The Effects Of Global Warming On The Environment And...
The phenomena of global warming are the main factors that lead to the world climate change. The
phenomena give a bad impact on the environmental quality that includes uncertainly of world
temperature and a rising sea level (Maslin, 2004). According the Smith (2005) the other bad impact
on global warming is, increased a greenhouse gaseous emissions, higher atmospheric temperatures,
intense precipitation, and increased indoor discomfort. The environmental problem and pollution is
becoming a global nightmare and commonly affects the urban areas. This also gives many negative

Deforestation is believed to be another major cause of global warming. The cutting and burning of
about 34 million acres of trees each year resulted in an increase of 25% carbon dioxide entering the
atmosphere Ismail et al. (2010). Environmental pollution is becoming more common in the urban
areas and has produced many negative environmental impacts to society. One of the effects is an
urban heat island phenomenon in which the temperature in urban areas is higher than the
surrounding area. Climate change not only gives impact to the environment but also to the natural
heating and cooling processes of buildings. The warmer outside temperature will affect the indoor
temperature and thermal comfort of buildings. When the outdoor air temperature increases,
buildings will experience indoor discomfort and this situation will lead to a higher demand for
mechanical ventilation and increased energy consumption in buildings. Various studies have shown
that passive and low energy cooling are the most preferred techniques used to minimise the solar
load and conductive daytime heat gain through the building. Climate change does not only give an

from a high angled shot how Nina looks so powerful and sad at the same time. Then the high
angle shot also captures her as she finally leaps off the platform and lands on the mattress. After
the show ends everyone cheers with joy and the other dancers and Thomas surround her while she
is still laying on the mattress looking up at everyone. Lily is the first to notice blood on Nina s

Causes Of Migration To America
What reasons would you up and move to a new country? European settlers came to America to

approximately sixty eight million immigrant have migrated to America since the year 1970.
Think to yourself, what is the reason that all these immigrants have migrated to America, and
what effect do they have on Americans? One reason that European settlers have migrated to
America is for their freedom rights. In the short story Balboa , by Sabrina Murray, a spanish

Yes, Uber has many different divisions, that allow for the organization to best meet the needs for
the market. By having definite divisions, it allows Uber to specifically state the roles of that
division. Therefore, it allows for accountability to be taken by each division. Responsibility can be
taken by that area. Relating to organization culture, it allows for Uber to create subcultures
internally that allows that division to best reach their goals. Most importantly, it allows for
organizational efficiency. By having so many divisions, Uber can quickly reach the needs of the
internal and external stakeholders.
According to the textbook, a core competency is a manager s skills and abilities in value creation
activities such as manufacturing, R D, managing new technology and organizational design and
change. (pg.12) These core competencies cause a competitive advantage which is the ability of
one company to outperform another because its managers are able to create more value from the
resources at their disposal (pg. 12). Uber s core competency is creating a customer user face that
is universally functional. Their applications allow for access to both high and low end services
that are reliable such UberX and UberBlack. Also, the overall business operation is capable for their

The Central Concern Of The National Curriculum
The central concern that this case study seeks to address, is whether or not play should continue to
be influential in the acquisition of language with regards to readiness to learn within the National
curriculum. This emotive subject was found by the researcher to be ever present when providing
for needs of the child with SEN and EAL within year one, finding the restriction to movement and
space detrimental to learning. Roberts Holmes (2012) concurs this highlighting the conflict of
interests between the EYFS and the National Curriculum where play based learning is very much
decreased. In addition Tickell (2011) shares concerns about the disconnect between the EYFS and
the National Curriculum recommending a smoother transition between the two. Brock (2009)
confirms this by speaking of the need for the transition to be more fluent by teacher through a
more play based curriculum. However such planning is found by McInnes et al (2011) to be
heavily influenced by the predisposed understanding and perceptions of the individual teacher.
Therefore an analysis of such thoughts and perceptions towards play within year one, will also be
examined/evaluated throughout the research. The research itself will take place within two schools
which have been chosen from within similar socioeconomic disadvantaged areas of Stoke on Trent
(DPH Annual report 2011). The researcher, due to work constraints, considered it unfeasible to
involve all seventy primary schools within this locality.

Future Goals Analysis
Future Goals:
In the fall of 2017 I will be attending Lycoming College. I am currently undecided on what I will
be majoring in but, I do know one thing. I want to travel. I want to see all that the world has to
offer and see every corner of the globe possible. Thankfully, my college has a very nice study
abroad program and they have an organization that is called Habitat for Humanity that takes many
trips throughout the year. Even though that I am going into college undecided I do have some
choices in mind for my career one of them being Political Science. With my political science
degree I could become a political advocate for a community or cause.
I am currently terrified that I will not find the career that fits me. I have so many options ahead
for me, but I can not seem to find the right fit. I want to travel and be able to help people but a lot
of the jobs pertaining to humanities do not always have the greatest salaries. What happens if I
can not find a job with both a good salary and the humanities aspect I am looking for? Also, with
entering college my second fear was realized, what if I can not make any friends? One of the
biggest ones I have for college is being able to make new friends. I have such a tight knit group of

maybe (if my partner agrees) I will adopt a child instead of having my own. In 20 years I just want

Free will is the power of making free choices unconstrained by external agencies. For the
Catholics this statement is good for them as they are free to do good or evil. But for Protestants,
this is not the case. They are only free to do good things. Predestination is being determined in
advance where God chooses what will happen to you in life and what happens to you in the after
life. Catholics believe that your predestination is based on God s foreknowledge of you and your
actions while Protestants believe that your predestination is related to God s decrees. The
interpretation of the Bible is different as the Catholic interpretation includes apocrypha which are
books of the Bible that are added in to the Old Testament. While Protestants omit these 14 books
of the Bible. These are just a few differences between the Protestants and the beliefs of the Roman
Catholic Church. Marriage is accepted in both religions and shows the unity of two people and
shows their beliefs and sacrifices for God. Divorce on the other hand, is accepted by Protestants but
discouraged and is accepted as evidence of human weakness. While with Catholics, divorce is

Early History Of Human Overpopulation
Overpopulation of Humans
Within the early history of the human race, the earth was titanic and appeared boundless. Its
resources seemed limitless. Then as the humans traveled away from home, the world got smaller
and most of the world was recorded onto maps. Soon, the numbers of people were growing and the
world and its natural resources looked as if it was shrinking. The overpopulation of an creature is
dangerous to any environment, but with humans its deadly for the whole world.
In biology, it states that when life is pleasurable and resources are abundant, life will begin to grow
exponentially until space and food become scarce. At that moment the population of whatever
creature will even out and remain stable. However, in nature, land and resources are limited, so all
forms of life are in a constantly competing for survival. Adaptability and evolution helps the lucky
certain creatures with new skills or traits that will aid them to become fit and reproduce. With the
early humans, their numbers began to grow dramatically due to their involvement in agriculture to
produce their own food in vast amounts. Then, as man s tools and farming techniques were
developed to produce more food, the human population grew dramatically, again. This allowed a
civilization to trade ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Value Of Characters In Great Expectations
I must be taken as I have been made. The success is not mine, the failure is not mine, but the two
together make me (Dickens). In this quote, Dickens is stating that a person is characterized by
their actions, sacrifices, and intentions. A person s overall character is a result of the choices they
have made. The sacrifices of characters in Great Expectationsshows their values and how they
affect the people around them.
A character that has made major sacrifices in Great Expectations is Magwitch. Magwitch not
only gave up all his money, but all his time as well. After Pip gives Magwitch some stolen food,
Magwitch dedicates the rest of his life to serving Pip (14). Magwitch never forgets what Pip did for
him and feels like he is indebted to him and must remain loyal for the rest of his life (139). The
sacrifice of Magwitch s money and time proves his value of loyalty. Magwitch never shows a
hint of doubt to Pip and follows him faithfully wherever he goes. Even though Pip is disgusted
by Magwitch at first, Magwitch does not give up on fulfilling Pip s great expectations. Magwitch
wants to see Pip as a gentleman, but Pip never realizes what this fully means until Magwitch is
taken away from him. When Magwitch is captured, he tells Pip, I m quite content to take my
chance. I ve seen my boy, and he can be a gentleman without me. In saying this, Magwitch
acknowledges that Pip has finally chosen his values and can make the right choices on his
own(193). Magwitch also proves

Civil War in Syria. On March of 2011, protests appeared in the southern city of Deraa after police
arrested and tortured some teenagers who illegally painted revolutionary slogans on a school
wall. But the peaceful protests rapidly grew into rebel fighting against the government after the
government s violent crackdown. In July, 2011, a group of defected Syrian officers founded the

and ethnic groups made the domestic conflict even more complicated. The rampage rose up and
descended the country situation into civil war as rebel groups were created to fight against the
regime forces for taking over some areas.(Mercy Corps, 2015) Until February 2015, according to
United Nations report, the total death toll has exceed 210,000, and about half of them are

Essay about The Grade Inflation Epidemic
The Grade Inflation Epidemic
It s June, and another graduating class is hoping, among other things, to achieve high grades. Of
course, high is a subjective target. Originally a C meant average; today however, the expectations
and pressures to give and receive A s and B s takes its tollon teachers and students alike. This
nullifies the value of the traditional grading scale and creates a host of entirely new problems. The
widespread occurrence of grade inflation seriously affects the credibility of secondary and post
secondary education in America.
The definition of an acceptable grade has changed significantly over the years. Grade inflation
seemed to begin in earnest in the late 1960s after the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gary Coe, principal and athletic director of Mary Walker High School in Springdale, agrees. He
says that he has definitely seen a rise in the average grades. Some students are maintaining much
higher grades with the same work that would have earned much less even five years ago. He
further notes many recent valedictorians of his small school have received well below the
average on their SAT scores. Coe attributes his top student s higher grades and low test scores to
qualities possessed in a student such as: willingness to work and good attitude which aren t always
apparent at test time. He believes that even some of the best students take classes now just to get a
grade and not to maximize their learning. Interestingly, Coe doesn t feel parents put any particular
pressure on the teachers to bestow high grades on their children.
Teachers, on the other hand, have a startlingly different perspective. Kevin Jacka, the high school
s school to work coordinator, head football coach, and PE instructor for the past ten years, says
he sees now that the C grade is not acceptable to most people, and it no longer represents the
average student. The school s policy to make D a failing grade has limited the range of marks to
three. He states that he feels the pressure of parents and their children to give A s and B s , even
when students do F work. Incentives such as weekly sports grade checks, have

Historic Life Of Indigenous People And Europeans
Historic Life of Indigenous People and Europeans Europeans were the first to travel to the New
World, where they came to discover a diversity of Native American People living there. These
indigenous people had unique languages and beliefs. Europeans observed the distinct people and
began to wonder how they migrated to this New World. It was not until Hernan Cortes arrival in
Mexicothat new empires began to immerge onto this new society. The first main Mesoamerican
civilizations were the Olmecs. They were first heard of residing in the Southern regions of
Mexico in which they lived in unique organized villages. These villages were effective in their
crops which included corn, beans, chile peppers and cotton. The villages were effective in a way
that everyone had an important role in helping each other out to survive. Two significant cities
during the Olmec history were the establishment of San Lorenzo and La Venta. These cities were
political, economic and religious centers. Olmecs had a distinct lifestyle, such as their earliest
inventions such as the Mesoamerican ball game and tortillas. The Aztecs and Mayan civilizations
groups shared Olmec backgrounds. Mayans possessed kingdoms that had authority over the

Causes Of Celiac Disease
Every day, people are diagnosed with various diseases. Many of these diseases affect different
parts of the body, including but not limited to the stomach, liver, or heart. One disease that affects
the stomach is celiac disease. Celiac disease occurs in the small intestine where it destroys the
stomach lining and causes the stomach to not be able to digest any gluten products: wheat, barley,
or rye. A person may find out one has celiac disease through bloodtests and an endoscopy. There is
no cure for celiac disease, and a person will have it for the rest of one s life. The only current
treatment that can help is a strict gluten free diet. However, researchers are working hard to

This process often wastes resources because short prison stays do not last long enough for offenders
to benefit from drug treatment and other rehabilitative programs. Moreover, housing low risk
inmates with high risk inmates reduces the likelihood that low level offenders rehabilitate and
avoid crime after release. This will save the State of Illinois Billions of dollars which could be used
to services, which could make a new taxpayer.
Discourage prison for low risk offenders: For low risk offenders, incarceration often isn t a cost
effective use of public resources. Work with judges explains at sentencing why incarceration, rather
than an alternative such as probation, is appropriate when a low level offender hasn t been on

Characters In William Shakespeare s Hamlet As A Tragic Hero
In the play Hamlet , Shakespeare dramatises the revenge found within Prince Hamlet when he is
greeted upon by his father s ghost who calls for him to avenge his death. Throughout the play you
come to find that Hamlet s uncle is the one that killed his father, in order to steal the fair maiden
and the throne . With these occurrences happening in Hamlets life he is known as a tragic hero. It
takes three things to be considered a Tragic Hero: Being from Noble Blood, has a tragic flaw,
and experiences a downfall. Hamlet begins with noble intentions whenever he introduced to a
new conflict, throughout the play his never ending peril and conflicts reign over him until his
death. Sadly, Hamlet died before he could see any of the outcomes from his actions. In
Shakespeare s Hamlet the leading character, Hamlet faces three turning points that caused him to
ultimately be named a Tragic hero: the death of his father, the impeccable use of his words, and
his ability to fake his madness to get a confession from his uncle, which ultimately ended with his
demise. In Act 1 Scene 5, Hamlet s father appears once again, but this time had the intent to talk
to Hamlet. With a bitter tongue and a sincere warning, Hamlet s father exhorted, Tis given out
that, sleeping in my orchard. A serpent stung me; so the whole ear of Denmark. Is by a forged
process of my death. Rankly abused: but know, thou noble youth. The serpent that did sting thy
father s life. Now wears his crown. (Act 1 Scene

Interactive Writing Process Analysis
It has come to my understanding that you have mixed feelings about allowing interactive writing in
the classroom. I m going to pose a few questions for you to think about. What single teaching
technique can be used to aid in the development of phonological skills and help children attribute
meaning to print? How can teachers create a lesson that permits whole group instruction and
individual attention at the same time? How can the teacher practice skills without losing the
engagement of the class? How can learning to read and write be enjoyable for students? The answer
to these questions is interactive writing. Let s first start off with some background information on
just what interactive writing is, its purpose and some uses of... Show more content on

The first step in the interactive writing process is to provide active learning experiences. Because
students share countless mutual experiences at school, there s a lot to choose from to write about
during interactive writing. Reading and responding to a story the teacher has read is another way to
share a learning experience. Lastly, allowing students to share personal experiences from their home
life and community initiates a writing experience. Whatever way a teacher decides to start a writing
experience, it s imperative that students are engaged in the process and that the teacher is pulling
from students prior knowledge of an experience they shared together. Establishing the topic comes
next in the interactive writing process. The topic for the interactive writing activity comes by way
of the students joint common experience. Teachers facilitate a discussion with students around their
shared experience as they form sentences they will later put on paper. During this time, the teacher
emboldens students to express themselves in ways that implicitly capture their experience.
Composing the text, or negotiating, follows establishing the topic in the interactive writing
experience. During this step, the teachers and students decide how they will say what they want to
write. The wording and phrasing is a coconstructuve effort between the teacher and students. As
always, the teacher facilitates a discussion to develop a story or a sentence. Once a collective
decision is made, the teacher has the students repeat what they will write numerous times before
beginning to write. This is done so the students remember the sentences and can predict the
following word when it comes time to write. Writing the text, or constructing, is the fourth step of
the interactive writing process. While writing, the teacher and

Therefore, the pressure of the blood in the vessels is higher, causing pulmonary hypertension. If
blood cannot filter through the lungs properly, it does not get completely oxygenated. Poorly
oxygenated blood can cause many other issues to the body, so it is important to properly treat
pulmonary hypertension. Many different medications are used in treatment of pulmonary
hypertension including: Vasodilators, Endothelin Receptor Antagonists, Sildenafil, Tadalafil,
Prostacyclins, Calcium Channel Blockers, Anticoagulants, Diuretics, and Oxygen. Due to the fact
that the underlying cause of pulmonary hypertension is unknown, there are many studies on the
disease and the drugs used to treat it (Voelkel, Bogaard, Gomez Arroyo, 2015). This review will
discuss the different types of medications used to treat pulmonary hypertension. Some of the
medications are found to be more effective than others based on the results of many studies that
have been performed on animals and humans. The goal of this review is to successfully compare
and contrast these different drugs based off of the studies performed on them.
Method
For this review, the Kettering College library online database was used to find peer reviewed
articles as references. Beginning on February 22, 2015, the search treatment of pulmonary
hypertension was used to narrow the results for the study. To shorten the results further, the year

The Culture Of Dissent In The 1960 s
Due to the Cold War, the 1960s saw a worldwide increase in students with higher levels of
education, who, armed with a language of dissent from academic literature, generated
counterresponses to both capitalism and communism. In the US, writers like Galbraith and
Goldwater inspired dissident student voices from both the political left and right. While some
were inspired by Johnson s and Randolph s Civil Rights rhetoric, and participated in Freedom

Gaspard de Sauveterre a 75 year old majority owner, and equal partial owners: Francois de

The problem that this proposal introduces, according to her uncle Francois, is that it would add too
many unnecessary and uncontrollable risks to the chateau. Such risks include: the need to purchase
grapes to make the wine, raising concerns and possibly harming relationships with the negociants,
investing in a distribution channel, having to take care of the marketing, insurance, and all other
aspects that the negociants already perform for them, and most importantly, it may compromise
their Grand Vin and Puine wines as consumers and vendors perceptions may negatively change
toward the quality and reputation of de Vallois. Going through some of the details within the case,
I feel that the company would benefit from following Claire s general proposal, to create a lower
priced brand and enter a new market. My recommendation is that Chateau de Vallois at least invest
time and effort in researching the market and truly investigating the opportunity for growth. This
benefit would be present so long as de Vallois conducts a thorough market research before entering
the affordable luxury market to gain an understanding of the consumers needs and wants, the
demand that is present in the market for those young wine enthusiasts, and to be able to match de
Vallois strengths with these needs. They would also need to identify where they would want the

When using McKay et al (2009) advice on active listening, it has unfortunately backfired on me
when working with co workers in a meeting. When working in a team of students active listening

An Argument Against Abortion Essay
Abortion in America is a controversial issue in which both
sides have valid arguments at face value. The pro choice side has many
arguments to support it belief in keeping abortion legal. Many of these are
faulty, and argue points irrelevant to the issue as I will attempt to
illustrate, thereby eliminating the main pro choice arguments.
The pro life position has somewhat different ideas. The most
popular of these is: The unborn entity is fully human from the moment of
conception. Abortion results in the intentional death of the unborn entity.
Therefore, abortion can be defined the intentional killing of a human being.
This killing is in most cases unjustified, since the unborn human being has a ... Show more content

The reason this argument doesn t work is because it is begging
the question. In fact, this lie hides behind a good percentage of the popular
arguments for the pro choice position. One begs the question when one assumes
what one is trying to prove is correct.
The question begging of the coat hanger argument is very obvious: but only by
assuming that the unborn are not fully human does the argument work. If the
unborn are not fully human, then the pro choicer has a legitimate concern,
just as one would have in overturning a law forbidding appendicitis
operations if countless people were needlessly dying of both appendicitis and
illegal operations. But if the unborn are fully human, this pro choice
argument is the same as saying that because people die or are harmed while
killing other people, the state should make it safe for them to do so.
Even some pro choicers, who argue for their position in other ways, admit
that the
coat hanger/back alley argument is crap. Although statistics cant establish
a particular moral position, there has been arguments over both the actual
number of illegal abortions and the number of women who died as a result of
them before legalization. Prior to Roe vs Wade, pro choicers used saying that
nearly a million women every year obtained illegal abortions performed

How Does Masculinity Affect Women
We often see women affected by social norms and negatively represented but it s always good to
look at the other side of the spectrum. Masculinity can deeply affect and cause issues in boys and
young men. These issues are mainly emotional damages and the definition of what being a man is.
On of the ways to fix this would be to better represent masculinityand widen the spectrum of what a
manreally is. First of all, the definition of what being a man is a central issue for young males.
Paul Theroux talks about always liking being a man in his essay, Being a Man. He points out that,
Fiction Вwriting is equated with a kind of dispirited failure and is only manly when it produces
wealth money is masculinity. So is drinking. This shows... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Rebecca Walkers Putting Down the Gun, she states that, When I asked him about making
friends based on common interest rather than superficial categories, he got flustered. You don t
understand, he said huffily. Boys talk about sports, like their matches and who scored what and
stuff or they talk about new version... Tears welled up in her eyes. I don t have anything to talk
about. In this quote we can see the emotional damages of expectations in Walkers eleven year old
son. He has to pretend to be someone he is not in order to make a conversation with someone.
This shows the pressures of masculinity on young males. The constraints of conversations has
brought an eleven year old into tears about not fitting in. This shows a small spectrum of the
psychological issues and damages on males. Paul Theroux also goes on to speak about the causes
of the psychological problems males face in Being a Man, he claims that, how can one think about
men without considering the terrible ambition of manliness?... It is a hideous and crippling lie, it
not only insists on difference and connvies out superiority, it is also by its nature
destructiveв”Ѓemotionally damaging and socially harmful. Theroux is trying to say that
masculinity allows superiority and difference between men and women which causes damage
between both gender and socially harm them. The act of making men and women seperate has
caused a

Tax Payer Laws And Criminal Laws
There are a lot of disorders that arose in the country we live in today and it s all because of our
corrupt system. These laws are tax payer laws and criminal laws in general. In the United States
of America, some citizens can argue that our government is fair enough when it comes to the
rate of our taxes and how the government utilizes the money that we re basically required to pay
to them. On the other hand, however, some individuals can argue that the government spends
their tax dollars on things that our nation doesn t really needs. Being citizens of this country, we
sometimes don t get an input on what the government decides to spend the money on. One
controversial topic that has been in and out of the news for the past few years is the issue of
whether or not our tax dollars should be paying for lawbreakers we have behind bars. Some say
that there are better methods for paying or there could also be less expensive punishments to get
the same job done for less. Today, whether it is federal or state jails in the United States, all jails
are paid for using American tax dollars. Some citizens are in disbelief that our country allows
this and some are furious to the fact that we basically are required to pay for the free meals and
housing for convicted felon that has previously broken the law. Paying for taxes can sometimes be
a tad bit stressful, the date April 15, for example. A lot of normal Americans who complete their
own taxes have that date steam pressed into the

The Four Psychological Theories Of Personality
Personality is one of the concepts that often be used by social scientists.According to Schultz
(2009), Personality can be defined as the unique, relatively enduring internal and external aspects of
a person s character that influence behaviour in different situations . In general, personality theories
can be classified based on four major approaches which are psychoanalytic theory, trait theory, social
learning theory, and humanistic theory (Refer to Figure 1 in Appendix 1). In personality concepts,
Freudian theory was a well known theory and widely been used. Stevens (1994) stated that this
psychoanalytic perspective was originated from Viennese students, Sigmund Freudwho was born in
1856. There are three levels of consciousness: conscious,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

others and participating in performing the desired behaviour. For instance, learning skill also

Aristotle s Theory Of Falling
My thesis is twofold: Aristotle s empirical arguments supporting the view that the earth is a sphere
are not convincing ; however, his hybrid argument combining a priori and empirical claims based
on his theory of falling succeeds in displacing Pre Socratic Cosmology and empirically grounding
the creation cosmology of Plato s Timaeus.
Aristotle inherited a tradition of cosmologies espoused by the Presocratics beginning with Thales,
The Earth floats on water, which is in some way the source of all things (Kirk B13) . The
tradition continues with Anaximenes, The earth is flat and rides on air (B13) and reaches a zenith
with Parmenides, ...there is a furthest limit, it is perfected, like the bulk of a ball well rounded on
every side, equally balanced in every direction from the center (Fr. 8 32 49). These three quotes
identify two themes that Aristotle would face while developing his cosmogony: how does the earth
maintain its place in the universe and what is its shape.
Aristotle also labored under the imposing shadow of his teacher Plato who developed his
cosmology in the Timaeus, ...he should fashion the world as a single whole... And he gave it a
shape appropriate to the kind of thing it was... Hence he gave it a round shape, the form of a sphere
... (Timaeus 33a b). Plato identifies the correct shape of the earth but he does not argue for this
conclusion. Aristotle will have to ground this idea in empirical science not myth.
The first step for Aristotle in On the Heavens is

Analysis Of Roe V. Wade
In modern days when the term abortion came up a lot of people felt quite uncomfortable because it
usually is a lightly touched subject that nobody speaks about. It is known as a forbidden word.
Abortion really means any variety of surgical methods for terminating a pregnancy, especially
during the first six months of the pregnancy. The background to the historical right of abortion
through Roe v. Wade can be examined by using all themes of geography, which is location and
place. The responsibilities of abortion can be understood through analysis with the themes of
movement, Human environment interaction and region. What is the historical background that

The historical right of abortion can be examined through the geographic themes of location and
place; the responsibilities of abortion are determined through the geographic themes of
movement, human environment, interaction, and region. Place is the historical events that led
up to the demand for abortion was Roe V. Wade and the Supreme Court ruling for the women
who can experience negative effects after birth and finally made the decision to legalize
abortion on January 22, 1973. Location is the demand in rights occurred when pregnant single
woman Roe spoke up about her situation and pleaded for the Supreme Court to allow abortion
to be legal because of the stability of her health. Movement is how people reacted in different
ways. People created pro life and pro choice opinions, which described how they felt about the
particular subject of abortion, Pro life believes that abortion should not be allowed under and
circumstances and argue that life begins at conception. Pro choice believes that abortion should be
entirely up to the mother and argue that it should be allowed for women who experienced rape or
incest. Human Environment interaction is how abortion impacted people in a variety of reasons
and mainly on the society. Women who have an abortion are 10% more likely to have mental
health issues and 34.9% more likely to commit suicide. Those

Drug Abuse of Hallucinogens Essay
Commonly known Hallucinogen drugs are LSD, also known as acid or mellow yellow; PCP, also
known as angel dust, tic tac, super grass, or rocket fuel; Psilocybin also known as shrooms or
magic mushrooms; DMT; and Peyote. Hallucinogen drugs alter human perception and mood by
changing the user s sense of reality. Effects of hallucinogenic drugabuse are unpredictable and the
intensity varies on the dose amount. Common effects of abuse include an increase in heart rate and
blood pressure, feelings of detachment from self and surroundings, nausea, vomiting, panic
reactions, delusions, blurred vision, dizziness, and hallucinations (Drug rehabilitation). According

How Did Mughal Decline
Mughal Decline, the debate that won t die among historians. It s one of the major topics of
South Asian History. There are about 500+ books on this subject matter. This subject has been
quite extensively discussed over the past century and why won t it be? There are several
questions that need to be answered. How the empire that ruled over two centuries with
exceptional power and wealth came to decline? How the empire that had brilliant military
strategy and superior artillery of Babur (1483 1530), which stimulated a new level of settled
agriculture, military capability, and geographic integration, can become so weak that it was
controlled by sundry courtiers and later by various rising warlords. How did the invaders like
Nadir Shah of Persia and Ahmed Shah Abdali of Afghanistan, repeatedly sacked Delhi (Mughal
Capital)? How and why the British did take dominance from the Mughal. The answers are
complicated, there s isn t a single answer... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the reason could be as Mughal power began to falter, the East India Company found its
factories, especially in Surat, raided twice by Shivaji, increasingly vulnerable, and so turned to a
policy of armed defense which brought the company into conflict with Mughal authorities. Some
other engenders which gave rise to the Mughal decline are as follows: Athar Ali says that there
was a cultural failure among them, they find it difficult to accept the technology that was emerging
by Britain. Some argue about Aurangzeb s Deccan policy, Aurangzeb s determination to crush the
Marathas was also responsible for the decline of the Empire. By 1691, the Marathas (under the
Peshwas) had become strong enough to rise up in rebellion under Raja Ram and other Maratha
chiefs. They Consolidate heir position in western India, dreaming of a greater Maharashtra Empire.
The economic stability of the empire was ruined because of the constant

Murders In The Rue Morgue By Edgar Allen Poe
The story, The Murders in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allen Poe was a surprisingly fun read for me.
I enjoy murder mysteries and it really held my attention. Everything within this story is thought out
and has a latent meaning, forcing Poe s audience to think deeply throughout his writing. Some parts
intrigued me more than others but as all writing do the plot must have its ups and downs, in my
opinion The Purloined Letter was less captivating, making it much harder to follow.
Within this story Poe focuses on the genre of detective fiction and does so mainly thru the character
C. Auguste Dupin. Mr. Dupin is a very intelligent man who uses his superior and abnormal
observation skills to solve a murder case that even the police can not. The murder ... Show more

He continuously states that the Paris police exhibit inadequate and subpar methods of analyzing
crimes. He blames this on their inability to deal with the severity the crime displayed. In addition,
they are unable to view crimes from a different standpoint other than their own; this inhibits the
Paris police to investigate the crime to the fullest potential. I found this a very unique and
captivating ability of our protagonist, pushing the limits of the mind to think less literally. In The
Murders in the Rue Morgue, the police cannot move past the sickening details of the murder.
They are so flustered by the disfigured and choked victims; they are unable to closely inspect the
crime scene. Specifically the window, this is where the murderer entered and made his escape,
as well as marking on the victims bodies which were all clues to who committed the crime.
Dupin s ability to distance himself from the emotional aspect of the scene s violence allows him
to excel and solve the case. Poe has created a character that can take the most consistent human
trait, emotion, and disconnect from it completely. Dupin views the crime scene as a puzzle,
each piece with its own importance and each edge fitting a certain way for a particular reason.
He places himself as the murderer, which allows him to always be one step ahead much like the
chess, being one step ahead of your opponent. After the reading an instant comparison was made
between Dupin and character from one of my favorite movies. In my eyes I saw Dupin as Poe s
French version of Sherlock Holmes. He is a brilliant, highly talented, and eccentric man with the
ability to withdraw his emotional side just like Sherlock to solve cases more adequately than the
police. Which brings me to the point that being as though this was written in 1841, Edgar Allen Poe

The Three Causes And Effects Of Corruption In Kenya
Kenya is one of the most corrupt countries in the world due to a long legacy of corrupt leaders
according to the recent transparency international standings(145/176). It is so visible, that it is
impossible for a citizen or even a visitor to deny its presence. Corruption is a problem that is
engulfed everywhere around the globe, in some countries more than others and it was not until a
few years ago that the international donor community recognized corruption as one of the main
responsibilities for the failure of development in Africa .Corruption hinders economic
development and gradually slows down the democratic process and stability within a political
system. The money gained out from corruption does not trickle down to the people nor is it used
to make any development, instead is it used for private gain and to fund luxurious living.
Corruption in Africa can be seen as both systemic and generalized, systemic since it is more of a
rule than an exception and generalized since it is not limited to just one sector. There are three
types of corruption that are found in a society, but will only mention two of them. The first type of
corruption is described as grand corruption: which is corruption acts done by the political elite.
They use their powers to gain private themselves, it is known as the worst form of corruption as it s
responsible for destroying communities at large. The second type of corruption is bureaucratic
corruption, also known as petty corruption. In this

people who have high cholesterol such as Ms. T. Also, coronary spasms are known to cause

  • 10. The Central Concern Of The National Curriculum The central concern that this case study seeks to address, is whether or not play should continue to be influential in the acquisition of language with regards to readiness to learn within the National curriculum. This emotive subject was found by the researcher to be ever present when providing for needs of the child with SEN and EAL within year one, finding the restriction to movement and space detrimental to learning. Roberts Holmes (2012) concurs this highlighting the conflict of interests between the EYFS and the National Curriculum where play based learning is very much decreased. In addition Tickell (2011) shares concerns about the disconnect between the EYFS and the National Curriculum recommending a smoother transition between the two. Brock (2009) confirms this by speaking of the need for the transition to be more fluent by teacher through a more play based curriculum. However such planning is found by McInnes et al (2011) to be heavily influenced by the predisposed understanding and perceptions of the individual teacher. Therefore an analysis of such thoughts and perceptions towards play within year one, will also be examined/evaluated throughout the research. The research itself will take place within two schools which have been chosen from within similar socioeconomic disadvantaged areas of Stoke on Trent (DPH Annual report 2011). The researcher, due to work constraints, considered it unfeasible to involve all seventy primary schools within this locality. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Coe attributes his top student s higher grades and low test scores to qualities possessed in a student such as: willingness to work and good attitude which aren t always apparent at test time. He believes that even some of the best students take classes now just to get a grade and not to maximize their learning. The first step in the interactive writing process is to provide active learning experiences. Because students share countless mutual experiences at school, there s a lot to choose from to write about during interactive writing. Reading and responding to a story the teacher has read is another way to share a learning experience. Lastly, allowing students to share personal experiences from their home life and community initiates a writing experience. Whatever way a teacher decides to start a writing experience, it s imperative that students are engaged in the process and that the teacher is pulling from students prior knowledge of an experience they shared together. Establishing the topic comes next in the interactive writing process. The topic for the interactive writing activity comes by way of the students joint common experience. Teachers facilitate a discussion with students around their shared experience as they form sentences they will later put on paper. During this time, the teacher emboldens students to express themselves in ways that implicitly capture their experience. Composing the text, or negotiating, follows establishing the topic in the interactive writing experience. During this step, the teachers and students decide how they will say what they want to write. The wording and phrasing is a coconstructuve effort between the teacher and students. As always, the teacher facilitates a discussion to develop a story or a sentence. Once a collective decision is made, the teacher has the students repeat what they will write numerous times before beginning to write. This is done so the students remember the sentences and can predict the following word when it comes time to write. Writing the text, or constructing, is the fourth step of the interactive writing process. While writing, the teacher and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. How Does Masculinity Affect Women We often see women affected by social norms and negatively represented but it s always good to look at the other side of the spectrum. Masculinity can deeply affect and cause issues in boys and young men. These issues are mainly emotional damages and the definition of what being a man is. On of the ways to fix this would be to better represent masculinityand widen the spectrum of what a manreally is. First of all, the definition of what being a man is a central issue for young males. Paul Theroux talks about always liking being a man in his essay, Being a Man. He points out that, Fiction Вwriting is equated with a kind of dispirited failure and is only manly when it produces wealth money is masculinity. So is drinking. This shows... You don t understand, he said huffily. Boys talk about sports, like their matches and who scored what and stuff or they talk about new version... Tears welled up in her eyes. I don t have anything to talk about. In this quote we can see the emotional damages of expectations in Walkers eleven year old son. He has to pretend to be someone he is not in order to make a conversation with someone. This shows the pressures of masculinity on young males. The constraints of conversations has brought an eleven year old into tears about not fitting in. This shows a small spectrum of the psychological issues and damages on males. Paul Theroux also goes on to speak about the causes of the psychological problems males face in Being a Man, he claims that, how can one think about men without considering the terrible ambition of manliness?... It is a hideous and crippling lie, it not only insists on difference and connvies out superiority, it is also by its nature destructiveв”Ѓemotionally damaging and socially harmful. Theroux is trying to say that masculinity allows superiority and difference between men and women which causes damage between both gender and socially harm them. • 44. Tax Payer Laws And Criminal Laws There are a lot of disorders that arose in the country we live in today and it s all because of our corrupt system. These laws are tax payer laws and criminal laws in general. In the United States of America, some citizens can argue that our government is fair enough when it comes to the rate of our taxes and how the government utilizes the money that we re basically required to pay to them. On the other hand, however, some individuals can argue that the government spends their tax dollars on things that our nation doesn t really needs. Being citizens of this country, we sometimes don t get an input on what the government decides to spend the money on. One controversial topic that has been in and out of the news for the past few years is the issue of whether or not our tax dollars should be paying for lawbreakers we have behind bars. Some say that there are better methods for paying or there could also be less expensive punishments to get the same job done for less. Today, whether it is federal or state jails in the United States, all jails are paid for using American tax dollars. Some citizens are in disbelief that our country allows this and some are furious to the fact that we basically are required to pay for the free meals and housing for convicted felon that has previously broken the law. The Four Psychological Theories Of Personality Personality is one of the concepts that often be used by social scientists.According to Schultz (2009), Personality can be defined as the unique, relatively enduring internal and external aspects of a person s character that influence behaviour in different situations . In general, personality theories can be classified based on four major approaches which are psychoanalytic theory, trait theory, social learning theory, and humanistic theory (Refer to Figure 1 in Appendix 1). • 46. Aristotle s Theory Of Falling My thesis is twofold: Aristotle s empirical arguments supporting the view that the earth is a sphere are not convincing ; however, his hybrid argument combining a priori and empirical claims based on his theory of falling succeeds in displacing Pre Socratic Cosmology and empirically grounding the creation cosmology of Plato s Timaeus. Aristotle inherited a tradition of cosmologies espoused by the Presocratics beginning with Thales, The Earth floats on water, which is in some way the source of all things (Kirk B13) . The tradition continues with Anaximenes, The earth is flat and rides on air (B13) and reaches a zenith with Parmenides, ...there is a furthest limit, it is perfected, like the bulk of a ball well rounded on every side, equally balanced in every direction from the center (Fr. 8 32 49). These three quotes identify two themes that Aristotle would face while developing his cosmogony: how does the earth maintain its place in the universe and what is its shape. Aristotle also labored under the imposing shadow of his teacher Plato who developed his cosmology in the Timaeus, ...he should fashion the world as a single whole... And he gave it a shape appropriate to the kind of thing it was... Hence he gave it a round shape, the form of a sphere ... (Timaeus 33a b). Plato identifies the correct shape of the earth but he does not argue for this conclusion. Aristotle will have to ground this idea in empirical science not myth. This subject has been quite extensively discussed over the past century and why won t it be? There are several questions that need to be answered. How the empire that ruled over two centuries with exceptional power and wealth came to decline? How the empire that had brilliant military strategy and superior artillery of Babur (1483 1530), which stimulated a new level of settled agriculture, military capability, and geographic integration, can become so weak that it was controlled by sundry courtiers and later by various rising warlords. • 50. Murders In The Rue Morgue By Edgar Allen Poe The story, The Murders in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allen Poe was a surprisingly fun read for me. I enjoy murder mysteries and it really held my attention. Everything within this story is thought out and has a latent meaning, forcing Poe s audience to think deeply throughout his writing. Some parts intrigued me more than others but as all writing do the plot must have its ups and downs, in my opinion The Purloined Letter was less captivating, making it much harder to follow. Within this story Poe focuses on the genre of detective fiction and does so mainly thru the character C. Auguste Dupin. Mr. Dupin is a very intelligent man who uses his superior and abnormal observation skills to solve a murder case that even the police can not. The murder ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He continuously states that the Paris police exhibit inadequate and subpar methods of analyzing crimes. He blames this on their inability to deal with the severity the crime displayed. In addition, they are unable to view crimes from a different standpoint other than their own; this inhibits the Paris police to investigate the crime to the fullest potential. I found this a very unique and captivating ability of our protagonist, pushing the limits of the mind to think less literally. In The Murders in the Rue Morgue, the police cannot move past the sickening details of the murder. They are so flustered by the disfigured and choked victims; they are unable to closely inspect the crime scene. Specifically the window, this is where the murderer entered and made his escape, as well as marking on the victims bodies which were all clues to who committed the crime. Dupin s ability to distance himself from the emotional aspect of the scene s violence allows him to excel and solve the case. Poe has created a character that can take the most consistent human trait, emotion, and disconnect from it completely. Dupin views the crime scene as a puzzle, each piece with its own importance and each edge fitting a certain way for a particular reason. He places himself as the murderer, which allows him to always be one step ahead much like the chess, being one step ahead of your opponent. After the reading an instant comparison was made between Dupin and character from one of my favorite movies. In my eyes I saw Dupin as Poe s French version of Sherlock Holmes. He is a brilliant, highly talented, and eccentric man with the ability to withdraw his emotional side just like Sherlock to solve cases more adequately than the police. It is so visible, that it is impossible for a citizen or even a visitor to deny its presence. The money gained out from corruption does not trickle down to the people nor is it used to make any development, instead is it used for private gain and to fund luxurious living. Corruption in Africa can be seen as both systemic and generalized, systemic since it is more of a rule than an exception and generalized since it is not limited to just one sector.
