1 Explain the different types and components of shopping malls.
Answer : Types :
Neighborhood center
A neighborhood center in the form of a strip mall, in Cornelius, Oregon
Neighborhood centers are small-scale malls serving the local neighborhood. They typically have a
supermarket or a drugstore as an anchor, and are commonly arranged in a strip mall format.
Community center
Community centers (or community malls) are larger than neighborhood centers, and offer a wider
range of goods. They usually feature two anchor stores which are larger than that of a neighborhood
center's, e.g. a discount department store.
Regional center
2 Explain different models for malls.
Answer : There are many models for malls. The provision of more entertainment options in malls,
Indian retailers now have vastly enhanced their ability to increase sales. Till a couple of years back,
street markets and bazaars were the top performers in the retail space, and they cornered a huge
chunk of the overall sales in the sector. However, traditional markets now have to imitate malls by
creating a better overall shopping experience for attracting potential customers.

design team creatively re-envision the future use of the shopping mall and vacant mall spaces.
