2. HOW YOUR PLANNED MUSIC VIDEO MEETS THE CODES AND
CONVENTIONS OF THE GENRE
The music videos for House music tend to have messages about dancing, love,
sexuality, and drugs all underpined with repetitive arrangements and a
steady bass drum beat.
Another code&convention of a House music video is that it tend to have scantily
clad women doing sexy and seductive dance moves. Also, they are usually
dressed in clothes that expose their bodies and clothesthat will attract a
male audience.
A house music video sometimes has a group of people doing dance moves
(freestyle) in a circle and people watching them showcase their talent
because the theme of the songs are usually about dance of the beat of the
song is supposed to motivate a person to dance.
Similarly another code&convention of a house music is that it will have a
shot where a lot of people are dancing in a club, and the DJ is performing
this is usually a reference to the home of dance/house music, Ibiza.
3. HOW IT WILL TARGET YOUR CHOSEN AUDIENCE
The unique selling point of the music video is the ability to link the visuals (
mise-en-scene) with the lyrics of the song. The main theme behind my
music video is to create an idea of escapism, and be able to leave
behind your problems for the weekend by going to a different country or
a continent. As not only the plot sounds interesting but also the music
would be shot through the point of view. This would certainly target at
the audience as it would create an idea that they are present at certainly
event.

Defected in the House
Events
Defected In The House events bring some of the world's biggest DJs to
clubbers around the globe, with regular events at London's Ministry of
Sound, Singapore's Zouk and Jakarta's Dragon Fly. Defected In The
House also has a Saturday residency at Pacha in Ibiza throughout the
summer season (June – September).
To date, Defected has released more than 300 singles from artists such
as Bob Sinclar, Dennis Ferrer and Martin Solveig.

7. ACTORS
Problem: It could be very difficult to bring all of the actors together, as my
friends would have exams during the time when I am planning to shoot
the music video, especially the scenes at Moscow. Another problem-
finding a teacher that would not mind being included in the music
video.
Solution: I have created a group on the social platform- Facebook, where all
the actors, that would be included would let me know when they are
available over the course of the three weeks that I am going to spend in
Moscow. An issue with the member of staff being included is much
harder, as it’s most likely I would get rejected by most of the teachers
partly as the process of filming would time-consuming.
8. LOCATION
• Problem: I have planned to film one the scenes inside the airport,
however, it could be seen as an issue with the authorities.
• Solution: I may have to contact the customer service of the airport, from
where I would be flying from. Another solution, could possibly be to
recreate this particular location- airport, however it would be unlikely as
it would be time consuming as well as expensive. However, the most
sensible solution would be to change the visual content of the music
video, and shoot the scene somewhere else.
9. WEATHER/LIGHTING
• Problem: As most of the video would be done in Moscow, however, I
would be very much dependent on the weather as it could easily snow
one day and rain in the other.
• Solution: Look at the forecast in the area where I am planning to shoot
the video, and make sure that the equipment is charged and ready
beforehand.
