2. Sound:
To begin with, there is use of a voice over
which adds more meaning to the trailer and
adds extra sections to the film trailer.
Then there is a soundtrack which is a soft
sounding track which could connote a
journey, dog film etc.
Finally the is a lot of dialogue in the trailer
âcats rule and dogs droolâ this is a common
phrase which is said by many young
children so they could relate to this and
they would want to watch the film because
of this.
3. Camera:
Depth of field was used when they were
leaving the dog. This was used to show
how we feel sorry for the dog. It would
make us want to watch the film as we
would want to know what happens to the
dog in the end.
In addition to this low angles were used
which is common for dog films as they
need to be able to see the dogs face
clearly.
4. Editing:
In the beginning there is an insert of the company
âDisneyâ logo. By adding an insert of the Disney logo
we would want to watch the film as the company
make very successful movies.
Straight cuts are used throughout the trailer between all
the animals to show that they are all the main
character and not one of them takes over the
spotlight.
There also is another insert âtwo thumbs upâ
âmasterpieceâ this shows how successful and good
the film is, this would make me want to watch the
movie as the critics think that its good.
5. Mise En Scene;
The lighting tends to be fairly light which
connotes that the film is happy.
The location of the forest shows how
house cats and dogs can have a wild
side to.
