3. WE NOTICED THAT OUR PRODUCT HAS STAYED CONSISTENTLY POPULAR
THROUGHOUT THE TIME IT HAS BEEN AVAILABLE TO VIEW ON YOUTUBE
AND THIS MEANS THAT PEOPLE ARE STILL INTERESTED IN AND ENGAGED
WITH OUR CAMPAIGN.
OVERALL OUR MUSIC VIDEO HAS NEARLY 3200 VIEWS MAKING IT THE MOST
POPULAR OUT OF ALL OF THE VIDEOS THAT WERE PRODUCED BY OUR
SCHOOL THIS YEAR.
OUR PRODUCT HAS ALSO BEEN SHARED 6 TIMES THROUGH YOUTUBE AS
WELL AS THE FACT THAT OUR AUDIENCE FEEDBACK HAS TOLD US THAT
OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAVE ALSO SHARED IT WITH OTHER PEOPLE,
HOWEVER THIS IS NOT REFLECTED IN OUR YOUTUBE STATISITICS.

•Our intended audience was very broad
due to the fact that our band’s unique
selling point aimed to blend elements of
the old and new and therefore attract
both a younger and older generation to
their music
•Our intended audience was teenagers
from around 17/18 years old to around
50/60 years olds.
•The electronic part of our band’s music
would attract the younger end of the
audience(17/18 year olds)
•The jazz and swing elements of the music
would attract an older generation of
50/60 year olds
•We intended to have an audience of both
males and females
•The VALs which we thought reflected our
target audience were innovators and
experiencers.
5. The information from this graph shows us that the majority of
people are watching our music video on either a computer or a
mobile device. It is very rare to have such a high number of people
watching a music video on a mobile device (85 views) and therefore
this reflects how our audience is of a younger generation and they
are interested in watching our product on the go.
6. I believe that we have targeted our intended audience well due the fact
that we wanted our products to be attractive for both a younger and
older audience of both genders. We have been able to do this as our
music video has been popular amongst people of between 18 and 24 as
well as people over 65. Our target audience appears to be
predominantly made up of males aged between 18 and 24 which was
quite surprising. However, our audience ranges from people aged 13 to
people 65+ therefore we have succeed in targeting a wide target
audience made up of males and females.
7. We have also been successful in targeting a global audience as our product has not only been
popular in the UK with 64% of our views coming from the UK but we have also had views from
people from the USA, Canada, Switzerland and Russia.
Our audience was made up of predominantly males with 68% of our target audience being
males and 32% being females.
The majority of our views have come from sources other than YouTube and other browsers
showing that our music video has been shared on other platforms.
In addition, the playback location for our video has been mainly YouTube with around 7%
watching it through embedded links on external pages which is probably referring to the
views we have received through the fact that our music video is posted on our blogs.
8. Unfortunately, some of our statistics show that our music video was not as
successful as we had first thought because the average view duration is only
0.53 seconds which is very low considering our video is around 3 minutes long.
This sadly means that the majority of the audience members don’t get to see
the futuristic element of the video and this could mean that the product is less
attractive as the narrative only become clear when the entire video is
watched. However, the product has received nearly 3200 views and it has had
3 likes and 7 shares therefore it must still be popular.
9. This graph shows us that our video has currently had 3,179 views since it
was uploaded in mid December. Since its upload is has increased in
popularity as between the 15th
and 22nd
of December it went from around
350 views to 2800 views which shows how it had a rapid increase of views
and since then it has continued to gain popularity as it is continuing to be
watched by audience members and shared onto new audience members.
This demonstrates to use that we have succeed in creating a product
which audiences are attracted to as the fact that it has had so many
views means that people are intrigued by it and are enjoying its content.
10. Overall, I believe that our YouTube statistics have shown that our intended
audience was in fact reflected through who has watched and enjoyed our
music video. We aimed to create a target audience made up of males and
females from both a younger generation made up of teenagers and young
adults as well as an older generation made up of people in their late
40s/50s. We successfully targeted these people and we also managed to
target a wide global audience which demonstrates how our music video has
gained so much popularity. Overall our YouTube statistics have helped us
to determine who our audience are and therefore this has helped us with
learning about what kinds of things attract what kinds of audiences and we
have also been able to delve deeper in to what types of people our target
audience is made up of which has aided he advertising and marketing of
our music publicity campaign.
