Gerard Jones s Violent Media Is Good For Youth
Since the evolution of pop culture in America, the introduction of violent media to young,
impressionable minds has been inevitable. As a child ages, they gradually adjust in response to their
environment. Accessibility to media, or lack thereof, significantly shapes a child s character no matter
the generation they come from. If adolescents are only familiar with rainbows and sunshine, they will
never be able to face the harsh truths of reality. Society teaches kids to fear and bottle up feelings of
violence and the emotions associated with it, instead of expressing it in a healthy way. This is
ultimately not the way to achieve world peace. Nevertheless, ignorant adults attempt to shelter youths
from this potential outlet without thoroughly understanding its benefits. American writer, Gerard Jones
famous for his comic book and nonfiction writing has developed a compelling perspective on this
topic from his cloistered childhood, exhaustive research, and parenting role. In his essay, Violent
Media Is Good for Kids , Jones proves that exposure to violent media is necessary to prepare children
for the real world.
Usually the youth of the late 1960s a time of empowerment and liberation are thought of as wild and
outgoing, but not Gerard Jones. As a teenager he lived a somber life of submission and seclusion.
Following his parents directives , Jones rejected his genuine emotions and hid under the façade of a
nice boy (Jones 199). That all came crashing down when the frail

The Legal Model Of Judicial Decision Making That The...
In the courts of the United States there are three different models of judicial decision making that the
Supreme Court uses. Included are the legal model, in which the decisions are based solely on the
provided facts on the case. (Mitchel) It can also choose to let previous case hearings and decisions
influence the decision for the case at hand. An example would be Reno v. ACLU where the court ruled
that the anti obscenity law was to broadly written that it violated the first amendment right. (Mitchel)
Another methodology used is the attitudinal model, where the justices can make any decision they
wish without fear of losing their job due to their life term in the position. (Mitchel) A way of viewing
this would be imagining a bench with a mixture of conservative and liberal justices, the way the
judges interpret the constitution is based on their own ideologies, meaning that the conservative justice
will interpret the constitution in a conservative way, and vice versa for the liberal justices. (Mitchel)
An example being in the 2000 election, in which the fiasco of Bush s victory in Florida ended up
having to be hand tallied, the Supreme Court intervened and due to the five conservative justices
ruling against four liberal justices, the court ruled that the hand tally should cease and that Bush
should be elected President. (Mitchel) The final method of explanation is the strategic model, which
states that justices make decisions based on they think their peers will vote, and

Adrienne Rich s Of Woman Born – The End of Motherhood Essay
Of Woman Born The End of Motherhood
In Of Woman Born, Adrienne Rich effectively weaves her own story into a convincing account of
what it means to become a mother within the bonds of patriarchal culture. Her conclusion that the
institution of motherhood, which she distinguishes from motherhood, must be destroyed in order to
release the creation and sustenance of life into the same realm of decision, struggle, surprise,
imagination, and conscious intelligence, as any other difficult, but freely chosen work is substantiated
by her courageous confession that contradicts culturally normative notions of motherhood.
Allowing readers to glimpse her own story as she painfully evaluates her role as mother side by side

because [she] felt [her] own needs acutely and often expressed them violently (32) by raging at her
children out of frustration, provides a credible offering to break down an institution that makes women
like her angry. It also demonstrates some of the ways in which motherhood has not been women s
choice.
A reader might be stunned to consider that was written just twenty years ago and that Rich s first
pregnancy happened only forty three years ago, since her choices as an educated woman were so
limited compared to now. When her account of feeling like she was only acting as a woman (having
no idea what she wanted, and having a child because it was expected of a real woman ) is introduced,
her lack of choices reads like either a dismal Margaret Atwood science fiction novel or a scene from
the very long ago past. Similary, when Rich cites her example of a primitive attitude by quoting a
doctor s medical opinion that women are psychologically unbalanced when they attempt to resist the
demands of the institution [of motherhood], (263) it is quite surprising to realize that this opinion was
written in 1967, a mere thirty years ago. In this way, Rich s story is a tribute to all women who have
fought her battle, the battle to have the freedom to choose motherhood.
Rich must feel a deep sense of satisfaction in realizing that articulating her struggles has helped many
women. Her capacity to transcend her own circumstances is truly remarkable

Events In Pride And Prejudice Essay
What is so important about the events that happen, but at the same time they do not, like when it only
happens in a character s head? Jane Austen has a good way of making the things that happen in a
character s head seem as if they are important, major events. It is like when Lizzy reads the letter from
Darcy after the rejection of his proposal or the reaction from the Bennet s learning of the news of
Lydia and even when Lady Catherine and the way she reacts to Lizzy when she thinks Darcy had
proposed to Lizzy. These are all events that happen inside a character s head more or less and help
shape the rest of the story without anything major happening. The events that happen mentally, like
when the characters are reacting to something or reading a letter, those are just as important as the
ones which can actually ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

What Are The Competitors Of Tesco
Competitors of Tesco PLC
The competitors of Tesco PLC are interested in the level of revenue and profit due to being able to
make decisions to improve themselves as a business. For example, cheaper prices. As the competitors
will need to find a way to attract customers from Tesco PLC for them to survive against the
competitors. Other interests from the competitors would be to have a competitive edge and the
changes in trends and technology. Also, to be the best in the industry of supermarket.
A competitor such as ASDA may have conflicts with the workers for not being paid well enough. This
is a conflict because the workers could go somewhere else that s similar for a better wage where the
owners would reinvest into the wages of the workers. Another conflict may be with the competitors
over who s the best. For example, competing who has the best profit. This is a conflict because of
wanting to the best and attract the most customers for profit. Also, a conflict may be with the
customers by restricting choice, deals and higher prices. For example, only a small variety of clothes.
This is a conflict because the customers will go somewhere else for buying products such as clothes
for cheaper and more choice so then more customers will be attracted. Therefore, there would be more
profit.

Walla Wine History
TITLE
Walla Walla, Washington: Wonderful Wines In The West
LEAD PARAGRAPH
It was not long ago when Walla Walla was known for their sweet yellow onions and not much else.
Wine changed all of that. What started in the 1970s as a test to see if grapes liked the same soil as
onions, has now exploded into a fine wine mecca. When Gary Figgins planted the first wine grapes on
his homestead in 1974 nobody knew just how big this wine experiment would turn out.
This sleepy town at the foot of the round and rolling Blue Mountains is quickly becoming one of
North America s premier wine destinations. The effects can be seen even for the casual first time
visitor to Walla Walla. Home prices have risen rapidly, excellent new restaurants keep adding to an ...

Main Street features a female winemaker producing a tasty lineup of chardonnay, viognier, merlot,
cabernet sauvignon, rosé of cabernet franc, and a syrah and Grenache blend. We tasted the rose and
liked it enough to buy a bottle to take home. DaMa occupies an artsy space that is still a bit in progress
as the owners decide what to do with all the room they have.
For a tasting room with a decent outdoor patio, try Kontos Cellars at 10 N. 2nd Avenue. At Kontos,
find ultra premium Bordeaux style wines. Kontos waives their tasting fee when you have a designated
driver! If you can t come up with your own designated driver consider hiring one of the many wine
tour operators in the area. One such operator, Main Street Drivers, will drive your car for around
$35USD per hour and can drive either your personal car or rental car and be fully insured to do so.
Gard Vintners has a tasting room at 43 North Main Street. They make excellent wines from
sustainably grown grapes in the Columbia Valley. Their 2016 white blend (Freyja) is reminiscent of a
good French or Italian white table wine and won t break the bank at 14USD per bottle. Several of
Gard s red wines have garnered 90+ point ratings. Try their red blend (Reverence Red) with 49%
syrah, 38% grenache, and 13% viognier for a good example why their wines score highly.

Stalingrad Turning Point
In August 1942, Hitler s massive Sixth Army marched to the city that was named after Stalin. During
the five month siege, the Russians fought to hold the city and were determined to hold it at any cost.
The book Stalingrad shows the roles of soldiers on both the Russian and German side, as well as
fighting in inhuman conditions, and some of the experiences from civilians who were trapped in the
battlefield. Antony Beevor interviewed some of the survivors and discovered new untold stories and
facts in a wide range of German and Soviet archives. Some of these included prisoner interrogations
and reports of desertions and executions. As a story of cruelty, courage, and human suffering,
Stalingrad is extraordinary and unforgettable. Many historians argue that the Battle of Stalingrad was
the turning point of WW II in Europe. During the course of war, changes in moods, thoughts, and
impressions of the Germans, Romanians and Soviets were easily depicted. It documents the impact on
the psychological changes of the war but justifies how it changed the history of modern warfare as we
know it. Stalingrad is a story of the well known Battle of Stalingrad that took place on the Eastern
Front of Europe during World War II, which is written by world renowned historian Antony Beevor. It
covers all the parts of the siege from start to finish, it begins from the Axis invasion of the USSR, right
up to the very end of the outcomes of the various prisoners of war that were captured at

Nietzsche s Views On God And Religion
Friedrich Nietzsche is a very blunt and straightforward philosopher and I was very surprised by his
writings, he is very different from philosophers in general as they do are never so blunt and
straightforward. Nietzsche, unlike other philosophers comes straight to the point whereas philosophers
generally beat around the bush . I found Nietzsche s readings to be very refreshing and interesting, he
had something new to say on the topic of God and religion. Nietzsche is not in favor of the idea that
God exists, in fact, he believes God to be dead. He seems to be not in favor of religions either, he
spoke very ill of them and is very passionately against the whole idea of religions in generally,
especially Christianity. Although I did find Nietzsche s

Literature Review Of The Nile Perch
Abstract
The Nile Perch is a freshwater fish mostly found and spread out in the Afrotropic ecozone. It feeds on
fish including its own kind, and other small fish such as minnows and shrimp. It sometimes even feeds
on small insects and brush that is found in the water. Which makes it an invasive species in just about
any lake it is introduced into. It is a great food fish and is also popular to fisherman because it attacks
attacks fishing lures.
Literature Review
Before being introduced into lake Victoria, the Nile Perch was mainly found spread out over the
Afrotropic ecozone. It is native to many river basins as in lake Chad and the Nile river it was also
found in Lake Maryut in the northern part of Egypt. The Nile was introduced to Lake Victoria to try
and help boost the fishing industry but little did they know it was going to cause many of problems
with other fish and insects in the water.
The Nile Perch is part of the fish family known as Latidae. It is a silver color with a blue like fade. It
has dark black eyes, with a yellow outer ring surrounding them. The Adult Nile perch can occupy just
about any kind of habitat as long as it has plenty of oxygen but the younger ones tend to like the
shallower parts of the water or anything that is close to the shore. It was introduced into lake victoria
in the 1950 s and has been a ecological problem ever since. It can grow up to 6 feet and as big as 500
pounds. It gives commercial fisherman a fish to catch because it is

Passive Authentication Effect On Enterprise Security
Wechsler, 2012).
Passive Authentication Effect on Enterprise Security The primary goals of an enterprise s information
security efforts are to ensure that data are available to the users, the data maintains its integrity, and
that the information remains confidential. However, this means that their information systems and
networks are vulnerable to an increased number of malicious and opportunistic risks (Stanciu Tinca,
2016). The research conducted by Dahbur, Z. Bashabsheh, and D. Bashabsheh (2017) describes the
basic security elements that require consideration in an enterprise as the people, technology,
procedures, and policies. Among these, the role of technology is of interest when considering a
passive authentication model. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another consideration for an enterprise s passive biometrics implementation is the use of the
biometric templates. According to Bhatnagar Spantzel et al. (2010), biometric templates are analogous
with source symbols collected at the time of registration, or enrollment. However, depending on the
biometric method used and compression available, these can become quite sizable reducing the
organization s storage capacity (Jain et al., 2000). In addition, biometrics can be implemented either
on the server or client side of a system. The fact that clients are remotely located challenges its
implementation. This is because this type of authentication gives the client responsibility and authority
for the authentication (Itakura Tsujii, 2005). Nonetheless, efforts have been made to strengthen client
side authentication such as the inclusion of error correcting code, fuzzy concepts for behavior
profiling, and key generation (Bhatnagar, Lall, Patney, 2010). A final consideration involves
implementation itself. There are often challenges associated with integrating the biometric
authentication model with existing infrastructure (Charndra Calderor, 2005). Likewise, users often
have strong resistance to utilizing new systems due to the struggle between its characteristics and the
social context of its use (Kim Kankanhalli, 2009). Conclusion The intention of this

Why Is Multitasking Should Be Allowed In School
Hi my name is Tanika Munroe, I attend Piscataway High School. I am writing to you today
concerning the matter of students having to receive a B average or higher in order to participate in
clubs or sports. In my school I already see such a matter going on. If students don t maintain a certain
grade they are put on something called a sports leave or sports tutoring. This is so the players can get
their grade up so that they can continue to play on the team. I strongly believe that this is unfair
because for one it is hard for someone to get used to multitasking I can speak on this myself. You
might say its something one person can get used to but this is not true, not everyone can get used to
something like that. Secondly, there are kids who play sports that may have learning disabilities, there
should be exceptions for students like that. Lastly, academics do come first but, I believe that sports
and clubs are some of the reasons students look forward to coming to school. ... Show more content on

Multitasking in my words is when you have to joggle more than one task at the same time. When
students have to joggle a sport plus an education, it s not easy. To start off a sport is a big task itself. A
player has to worry about making sure to bring home a win and, bettering their skills. Even to some
parents a sport is a main priority in a child s life. On top of trying to be a top player in their sport, they
also have to try and maintain that B average or higher. Some students are not capable of joggling these
two things. Students should just have a warning at first so they can buck up not just straight disable

Analysis of Firebird by Stravinsky Essay
Analysis of Firebird by Stravinsky
Immediately we are introduced to the leitmotif, major and minor thirds, within a tritone. This returns
at bars 15 18 and at various other parts in the suite of which I will later elaborate. Within the opening
few bars the pizzicato and legato combined in the cello and bass section produces an ominous opening
to the work. The base drum roll and the murky off beat and horn entry at bar 5 makes it clear that it is
evil magic. One of Stravinsky s traits that often appears is how he uses tritones to represent evil
magic, e.g. f# to C, shown in bars 11 and 12, and more simple harmony and chord progressions, e.g.
dominant 7ths and 9ths to show good magic which can bee ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The bars silence leaves the audience in suspense wondering whether or not Ivan has managed to catch
the Firebird, before a certain elegance added in the variations which has a waltz like lilt to it. The high
register, quick rhythms and simple harmony represent good magic and has an uplifting feeling to it.
The imagery is quite clear of a bird teasing Ivan mocking him as he can t quite catch her. In bar 3, the
tonality becomes less clear, and a whole tone scale is used, this is yet another of Stravinsky s traits, he
pushed these boundaries where other great composers were scared to use it. Stravinsky uses the
piccolo to represent the Firebird taking to flight; this can be seen in 2 bars before figure 11. During the
coda there is a feeling of speeding up without actually doing so. The flurry of descending triplet semi
quavers could represent the Firebird falling slowly down, into Ivan s clutch.
Stravinsky s use of orchestra shows that Ivan finally manages to catch her in the pantomime.
(Pantomime used in the traditional sense, miming). The hand stopped horns in figure 20 represents
Ivan actually capturing the Firebird, there is a first inversion augmented 6th and tritones heard three
times during figure 20 this is the firebird trying to escape from Ivan s tight clutch. We hear once again
the original leitmotif in semi quavers, retrograde inverted and simply retrograde.

The Type Of A Vector
A vector is a molecule of DNA used as a vehicle to carry foreign DNA to be expressed or replicated
within cells, including viruses and plasmids. Viruses are obligate intracellular parasites that can only
replicate inside a host cell, which are composed of nucleic acids enclosed by a protein coat called a
capsid (Wessner, D. R. 2010). For example, a viral vector is commonly used to transfer genetic
material into a cell. Vectors were discovered and developed to synthesis and produce proteins for
therapeutic use in humans, such as insulin secretion in diabetic patients. Plasmids can also be used

in order to give that organism a selective advantage e.g. antibiotic resistance. However, Bacteria have

antibiotics. Resistance arises as changes or mutations within the bacteria s genes develop, which help
bacteria grow that are resistant to antibiotics and therefore have an advantage. From researching

By having money, it changes your entire life, social status, and the ability to have almost anything you

world class cuisines. People don t even know who Gatsby is, but they attend his parties because of the
apparent wealth this man has to show. Everybody wants to be apart of the popular and wealthy crowd.
He wanted to be accepted into the high society and these parties are a way to build his status. As
shallow as it sounds, the novel seems to talk about people judging a book by its cover. In other words,
the American dream to the characters in the novel is how wealthy and how much money one has. The

RE: Engaging in trilateral cooperation: Mitigating the Chinese threat to U.S. hegemony in Latin
America
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Barbados is a net importing developing country (NIDC) with food imports significantly exceeding
food exports. As in most Caribbean islands, domestic agricultural output and food processing is
limited. Barbados relies on imports of practically the full range of food products to meet the needs of
its population. In fact, Barbados imports 70% of its food, over a third of which comes from the United
States. As a result, food security in terms of food self sufficiency and self reliance is severely lacking.
Moreover, the expanding tourism sector further fuels the demand for U.S. food products. U.S. exports
to Barbados of snacks, dairy products, processed fruits vegetables, fruit vegetable juices, and seafood
products have all registered increases since 2010. Fresh, chilled and frozen red meat products are also
an important product category which increased by 150% since 2010. These food imports, particularly
those of processed foods, are often associated with increasing weight and higher rates of chronic non
communicable diseases (obesity, diabetes, hypertension, stroke, heart disease, and cancer). Within the
Barbadian population, the increased consumption of animal fats, sugar products and salt from
processed foods has led

The Influence Of The Bobo Doll Experiment
In the contemporary world, there are several considerations regarding the impact of social influences
on the development and growth of a child s temperament and morality.
Television, computer games, food additives, music and the lack of role models are all cited as reasons
for a supposed breakdown in society, and an hyperbolic tendency towards violence.
These concerns have existed for several years, even before the media turned these factors into
sensationalist stories, to try and sell a lot ofnewspapers. During the 1960 s, there was a lot of concern
and dialogue regarding whether or not a child s development was right down tobiological science,
environmental factors or social learning from others around them.
For this purpose, Bandura designed the Bobo Doll Experiment to try ... Show more content on

The Overall Quality Of Life Of The Asian American Community
Healthcare access, unfortunately, is more difficult for residents for who cannot access transportation
easily. All households in San Francisco, though, are within a quarter mile of a local bus route or rail
station. Proximity, however, does not necessarily equal accessibility, as vulnerable residents like low
income individuals or immigrants have a harder time utilizing services. San Francisco is also known
for having the highest income inequality in the state (CDPH, 2012; SFDPH, 2012).
Experience
One can conclude that the overall quality of life of the Asian American community is moderate. There
is access to resources and services that they need, and most of them are readily available. Not all of
the communities living in San Francisco, though, have equal access to certain services, and there are
still various services that needs to be up to par with the state and national benchmarks. Some of the
major factors that affects access are the inability to pay or distance of the service from their location.
For Chinatown residents, they are living in overcrowded conditions, which can increase their risk for
respiratory and ear infections (CDPH, 2012; SPDFH, 2012). They also face poor sanitation, high
environmental noise, and residential fires. Chinatown residents are facing an increasingly elderly
population, while sitting in a medically underserved area (SFDPH, 2012; Human Service Agency of

Analysis Of Broca s Aphasia, A Language And The Brain
PURPOSE The purpose of this paper is to pursue one important and fundamental aim: language and
the brain are purely inseparable since it allows us to perform essential tasks such as generating,
comprehending and expressing speech. With damage to the brain, individuals can no longer perform
such tasks which can ultimately lead to many types of language disorders. The focus of this paper is
Broca s aphasia, a language disorder characterized by the inability to produce written and spoken
speech. Damage to the brain can cause many types of speech impairments as well as comprehension
deficits. INTRODUCTION The ability of humans to speak and understand language is made possible

When the particular information processes in the brain fails and causes Broca s aphasia, a chain
reaction occurs consequently leading to various speech disorders. As for the individual s
comprehension, it has been long believed to remain unaffected although studies are beginning to prove
otherwise. DAMAGE IN THE BRAIN As Thompson states, A sufferer of Broca s aphasia may
understand completely the sentences of others. However, he may not be able to speak at all, or may
speak in sentences that are hard to understand (Thompson, 2013). Toivonen, a professor at Carleton
University, discussed the significance of information flow in the brain using the example of reading
out loud. This example illustrates the phenomenon that when an area of the information pathway is
damaged, correspondingly, the message relay can become interrupted. First and for most, the process
of articulating begins with the Wernicke s area of the brain activating when an individual accesses and
interprets the lexicon, their mental dictionary. From there, the arcuate fascicles, a bundle of nerve
fibres, transmits information sent from the Wernicke s area to the Broca s area. The Broca s area then
interprets this information and transmits articulatory information to the motor cortex. Finally, the
motor cortex directs movement of the muscles to produce and pronounce speech. (Toivonen,

Planning Process Group Essay
Assignment 1
1. Which process group starts at the start and ends at the end of the project and why?
Monitoring and controlling is the process group that starts at the start and ends at the end as it
performs integrated change control to manage and control changes to the cost baseline, scope and
schedule. Further, it helps in analyzing and measuring the performance of the project and finding the
variation of the project from the project management plan and provides asolutions to those problems.
2. Why does the closing process group start so early in the chart?
Since some project deliverables get finished before and get the sponsor acknowledgment that is the
reason the closing process group begins ahead of schedule in the chart.
3. Why do the planning and execution process groups have similar shapes and why is the executing
process group skewed to the right?
Both the planning and the execution process groups have the same shape as we know that everything
that is thought ahead and gets regard in planning process group will be done in the execution process
group. Since the execution is done when the fulfillment of the planning process group, the execution
process group is tilted towards the right. Nonetheless, the most elevated measure of cash and time of
all the process groups is taken by execution process group.
4. Did you see that the executing process group is larger and higher than the planning process group?
Why?

Theme Of Power And Control In The Handmaid s Tale
It is necessary for the government to impose a certain amount of power and control on its citizens for a
society to function properly. However, overuse and misuse of power and control in a society
eliminates the freedom of the residents, forbidding them to live an ordinary life. In the dystopic
futuristic novel, The Handmaid s Tale, Margaret Atwood demonstrates the idea of power and control
through the oppressive society Gilead. The government establishes power and control with the Wall,
the Salvagings, and military control. As well, the government s unique use of the Aunts and Red
Centres demonstrates the unfair oppression and indoctrination of the women and potential Handmaids
within the society. This type of control can be compared to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Offred continuously recounts the advice that Aunt Lydia tells the Handmaids throughout her story.
This indoctrination makes the Handmaids become so accustomed to this new way of life that it
becomes normal to them: Ordinary, said Aunt Lydia, is what you are used to. This may not seem
ordinary to you now, but after a time it will. It will become ordinary (Atwood 33). This proves that
Gilead can transform the natural human response of fear into blankness. Oppression and torture
become accepted because the Handmaids eventually become used to these ideas. The Aunts brainwash
the Handmaids into gradually accepting this new way of life. Once the Handmaids accept this way of
life, it truly shows the persuasive nature of the Aunts and the power both they and the government
hold over the Handmaids. An example of the Aunts brainwashing the Handmaids is when the Aunts
make them believe and accept that Janine was responsible her gang rape. Offred describes the
persuasive nature of the Aunts to the reader: But whose fault was it? Aunt Helena says, holding up one
plump finger. Her fault, her fault, her fault, we chant in unison. Who led them on? Aunt Helena
beams, pleased with us. She did. She did. She did. Why did God allow such a terrible thing to happen?
Teach her a lesson. Teach her a lesson. Teach her a lesson (Atwood 72). This instruction and repetition
the Aunts use demonstrates the inequality and imbalance between them and the Handmaids, who they
are teaching to submit and behave. The Aunts also help to establish power and control with fear and
intimidation. For instance, when Moira was caught from attempting to escape the Red Center, the
Aunts tortured her by beating her feet with steel cables. Moira s punishment is a reminder that the
Aunts have the power to torture the Handmaids, which creates the fear and establishes the

Impact Of Global Trade On Developing Countries
Global (international) trade is one of the most common norms happening all around the world today.
This is one of the core factors that have, over the years, lead the world to becoming more and more
globalized. Globalization is what our society has come to there is always interdependence with one
another. A nation on its own cannot possibly provide for, and meet all their citizen s desires, especially
now with a greater number of immigrants, hence a growing multicultural population. Take for instance
this example: you enter into a supermarket anywhere in the world today, and what you will find are
products and goods from just about every part of the globe; whether it be Greece, China, Italy, India
you name it. However, that said, what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They each specialize in something or the other. For instance, Canada is a resource rich economy; it
exports many of their natural resources to other countries whose economy doesn t have a strong sector
in natural resources, and likewise imports other goods/services from them. Therefore, Global trade, to
some extent, is very crucial for all countries regardless of developmental status. It makes greater sense
to always trade with other nations. International trade allows each nation to specialize in a good or
service that they produce best. Two economic concepts are needed to understand the issue fully:
Comparative advantage and absolute advantage (Frank, Bernanke Osberg, 2012, P. 31). Comparative
advantage is when each country concentrates on the activities for which their opportunity cost is
lowest, and their overall output is maximized (more productive than the other nation in that particular
good/service) (Frank et al, 2012, P. 32). These depend on a country s accumulated physical and human
capital, difference in cultures social institutions, as well as many other factors (Frank et al, 2012, P.
34). This concept encourages countries to specialize in the production of goods and services in which
they have a comparative (also called as competitive) advantage in. On the other hand, Absolute
advantage is when one country as a whole can produce more of a certain good/service faster than the
other (takes relatively less time to produce) (Frank et al, 2012, P.

The Body s Central Nervous System Essay
Research:
The Brain The brain is known as a spongy organ made up of nerve and supportive tissues. It is located
on top of the head and protected by the skull. Beneath, the brain is linked/connected to the spinal cord
whereby they re considered to be the major control network for the body s functions and abilities to do
work. Both the brain and spinal cord comprises the body s Central Nervous System (CNS) and
empowers conscious communication with the body and also helps perform vital operations such as
breathing, releasing hormones, and maintaining blood pressure. The Central Nervous System (CNS)
works along with the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS). According to the Canadian Cancer Society,
PNS is made up of nerves that branch out from the spinal cord to relay messages from the brain to
different parts of the body. In summary, both CNS and PNS enable a person to talk, walk, and do lots
of creative/physical activities. The brain collects and interprets nerve signals from the entire body and
also responds based on information being collected from the person itself. There are so many
complexity in which many parts of the brain controls how we feel/emotional needs, our speech,
movement, body temperature, self awareness, and many more. In depth, the brain is divided into
several sections/groups. Sections include the Cerebrum, Cerebellum, brainstem, and the diencephalon.

Simpl Simple Diffusion
Cells contain a great deal of material within them, like: cytoplasm, ribosomes, mitochondria, and
genetic material, which are found in both eukaryote and prokaryote cells. In order to maintain a stable
environment between these independent elements, cells need to manage what goes in and what goes
out of them. This is called homeostasis, a unifying principle of biology that is only possible thanks to
the cell membrane.
All cells, including plant and animal cells, have a cell membrane. The cell membrane is made out of a
phospholipid bilayer, which contain polar heads and nonpolar tails. This unique structure assists in
regulating homeostasis by controlling what goes in and what goes out of the cell. Most molecules like
oxygen and carbon dioxide have no trouble going through the cell membrane, which is possible
because they are small nonpolar molecules, sharing an equal amount of electrons among the atoms.
This is known as simple diffusion. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because it does not require energy to force the molecules in or out, it is considered a passive transport,

cell membrane on their own. Some transport proteins may act as channels, changing their shape or
opening and closing to get things across. This is known as facilitated diffusion because the proteins

The five choices a speaker can make involves creativity, preparation, style, delivery method, and

Views on Slavery by Higginbotham, Jr.,Winthrop D. Jordan,...
A Leon Higginbotham Jr. s argument in The Ancestry of Inferiority (1619 1662), is that the people of
Virginia had already began to think of black people, be it they were free or indentured servants, as
inferior to themselves before slavery was institutionalized. The Colonist s had already begun to
strategize legalities in regards on how black people were to be disciplined. Higginbotham has two
reasons why Africans were not afforded the same liberties as that of the white indentured servants in
Virginia. The first reason he states is that the majority of white indentured servants came to Virginia
on their own free will. Once they had completed their five or seven year contract with their master,

Mulattoes are automatically classified with the Negro group regardless as to who or what color their
parents are. When slavery is born, mulatto children lose all possible chances of improving their social

slave. They are tradesmen, house servants, and especially, concubines. It is the situation of the
locations that enable a different view on the classification of a people, situations such as men to
women ratio and agricultural production. Unlike the Colonist which adopted only one term from Spain
to describe the offspring between a white person and a Negro or Native American, the islanders used
four different names to classify the different levels of skin color; mulatto, sambo, quadroon, and

The Genre Of Cult Film
The area of study to be explored is genre and my investigation will look into ways we are able to
clarify the vast genre of cult film. Speculated by theorists such as Sconce, Jancovich and many others,
cult film is one of the most diverse and ambiguous genres of the past 60 years in motion picture
history. Beginning in the 1950s with unconventional flicks like Plan 9 from Outer Space and The
Blob, cult film as a quasi genre began to not only reject one set of stylistic conventions, but also
started to expand into various sub genres that it could umbrella . Highlighted by Sconce in his study,

In addition to this, those who construct and encode ideologies and messages into cult films need to

time and space, or providing powerful subject matter, it is through these technical and visual codes
that the text will continuously challenge audience expectation and draw a preferred or oppositional
reading to the weird and wonderful it tries to represent. As argued by Thornton, it is not defined
according to some single, unifying feature shared by all cult movies, but rather through a sub cultural
ideology in filmmakers, films or audiences are seen as existing in opposition to the mainstream.
Therefore, the audience appeal for cult film is not only through its quirky and abnormal generic
values, but also through the plurality of artistic control that is held by the auteur and its audience s

Oedipus Rex and Aristotle Essay example
The Six Elements of a Tragedy in Oedipus Rex Aristotle s The Poetics describes the process of a
tragedy. It is not the guide per se of writing a tragedy but is the idea s Aristotle collected while
studying tragedies. A tragedy, according to Aristotle, consists of six major points. The first and most
important is the plot, which is what all the other points are based on. Such points are: character,
language, thought, melody, and spectacle (Aristotle). A prime example of the usage of these parts in a
tragic drama is evident in Sophocles Oedipus Rex . The plot of a tragedy usually consists of a tragic
hero s fall from grace. Aristotle describes plot in two ways a simple plot and a complex one. In a

Oedipus flaw is he does not know who he is this ignorance leads to him bringing about his own

character and is evident in the speeches of the characters (Aristotle). These speeches reveal the
thoughts and feelings of the character; further allowing the reader to develop a relationship with the
character. In Oedipus Rex thought is illustrated in the speech Oedipus makes when he realizes the
truth about his situations. Language, or diction, is fourth on the list of a tragedy major points. Aristotle
points out that metaphors are the most useful form of language in a tragedy. The main metaphor
portrayed in Oedipus Rex is that of sight and blindness. The king things he sees all but in reality he is
blind to the truth. Ironically the only one who can see the truth is the blind seer Teiresias. Oedipus
begins the play able to see but is blind and ends the play blind but able to see. The fifth major point in
a tragedy is melody. Melody involves the chorus of the drama. Aristotle contends that the chorus
should not be just be an intermission but should add to the plot and character of the tragedy
(Aristotle). This is exemplified in Oedipus Rex in lines INSERT BOOK QUOTE. The last and least

is unconditionally loyal to the King and that Goneril ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Firstly, outside in the storm, Kent enters and offers the two men a place to wait out the horrid weather.
Personal growth occurs for Lear when he says in boy; go first , instructing the Fool to take shelter
before the former King. He begins to consider the Fool not only as someone to use for his own
amusement but rather a human being. Unlike himself, he puts the Fools needs before his own. The
storm humbles and his own suffering to understand that others are also experiencing similar pain.
Subsequently, the former King begins to take responsibility for the inadequate conditions for the poor.
Facing his flaws, he protests that he has ta en/ Too little care of this , and comes to terms with his

How To Break Up With Someone Essay
How To Break Up With Someone
Almost everyone will have to break up with a boyfriend or a girlfriend at some point in his or her life.
Breaking up is honestly a hard thing to do no matter what the situation. At some point in time, you
found something special in this person that you are now going to have to get out of your life. Now
these good times and special features must be bypassed so you can do what s best for you. An easy
way to remember the tools you need is to remember the Wizard of Oz, because all you need is
courage, a heart and a brain.
The first step to ending a relationship is realizing it is going nowhere. Realization is the most
important step. After making this conclusion, your brain knows what to do, even if ... Show more

Tell them what you have learned from the relationship and let them know that you will carry on this
knowledge forever. You can further use your experience from this relationship when you come to
problems in future relationships. Do not attack the person with how they hurt you or hit them with
personal blows. True, there is a reason you are breaking up, but there is no need to include that
because it will only start an argument. This leads us to our next matter, what to do if they ask what
went wrong?
If the person asks what went wrong do not verbally attack them. This could lead to many situations
that could make the break up more difficult, including an unwanted fight. Tell them simply that it is
you and blame yourself. If you blame them they could try to convince you that they can change when
you know they can?t. However, if you blame yourself, he or she cannot say, ?Well you could change
this?? Make up an excuse. You can say you have a lot of stress on you, you don?t want a serious
relationship right now or you have other priorities to tend to. Make sure the excuse is something that
they could not change about their self. This could lead to being manipulated into staying.
After the initial break up is over, make sure to cut off all contact with this person. Do not call them or
go places you might see them. Avoid them at all costs. If you continue to

  • 2. Gerard Jones s Violent Media Is Good For Youth Since the evolution of pop culture in America, the introduction of violent media to young, impressionable minds has been inevitable. As a child ages, they gradually adjust in response to their environment. Accessibility to media, or lack thereof, significantly shapes a child s character no matter the generation they come from. If adolescents are only familiar with rainbows and sunshine, they will never be able to face the harsh truths of reality. Society teaches kids to fear and bottle up feelings of violence and the emotions associated with it, instead of expressing it in a healthy way. This is ultimately not the way to achieve world peace. Nevertheless, ignorant adults attempt to shelter youths from this potential outlet without thoroughly understanding its benefits. American writer, Gerard Jones famous for his comic book and nonfiction writing has developed a compelling perspective on this topic from his cloistered childhood, exhaustive research, and parenting role. In his essay, Violent Media Is Good for Kids , Jones proves that exposure to violent media is necessary to prepare children for the real world. Usually the youth of the late 1960s a time of empowerment and liberation are thought of as wild and outgoing, but not Gerard Jones. As a teenager he lived a somber life of submission and seclusion. Following his parents directives , Jones rejected his genuine emotions and hid under the façade of a nice boy (Jones 199). That all came crashing down when the frail ... • 3. The Legal Model Of Judicial Decision Making That The... In the courts of the United States there are three different models of judicial decision making that the Supreme Court uses. Included are the legal model, in which the decisions are based solely on the provided facts on the case. (Mitchel) It can also choose to let previous case hearings and decisions influence the decision for the case at hand. An example would be Reno v. ACLU where the court ruled that the anti obscenity law was to broadly written that it violated the first amendment right. (Mitchel) Another methodology used is the attitudinal model, where the justices can make any decision they wish without fear of losing their job due to their life term in the position. (Mitchel) A way of viewing this would be imagining a bench with a mixture of conservative and liberal justices, the way the judges interpret the constitution is based on their own ideologies, meaning that the conservative justice will interpret the constitution in a conservative way, and vice versa for the liberal justices. (Mitchel) An example being in the 2000 election, in which the fiasco of Bush s victory in Florida ended up having to be hand tallied, the Supreme Court intervened and due to the five conservative justices ruling against four liberal justices, the court ruled that the hand tally should cease and that Bush should be elected President. (Mitchel) The final method of explanation is the strategic model, which states that justices make decisions based on they think their peers will vote, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Adrienne Rich s Of Woman Born – The End of Motherhood Essay Of Woman Born The End of Motherhood In Of Woman Born, Adrienne Rich effectively weaves her own story into a convincing account of what it means to become a mother within the bonds of patriarchal culture. Her conclusion that the institution of motherhood, which she distinguishes from motherhood, must be destroyed in order to release the creation and sustenance of life into the same realm of decision, struggle, surprise, imagination, and conscious intelligence, as any other difficult, but freely chosen work is substantiated by her courageous confession that contradicts culturally normative notions of motherhood. Allowing readers to glimpse her own story as she painfully evaluates her role as mother side by side with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... because [she] felt [her] own needs acutely and often expressed them violently (32) by raging at her children out of frustration, provides a credible offering to break down an institution that makes women like her angry. It also demonstrates some of the ways in which motherhood has not been women s choice. A reader might be stunned to consider that was written just twenty years ago and that Rich s first pregnancy happened only forty three years ago, since her choices as an educated woman were so limited compared to now. When her account of feeling like she was only acting as a woman (having no idea what she wanted, and having a child because it was expected of a real woman ) is introduced, her lack of choices reads like either a dismal Margaret Atwood science fiction novel or a scene from the very long ago past. Similary, when Rich cites her example of a primitive attitude by quoting a doctor s medical opinion that women are psychologically unbalanced when they attempt to resist the demands of the institution [of motherhood], (263) it is quite surprising to realize that this opinion was written in 1967, a mere thirty years ago. In this way, Rich s story is a tribute to all women who have fought her battle, the battle to have the freedom to choose motherhood. Rich must feel a deep sense of satisfaction in realizing that articulating her struggles has helped many women. Her capacity to transcend her own circumstances is truly remarkable ... • 5. Events In Pride And Prejudice Essay What is so important about the events that happen, but at the same time they do not, like when it only happens in a character s head? Jane Austen has a good way of making the things that happen in a character s head seem as if they are important, major events. It is like when Lizzy reads the letter from Darcy after the rejection of his proposal or the reaction from the Bennet s learning of the news of Lydia and even when Lady Catherine and the way she reacts to Lizzy when she thinks Darcy had proposed to Lizzy. These are all events that happen inside a character s head more or less and help shape the rest of the story without anything major happening. The events that happen mentally, like when the characters are reacting to something or reading a letter, those are just as important as the ones which can actually ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After she reads the letter she has a new found understanding of Mr. Darcy and the way he is and Her feelings as she read were scarcely to be defined. With amazement did she first understand that he believed an apology to be in his power; (198; 5 7) Her feelings for Darcy start to gradually change due to his letter and progress by getting stronger each time they encounter each other. However, Lizzy is still going to be careful due to the fact of Darcy s aunt, Lady Catherine, has already arranged an engagement between her daughter Anne deBourgh and Darcy. Other interests from the competitors would be to have a competitive edge and the changes in trends and technology. Also, to be the best in the industry of supermarket. A competitor such as ASDA may have conflicts with the workers for not being paid well enough. Wine changed all of that. What started in the 1970s as a test to see if grapes liked the same soil as onions, has now exploded into a fine wine mecca. When Gary Figgins planted the first wine grapes on his homestead in 1974 nobody knew just how big this wine experiment would turn out. • 8. Stalingrad Turning Point In August 1942, Hitler s massive Sixth Army marched to the city that was named after Stalin. During the five month siege, the Russians fought to hold the city and were determined to hold it at any cost. The book Stalingrad shows the roles of soldiers on both the Russian and German side, as well as fighting in inhuman conditions, and some of the experiences from civilians who were trapped in the battlefield. Antony Beevor interviewed some of the survivors and discovered new untold stories and facts in a wide range of German and Soviet archives. Some of these included prisoner interrogations and reports of desertions and executions. As a story of cruelty, courage, and human suffering, Stalingrad is extraordinary and unforgettable. Many historians argue that the Battle of Stalingrad was the turning point of WW II in Europe. During the course of war, changes in moods, thoughts, and impressions of the Germans, Romanians and Soviets were easily depicted. It documents the impact on the psychological changes of the war but justifies how it changed the history of modern warfare as we know it. I found Nietzsche s readings to be very refreshing and interesting, he had something new to say on the topic of God and religion. Passive Authentication Effect on Enterprise Security The primary goals of an enterprise s information security efforts are to ensure that data are available to the users, the data maintains its integrity, and that the information remains confidential. However, this means that their information systems and networks are vulnerable to an increased number of malicious and opportunistic risks (Stanciu Tinca, 2016). The research conducted by Dahbur, Z. Another consideration for an enterprise s passive biometrics implementation is the use of the biometric templates. According to Bhatnagar Spantzel et al. (2010), biometric templates are analogous with source symbols collected at the time of registration, or enrollment. However, depending on the biometric method used and compression available, these can become quite sizable reducing the organization s storage capacity (Jain et al., 2000). In addition, biometrics can be implemented either on the server or client side of a system. The fact that clients are remotely located challenges its implementation. This is because this type of authentication gives the client responsibility and authority for the authentication (Itakura Tsujii, 2005). Nonetheless, efforts have been made to strengthen client side authentication such as the inclusion of error correcting code, fuzzy concepts for behavior profiling, and key generation (Bhatnagar, Lall, Patney, 2010). A final consideration involves implementation itself. There are often challenges associated with integrating the biometric authentication model with existing infrastructure (Charndra Calderor, 2005). Likewise, users often have strong resistance to utilizing new systems due to the struggle between its characteristics and the social context of its use (Kim Kankanhalli, 2009). If students don t maintain a certain grade they are put on something called a sports leave or sports tutoring. This is so the players can get their grade up so that they can continue to play on the team. I strongly believe that this is unfair because for one it is hard for someone to get used to multitasking I can speak on this myself. • 15. Analysis of Firebird by Stravinsky Essay Analysis of Firebird by Stravinsky Immediately we are introduced to the leitmotif, major and minor thirds, within a tritone. This returns at bars 15 18 and at various other parts in the suite of which I will later elaborate. Within the opening few bars the pizzicato and legato combined in the cello and bass section produces an ominous opening to the work. The base drum roll and the murky off beat and horn entry at bar 5 makes it clear that it is evil magic. One of Stravinsky s traits that often appears is how he uses tritones to represent evil magic, e.g. f# to C, shown in bars 11 and 12, and more simple harmony and chord progressions, e.g. dominant 7ths and 9ths to show good magic which can bee ... The bars silence leaves the audience in suspense wondering whether or not Ivan has managed to catch the Firebird, before a certain elegance added in the variations which has a waltz like lilt to it. The high register, quick rhythms and simple harmony represent good magic and has an uplifting feeling to it. The imagery is quite clear of a bird teasing Ivan mocking him as he can t quite catch her. In bar 3, the tonality becomes less clear, and a whole tone scale is used, this is yet another of Stravinsky s traits, he pushed these boundaries where other great composers were scared to use it. Stravinsky uses the piccolo to represent the Firebird taking to flight; this can be seen in 2 bars before figure 11. During the coda there is a feeling of speeding up without actually doing so. The flurry of descending triplet semi quavers could represent the Firebird falling slowly down, into Ivan s clutch. Stravinsky s use of orchestra shows that Ivan finally manages to catch her in the pantomime. (Pantomime used in the traditional sense, miming). The hand stopped horns in figure 20 represents Ivan actually capturing the Firebird, there is a first inversion augmented 6th and tritones heard three times during figure 20 this is the firebird trying to escape from Ivan s tight clutch. We hear once again the original leitmotif in semi quavers, retrograde inverted and simply retrograde. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As in most Caribbean islands, domestic agricultural output and food processing is limited. Barbados relies on imports of practically the full range of food products to meet the needs of its population. In fact, Barbados imports 70% of its food, over a third of which comes from the United States. As a result, food security in terms of food self sufficiency and self reliance is severely lacking. Moreover, the expanding tourism sector further fuels the demand for U.S. food products. This example illustrates the phenomenon that when an area of the information pathway is damaged, correspondingly, the message relay can become interrupted. First and for most, the process of articulating begins with the Wernicke s area of the brain activating when an individual accesses and interprets the lexicon, their mental dictionary. From there, the arcuate fascicles, a bundle of nerve fibres, transmits information sent from the Wernicke s area to the Broca s area. However, overuse and misuse of power and control in a society eliminates the freedom of the residents, forbidding them to live an ordinary life. In the dystopic futuristic novel, The Handmaid s Tale, Margaret Atwood demonstrates the idea of power and control through the oppressive society Gilead. The government establishes power and control with the Wall, the Salvagings, and military control. As well, the government s unique use of the Aunts and Red Centres demonstrates the unfair oppression and indoctrination of the women and potential Handmaids within the society. This type of control can be compared to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Offred continuously recounts the advice that Aunt Lydia tells the Handmaids throughout her story. This indoctrination makes the Handmaids become so accustomed to this new way of life that it becomes normal to them: Ordinary, said Aunt Lydia, is what you are used to. This may not seem ordinary to you now, but after a time it will. It will become ordinary (Atwood 33). This proves that Gilead can transform the natural human response of fear into blankness. Oppression and torture become accepted because the Handmaids eventually become used to these ideas. The Aunts brainwash the Handmaids into gradually accepting this new way of life. Once the Handmaids accept this way of life, it truly shows the persuasive nature of the Aunts and the power both they and the government hold over the Handmaids. An example of the Aunts brainwashing the Handmaids is when the Aunts make them believe and accept that Janine was responsible her gang rape. Offred describes the persuasive nature of the Aunts to the reader: But whose fault was it? Aunt Helena says, holding up one plump finger. Her fault, her fault, her fault, we chant in unison. Who led them on? Aunt Helena beams, pleased with us. She did. She did. She did. Why did God allow such a terrible thing to happen? Teach her a lesson. Teach her a lesson. Teach her a lesson (Atwood 72). This instruction and repetition the Aunts use demonstrates the inequality and imbalance between them and the Handmaids, who they are teaching to submit and behave. The Aunts also help to establish power and control with fear and intimidation. For instance, when Moira was caught from attempting to escape the Red Center, the Aunts tortured her by beating her feet with steel cables. Moira s punishment is a reminder that the Aunts have the power to torture the Handmaids, which creates the fear and establishes the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. Impact Of Global Trade On Developing Countries Global (international) trade is one of the most common norms happening all around the world today. This is one of the core factors that have, over the years, lead the world to becoming more and more globalized. Globalization is what our society has come to there is always interdependence with one another. A nation on its own cannot possibly provide for, and meet all their citizen s desires, especially now with a greater number of immigrants, hence a growing multicultural population. Take for instance this example: you enter into a supermarket anywhere in the world today, and what you will find are products and goods from just about every part of the globe; whether it be Greece, China, Italy, India you name it. For instance, Canada is a resource rich economy; it exports many of their natural resources to other countries whose economy doesn t have a strong sector in natural resources, and likewise imports other goods/services from them. Therefore, Global trade, to some extent, is very crucial for all countries regardless of developmental status. It makes greater sense to always trade with other nations. International trade allows each nation to specialize in a good or service that they produce best. Two economic concepts are needed to understand the issue fully: Comparative advantage and absolute advantage (Frank, Bernanke Osberg, 2012, P. 31). Comparative advantage is when each country concentrates on the activities for which their opportunity cost is lowest, and their overall output is maximized (more productive than the other nation in that particular good/service) (Frank et al, 2012, P. 32). These depend on a country s accumulated physical and human capital, difference in cultures social institutions, as well as many other factors (Frank et al, 2012, P. 34). This concept encourages countries to specialize in the production of goods and services in which they have a comparative (also called as competitive) advantage in. On the other hand, Absolute advantage is when one country as a whole can produce more of a certain good/service faster than the other (takes relatively less time to produce) (Frank et al, 2012, P. ... It is located on top of the head and protected by the skull. Beneath, the brain is linked/connected to the spinal cord whereby they re considered to be the major control network for the body s functions and abilities to do work. Both the brain and spinal cord comprises the body s Central Nervous System (CNS) and empowers conscious communication with the body and also helps perform vital operations such as breathing, releasing hormones, and maintaining blood pressure. The Central Nervous System (CNS) works along with the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS). According to the Canadian Cancer Society, PNS is made up of nerves that branch out from the spinal cord to relay messages from the brain to different parts of the body. In summary, both CNS and PNS enable a person to talk, walk, and do lots of creative/physical activities. The brain collects and interprets nerve signals from the entire body and also responds based on information being collected from the person itself. Simpl Simple Diffusion Cells contain a great deal of material within them, like: cytoplasm, ribosomes, mitochondria, and genetic material, which are found in both eukaryote and prokaryote cells. In order to maintain a stable environment between these independent elements, cells need to manage what goes in and what goes out of them. This is called homeostasis, a unifying principle of biology that is only possible thanks to the cell membrane. All cells, including plant and animal cells, have a cell membrane. The cell membrane is made out of a phospholipid bilayer, which contain polar heads and nonpolar tails. This unique structure assists in regulating homeostasis by controlling what goes in and what goes out of the cell. Most molecules like oxygen and carbon dioxide have no trouble going through the cell membrane, which is possible because they are small nonpolar molecules, sharing an equal amount of electrons among the atoms. A Leon Higginbotham Jr. s argument in The Ancestry of Inferiority (1619 1662), is that the people of Virginia had already began to think of black people, be it they were free or indentured servants, as inferior to themselves before slavery was institutionalized. The Colonist s had already begun to strategize legalities in regards on how black people were to be disciplined. Higginbotham has two reasons why Africans were not afforded the same liberties as that of the white indentured servants in Virginia. It is the situation of the locations that enable a different view on the classification of a people, situations such as men to women ratio and agricultural production. The first and most important is the plot, which is what all the other points are based on. Such points are: character, language, thought, melody, and spectacle (Aristotle).
