Once upon a time, you could go to school, get a job, and make a good living in relative anonymity. For some, that may still be a possibility, but for most people in the modern world, you need to have an edge and stand out.
This is about developing your “fame.” It’s not necessarily fame in the Hollywood sense, although you certainly have the possibility of that. It’s becoming a well known person in your field.
Our society has shown that fame trumps many things, including talent and ability, although you will be better off if you have some in whatever field you wish to be famous in.
Fame also will put you ahead, even if you are not the leader in your field. Dr. Phil is certainly not the world’s best psychologist, but he is probably the best known and most quoted one.
You also don’t have to be aiming to be the best known in the world. You may just want to be the best known in your town. How far you take the “fame” path in your field is up to you.
Skwibl is a web-based solution that helps designers and their clients, as well as design teams work on projects together using interactive collaboration on images and videos.
Instead of writing long emails proposing a variety of corrections, you are able to mark specific places on an image or a video frame in real time, post tasks and manage several projects online.

41. All of Tina’s Presentations Can Be Found at: http://www.slideshare.net/tinainvirginia
42. What is Syndication? Syndication is when information you enter on one website is then sent out to multiple other websites. Example: Enter a listing in Listhub and it is sent to Trulia, Zillow, Realtor.com, Oodle, etc. etc. etc.
43. Places to Add Listings Where They Can Be Syndicated: Brokerage website Vflyer.com Propertypreviews.com Postlets.com Realbird.com Hotpads.com Personal Website Solution (such as Point2Agent) Iwantanoffer.com And many, many more!
45. What do online flyers offer? Interactive user experience Video imbedding Multiple links Click-to-chat, click to call Mapping Single property websites – cloud hosting Sharing, bookmarking Virtual tours, slideshows Opportunity to imbed on other sites
49. A Few Tips… Advertise listings first – they’re your product Every agent should have at least 10 listings they are actively marketing (they do not need to be your listings – ask someone in your office if you can “borrow” theirs). Other things to advertise: relocation packages, first time homebuyers guide, “100 ways to get your home ready to sell”, etc. Advertising “Free CMA” is so 1980’s – be more creative! Must offer something of VALUE! Google yourself and your listings – use Google Alerts
50. And More Tips… Do NOT “scream out” your listings! Posting listings or other “advertising” on your Facebook PROFILE is a violation of Facebook’s TOS. Only use your Facebook PAGE for advertising. If you are not going to engage with the community, don’t bother using social networking sites. Advertise what sets YOU apart from other agents: “All of my listings feature text-to-flyer” and explain why that benefits the consumer. Consistency in communication! Text to text, etc.
51. Email Marketing Be careful! Do NOT spam! Allow for opt-in/opt-out Don’t use too much html Offer something of value – perhaps partner with a local merchant to offer a discount? Don’t make it all about real estate – hyperlocal is better You have 2-5 seconds to catch their attention Don’t forget your signature!

65. 3/29/2010 60 How to film Move slowly. You can always speed the film up to get your scene from one area to another in the finial product. Do not pan the camera back and forth to fast. When coming out of a room back up don’t turn around and walk out. Hold the camera at chest or waist height. The angle is a bit different for perspective.
