TV adverts – research assignment
In order to get access to cameras, you must do the following things. This
work will contribute to the Research and Planning mark you will receive for the
A2 coursework unit.
1. Set up a new blog – with your name and the topic in the title of the blog
and the blog address (e.g. Rob Robertson’s TV advert production blog
http://robrobertsonstvadvertblog.blogspot.com )
2. Embed some TV adverts from youtube which you wish to comment on
– minimum of 5, maximum 20 (the amount of adverts that you analyse
will impact on your Research & Planning mark for A2 coursework and
will impact on the range of things you can discuss in the A2 exam in
summer 2011).
3. For each of the adverts, answer the list of set questions below –
answers to be pasted onto your blog.
4. Write a script – following the style demonstrated in the reading material
5. Draw out a storyboard – with a minimum of 25 frames
6. Photograph the storyboard and import to computer
7. Post the storyboard images onto your blog
This work must be done by the time of the next lesson in order for you to
access the cameras – assuming you work to the deadline, next lesson you
come to class to show the storyboard and pick up a camera and then go to
shoot the advert.
