2. Fade to white has been used in the opening
clip, the fade to white conveys the emotion
between the flies and the Zebra. They are
questioning him on why he has stripes ect.
Also Inserts of film logos have been added to
convey the companies name and who has
funded the film. Also text overlays of the
actors names have been used to show who
starred in the movie, the names of the actors
will show that the film is well scripted.

3. A fade to black has also been used, When the
photo is taken at the race the fade to black
sets the trailer to another scene. Fade to
blacks are often used in film trailer as it is the
most common editing technique.

4. Costume of the bright blue racing gear is used to
draw more attention to the Zebra, Even though
he would have enough attention on him already.
The location of the racing track is unusual as we
usually see Zebras in the wild, However the
racing track sets the Zebra to be dominant to be
his own personality. Which would draw the
attention of young children they would want the
Zebra to win the race and would want to see how
the Zebra got there in the first place.

5. To begin with the crane shot is used to show
how the Zebra isn’t supposed to be on a
farm. He is supposed to be in Africa. This
would draw attention to the movie as unusual
happenings draw the most attention due to
its spontaneity.
In addition to this they have used a close up
image of all the animals to show that the
animals are the main characters in the film, If
the animals were in a far away wide shot then
you would not be able to see their features.

6. Non diegetic sound is used in the beginning when
the flies are speaking but it turns to Diegetic
sound when the camera moves to them.
The soundtrack is calming music which is
commonly featured within family film trailers as
the family genre are suitable for children, if they
were to use rock or suspense music then it would
not suit the family film genre, as the music would
be too harsh for the tone of the film.

7. The dialogue in the trailer creates some
humour within the trailer, this however has
been done to draw the attention of adults as
well as young children.
