  2. 2. Conventions of Film<br />Kick ass: In kick ass Dave Lizewski is a normal teenager that becomes a superhero through choice. Don Brown is similar to this film because he has a home made costume and fights off enemies.<br />Indiana Jones: This film is similar to our film because Indiana Jones is trying to retrieve the crystal like Don Brown is trying to retrieve his scooter from Louis. <br /><br />2<br />

Social Groups<br />The Social Group we have used in our production include:<br />Teenagers: This social group would enjoy our film because the main character is a teenager so they can relate to him.<br />Males: Males would like this film because it has action and fighting which is mostly aimed at the male audience.<br />Geeks: Geeks would enjoy this film because Don Brown is a geek who gets revenge on the bully who took his scooter.<br />3<br />

Audience<br />Teenage audience: because a teenager is the main character, this makes other teenagers able to associate with the characters. <br />Both Male and Female: Males would like the action and the females would like the good looking actors.<br />Mainly a Male audience: This is due to the large amount of action and fight scenes in the film, also superhero's which are males are mainly aimed at the male audience.<br />5<br />

What We Learnt About Technoligies<br />180 rule<br />Not to zoom in and out whilst filming.<br />Different types of shots.<br />How to do two layers of sound.<br />To work fast and effectively in order to meet a deadline<br />How to use visual effects to make a scene look more realistic or to make the audience realise something is different about that shot.<br />7<br />

What We Learnt About Technoligies<br />If we were to improve the production, the aspects we might change would be; when using the camera we could try and get a wider variety of shots and this will help to make it look more realistic and then also make it more interesting to watch.<br />To improve when editing on the mac we can try to make sure that we have the clips In a correct order and make sure that when using effects they are used rarely and effectively.<br />8<br />
