The band will be in
different highest and
different distance from
each other to give a
indie- rock look to the
magazine I am trying
to represent.
The band will be
wearing dark colours
along with pastel
colours so that the
band stand out on the
magazine. This is to
show what kind of
band they are and to
show the type of
magazine I am trying
to represent.
I will take photos in a
number of different shot
and angles and see what
one fits the magazine the
best.
I will use shots such as long
shots, mid shots and close
up shots and high and low
angle shots.
I will take shots to convey
the youth of the band and
to convey the success the
band in the past months.
The different shots will also
link with the coverlines that
will be on cover of the
magazine.
Shots taken against
plain backgrounds to
be well lit and I will
use a flash if the room
is too dark without it.
This will give the
photos a more
professional look and
will help make the
photos and magazine
look like other
magazines.
I will take photos
using natural light to
see if the photos look
more professional or
less professional with
natural light.
I will use pale white
walls and take
photos against the
blank background
so it creates a
professional studio
look. By doing this
makes it easy to
read the Coverlines
around the
magazine.
Shot can be taking
while the band are
performing to show
the band in action
and to go with the
theme of the
magazine.
After I have decide on
which photo I am going to
use I will try out the
different areas I may put
the photo at.
The photo will take up
most of the space on the
page so that there is no
white space on the page I
will leave room on the
page for the masthead
and slogan of the
magazine.
My photo will be in the
center of the magazine
cover so that if stands out
on the magazine.
I will smooth blemishes on
the models, and I will fix
any shiny areas on the
models or on the
background.
I will use Photoshop to
adjust the photo to make
the photo look more like
it’s for a music magazine.
Crop around the image to
see how the photo will fit
right on to the magazine.
I want the magazine to
resemble other popular
music magazine that are
already out there so the
editing needs to be
seamless.

I will use the same
models that I used for my
cover page so that it
realates to the coverlines
and double page spread.
I will have different shots
of the band to show there
different personalitys of
each member of the
band.
I will have different artist
on the cover page so that
the magazine looks more
professional and more
realistic.

The lighting most be unobtrusive
so it is professional looking and I
will exprement with using natural
lighteing.
As most of my shots will be taken
inside I will rely on using artrifical
lighting and the flash of the
camera to brighten the shot up.
I will use pale white walls and
take photos against the blank

professional studio look.
