3. IT BEGUN 800 YEARS BEFORE THE BIRTH OF CHRIST.
Hesiod was a Greek
poet generally
thought by scholars to
have been active
between 750 and 650
BC, around the same
time as Homer.
The Greek poet Homer was born
sometime between the 12th and
8th centuries BC, possibly
somewhere on the coast of Asia
Minor. He is famous for the epic
poems The Iliad and The Odyssey,
which have had an enormous
effect on Western culture, but very
little is known about their alleged

5. SOPHOCLES
(born c. 496 BC, Colonus, near Athens [Greece]—died
406, Athens), with Aeschylus and Euripides, one of
classical Athens' three great tragic playwrights. The
best known of his 123 dramas is Oedipus the King.

This democracy differed from our modern
democracy, because only the adult male citizens
have the right participate in the decision that
making process. The rest of the community
doesn't have the right for what I mentioned
above .
Athens was also an imperial power, as it the head
of the so –called Delian League of more than 100
city states.
Tyrants were overthrown from the major Greece
cities by 500BC.
