A zero voltage and zero current switching full bridge (FB) converter with secondary resonance is
another method in this primary side of the converter have FB insulated gate bipolar transistors, which
are driven by phase shift control and secondary side is composed of a resonant tank and a half wave
rectifier [6]. Without an auxiliary circuit, zero voltage switching and zero current switching are
achieved in the entire operating range. In this without using additional inductor, the leakage
inductance of the transformer is utilized as the resonant inductor. It has many advantages, including
high efficiency, minimum and number of devices this topology is attractive for high voltage and high
power applications. For closed loop speed control operation, in current control loop, three phase stator
current information is required. The current sensors and the associated accessories increase the
complexity of the system, cost and size of the motor drives and decrease the reliability of the system
and also more number of power electronics switches means more switching losses and costly.
Therefore to overcome this problem a new drive system is proposed which uses four switches and two
current sensor, less switches and less current sensors means less switching losses and low cost. In this
paper, the PWM technique is therefore proposed to minimize the torque ripple and designed to
overcome the disadvantages from other torque ripple

Side Hustle Research Paper
When browsing through the news and seeing names of celebrities, industry authorities or artists,
people may think that they have a one track career in mind. However, according to recent reports,
millennials do not stick to one job in mind. People now a days work second jobs, often to pay the bills
or just earn extra income. But a lot of people have different reasons for taking on a second job. And
there is a difference between taking on another gig for some cash on the side or working a second job
to finance a person s dreams. This is called the side hustle. Even celebrities side hustle. Ken Jeong, for

Case Study Sherwood
The Sherwood community runs pretty smoothly for academics right now. Their school system consists
of 1 High school, 2 middle schools, and 4 elementary schools, but soon things will be changing for
these Sherwood citizens. The Sherwood board has recently decided to build a new high school and
change the rest of the schools. The new high school will be the biggest in Oregon and the maximum
number of students is 2200. The builders of the new Sherwood high school will be breaking ground in
2018 and are planning to have the high school built and up and running by 2020. The main issue with
Sherwood deciding to do this is that now the 2 middle schools will be combined into the old high
school and that will then become the new Sherwood middle school. Many Sherwood families don t
like the idea of this but can t stop their plans. Many Sherwood citizens are wondering how the school
systems are going to be working now. The new high school should be done by the year 2020. With this
being said as the planned opening year, many Sherwood students will be going a year or two at the
Sherwood high now, then having to transfer over to the new high school being built, while for others,

The new high school is going to be placed in an area around many neighborhoods and one of the
busiest roads. As Sherwood families are starting to hear about this plan their first question or thought
is about how small the area is around the planned area. ¨Has anyone thought about the amount of
traffic this high school is going to cause? One Sherwood citizen asked. Another problem about this
relating to traffic is how Sherwood citizens are noticing how over populated Sherwood is becoming.
¨Every open piece of land that anyone sees they then decided to build houses. More and more houses.¨
Another Sherwood citizen says this about the high school and the problems it s causing for these

The Problem Of Real Estate
Those who have never bought, sold or otherwise transferred title to a property in Australia will need to
learn a thing or two about the subject of conveyancing. Generally speaking, this is the legal transfer of
title to property from one person to another. There are some kits on the market that enable buyers to
complete the process involved in transferring ownership of property, but this is not generally
recommended as differences in state laws, and the complexity of the process itself, can cause potential
problems. Real Estate is typically the most valuable asset that any of us will ever own, and its legal
title transfer must be handled carefully to ensure the protection of all parties and full compliance with
the law. It is, therefore, important to know what conveyancing is and what is involved in the process,
as well as what a conveyancer does in this process and how both buyers and sellers can benefit from
their services. When seeking any professional for their services, it is critical to find someone who is
qualified. This is especially important for a transaction as major as those involving real estate. You ll
want to have a good idea of how much it costs to employ their services and whether one should use a
conveyancer or a solicitor when engaging in various property transfers. This subject may seem new
and daunting to someone who has not gone through it, but the right professional can navigate you
through it to a settlement that is amicable for both parties.

The Tempest And Ceasire s Play A Tempest

Research paper Racism defined in Shakespeare s play The Tempest and Ceasire s play A Tempest
Cesarie s version of Shakespeare play The Tempest is a postcolonial response that focuses on the point
of view of the enslaved characters Ariel and Caliban. Cesarie emphasizes the racial significant that
leads to colonial politics. In cesarie s version the tension between prospero and Caliban are more
evident. Caliban is more vocal about his hate for Prospero and is quite aggressive in expressing it. The
dynamics between Prospero and Caliban s relationship is imperative in understanding Frantz Fanon
theory on the psychology of racism. Black Skin White Mask provides an explanation for the
conditions associated with the presence of white rule and how it has effected blacks overall. Fanon
clarifies the justification for racism by giving two different perspectives; white and black. Fanon s
understandings can be identified in William Shakespeare play The Tempest and Cesarie s re write play
A Tempest because they both emphasis his main arguments.
Cesarie s A Tempest is similar to the original play The Tempest, being that the cast of characters are
mostly the same and that the foundation of the story is the same. Prospero has been exiled and lives on
a secluded island, and he drums up a violent storm to drive his daughter s ship ashore on the island,
however, the story is set somewhere in the Caribbean. The story

Exploring The Kangaroo Excretory System
The excretory system is the system of an organism that made up of several organs to discharge wastes
from body (New Health Advisor, n.d.) and regulate the composition and concentration of internal
body fluids (Shmoop University, n.d.). Kangaroo has a similar excretory system with most of the
mammals and adapt to minimize water loss as they remove waste products especially their habitat is
dry environment. Skin, lungs and kidney are the primary excretory system organs while liver,
gallbladder, urinary bladder, ureter and urethra are accessary excretory system organs (New Health
Advisor, n.d.).
The skin keeps the water in and prevents evaporation (Muller, n.d.). The sweat glands carry out the
excretory function by producing sweat that comprises of salt, oils, water, and other unnecessary
substances to remove from body (New Health Advisor, n.d.). ... Show more content on

The liver is the main metabolic site that is crucial for detoxification. Biochemical processes can
produce toxic byproducts as metabolic wastes and these wastes must be removed (Farabee, 2001). For
example, byproduct of protein metabolism is ammonia that has to be converted into a less toxic
compound which is urea for excretion (Muller, n.d.). Then, urea is filtered and excreted by the kidneys
as urine. Gallbladder is the storage of bile produced by liver to breakdown fats, ethanol and other
acidic wastes (New Health Advisor,

Redeeming Santa Claus
Santa Claus, is known by many names: Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle and simply
Santa . He is a figure that has been influenced by legend, myth, folklore and most importantly for our
purposes today. He wears red, is pulled around on a sleigh by a bunch of reindeer and delivers
presents to good children on the 24th of December.
The purpose of my post is not to argue about whether or not to teach kids about the full on mythical
father Christmas; personally I think it is a bad idea to go along with our culture on this; my friend
Clint Archer does a good job of dealing with this issue, click here to read it.
What I hope to do in this article is see if there is anything about Father Christmas that can be
redeemed. Now before you think my optimistic amillenialism has got the best of me, please read on.
The portly, joyous, white bearded, bespectacled, red coat wearing, black leather belt displaying man
who carries gifts for children in a huge bad really became popular in the USA and Canda in the 19th
century . Thanks to the American media machine this image has been maintained and promulgated in
song, radio, TV, children s books and films. This image was further entrenched in the 20th century,
especially with big corporations like Coka Cola taking Santa on board their advertising .
If we move back a few generations, some people say that the affinity Santa has for chimney comes
from the pre Christian era of Northern Europe. It is said to be believed by the Norse that

The Sacraments Portrayed In Les Misérables
The Sacraments Portrayed in Les Misérables God gives us unconditional forgiveness each day even if
we do not go to reconciliation to be forgiven of our sins. Forgiveness works both ways in the eyes of
God. In order to receive full mercy and forgives from God we need to go to Reconciliation and
properly be forgiven from our sins. Jean Valjean knew he had sinned and turned away from God but
he refused to go and be forgiven of his sins. God had given Jean Valjean forgiveness since the day he
sinned and Jean finally realized he had been forgiven since the beginning after all the life lessons he
went through during his lifetime. Jean Valjean finally realized God had given him the gift of forgives
from the beginning and knew he had to find away to fully turn his life back around. Jean did not think
he would be forgiven easily for the crime he had committed. Forgiveness and mercy from God does
not come to us in easy ways. We have to go though many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, Jean decided to turn his life around for the better and he was finally forgiven and holy. Jean
knew he could not live his whole life in shame of knowing he had committed a sin and would not be
forgiven. This belief of becoming holy is related to Reconciliation because when you receive the
sacrament of Reconciliation you are forgiven and cleansed of your sins and becoming holy with God.
Forgiveness and Mercy were shown by Valjean throughout the movie when he could have killed
Javert but chose not to because he realized he was in the wrong and Javert was in the right. If Vajean
would have killed Javert he would have committed another sin other than doing what everyone says
he should be doing and try to receive forgives back. Also, Javert was going to kill Jean and he stopped
and realized he can be free and let him go because was doing the right thing by saving

While the relative debt and equity values can be easily determined, calculating the costs of debt and
equity can be problematic. In calculating each component, we are given many different options and
proxy values (boundless.com, 2015). In addition the calculation is based on assumptions of the capital
mix that cannot always be maintained, One of main limitation of using WACC is that it does not take
into consideration the floatation cost of raising the marginal capital for new projects. Another problem
with WACC is that it is based on an impractical assumption of same capital mix which is very difficult
to maintain (Borad, 2012).
Conclusion
Calculating a firm s cost of capital has always been a key issue in financial management. To tackle
this issue, WACC is one of the most widely used formulas even though the process is difficult, and
results seem ambiguous. However, it is clear that WACC is the average cost of capital the firm must
pay, in this case Home Depot (HD), to all its investors, both debt and equity holders. Since HD has
debt to the tune of $29.6 billion (2012), it means that rwacc is an average of its debt and equity cost of
capital. Based on the limiting factors revealed on the page 5, our confidence level in HD s WACC is
moderate. Nevertheless, since HD s WACC is 5.97% it means that the company should only invest in

An Argument For The Taxpayer
22. A. If a taxpayer from New Jersey just won $1000, the first questions that would arise would be if
the $1000 is taxable and if it needs to be reported. If this were indeed taxable income, we would need
to know the filing status of the taxpayer. If this taxpayer does have to report it, we would also need to
know the date that the taxpayer won this $1000. There would be potentially more questions that could
arise from this situation, but these are the two that would first need to be answered before digging
deeper into the scenario.
B. The first question that arises from a taxpayer paying $5000 to his former wife is how long have
they not been together and is this a reoccurring payment. Also, what is this $5000 going towards? Is it
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last piece of information that would be helpful is whether there were any specific rulings made
when the divorce was finalized.
B. A source of information that you might need would be prior year tax returns. This will provide
information on Mrs. K s income and what is/was taxable in current and prior years.
C. The facts that Mr. K is 50, previously divorced his prior wife and that he is a doctor is not relevant.
The relevant facts are that he pays Mrs. K $10,000 a month.
D. There is a good chance that there will need to be more questions asked in the future. After gaining
all the information that was requested in the questions above could potentially create more questions.
E. The first question that needs to be answered is the obvious one if the $10,000 is taxable income. We
will learn more to answering this question when we find out whether it is child support or alimony. It
is very easy to get these two confused, which in return could either cost or save Mrs. K $10,000 in
taxable income.
F. I believe that Mrs. K desires that the $10,000 is not taxable income. This will save her money on
her taxes if this is the case. This is important to be able to understand what your client wants and to try
and keep them happy. This also proves that, as a tax advisor, you need to be more careful that Mrs. K
does not construe the facts to get her desirable outcome.

Civility And Savagery In Joseph Conrad s Heart Of Darkness
Jazbeth Aguilar
AP Literature
December 8, 2017
Joseph Conrad, in his novel Heart of Darkness, uses the contrasting places of Europe and Africa in
order to represent opposed forces or ideas that are central to the entirety of the work. This journey
back in time, to a prehistoric earth illustrates Marlow s physical journey as well as relates to his
emotional and spiritual experience. Marlow characterizes events, ideas, and locations that he
encounters in terms of light or darkness. Marlow continuously equates light with knowledge and
civility and darkness with mystery and savagery. When he begins his narrative, Marlow evokes light
and, therefore, civility, with reality, believing it to be a tangible expression of man s natural state.
Similarly, Marlow uses darkness to depict savagery as a vice having escaped with nature. However, as
he proceeds deeper into the heart of the African jungle and begins to understand savagery as a
primitive form of civilization and, therefore, a reflection on his own reality, the metaphor shifts, until
the narrator raises his head at the end of the novel to discover that the Thames seemed to lead into the
heart of an immense darkness. The alteration of the light dark metaphor corresponds with Marlow s
awareness that the only reality, truth, or light about civilization is that it is, regardless of appearances,
is instead darkness.
Conrad uses light as a symbol of civilization. Just as darkness is defined as the absence of light, the

Comparing The American Dream And Bennett s Poly
Behind any reality lies a dream. The American Dream is an ever evolving concept, that every person
has an equivalent chance at being successful and content. It has become a conflicting idea with people
disagreeing over the possibility of actually attaining it. There are those who take a pessimistic outlook
and refuse to believe that there s more to life than what they set out to accomplish. They live in a
negative dream like state where there own cynicism prevents them from reaching and achieving their
dream. Those who attain their dream are the go getters who wake up from this illusion and take an
optimistic view towards seeking their dream. We as a people pursuing the dream, must change with it
to achieve it. It still remains a reality today ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the poem America by Claude Mckay, the speaker s feelings towards America are discussed. This
quote shows how with perseverance The American Dream is possible and how when it is finally
reached its worth all the hardships that were faced. The speaker says, I love this cultured hell that tests
my youth: her vigor flows like tides into my blood. Giving me strength erect against her hate. (14 ).
The speaker in the poem focuses on the big picture. He knows that the struggles that are being thrust
upon him will be worthwhile once his dream is accomplished. It will mean so much more since there
was work that was put into achieving his dream. From the same poem, America , by Claude Mckay the
preceding quote explains how with hard work, motivation and determination any of your most
astounding dreams can become a reality. The quote says, Yet as a rebel fronts a king in state i stand
within her walls with not a shred of fear, or malice, not a word of jeer. Darkly i gaze into the days
ahead, and see her might and granite wonders there, Beneath the touch of Time s unerring hand, like
priceless treasures sinking in the sand. (14). The speakers perceives that he must overcome all
adversities to achieve the grandeur that is his dream. Although through all the obstacles that lie ahead,
his dream may appear to be a hazy mirage. He knows that once his dream is achieved

Pieter Claesz Still Life
A quick glance at the Still Life (1643) by Pieter Claesz (figure 1) reminds me of his Still Life with
Oysters and Roemer (1642) (figure 2). The environment looks familiar, because they both depicted
similar objects against the same wall, the same light source and perhaps the same table. A silver plate
with three pieces of oysters, accompanied by a knife on the left, always occupies the middle
foreground of the table; behind the plate of oysters is always a gleaming Roemer that is placed on the
left across from a piece of bread. I also see pepper spreading out from its newspaper packing, and at
the back, a pinch of salt sitting in a metal container while topping the brim.

Nevertheless, I feel Hochstraser would stand out and warn me not to be fooled by those fancy objects
appearance or underestimate little things value. She would direct me to look at the pepper on the table
and think about the labors and lives cost on the way from its homeland to Dutchmen s table. On the
one hand, a Dutch merchant would be encouraged by the abundant still life painting to invest in more
voyage and goods from Dutch colonies; on the other hand, due to the underestimation of the cost and
labor on the importing activity, Dutch people yet never realized the bankruptcy that awaited nearby.
Thus, everything is expensive in the Still Life (1643). However, I wondered if the bread has shown
traces of getting consumed by someone, then why not everything? I suppose originally there were five
oysters presented in the table, but only two were needed and perhaps the pearl was from one of the
eaten ones. I suppose the Roemer was filled nearly to the top with liquor yet the consumer only sipped
a little out of it. I suppose that the consumer may not even need the pepper and salt, because, as Still
Life with Oysters and Roemer (1642) suggests, I did not see pepper gets grinded and salt gets
sprinkled on the plate. Then I questioned: if the consumer does not need the salt, why does he/she
have it on the table with a luxurious container whose appearance surpasses its function? Although

to report, to who and time frames which it should be done. ( Reportable Diseases/Conditions in
Florida, 2014). It is everyone s duty as a medical professional to follow these rules to report to their
health department due to the possible spread of diseases. Communicable diseases can be prevented or
lessened the side effects with vaccines and education.
One common disease is the chickenpox. It is caused by the Varicella zoster virus. ( History of chicken
pox, 2013). History shows that chickenpox may have been around since Babylonian times. Anyone at
any age can get this disease. Chickenpox is contagious from one to two days before the rash appears
until all blisters have formed scabs. It spreads from person to person by direct contact or through the
air from an infected person s coughing or sneezing. It can also be transmitted from the fluid from the
blisters they cause until they are scabbed. The virus has a ten to twenty one days of an incubation
period. Chickenpox is usually diagnosed by the appearance of the rash the person has. The chickenpox
disease can start without warning or with a fever and a runny nose. Most common symptoms that
people are aware of are the red spots that appear on the upper trunk, neck, stomach, face and scalp that
become itchy (CDC, 2016).

Writing Style Of Frankenstein
Mary Shelley writing style for the novel Frankenstein is very special as it is written in a creative
narrative point of view even though when reading it there are times when one can forget that Robert
Walton is the true singular narrator. Frankenstein is both a frame narrative and a story within a story,
the story within the story is seen through Walton telling of Victor s telling of the Creature s story.
Mary Shelley s writing style can clearly be seen in the novel with the letters from Robert Walton to his
sister in which you can see the narrative point of view, however as you continue to chapter one it
becomes hard to see that as it becomes the story within a story which then again happens when the
creature tell Victor about what he has been doing since he was created. All of theses events are told by
Walton yet it is hard to tell as the novel began to use words like I and my as if Victor was the narrator
for example I am by birth a Genevese, and my family is one of the most distinguished of that republic.
(19) which is describing Victor yet it seems as he is saying it. This can be seen throughout the main
part of the story but towards the end with You have read this strange and terrific story, Margaret...
(182) you can again see that Walton has been the narrator the whole time. Frankenstein is a novel that
is full of memorable quotes many of which have a much deeper meaning, one of the first ones is What
may not be expected in a country of eternal light? (3)

Export of Towel from Pakistan
INTRODUCTION
The export of towel from Pakistan to other countries is not generating much revenue but it has some
importance as Pakistan ranks with India and China among the world s leading towel manufacturers.
The towel export business is specially a good one for Karachi based producers, bringing Pakistan
$300 million each year from sales to the United States alone. It is also good for urban Pakistanis
seeking factory work According to the Towel Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (TMA), the
manufacture of nine tons of towels enough to fill a standard 20x20x8 foot shipping container puts 485
Pakistani men and women to work.

by the US Commerce Department. A 6.2 percent decline in per unit prices was more than offset by a
marked improvement in the Export volume (US$ 62.0 million), resulting in a net gain of US$ 46.1

Bioethics in Medicine, Exemplified by the Karen Ann...
It is accepted that the advances in resuscitation techniques, initiated and influenced the evolution of
bioethics by bringing to the fore the questions of:
(i) just allocation of scarce medical resource, health care
(ii) the nature of being , and
(iii) the proper purpose of medicine.
The main issues that caused the emergence, or the study and introduction of bioethics was the
introduction of modern technology in medicine in the form of respirators and artificial heart machines.
The media attention to the Karen Ann Quinlan case made the issues public. The Karen Ann Quinlan
case serves as a perfect example of these new issues. She was diagnosed with a persistent vegetative
state, and her life was sustained with a respirator and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This implies a downgrading of the importance of the human body.
The most important lesson learned from this case was the revising of medical treatment. Medicine
should treat patients as autonomous subjects. Thus came about the development of autonomy based
ethics principles. Ethics needs principles four can encompass the rest and the respect for autonomy
should be first among equals . (Gillon, 2003)
The limitations regarding, the right to life was a topical issue at the time of the Karen Quinlan case.
The court ruled that the decision should be in the hands of ethics committees, another important
realisation from the Quinlan case ruling. Many ethics committees were formed to make the decisions.
Hospitals and all extended care facilities got an ethics committee. It was thought that they should be
the decision making body in the future. However, it is now the opinion of experts that the authority of
the ethics committees is limited. Any decision must belong to patients, and/ or their proxy. Out of this
case there has also developed advanced health directives, which led to a society becoming aware of
the need to create living wills as to what family members were to do or not to do in conditions of
extraordinary medical care. The power of attorney also came to the forefront. Many people today
would recognise the name of Terry Schiavo. Karen

Major Themes In The Old Testament
Major Themes: as seen in the Old Testament To better understand the full meaning of this passage it is
essential to look to the Old Testament. Throughout Jesus ministry He draws on symbolism from the
Old Testament to show His connection to the Father. The passages below are closely connected to
Matthew chapter 14. The similarities are important because of the original audience. The apostles
would have been Jewish men, which means they knew their Old Testament fairly well. When Jesus
makes connections He increases His credibility, and secures His label of Emmanuel.

Case Study in Nursing
INTRODUCTION
Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) refers to a complex series of rare but well studied enzymatic
errors of metabolism with deficient levels of different enzymes involved in the synthesis of cortisol
(hydrocortisone).
CAH comprises a group of disorders resulting from defective synthesis of adrenal corticosteroids.
Lack of glucocorticoids, especially cortisol, causes various kinds of metabolic problems. The response
to low levels of cortisol is increased production of corticotropin (ACTH). Lack of mineralocorticoids,
primarily aldosterone (steroid hormone), causes sodium and water imbalance which, in some cases,
can be fatal. The various forms of CAH represent defects in the different stages of corticosteroid

What Are The Four Types Of Innovation Radical,...
Discussion Question 7.2 Describe a firm you think has been highly innovative. Which of the four
types of innovation radical, incremental, disruptive, or architectural did it use? Did the firm use
different types over time? Chipotle is the leader in the fast casual market, with over 1,900 locations,
$3.21 billion in annual revenue, and the ability to serve up to 300 customers an hour. It has innovated
the restaurant market by providing reasonably priced scratch made meals, containing local ingredients,
all within the confines of a pleasing aesthetic environment (Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., 2014;
Kaplan, 2011). To reach its success, the firm utilized architectural innovation by stealing components
of various types of restaurants already in existence. The company appropriated its rapid meal
preparation methods from fast food chains such Subway and Quiznos, adopted its provision of quality
food from more upscale casual Mexican restaurants, and implemented a locally based supply chain
similar to that seen at many local farm to table establishments. This convergence of different
properties came together right as the millennial generation was coming of age and demand higher
quality, natural, and locally sourced ingredients in meals that could receive quickly. The company has
also attempted to utilize an incremental innovation approach by removing all CMO ingredients and
testing new foods such as breakfast items, soup, and chorizo sausage (The Associated Press, 2015;

Brown Spot Disease
Controlled forest fires have been used to reduce the amount of insects and disease, improve wildlife
habitats, and reduce harmful fuels in our environment. These are just some of the things they are used
for, and few of the reasons why we should be in support of them. If you believe our environment
should live on, as healthy and for as long as it can, then controlled fires could be the answer to many
of nature s problems.
The use of controlled fires helps reduce the amount of insects and disease in that area. One disease
that is very dangerous is called Brown Spot disease. This disease is a fungal infection that may
seriously weaken and kill longleaf pine seedlings. These diseases seedlings stay in the ground at a
grass stage and can spread to many other plants and animals. Controlled fires are used when about
twenty percent of the seedlings are diseased. These fires help maintain healthy plant life in areas
where Brown Spot disease is common. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Comparing America And France s Economic And Political...
PREFACE
Anyu Wang
In this paper I am going to concentrate on comparing and contrasting how America and France s
economic and political policies choices combined with their cultural and historic backgrounds helped
their current place on the word stage. It is undoubted that the United States and France are two of the
strongest and most competitive countries in the world. Although they have almost the same economic
system and same concept, they still have very different current situations which are closely bound up
with their historic backgrounds and political choices. Through this paper I am going to discuss this
topic through several sections.

To discuss its historic background I will concentrate on the Bretton Woods System. Bretton Woods
System is an international currency system started form 1944 July at the end of the Second World War.
This system require each country to obey the rule that they tied its currency to gold in order to keep
the exchange rate stable and prevent the currencies from devaluation. The establishment of this system
ensure the resume and development of capitalist world economy especially America. Although this
system ultimately disintegrated in 1973, it still make significant contributions to America s
irreplaceable role today.
France
The French Republic is a sovereign state comprising territory in western Europe and several overseas
regions and territories. As a member of G7 France ranked as the world s seventh largest economy. It
also has the mixed economy which combines private enterprise and government intervention. France s
economics are unstable, but it is still very competitive in the world. The reason why its economics is
denounced is because its high unemployment rate and its extremely unstable CPI.
To discuss the development of France s economy I will focus on the Marshall Plan. Marshall Plan, as
an approach of the United States to control the Europe and oppose the Soviet Union, also helped the
Europe with their bad economics. After the second world war, France tried to use government
intervention by Jean Monnet to recover its economics. In fact,

Low Morale And Morale
1. High Morale High Productivity
High morale reflects a predisposition to be more productive if proper leadership is provided. This
situation is likely to occur when employees are motivated to achieve high performance standards
through financial and non financial rewards.
2. High Morale Low Productivity
The situation arises when employees spend their time and energy in satisfying their personal
objectives unrelated to the company s goals. Faulty machinery, lack of training, ineffective supervision
and restrictive norms of informal groups can also lead to low productivity on the part of employees
with high morale.

Auteurs Film Analysis
The idea of auteurship is one that is surrounded by the domineering presence of the white male, with
little exception: a simple Google search of film auteurs produces thousands of results of websites
listing off the likes of Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, and David Lynch.
However, one early female filmmaker who, like too many other important women of the past, has
been mostly buried by history stands above the rest. Often viewed in the same regard as male
contemporaries such as D. W. Griffith, Lois Weber used her platform as a universally acclaimed
creator (at the time) to make socially conscious films that advocated the underprivileged. Although her
works are heavily influenced by her belief in Christian charity, they never seem to steer into the

possessed a deft talent for tempering her serious mission with the understanding that entertainment is

snarky title cards as well as scenes of suspense (such as Mrs. Griggs attempting to steal a chicken

The Success Of The Ski Barn
In a perfect world, retailers would have plenty of loyal customers year after year to keep them in
business. However, this is not the case anymore, and keeping a customer loyal to your business is
harder than it seems. Customers are more demanding when it comes to pricing and convenience today.
If someone walks into a store looking to find something, and the business is out of stock, or they are
unhappy with the price, they will go looking somewhere else, or worse turn to the internet. Family
owned businesses are having an even harder time competing with big corporations. Often times a
family business will open up and seem to be doing fine, until a bigger more well known company
opens up just down the road. Most of the time the smaller companies are forced to close down. This is
because they cannot compete with some of the discounts that are so easily handed out by the
competition. Ski Barn is a family owned business, located in four locations within New Jersey:

Hinduism And Hindu Rituals
Hindu Rituals
The religious group I chose to explore is Hinduism. One of the main foundations of the Hindu religion
is the belief in reincarnation. They believe that when the body dies, the soul departs through the top of
their head. They believe it s only their body that dies and the soul is reborn in a different form after
death. The idea is they will be reborn into a future life that is based on past thoughts and actions. This
belief is called Karma. They feel that if you were evil in your present life your new life will be filled
with great suffering. They also believe they can cancel out negative actions with things such as
confessions, fasting, and prayer. They have certain rituals that they believe must be performed to have
a successful passing and return. The Hindu religion believes to break the cycle and avoid reincarnation
one must reach what they call Moksha. This is a state of salvation when the soul is absorbed into
Brahman, who is the highest god of Hinduism. To help achieve this goal they have funeral rites they
follow. Hindu funeral rites can vary somewhat however they all have a set of steps they follow. Those
are completed according to the customs, means, and ability of the family.
Pre Death Ceremonies
The first part of their rituals begins when death is near. The Hindu tradition is to die at home. If a
loved one is in the hospital and death seems to be near they will do all that they can to bring them
home. They notify family members to come and gather.

My Sister s Keeper
My Sister s Keeper
Based on the book by Jodi Picoult
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First and foremost, we would all like to thank the Man with the Big guns from above named God. We
thank you the most for without you we would never be able to do the things we love in life. We would
never be able to see and feel the great wonders of the world that you have made for us especially the
friendship and love that you never fail to provide us. Thank you for that. To our teacher we thank you
for giving us a chance to show you what we can do. For always teaching us the right things to improve
in ourselves not only in our writing of essays in class but also in our own separate lives. You have
helped us in so many ways but the most would be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although, when we are forced to face with such unlucky fate, we must make difficult decisions and
sacrifices. The director purposely made the film so sincere that this film could be ranked as one of the
very few movies guaranteed to make audiences cry! As audiences watch the film, carefully selected
cast members definitely make them feel as if they were part of the Vassilivea Family and assure
audiences could relate. As Anna, one of the main characters, puts it, I wasn t the result of a cheap
bottle of wine or a full moon or the heat of the moment. I was born because a scientist managed to
hook up my mother s eggs and my father s sperm to create a specific combination of precious genetic
material. Though we cannot afford to encounter genetically engineered babies every day, doesn t mean
we can t also experience the safe effects, that s why the director produced this astonishing film using
all of his talented skills.
PRODUCTION
It s a sad fact that innocent, great kids can get cancer, and few movies have really dug into this tragic
corner of life the way My Sister s Keeper does. But rather than search for any real emotional truths or
demand dynamic performances from its talented cast, the movie just hijacks your tear ducts from the
word go. Odds are you ll cry during this movie, but you might be too confused by the time jumping
narrative, too busy wondering how many pop song montages they

Country Music Openness
My conjecture, then, is that country music functions in part to reinforce in low openness individuals
the idea that life s most powerful, meaningful experiences are precisely those to which conservative
personalities living conventional lives are most likely to have access. This excerpt is from an essay
titled Country Music, Openness to Experience, and the Psychology of the Culture War, in which the
author, Will Wilkinson, is arguing that country music is made solely for conservative ears. Reading
such a statement is perplexing. The author is telling the audience that country music is made for close
minded individuals who seek comfort in the little things in life because the changing world around
them is too frightening.

This song creates yet another heartwarming story by incorporating the values of love and marriage
into its lyrics. For example, the line So, we planned it all out for the middle of June, from the wedding
cake to the honeymoon, and your momma cried when you walked down the aisle, gives the audience
the classic, lovely vision of getting married. Similar lyrics in the song such as Yeah baby I love you a
lot and I think we ve got a real good shot also tie in the human desire to be loved by another
individual. These specific lyrics are significant because they all appeal to human nature s yearning for
interpersonal connection. This means an audience member can connect to the lyrics in this song on a
deep level. It does not matter what your political alignment may be, human empathy for topics such as
marriage and love fosters connection, therefore to the story created by the lyrics in the song and to
other songs like it within the genre. This further proves the fact that not just conservatives can enjoy
and connect to the stories created within country

Examples Of Kate Stockholm Syndrome
The idea of finding comfort in your capturer is not anything new. In fact, it was first noticed in birds
when their masters would use abuse to tame them. However, in the contemporary world, this idea is
called Stockholm syndrome and it is more common than many people may assume. When you are
alone with nobody to lean on, the one person who gives you any kind of care at all is someone you
would attach yourself to. Katherine Minola is just one victim of this syndrome. In the play Taming of
the Shrew, Shakespeare gives Kate Stockholm syndrome in order to portray how women are
subservient to men. Undoubtedly, Kate is forcefully taken away from Padua by her husband Petruchio.
When he states that he plans to leave, she clearly replies, Nay, then, Do what thou canst, I will not go
today, No, nor tomorrow, not till ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One may get this intention because at the beginning of Act IV, Petruchio eggs on a verbal argument
between Kate and the Widow, seemingly allowing her to act disobedient and not like much of a lady.
In reality, Petruchio knows that even though she may be acting disobedient to other people, she still
treats him with the utmost respect and will be submissive to him in the end. Emily Detmer stated that
Kate learns that to survive she must see the world from his perspective, just as she learns to bond with
his side of abuse. (287) Detmer provides an interesting viewpoint, claiming that Kate s Stockholm
syndrome was unconsciously self induced by her giving up the fight against Petruchio. She states that
rather than taking comfort in Petruchio during abuse, Kate does so afterward when she makes the
assumption that she deserves the abuse as aforementioned. This is simply another thought to entertain,
did Kate induce her own Stockholm syndrome or did Petruchio? Regardless of who caused it, there is
no question of whether or not it is something she

Dance Salsa Theory
It was interesting seems people come together and dance different music. I heard playing salsa and
tango music. I have watched movies about tango, but watching normal people dancing tango was
shocking. I was very impressed with an older couple dancing tango. They were dancing and at the
same time they were connecting with each other. They looked like a regular boring couple, but
dancing tango they look like they were intimate with each other. They did the basic steps, but they
were swinging around together at the same time. It was really good. In my part, I wanted to dance
salsa because I was raised dancing salsa, but for some reason I could not dance salsa because I was
thinking about the steps. My theory was to enjoy the music and dance to

The Pros And Cons Of Television Shows
If you have ever watched TV, you might notice many commonalities and trends between many of the
TV shows that are on air. The shows usually follow similar storylines of a protagonist (usually male)
who struggles with their own moral values, usually stirring up trouble for themselves and those around
them. Now you re probably asking yourself: Hm I wonder why so many shows follow similar
patterns? Well the answer to that question is because of YOU! It s all your fault that TV can be so
monotonous and repetitive. You are a part of a giant collective that drives what TV shows are being
shown, what TV shows are being cancelled, and even when TV shows are being played. You are a part
of the audience. The audience is what drives TV shows to be the entertaining platforms that they are
meant to be, but they are also the most crippling aspect of the television itself.
If I wanted to pitch a TV show to a TV network, the script would be immediately thrown in the trash.
This is because I am nowhere to be found in the hierarchy of the television network. The television
hierarchy makes it almost impossible for lesser known writers and producers to release their work on
popular networks. Also, newer shows do not get as much of a fighting chance as others because these
new shows must compete with other popular TV shows for the best time slots, therefore getting less
viewers, increasing the chance the network pulls the plug on new shows.
When TV networks try to decide what shows to put on

Goldman Sachs
Goals of the Organization
Setting clear goals is a primary step that an organization needs to take to succeed. This is important as
it ensures that the organization has a clear vision on what it wants to achieve at different stages of
growth.
It also helps in defining the yardsticks, usually quantifiable measures that we can use to objectively
monitor the progress made by the organization and help in determining if its policies and structures
are working as intended.
Finally identifying your goals effectively helps in motivating the employees and improves
communication processes both internal and outside public relations.
Let us now look at the goals which Goldman Sachs has set for itself, identified from its vision amp;

* To be good corporate citizens and make a difference to the society
Goldman Sachs partners various organizations involved with uplifting the society and caring for the
environment. It does so by providing both human resources through its programs like Community
team works amp; 10000 small businesses initiative and monetary help through it Goldman Sachs gives
and matching gifts programs apart from various sponsorships and scholarships.
Technology at Goldman Sachs
Goldman Sachs considers technology to be one of the biggest disrupters in the coming times and has
hence invested considerably in sprucing it up. It has divided it into two components: * Technology for
Financial systems: The main focus is primarily on two things here: * Increasing speeds: To counter the
growing tribe of boutique high frequency trading firms, Goldman Sachs has developed its own
modeling language Slang and a corresponding database called Securities database which gives it an
edge of multi milliseconds over its rivals for similar models. * Automating the entire trade flows and
other processes: This ensures that there is lesser scope for error and is able to handle larger volumes of
trading. It is built in a modular manner thereby ensuring that different systems having different
functionalities are separate from each other and thus failure of one node may not necessarily affect the
others. * Technology for non financial systems: These include

Boxing Persuasive Essay
Boxing Imagine the adrenaline one receives when getting prepared to fight in a boxing match. They
strut to the mat and can hear the crowd vigorously yelling and screaming. The bell rings and the two
begin punching. One severe punch is thrown at the opponent s head and the person immediately falls
to the mat. The crowd goes wild and the coaches and trainers all run out to the mat to check on the
man down. The person gets back up and will try to fight until a victory is resolved. However, this
particular match, the same person is hit once again and falls down. The match is over and the winner
is announced. Doctors check the athlete and it appears as if he is speechless. Minutes pass and finally
they can get a response. He does not remember ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, researchers have found that headgear does not protect boxers from concussions; it only
makes the target area larger. Simon Barnes article on The Spectator, cites that Dr. Peter Harvey
concluded that, Boxing is a contest in which the winner seems often to be the one who produces more
brain damage on his opponent than he himself sustains. In sporting events such as football, injuries or
deaths that may occur are because things have gone horribly wrong. However, when injuries or death
happen in boxing it is because things have gone horribly right. It still seems odd that society still
accepts an activity in which injuries are caused on

A zero voltage and zero current switching full bridge (FB) converter with secondary resonance is another method in this primary side of the converter have FB insulated gate bipolar transistors, which are driven by phase shift control and secondary side is composed of a resonant tank and a half wave rectifier [6]. Without an auxiliary circuit, zero voltage switching and zero current switching are achieved in the entire operating range. In this without using additional inductor, the leakage inductance of the transformer is utilized as the resonant inductor. It has many advantages, including high efficiency, minimum and number of devices this topology is attractive for high voltage and high power applications. For closed loop speed control operation, in current control loop, three phase stator current information is required. The current sensors and the associated accessories increase the complexity of the system, cost and size of the motor drives and decrease the reliability of the system and also more number of power electronics switches means more switching losses and costly. Therefore to overcome this problem a new drive system is proposed which uses four switches and two current sensor, less switches and less current sensors means less switching losses and low cost. In this paper, the PWM technique is therefore proposed to minimize the torque ripple and designed to overcome the disadvantages from other torque ripple ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Their school system consists of 1 High school, 2 middle schools, and 4 elementary schools, but soon things will be changing for these Sherwood citizens. The Sherwood board has recently decided to build a new high school and change the rest of the schools. The new high school will be the biggest in Oregon and the maximum number of students is 2200. The builders of the new Sherwood high school will be breaking ground in 2018 and are planning to have the high school built and up and running by 2020. The main issue with Sherwood deciding to do this is that now the 2 middle schools will be combined into the old high school and that will then become the new Sherwood middle school. Many Sherwood families don t like the idea of this but can t stop their plans. Many Sherwood citizens are wondering how the school systems are going to be working now. The new high school should be done by the year 2020. • 5. The Problem Of Real Estate Those who have never bought, sold or otherwise transferred title to a property in Australia will need to learn a thing or two about the subject of conveyancing. Generally speaking, this is the legal transfer of title to property from one person to another. There are some kits on the market that enable buyers to complete the process involved in transferring ownership of property, but this is not generally recommended as differences in state laws, and the complexity of the process itself, can cause potential problems. Real Estate is typically the most valuable asset that any of us will ever own, and its legal title transfer must be handled carefully to ensure the protection of all parties and full compliance with the law. It is, therefore, important to know what conveyancing is and what is involved in the process, as well as what a conveyancer does in this process and how both buyers and sellers can benefit from their services. When seeking any professional for their services, it is critical to find someone who is qualified. This is especially important for a transaction as major as those involving real estate. You ll want to have a good idea of how much it costs to employ their services and whether one should use a conveyancer or a solicitor when engaging in various property transfers. This subject may seem new and daunting to someone who has not gone through it, but the right professional can navigate you through it to a settlement that is amicable for both parties. The ... The Tempest And Ceasire s Play A Tempest Orobosa Omede Professor Tung Literature 305 Research paper Racism defined in Shakespeare s play The Tempest and Ceasire s play A Tempest Cesarie s version of Shakespeare play The Tempest is a postcolonial response that focuses on the point of view of the enslaved characters Ariel and Caliban. Cesarie emphasizes the racial significant that leads to colonial politics. In cesarie s version the tension between prospero and Caliban are more evident. Caliban is more vocal about his hate for Prospero and is quite aggressive in expressing it. The dynamics between Prospero and Caliban s relationship is imperative in understanding Frantz Fanon theory on the psychology of racism. Black Skin White Mask provides an explanation for the conditions associated with the presence of white rule and how it has effected blacks overall. Fanon clarifies the justification for racism by giving two different perspectives; white and black. Fanon s understandings can be identified in William Shakespeare play The Tempest and Cesarie s re write play A Tempest because they both emphasis his main arguments. Cesarie s A Tempest is similar to the original play The Tempest, being that the cast of characters are mostly the same and that the foundation of the story is the same. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While the relative debt and equity values can be easily determined, calculating the costs of debt and equity can be problematic. In calculating each component, we are given many different options and proxy values (boundless.com, 2015). In addition the calculation is based on assumptions of the capital mix that cannot always be maintained, One of main limitation of using WACC is that it does not take into consideration the floatation cost of raising the marginal capital for new projects. Another problem with WACC is that it is based on an impractical assumption of same capital mix which is very difficult to maintain (Borad, 2012). Conclusion Calculating a firm s cost of capital has always been a key issue in financial management. To tackle this issue, WACC is one of the most widely used formulas even though the process is difficult, and results seem ambiguous. However, it is clear that WACC is the average cost of capital the firm must pay, in this case Home Depot (HD), to all its investors, both debt and equity holders. Since HD has debt to the tune of $29.6 billion (2012), it means that rwacc is an average of its debt and equity cost of capital. • 18. Civility And Savagery In Joseph Conrad s Heart Of Darkness Jazbeth Aguilar AP Literature December 8, 2017 Joseph Conrad, in his novel Heart of Darkness, uses the contrasting places of Europe and Africa in order to represent opposed forces or ideas that are central to the entirety of the work. This journey back in time, to a prehistoric earth illustrates Marlow s physical journey as well as relates to his emotional and spiritual experience. Marlow characterizes events, ideas, and locations that he encounters in terms of light or darkness. Marlow continuously equates light with knowledge and civility and darkness with mystery and savagery. When he begins his narrative, Marlow evokes light and, therefore, civility, with reality, believing it to be a tangible expression of man s natural state. Similarly, Marlow uses darkness to depict savagery as a vice having escaped with nature. However, as he proceeds deeper into the heart of the African jungle and begins to understand savagery as a primitive form of civilization and, therefore, a reflection on his own reality, the metaphor shifts, until the narrator raises his head at the end of the novel to discover that the Thames seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness. The alteration of the light dark metaphor corresponds with Marlow s awareness that the only reality, truth, or light about civilization is that it is, regardless of appearances, is instead darkness. Conrad uses light as a symbol of civilization. Just as darkness is defined as the absence of light, the black ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She would direct me to look at the pepper on the table and think about the labors and lives cost on the way from its homeland to Dutchmen s table. On the one hand, a Dutch merchant would be encouraged by the abundant still life painting to invest in more voyage and goods from Dutch colonies; on the other hand, due to the underestimation of the cost and labor on the importing activity, Dutch people yet never realized the bankruptcy that awaited nearby. Thus, everything is expensive in the Still Life (1643). However, I wondered if the bread has shown traces of getting consumed by someone, then why not everything? • 24. Writing Style Of Frankenstein Mary Shelley writing style for the novel Frankenstein is very special as it is written in a creative narrative point of view even though when reading it there are times when one can forget that Robert Walton is the true singular narrator. Frankenstein is both a frame narrative and a story within a story, the story within the story is seen through Walton telling of Victor s telling of the Creature s story. Mary Shelley s writing style can clearly be seen in the novel with the letters from Robert Walton to his sister in which you can see the narrative point of view, however as you continue to chapter one it becomes hard to see that as it becomes the story within a story which then again happens when the creature tell Victor about what he has been doing since he was created. All of theses events are told by Walton yet it is hard to tell as the novel began to use words like I and my as if Victor was the narrator for example I am by birth a Genevese, and my family is one of the most distinguished of that republic. This can be seen throughout the main part of the story but towards the end with You have read this strange and terrific story, Margaret... It is accepted that the advances in resuscitation techniques, initiated and influenced the evolution of bioethics by bringing to the fore the questions of: (i) just allocation of scarce medical resource, health care (ii) the nature of being , and (iii) the proper purpose of medicine. The main issues that caused the emergence, or the study and introduction of bioethics was the introduction of modern technology in medicine in the form of respirators and artificial heart machines. Medicine should treat patients as autonomous subjects. Thus came about the development of autonomy based ethics principles. (Gillon, 2003) The limitations regarding, the right to life was a topical issue at the time of the Karen Quinlan case. The court ruled that the decision should be in the hands of ethics committees, another important realisation from the Quinlan case ruling. Many ethics committees were formed to make the decisions. Hospitals and all extended care facilities got an ethics committee. It was thought that they should be the decision making body in the future. However, it is now the opinion of experts that the authority of the ethics committees is limited. Any decision must belong to patients, and/ or their proxy. Chipotle is the leader in the fast casual market, with over 1,900 locations, $3.21 billion in annual revenue, and the ability to serve up to 300 customers an hour. It has innovated the restaurant market by providing reasonably priced scratch made meals, containing local ingredients, all within the confines of a pleasing aesthetic environment (Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., 2014; Kaplan, 2011). To reach its success, the firm utilized architectural innovation by stealing components of various types of restaurants already in existence. The company appropriated its rapid meal preparation methods from fast food chains such Subway and Quiznos, adopted its provision of quality food from more upscale casual Mexican restaurants, and implemented a locally based supply chain similar to that seen at many local farm to table establishments. This convergence of different properties came together right as the millennial generation was coming of age and demand higher quality, natural, and locally sourced ingredients in meals that could receive quickly. The company has also attempted to utilize an incremental innovation approach by removing all CMO ingredients and testing new foods such as breakfast items, soup, and chorizo sausage (The Associated Press, 2015; Peterson, ... They believe that when the body dies, the soul departs through the top of their head. They believe it s only their body that dies and the soul is reborn in a different form after death. The idea is they will be reborn into a future life that is based on past thoughts and actions. This belief is called Karma. They feel that if you were evil in your present life your new life will be filled with great suffering. They also believe they can cancel out negative actions with things such as confessions, fasting, and prayer. They have certain rituals that they believe must be performed to have a successful passing and return. The Hindu religion believes to break the cycle and avoid reincarnation one must reach what they call Moksha. This is a state of salvation when the soul is absorbed into Brahman, who is the highest god of Hinduism. To help achieve this goal they have funeral rites they follow. Hindu funeral rites can vary somewhat however they all have a set of steps they follow. Those are completed according to the customs, means, and ability of the family. Pre Death Ceremonies The first part of their rituals begins when death is near. The Hindu tradition is to die at home. I was born because a scientist managed to hook up my mother s eggs and my father s sperm to create a specific combination of precious genetic material. Though we cannot afford to encounter genetically engineered babies every day, doesn t mean we can t also experience the safe effects, that s why the director produced this astonishing film using all of his talented skills. PRODUCTION It s a sad fact that innocent, great kids can get cancer, and few movies have really dug into this tragic corner of life the way My Sister s Keeper does. But rather than search for any real emotional truths or demand dynamic performances from its talented cast, the movie just hijacks your tear ducts from the word go. Odds are you ll cry during this movie, but you might be too confused by the time jumping narrative, too busy wondering how many pop song montages they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Country Music Openness My conjecture, then, is that country music functions in part to reinforce in low openness individuals the idea that life s most powerful, meaningful experiences are precisely those to which conservative personalities living conventional lives are most likely to have access. This excerpt is from an essay titled Country Music, Openness to Experience, and the Psychology of the Culture War, in which the author, Will Wilkinson, is arguing that country music is made solely for conservative ears. Reading such a statement is perplexing. The author is telling the audience that country music is made for close minded individuals who seek comfort in the little things in life because the changing world around them is too frightening. For example, the line So, we planned it all out for the middle of June, from the wedding cake to the honeymoon, and your momma cried when you walked down the aisle, gives the audience the classic, lovely vision of getting married. Similar lyrics in the song such as Yeah baby I love you a lot and I think we ve got a real good shot also tie in the human desire to be loved by another individual. These specific lyrics are significant because they all appeal to human nature s yearning for interpersonal connection. This means an audience member can connect to the lyrics in this song on a deep level. It does not matter what your political alignment may be, human empathy for topics such as marriage and love fosters connection, therefore to the story created by the lyrics in the song and to other songs like it within the genre. • 45. Examples Of Kate Stockholm Syndrome The idea of finding comfort in your capturer is not anything new. In fact, it was first noticed in birds when their masters would use abuse to tame them. However, in the contemporary world, this idea is called Stockholm syndrome and it is more common than many people may assume. When you are alone with nobody to lean on, the one person who gives you any kind of care at all is someone you would attach yourself to. Katherine Minola is just one victim of this syndrome. In the play Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare gives Kate Stockholm syndrome in order to portray how women are subservient to men. Undoubtedly, Kate is forcefully taken away from Padua by her husband Petruchio. When he states that he plans to leave, she clearly replies, Nay, then, Do what thou canst, I will not go today, No, nor tomorrow, not till ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One may get this intention because at the beginning of Act IV, Petruchio eggs on a verbal argument between Kate and the Widow, seemingly allowing her to act disobedient and not like much of a lady. In reality, Petruchio knows that even though she may be acting disobedient to other people, she still treats him with the utmost respect and will be submissive to him in the end. Emily Detmer stated that Kate learns that to survive she must see the world from his perspective, just as she learns to bond with his side of abuse. (287) Detmer provides an interesting viewpoint, claiming that Kate s Stockholm syndrome was unconsciously self induced by her giving up the fight against Petruchio. She states that rather than taking comfort in Petruchio during abuse, Kate does so afterward when she makes the assumption that she deserves the abuse as aforementioned. This is simply another thought to entertain, did Kate induce her own Stockholm syndrome or did Petruchio? Regardless of who caused it, there is no question of whether or not it is something she ... • 46. Dance Salsa Theory It was interesting seems people come together and dance different music. I heard playing salsa and tango music. I have watched movies about tango, but watching normal people dancing tango was shocking. I was very impressed with an older couple dancing tango. They were dancing and at the same time they were connecting with each other. They looked like a regular boring couple, but dancing tango they look like they were intimate with each other. They did the basic steps, but they were swinging around together at the same time. It was really good. In my part, I wanted to dance salsa because I was raised dancing salsa, but for some reason I could not dance salsa because I was thinking about the steps. My theory was to enjoy the music and dance to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 48. The Pros And Cons Of Television Shows If you have ever watched TV, you might notice many commonalities and trends between many of the TV shows that are on air. The shows usually follow similar storylines of a protagonist (usually male) who struggles with their own moral values, usually stirring up trouble for themselves and those around them. Now you re probably asking yourself: Hm I wonder why so many shows follow similar patterns? Well the answer to that question is because of YOU! It s all your fault that TV can be so monotonous and repetitive. You are a part of a giant collective that drives what TV shows are being shown, what TV shows are being cancelled, and even when TV shows are being played. You are a part of the audience. The audience is what drives TV shows to be the entertaining platforms that they are meant to be, but they are also the most crippling aspect of the television itself. If I wanted to pitch a TV show to a TV network, the script would be immediately thrown in the trash. This is because I am nowhere to be found in the hierarchy of the television network. The television hierarchy makes it almost impossible for lesser known writers and producers to release their work on popular networks. Also, newer shows do not get as much of a fighting chance as others because these new shows must compete with other popular TV shows for the best time slots, therefore getting less viewers, increasing the chance the network pulls the plug on new shows. When TV networks try to decide what shows to put on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
