History of Particle theory.

What is particle motion
 Main points
How do we describe matter
 Physical state (solid, liquid, gas)
 Colour- Is it oderless, flowery, spicey, neasuating
 Clarity- Clear, Cloudy, opaque
 Luster- Shiny, dull
 Form- Regular (crytalline), Irregular (amorphous)
 Texture- How does it feel, fine, course, smooth, waxy
 Hardness- Can it be scratched easily (scale 1-10)
 Brittleness- is it flexible or brittle
 Malleability- can it be bent and folded
 Ductility – can it be stretched out into long wires
 Viscosity- does it flow? Viscous or non viscous.
Practicum- describing matter
 In groups you are to go from table to table describing
the matter on the table using your new scientific
vocabulary.
