2. The groups production company is a fictional one called BCES Productions, each letter
standing as an initial for each member of the band. It was used in my groups AS work
giving it continuity to this years work as well as recognition. It was created on Adobe
Photoshop CS6 with a glowing effect when it is put against a black background which
does look professional. The group all are impressed with it and are proud to have it as
our ‘record label’. This logo will also be used on our magazine poster as we thought it
would look effective
We believe the logo is aesthetically
pleasing as well as a realistic one that
you could imagine being used in real life
record companies which is the whole
idea. Its also unique because as I
mentioned before, it includes an initial
for each band member which makes it
more personal to the group.
3. For this years production, one of our tasks was to create a logo for our band to company the
music video and one that would be visible on our digipak as well as other promotions. We took
inspiration from the 1975’s rectangle logo, we created an upside down triangle with a glowing
effect which does have similarities but it would do as our band is very similar in style and
execution. The whole idea of a simple logo like our design does provide an enigma to the
audience as well as connoting an idea that the band is the genre of Alternative Rock/Indie.
The logo is consistent across our ancillary tasks,
magazine and digipak as well as our music video which
enables the audience to identify the logo and associate
it with us. The logo was created on Adobe Photoshop
CS6 with not a huge amount of trouble. Effects were
added to the edges so it has more of an effective and
stands out more. The logo was a simple part of our
production but one which we as a group think has paid
off as well as be one of the centre parts of our
production
