2. From
Ideas
to
Ac7on
• Most
Young
American
say
they
believe
in
Gender
Equality
but
this
isn’t
reflected
in
the
Status
Quo.
Inequality
has
been
cemented
in
our
society
by
prior
genera7ons
but
we
as
young
people
are
stuck
with
the
consequences.
It’s
7me
to
flip
the
status
quo
by
turning
our
beliefs
into
our
reality.
3. SeGng
Your
Objec7ve
1. Set
your
objec7ve.
Your
first
act
as
a
YM4GE
Ambassador
is
to
set
a
clear,
aNainable
and
impacOul
objec7ve.
1. Think
how
do
you
want
to
tackle
the
pay
gap?
• Do
you
wish
to
launch
a
campus-‐wide
campaign
to
spread
awareness
about
the
benefits
of
pay
equality
• Do
you
want
to
ensure
that
your
university/college
has
achieved
pay
equality
or
help
them
to
do
so?
• Would
you
like
to
make
gender
equality
a
requirement
for
your
school
business
curriculum
or
promote
it
in
your
university
entrepreneurship
center?
• Do
you
have
any
other
ideas
in
mind?
We
would
love
to
be
inspired
by
your
crea7vity.
4. Plan
• In
order
for
you
to
advance
to
the
ac7on
level,
there
are
three
things
you
should
plan.
1. Measurable
Goals
–
Break
down
your
objec7ves
into
readily
aNainable
goals
for
you
to
accomplish.
2. Timeline
–
Set
a
due
date
for
each
goal.
3. Strategy
–
think
about
what
ac7ons
you
will
take
to
achieve
your
goals.
5. Launching
and
Achieving
your
Campaign
Goals.
• Most
teams
opt
to
create
a
special
launch
event
through
which
they
spread
awareness,
advocate,
and
get
feedback
for
the
comple7on
of
their
goals
on
campus.
• Upon
launch,
start
implemen7ng
your
strategy
according
to
your
7meline.
It
is
cri7cal
that
you,
as
an
Ambassador,
con7nue
driving
the
conversa7on
by
crea7ng
content
and
ac7vi7es
that
maintain
momentum.
6. Monitor
and
Measure
your
Goals
• To
inspire
other
YM4GE
ambassadors,
share
lessons
you
learned.
It
is
important
that
you
iden7fy,
measure,
and
monitor
key
performance
indicators
of
your
campaign.
• The
metrics
you
use
should
be
directly
related
to
your
objec7ve
and
your
goals.
7. Popular
Metrics
• Some
of
the
most
popular
metrics:
– Awareness
measured
by
how
many
people
saw
your
message
– Advocacy
based
on
how
many
people
where
impacted
by
your
message
(Yes,
including
Members
of
Congress,
UN
Diplomats,
and
why
not
the
President?)
– Ac7on
based
on
how
many
people
acted
upon
your
message
and
measured
by
the
actual
shibs
your
campaign
generated
