4. During the photo shoot in my preliminary task I learned about all
the problems that can come up when you try and get the right
picture for your magazine. I found out how hard it was to direct the
model and that the lighting and the setting is very important when
taking the pictures. I feel that the photos that I took for my main
task compared to my Preliminary Task where of a higher quality as
I felt it was important that the photos where good as the readers
said that was the first thing they see when looking at the
magazine.
As my skills in Photoshop and InDesign got better I felt the quality
of my photos and of my media product was going up. Looking at
my front cover on my preliminary task I feel it looks unprofessional
and it doesn't look like a real school magazine for example my
cover-lines are hard to read and don't have a short blurb telling
you what they are about. the fact my image doesn't take up the
majority of the page makes it look unrealistic and leaves a lots of
blank space. When I went on to do my main task i learnt how to
use the software more which helped me to produce a more
realistic media product.
