Founded in 1940 as a barbecue restaurant
operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald
McDonald’s Corporation dates back to 1955 when Ray Kroc, a multi-mixer
salesman, franchised a hamburger restaurant from the McDonald Brothers.
It became a household name in just 10 years
by expanding more than 700 restaurants in
U.S.
