The Xiangtan Shaoshan Tourist Area is located at the junction of
Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan. It is the hometown of Comrade Mao
Zedong, the great leader of the Chinese people.
The main attractions of Xiangtan Shaoshan Tourist Area include Mao
Zedong’s former residence, Mao Zedong bronze statue, Mao Zedong

Historical evolution
The Shaoshan Railway, which was completed at the end of 1967,
provides convenient transportation conditions for Shaoshan tourism.
From 1968 to 1980, a number of service facilities such as Comrade
Mao Zedong Memorial Hall, Shaoshan Railway Station, Shaoshan

Peak
Also known as Xianding Peak, it is one of the seventy-seven peaks of
Nanyue. It is located in the southern part of the Xiangshan tourist

of the scenic spot. “The peak of the peaks” is one of the eight scenic
spots in Shaoshan .
Yunmen Temple
Yunmen Temple, also known as Shibei Temple, is located in the
northeast corner of Xiangxiang City in the Xiangshan Tourist Area of
Xiangtan. It was built in the second year of Song Emperor (1050). The
Ming and Qing Dynasties have been rebuilt several times. Provincial
key cultural relics protection units. After reconstruction, the area is

Train: Shaoshan Railway Station is the terminal station, located in

Bus: The bus station of Qingxi Town in Shaoshan City Center starts at
