girl" loved by anyone who "set eyes on her" and that she "had no idea what a wicked beast [the wolf] was" during their first meeting (Tatar 13, 14). Therefore, the vulnerability and innocence of Little Red Cap is connected to the defenseless and innocent nature of the unclothed doll that lies at the foot of the wolf. However, the wolf's bloody paws under a red cloth signify the deed of devouring the young girl had already taken place. Consequentially, Little Red Cap was not able to defend herself, and only survives from the bravery of a huntsman. The title "Fast Food" symbolizes Little Red Cap's inability to defend herself at the young age and exemplifies that the young girl was not a challenge for the experience wolf. ... They have been after me ever since September 2089. "Why are they after me," you ask? The year was 2088. It was a sunny, summer day in my suburban town of Columbia. Soon, dark clouds rose over the horizon. " Help!" my sister Ashley yelled. "What's the matter?" I replied as I ran frantically into her room. There was no response. Ashley's face was a shade of purple that sent a shiver down my spine when I saw her. She wasn't breathing. I rushed to the hospital in my hovercar. Meanwhile, Ashley was in the passenger–seat with a l lifeless look to her. I thought for sure she was dead and I wished I could have saved her. Little did I know, this would become a reality in a couple months. "She's not breathing," the doctor informed the other nurses in the room. "Do something!" I replied helplessly. The doctor responded,"I can't, I'm sorry but your sister is dead." After four months of mourning, it was Ashley's funeral. I kept blaming her death on me. " What if I would have gotten to her room and hospital faster?" I thought. The doctors could have saved her. However, she was dead and I couldn't do anything to help her, or so I thought. When soldiers are at war, we all know how the families are affected, but what about the soldier, the ones that are fighting the battles? How does war affect them after the war and combat is over? The struggle that comes with poverty is evident in the everyday life of people who are living in poverty. Some of the hardships resulting from poverty are the worries of everyday life. As if the worries of everyday life were not enough while someone is not poor, being poor brings out new worries. The worries that can come from poverty include, where the next meal will come from or the health care that a person may need when they are ill. The hardships of poverty can be a result of: laziness, expense problems, and choices that have affected the past, present, and future of those who are living in poverty. In What is Poverty, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A solution for those who choose poverty as a choice is to show them that life can be better with some material things and the values that they hold may become improved if they show that they have motivation to make their lives better. Another solution for those who struggle with poverty because of drugs and alcohol can be to get them involved in support groups that are free, to show that they have a chance to get sober and to quit being lazy and relying on substances to think they have a good life. For those who may have a problem finding a job or keeping one, there could be free interview or resume classes available at community centers to help them have a better chance at a job that they truly want. For the baseball glove I enjoyed how she actually had it with her to present exactly how the glove fit her in her life. For example, how her name was written on the side of it and how that made it personal to her. Even though the Made in China speech did not have the physical object, the way the he brought humor to the idea made it very entertaining. Both speeches were very easy to follow because of the ways that they were structured. Family members want to help their struggling loved one, but fail because they do not know what the war is like. They do not understand what it is like to watch a friend or family member die get shot and killed. These events are traumatizing. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a result of these events. In most cases PTSD affects the individual more than the family. Author's like Christine Zilka and Colby Buzzell understand this. In the short story "Bile" and the editorial "Thank You for Being Expendable," the authors use their past experiences to show just how hard PTSD is on an individual because of the experience of war and the struggle to adapt to home life. In paragraph one, the narrator states that "[her] father became restless... [and] addicted to war." Zilka gives examples of this later in the story when the narrator states, "[My father] could not turn back, because behind him were the Japanese army, the North Korean army, poverty, and abuse." These two quotes show how the narrator's father's life has been affected by the war. The second quote is an example of one of the times he was seeing visions from the war. This is common for PTSD patients. The narrator and her brother do not understand why their father is seeing things or why he is constantly yelling at them for minute offenses. Buzzell understands this about PTSD as well. In his editorial, he writes "I just wanted help... The wait was long... Someone would pick up and either put me on hold again or transfer ... She finds me at my desk staring at my computer in a daze yet again. She knows I have been here for quite a while again today. The shreds of loose leaf paper on the floor that the dog has had a field day with are a dead giveaway. "Drink enough coke, mama?" she says laughing under her breath as she walks out of the room. I look over to see the three diet Dr. Pepper cans lined up in a row on my desk next to a plate that still has bits of the homemade fudge cake on it. "It's true." I think to myself. Then it hits me I have only got one more week until that assignment is due. Suddenly I've got knots in my stomach. Just thinking about it gets me worried. So, I tell myself that after church while everyone else is napping I will sit down and make myself come up with something. I tell myself there has got to be a story in my brain worth telling.
