Persuasive Essay On Bus Safety
The school bus safety in this time has gotten better and worse, but the one thing you don t see in
school buses too often are the seatbelts. I believe that seat belts are needed in buses.
The first patented seat belt was created by American Edward J. Claghorn on February 10, 1885
in order to keep tourists safe in taxis in New York City. This idea slowly became more popular in
the manufacturing of other vehicles. Competing drivers were the first to be required to wear a seat
belt. The real breakthrough with modern seat belts came in 1958 when Swedish engineer Nils
Bohlin was hired by Volvo and he designed the seat belts we know today through a three point seat
belt that better protects the driver and passenger in an accident. The three point design was created
to help secure both the upper and lower body in an accident.
Since 1966, vehicles in America were required to have seat belts in their cars. By 1975, most
first world countries had a seat belt requirement in their cars. Once the three point seat belt
became more common in cars, laws soon followed afterwards. By 1970, the world s first seat
belt law was created in Victoria, Australia, which required passengers to wear their seat belts at all
times. In the U.S., seat belt laws came around the time of the creation of The National Traffic and
Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966.
From 2006 to 2015, there were nationally 301 school aged children who died in school
transportation related crashes: 54 were killed by school

School Life in the 1950 s
School Life in the 1950 s School Life in the 1950 s was harder than today because the facilities
were few and inadequate. Teachers were stricter and corporal punishment was still in use. They
had fewer subjects and wealth, discrimination, sexism and racism meant they could only do
certain subjects. After World War 2 there was a baby boom and as a result in the 1950 s schools
were quickly filling up as the children enrolled. The enrolments increased as much as 30% over
the baby boomers decade. In the year 1950 there were 166 437 existing elementary and secondary
schools in the USA to educate over 29 million students. As the amount of students increased, the
schools and resources declined. It was reported by the Office of Education in 1953... Show more

There was no appeal against that system of punishment and many parents believed the teacher
was acting in the child s best interests. Other methods of punishment were intimidation, strapping,
removal from class, loss of privilege, writing lines and verbal put downs were all regularly used.
As stated before, the class numbers were increasing so teachers had to teach more students,
meaning discipline was becoming more stringent as the teacher tried to keep the class in control.
The 1950 s was the time of the cold war and there was a great tear of nuclear war. In certain areas
of America the fallout tests were being brought in where the students were required to go through
a fake atomic bomb attack and they would find refuge under their desks (little did they know this
wouldn t protect them from radiation!). It was more for the teacher and parent s piece of mind.
Teachers of 1950 were sterner and more

Dr Cohan Body Image Summary
The video that Dr. Cohan shared was really insightful and very informative.Eating disorders and
bodty image has been an issue in our society for a very long time. A lot of points were made by
Dr. Cohan to help her audience understand obesity and body image in relation to the sociology
view of things. For most of us, our body is very private. It s something that we cherish and
respect and take care of. It is our home and our responsibility is to take care for it. But like Dr.
Cohan pointed out, as private as our body is to us it is actually a public issue that relates to
social structure. She states that the body is socially and culturally constructed. I can agree with
this statement. Society and different cultural aspects definitely influence and determine the
decisions we make in regards to our body and body image. I found it interesting in knowing the
different ways a body could be viewed, in terms of how it can be percieved, valued, and treated.
The way Milian King suggested that the body becomes a sight for asserting, imposing,
performing, challenging, and destabilizing categories of gender, race ethnicity, and sexuality. On
a day to day basis, one doesn t think of all the ways the image of a body is broken down, but when
it is brought to light in this way, it is true. I agree with Dr. Cohan on... Show more content on

people deal with she tried and deal with it on her own and even worse, conceal it.(primary

psychiatrist at the ward and meeting the patient. I feel secondary deviance came when she saw
herself in the patient she was treating because she had to experience those feelings

Brady Vs Manning Analysis

Sunday 3:00 EST
Brady V. Manning XVII. We were robbed of this matchup back in November, but now, possibly
for the final time, we get a Tom Brady led team verse a Peyton Manning led team.
It doesn t matter that Peyton Manning is playing the worst football of his career; the narrative of
this game is Brady V. Manning. Without question, Tom Bradyis the better quarterback in this
matchup. He s playing at an MVP caliber level carrying his less talented team to the AFC
championship while Manning, is asked to platy well enough to not lose the game. He relies on his
championship caliber defense. Ironically, this is probably the most talented team Peyton Manning
as been apart of yet, I would be shocked

Analysis Of Mark Becker s The Night
Killing the victims just doesn t seem right, said the man on the screen, his voice full of a deep
sadness. That s what you signed up for, Chloe exclaimed, frustration evident, We are assassins.
That s what we do. Archer sighed. You re right, of course Shadow. Alright. Your next mission is
a man named Mark Becker. One of our bigger clients needs this done as soon as possible. All the
information you need should be in the briefing file. Good luck Red Shadow. The hologram
closed and Chloe turned, smiled, and confidently walked out of the room. Cut, the director said,
smooth voice washing over Chloe. Chloe swelled with satisfaction. She was a brilliant actress
and this new movie would only improve her talents. Before that could happen, however, she
needed to relax and get away from the adventure of her new life. Chloe teleported back to her
closet and changed into a pair of sweatpants and a red T shirt. She still had four hours left before
diner and so she decided to go to the library and read. Even though she had been to the library
before, it still took her breath away. Picking a book at random, she settled down into one of the
plush chairs before the fire and started to read a classic fairy tale. Girl meets prince, girl is swept
off of feet, they get married, so on. Same old story, but somehow fresh in this version. Chloe
decided to have pizza and hot chocolate delivered to the library and she carefully ate, taking extra
precautions to not drop grease onto

Innovation of Hydrothermal Synthesis from the Past and...
INNOVATION OF HYDROTHERMAL SYNTHESIS FRON THE PAST PRESENT Traditional
Hydrothermal Synthesis since the end of the 19th century, hydrothermal synthesis of inorganic
materials has been carried out. It is defined as the precipitation of these materials from aqueous
solutions at temperatures above the boiling point and at pressures greater than ambient pressure.
This method is actually environmentally because it does not require any organics or additional
processing such as calcinations. That is the reason why it has been widely used for synthesis of
a wide range of materials especially metal oxides such as hematite and quartz. Hydrothermal
synthesis of quartz was demonstrated several decades ago and now currently used
commercially. The traditional hydrothermal synthesis method is carried out in an autoclave type
reactor where an aqueous solution is heated slowly to a certain temperature and then aged for
several hours or days. In the case of the formation of metal oxides, hydrothermal synthesis
method is generally involve two reactions which are hydrolysis of the meal salts followed by
dehydration. M(NO ) x + xH O = M(OH) x + xHNO (Hydrolysis) H O x M OH x MOx / 2 2 2 ( )
= + (Dehydration) This method is normally at around 373 473 K. During the heat up period, the
above reactions take place to produce nuclei and eventually crystals. During hydrothermal reactions
resulting in materials with the desired microstructure and properties, the homogeneous nucleation

He strangled and suffocated him and sat down in a chair to watch him die. Last but not least it
was Josie s turn. His first attempt of strangling her failed, so he forced her to walk downstairs in
the basement. There he put a noose around her neck and hanged her from a pipe, leaving her
partially undressed. He masturbated on her bare legs, leaving semen behind. After cleaning up
the house a little bit he took the family s car and drove it to a nearby supermarket. What Rader
didn t know is that the Oteros had three older children, who had already left the house that
morning. Charlie, Daniel and Carmen were the ones that found their parents dead that afternoon.
Rader s next victim was Kathryn Bright. He broke into her home and hid in the bedroom
waiting for her to return home. Again something went wrong for Rader, and Bright returned
home, accompanied by her younger brother Kevin. He surprised them and using his gun he
forced Kevin to tie up his sister. Then he took Kevin in another room, trying to tie him up with
material found in the home. Kevin got loose and Rader shot him twice in the head. Thinking
Kevin was dead, Rader went on to work on Kathryn. She resisted heavily and instead of strangling
her, he ended up stabbing her multiple times. During that time Kevin, who wasn t dead, fled the
house and called for help. Rader was forced to leave the scene quickly, ran to his car, and drove off.

Large quantities of work in process are often characteristic of this type of production system. This
may lead to longer throughput time, poor quality concealed by bundles, large inventory, extra
handling, and difficulty in controlling inventory Unit production system A unit production system
(UPS) is a type of line layout that uses an overhead transporter system to move garment
components from work station to work station for Assembly [pic] Work flow of unit production
All the parts for a single garment are advanced through the production line together by means of a
hanging carrier that travels along an overhead conveyor. The overhead rail system consists of the
main conveyor and accumulating rails for each work station. The overhead conveyor operates
much like a railroad track. Carriers are moved along the main conveyor and switched to an
accumulating rail at the work station where an operation is to be performed. At the completion of
an operation the operator presses a button, and the carrier moves on to the next operation. Most unit
production systems are linked to a computer control center that routes and tracks production and
provides up to the minute data for management decisions. The automatic control of work flow sorts

Compare And Contrast Princess Bride And Shrek
Often expressing love can be challenging. At times, different forms of love can be misunderstanding
such as mistaking lust for love. The book, The Princess Bride, written by William Goldman, and the
movie Shrek directed by Andrew Adamson, both portray individuals facing tough situations that
can only overcome through the power of love. Specifically, in both contexts, this is proven through
the characters, Westley and Shrek, and Princess Buttercup and Princess Fiona. Westley and Shrek
share similar characteristics. Both characters are rejected by society because they appear to be
unappealing and uneducated due to their low class status. In the book, Westley is originally known

However once Princess Buttercup admits her feelings toward Westley in the beginning of the
book when she says, I love you. I know this must come as something of a surprise to you, since
all I ve ever done is scorn you and degrade you and taunt you, but I have loved you for several
hours now, and every second, more (Goldman,1987) Her true feelings for Westley are indicated
through this quote as she admits that even though she humiliates him, she is growing feelings
for him. However, Prince Humperdinck sees this as a rising conflict for his chance to marry
Princess Buttercup and evicts Westley leaving him close to death. Once Westley makes a

Princess Fiona also found what true love meant. As she waited to be rescued by a handsome
prince, she did not imagine her ideal rescuer to look like Shrek. However, she sees him as a warrior

The Difference between Terrorism and Domestic Terrorism Essay
The terms terrorism and domestic terrorism are very similar concepts. There are, however, slight
differences in each. Entities that are apart of the Government have slightly different ways of
explaining what they believe to be the correct definition of terrorism and domestic terrorism. In this
paper the author will offer definitions of the two terms and state which one they agree with the
most. The author will also state how the two terms are best differentiated.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines terrorism on the basis of three characteristics. In
order for an act to be considered terrorism, it needs to be (1) a violent act, or acts dangerous to
human life that violates laws; (2) appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or ... Show more content on

They elucidate that terrorism is a premeditated, politically motivated, violence perpetrated against
noncombatant targets by subnational groups of clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an
audience, (National Institute of Justice).
All of the definitions that the author has presented tend to share a common theme. In each of the
previous definitions, the use of force that is intended to coerce or sway a course of action that
furthers a social, or political goal. In most cases, the FBI definition is the one most widely used
and accepted by law enforcement entities (National Institute of Justice). The author seconds that the
FBI definition is the one that she agrees with the most. The FBI definition seems like the only one
that doesn t leave anything out. It is the most descriptive, and unlike the American Heritage
definition, it broadens the scope of terrorists from being a certain type of group to the possibility of
it being just one man or woman.
The FBI also gives a definition of domestic terrorism that is very similar to its definition of
terrorism, but has a minor difference. Like terrorism, there are three characteristics that need to be
met in order to define an act as domestic terrorism. The first characteristic is that it needs to
involve acts that are dangerous to human life that violate federal or state laws. The second
characteristic is it needs to appear intended to (i) intimidate or coerce civilian population; (ii)

Similarities Between Father And Child Relationships
Although each family differs from others, what every family has in common is the existence of
relationships. Within families, we may find several kinds of relationships such as marital
relationships, siblings relationships, mother and child relationships or father and child
relationships. The expectations are that every child will be nurtured, respected, and that he grows
up to have respect for others and develops strong and healthy relationships, but life at home may be
hard sometimes. Families where anger, mistrust or envy are constantly present reflect troubled

Right at the beginning of Piddler on the Roof , we are introduced with Weesle and his father s
routines and traditions. We get to know that they spend a lot of time together, they share their
time talking and demonstrating their love to each other. The daily conversations they have
during meal time are evidence of the strengthen bonds they have formed. In fact, when Weesle
has to spend a weekend at his aunt s house we can see that he really wanted to be with his family:
By the time night came I just couldn t take any more. I looked out of my little attic window on

I wanted my own messy room . We can see that Weesle needed his family s support, his father s

so as to be with his parents clearly show that Weesle had a strong and close relationship with his
father. Ned, from Round the Bend , had also a close relationship with his father. While reading the

Capital Punishment in Canada Essay
Capital Punishment in Canada
As violence becomes an increasing concern among Canadians, people are calling for the
reinstatement of capital punishment. This controversial issue has been ailing politicians and public
morality since its abolition in 1976. As one examines the arguments for and against the
reinstatement of capital punishment; examples of modern day cases dealing with capital
punishment; and statistics on such cases, one can better appreciate the reasons why this barbaric
form of punishment should remain in the past.
Unfortunately, like most Americans, many Canadians believe in the barbaric an eye for an eye rule

I didn t tie anybody to a stretcher. I didn t pump poison into anybody s veins from behind a

(Infamous last words)
This statement, and others like it, has raised morality questions which haunt politicians and citizens
alike. When the state takes away one s life, how is this action more moral than the original crime?
The government represents its people. When the government condones such morbid actions to be
taken place legally, what message does this send out to its people? The answers to these questions
can be seen in the statistics offered by the Bureau of Justice Statistics. This report offers the
following facts:
At the end of 1998, the US held 3,452 prisoners on death row, which is a 4% increase from 1997.
On December 31, 1998, the youngest death row inmate was 18 years old and the eldest was 83.
The average age was 38 years old.
As of the end of 1998, the execution of prisoners 16 years old or younger was permissible in a
dozen states. Eight of which did not specify a minimum age for which the death penalty could be
imposed.
34 of the 38 capital punishment states use lethal injection. Electrocution is the sole execution
method in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Nebraska.
Delaware, New Hampshire and the state of Washington permit hanging as a method of execution.
Idaho, Oklahoma, and Utah authorize firing squads.

Pat could be diagnosed with Bipolar I disorder (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). It is hard
to tell whether Pat is going through hypomania or mania episodes throughout the movie, because it
does not say their duration, and it s hard to tell if the movie is a day to day storyline, or skipping
multiple days/weeks at a time. However, it is definitely some form of a manic episode a few
times throughout the movie. Pat displays multiple periods of irritable moods that consist of goal
directed behaviour and energy (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Pat displays his
irritable moods throughout the movie, for example, in the scene where he is searching for his
wedding video and becomes agitated quite fast once he realizes he cannot find it. His goal
directed behaviour during his episodes is very specific, for example finding his wedding video, it
is the middle of the night and he is searching the house frantically for it, Pat even wakes up his
parents to help him search their room, study and the attic.
I believe Pat has a more irritable manic disorder, therefore he needs to have four symptoms
showing a noticeable change in his behaviour (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). First of all
Pat displays grandiosity in one scene, when he is fighting at a diner with Tiffany, a friend,

Inferno is a poem (literature) that suggests the descriptions via language. However, propaganda by
North Korea is a visual artwork that depicts via images. This difference brings a huge difference in
perceiving information from the artwork. However, considering that the Inferno had an extensive
use of all senses in descriptions, Inferno can be considered as the part of showing instead of telling.
According to the Introduction to the Inferno, due to his meticulous depictions of the senses and
emotions, Archibald T. MacAllister described that the Inferno is really a three dimensional art .

The fear brought from Inferno inherits itself within the individual and religion. The fear of hell
is solely dependent upon oneself or religion. For instance, throughout the Inferno, Dante is
trying to understand what he had done in his life. He tries to reach the salvation as he takes a
look at the hell. The fear of death and beyond death is solely dependent to the person who
committed the sins. The religion clearly explains the procedure by describing the eternal
suffering in the blazes. Therefore, if the person tries hard enough to overcome the fear of death,
it is possible to overcome the fear of the margin, Unlike the fear of hell which was originally
within the individual and religion, the fear brought from the propaganda is based on the other
individual and politics. The system does not allow people to overcome the fear from the
propaganda. Instead, people reinforce the fear in order to utilize the negative emotion to make
people obedient. Therefore, the fear is mostly dependent on the other people and the

Social Conflict In Shantata ! The Court Is In Session
Shantata! Court Chalu Ahe (Silence! The Court is in Session, 1967) was his first play in which
he marked out as a rebel against the established values of the society. This play combines social
criticism with the tragedy of an individual victimized by society. The play represents the mental
conflict of the protagonist, Miss Leela Benare who appears during the mock trial as an accused.
The plot of the play revolves round the trial of Miss Benare. Her role eclipses the roles of her male
counterparts. In love, she is cheated twice; first by her maternal uncle and later by Prof. Damle, her
loving companion. However, in the first event, the guilt passes unnoticed and hence, unpunished.

Summary Of The Undercover Parent
In The Undercover Parent Harlan Coben thinks that parents should use spyware to keep tabs on
what their kids do on the internet. According to Coben, there are two reasons to put spyware on
your child s computer. One, parents need to protect their kids from cyberbullying and secondly,
everyone already can see what your children do on the internet. Coben also says that children will
find other ways to avoid the spyware such as using cellphones; but, Coben says, cell phones are
better than computers. Coben deems that parents should tell their kids that they have installed a
spyware in the computer. Coben makes some great arguments, but I do not agree with him. Cyber
bullyinghas become a great obstacle in today s world. Coben suggests

The Problem With Abstinence Only Long before the development of iconic male dominated

At the start of this scene, as James is heading toward the graves it is mainly close up shots of
James, and then it begins to include shots of James family as well. These shots indicate that his
family are supporting him and the shots of him show that he is the main subject. As James and his
family are walking along the path towards the graves a very patriotic orchestral music is being
played, the rhythm is based on their footsteps,
every step James takes there is a beat of a drum. As they enter the grave yard the camera rises up
above the grave stones and shows the vast number of graves. The camera then moves to the
graveyard and whilst this is happening the music is still the same orchestral music but the beat
of the drum is heavier. As the camera moves over the grave stone American flag, this shows how
patriotic this event is. The effect of this is it hits you as to how many people have died
pointlessly and a feeling of empathy for James because of the loss of his friends. Then James
Ryan falls to his knees in front of one gravestone and he begins to cry. This is a close up shot of
him then the transition begins. The camera falls into James eyes and then you can hear the ocean,

The View Of The Afterlife Essay
Classical World Influences
Introduction
The aim of my report is to explain how the view of the afterlife in Ancient Greece has shaped works
of art, books and the mentality of people. In order to do this I am going to explore how ancient
Greek people saw the underworld as well as Roman people and the Renaissance period. Because
Greeks saw the underworld as a dark, dreadful and gloomy place, many of the works that refer to
it, either in Roman times or the Renaissance, are influenced by this view. In particular works like
the Odyssey by Homer or The Phaedo by Plato, explained to a certain level the structure of the
afterlife in ancient Greece. These two pieces of literature severely influenced works like the
book VI of the Aeneid by Virgil where he depicts the underworld referencing to the Greek point
of view. But a deeper description of the underworld is given by Dante in his Divine Comedy
where he uses Virgil as his guide, from the depths of hellto the Purgatory while Beatrice, Dante s
ideal woman, guides him through heaven. All these time periods shared the idea of the underworld
as being a place where souls pay the sins they committed during their lives.
Afterlife in Ancient Greece
The afterlife in ancient Greece was Known as Hades. It was a grey world ruled by Hades, the
Lord of the Dead. If they had a virtuous life they could enjoy the sunny pleasures of the Elysium
or paradise, if they had a wicked life, then they fell into the dark pits of Tartarus, while if they

Business Impact Analysis of Russell Landing Marina Essay
Business impact analysis is the process of systematically addressing all of the risks associated with
a solution and identifying if it actually worked. Many formulas exist, designed to show what factors
are included when compiling an analysis. The simple formula of multiplying threats by your asset
and dividing that total by mitigating factors represents an impact analysis. Threats are those
instances that cause an operational or financial strain on your organization. These occurrences are
the cause of limited operations during business hours or no operations at all and computed in time.
Assets are defined as many elements, but are primarily composed of physical assets (equipment,
material, supplies, furnishings, etc.) that are owned by... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Damoense, M. Y., Agbola). The threat in this situation is the person hours potentially lost based on
having too many employees and not enough work. The inverse is also important as you could have
a small number of employees with a lot of business and then customer satisfaction suffers, driving
profits down. All the equipment owned as well as the facility are considered assets in this situation.
Potential revenue is also included in this figure. Without changing anything, there would be no
mitigating factors so an analysis would concur that nothing obviously changed.
Active Impact on Future Operations As noted previously, the threats and assets do not change.
There is the same latent problem of losing person hours based on not appropriating for business that
day. This causes lost revenue either paid to the employee or not paid by the potential customer. The
difference between the idle impact and active impact is that the mitigating factor changes the
analysis figures. The solution would be to be able to track usage of the facility and correlate that
to semi public deployment schedules. Knowing how much of the base is gone at any given point
in time can help with the expected number of customers per day. This is linked to a percentage in
terms of customers and total available customers (active duty military and their family living on
base). This mitigating factor will dramatically reduce the costs associated

Researching deeper into the definition, the more specific term adaptive technology means any
item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf,
modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of
individuals with a disability (Braswell, 2001,p1). Assistive technology has been making it
possible for children with disabilities to do more for themselves and become less dependent on
others. For example, a child who cannot use her hands can operate a computer with a switch and
an on screen keyboard. A child with speech problems can communicate using a portable electronic
device that speaks . These are just a few of the examples of the wide variety of adaptive equipment
that is available today.
Fortunately for the disabled students of the new millennium, adaptive technology has greatly
improved. Technological developments have been emerging since the early 1900 s, but looking
back on the past twenty years, adaptive technology has come a long way. In 1988, Retail point
of sale devices began to use picture based keyboards. This technology was originally developed
in the mid 1960 s to enable people to speak using a keyboard, computer, and speech synthesizer

James Bond s 1964 Aston Martin DB5. It is the classic car best known for representation in
movies and is recognizable across the world of vehicle enthusiasts. It has left its mark on history.
The same can be said for the Mercedes 1957 300SL Gullwing, a production car that was one of the
fastest and most eye catching vehicles of its time. Indeed, these types of classic cars are from a
bygone era.
Today, they are auctioned off for millions of dollars and stand as a heritage of a different period.
However, they are not alone in this mission. There are hundreds if not thousands of cars that can
be considered classic, with many being far less cumbersome on a bank account to own. In fact,
ones like Austin s 1961 Mini Cooper S, for instance, are miniaturized versions of some of their
bigger brothers. The Mini has served as an ever growing symbol of the classic car era, with over
5,000,000 international sales of its iterated versions.
Whether you are interested in the loud V12s and beautiful aesthetics, or the more compact and
purposeful classic cars, the bottom line is that by investing in a classic car, you are investing in a
slice of history and in a slice of art. While today there has become a culture of upgrading and
tuning more widely available and cheap production cars, there is still that pure hearted, nostalgic
interest in the art of old. Yet, the goal amongst these two different groups is the same: they are there

Advantages And Disadvantages Of A Four Wheel Steering System
2.1 Vehicle Dynamic Expressions
2.1.1 Ackerman Steering Mechanism
Ackerman system was developed by a German Engineer named Lankensperger in 1817. Rudolf

the inner wheel turns more than the outer wheel to effectively steer the vehicle without any slip.
With perfect Ackermann steering, at any angle of steering, the center point of all the circles traced
by all four wheels should be a common point. Modern cars do not use complete Ackermann steering

sideways from rear lead to its failure. Four wheel steering on the other hand is still under
development. From 1987 when Honda developed first four wheel steering, it was accepted and
widely used but due to skeptical tendency and behavior of customers it was not widely accepted,
despite of being a great steering system. From 2010, BMW, Porsche and Honda are developing this
steering system purely for getting better handling with the premium cars they offer, this has yet
again reinvented interest in four wheel steering in automobile makers.

How Did The Middle East Affect A Global Economy
Global Economic Impacts of Middle Eastern Conflict
Throughout history the Middle East has been home to some of the most powerful and influential
empires in the world. As with all great empires they did not arise without difficulty. Though the
Middle East has had periods of great prosperity, it has also had periods of poverty and stagnation.
Within the last one hundred years the Middle East has seen many changes relating to borders,
religions, and international politics. Much of the changes that have happened originated from
diverse ways of thinking especially when it comes to religion and culture. Conflicts that occur in the
Middle East such as Israel, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan have monumental effects on
the global economy predominately due to the massive oil industry in the region and competition

Female Sex Offenders Double Standard
Female Sex Offenders:
To Be Or Not To Be A Double Standard?
Society deems female sex offenders as less threating and less violent than others nevertheless, is
there truly a double standard? The harsh reality of female sex offenders brings about a controversial
debate both about the aggressor and the victim. Many argue that the victim encourages the
behavior, that they are somewhat lesser of a victim. On the other hand, some excuse away the
female s actions by using their past as a reason to offend. Before addressing the double standard
society needs to understand why females are viewed as less dangerous, the negative impacts that
are placed on their victims, and why male victims are often viewed as responsible for the rape.

Number of Offenders

Other conflicts that led up to the Holocaust were those between the German and Jewish people.

holds his bleeding son, run over by a car full of careless Jews. This plays on both the charge that
Jews were rich and Germans poor, and that Jews care not at all for the harm they were doing to
Germany. (Calvin, 9) This political cartoon enraged the Germans how they seemed weaker than
the Jews. They wanted to feel greater than them. Not all Jewish people were Rich and/or careless.

Analysis Of Oedipus The King
Oedipus Cursing His Son, Polynices is a great work of art created by Henry Fuseli, in 1786. This
painting was created in Fuseli s homeland, Zurich, Switzerland. This painting has a powerful and
dramatic purpose to it, and is very interesting to look at.
The media of this painting is oil on canvas, and the paint is used loosely. The loose brushy style of
the paint gives off the style of impressionism that brings the painting together. There is great
historical and cultural context on this painting that refers to Greek mythology. Henry Fuseli s
dramatic painting depicts an ancient Greek tragedy, King Oedipus discovered a horror that he
murdered his father and married his mother. Oedipus blinded himself in contrition; Upset at his
sons, Oedipus forced them to die in battle by each other s hand. He extends his arms to curse them,
while Polynices draws back in shame and what is implied as pain from the curse.
As for background information on the artist himself, Fuseli was encouraged by Reynolds in 1768
to become a painter. Fuseli traveled to Italy in 1770 to seek inspiration. Sculpture, Michelangelo,
and mannerist art inspired him. Fuseli initiated his reputation when he returned to London in
1780. He dedicated most of his time and effort into paintings of Shakespearean themes, and
became the leading mind of a group of inventive and experimental young artists. He was later
elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Arts in 1788, a full Academician in 1790, and

Persepolis House Essay
Ancient Near East has always been one of the major themes studied within Western Art. Many
impressive constructions characterize this culture: temples, gates, palaces and sculptures pieces.
Architecture and the development of large cities, such as Persepolis Palace, is a widely interesting
matter. This type of design provides the essential information on who build it, why it was build, for
whom and what it signifies to the people; it offers information of the communities thoughts, beliefs
and form of living. It was around 520 BCE when Darius I began the construction of the ambitious
PersepolisPalace, covering a 125.000 square meter. The construction of this, located in the Plateau
of the Zagros lands or Fars Providence, Iran, made the workers acknowledge many international
styles. To the people, it was a constant reminder of an entrance of all people. While grey limestone
was the main material used, other supplies found around the whole empire also helped with the
construction: cedar coming from Lebanon, yaka wood coming from Gandhara and Carmania and
bricks coming from Babylon. With great material used, the structure came to include courts, halls,
and columns. The Persepolis Palace, constructed by the great Darius I, expresses an internationalist
style that establishes the respectable knowledge of a powerful leader who depicted hospitality and
the centralization of the nation s government within the palace. By also tracing a historical and
cultural background of the

How Did Abraham Lincoln s Influence On Religion
Introduction
Abraham Lincoln has been remembered, both in his own lifetime and thereafter, by the nickname,
Honest Abe. His characteristic trustworthiness, nevertheless, has not necessarily permitted
historians to easily interpret all aspects of his personal life and political career. One such topic that
has been somewhat shrouded in mystery is Abraham Lincoln s religious views. The prolific
American theologian, Reinhold Neibuhr once referred to Lincoln as unquestionably our most
religious president, who was superior in depth and purity to those, not only of the political leaders
of the day, but of the religious leaders of the era. [i] On the other hand, a contemporary of Lincoln,
William Herndon, attempted to combat the idea that Abraham Lincoln changed his views about
believing in a personal God by dismissing the existence of any evidence for such a claim.[ii]
However, Wayne C. Temple s more recent tome, Abraham Lincoln: From Skeptic to Prophet, has
compiled scores of evidence to outline the religious views of Abraham, which were by no means
static throughout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lincoln had moved away from the naturalistic Doctrine of Necessity for several years, and at the
beginning of his presidency his view of providence might be best understood by the phrase, divine
assistance. In other words, God was available to intervene in the affairs of mankind, contrasting
with the impersonal Doctrine of Necessity, but the relationship between Creator and created was
not quite Calvinistic in the sense that the world is to be seen as God s glorious theatre where God s
will surpasses man s plans.[xxvi] Nicholas Parillo substantiates this claim by stating, Literary
analysis reveals that, even though Lincoln always subscribed to the same technical definition of
providence, the role that this concept played in his rhetoric underwent a gradual but dramatic
change during his presidency. [xxvii] Lincoln, in his acceptance letter for the Republican
presidential nomination,

Medical Health Care Access
Having a medical health care access, in my opinion, is everybody s right. In other words, it is a
privilege that people should posse because oftentimes health care systems are not always
accessible and affordable; However, it should be. Personally, I believe that health is something
that each one of us has to work for it in order to achieve it, and perhaps it is what we call it
individual job . Moreover, I believe in fate and sometimes how sever it can be, but I do believe
that people should protect and keep themselves under control by taking care of their body not only
physiologically but also mentally.
As for illness itself, my health provider has partial impact on me making the right decisions when it
comes to my health and well being.

Applying the Concept of Bipower to China s One Child Policy
Michel Foucault was a French philosopher and one of the most influential social theorists of the
second half of the twentieth century. He was born on the 15th of October 1936 and passed away
on the 25th June 1984. His theories addressed the relationship between power and knowledge, and
how they are used as a form of social control. His analysis breaks the concept of power apart, and
his theory explains differences in various modes of power. In his study the History of Sexuality, he
explores in the firth volume called Right of Death and Power over Life the triangle of power: (I)
sovereign power; (II) disciplinary power; and (III) biopower. In this essay I will describe the
relationship between each power and apply the concept of biopower to China s one child Policy.
First what is Biopower? Well according to Foucault, biopower is a technology of power, which
is a way of managing and controlling entire populations. Biopower led to the emergence of the
modern nation state and capitalism. Foucault describes it as an explosion of numerous and
diverse techniques for achieving the subjugations of bodies and the control of populations
(Foucault 140). The primary and most important goal of biopower is life. The government goal is
to secure and improve people s lives. Power is exercised exclusively over life, and is exercised
either to foster life or to disallow it. Biopower according to Foucault is a power that exerts a
positive influence on life, that endeavours to

The Wars of Religion Essay
Politics and religion in the world of today aren t subjects that generally go hand in hand in our
own society. This was not always the case however; in Europe the two were synonymous up until
relatively recently, (recently meant in the loosest sense of the word,) and are still closely tied in
foreign parts of the world, the most obvious example being the Middle East. The duos intimate
relationship was exemplified during the late sixteenth century, extending into the seventeenth
century, during a series of wars which would later on come to be called the wars of religion. But
is this title completely appropriate? For wars claiming to be centered on religion, they seem to
carry an awfully heavy load of political baggage. In fact, one... Show more content on

She simply made alliances with the less threatening of the enemies (the Huguenots, and the Guises)
whenever it suited her, disregarding her Catholic religion at times to escape a heavily Guise
influenced monarchy, as well as risking the aforementioned when the protestants seemed to be
gaining major influence. These alliances were purely political, and were angled towards getting rid
of the largest threat of the moment. Originally, honoring her alliances with the Huguenots,
Catherine enacted the Edict of January which allowed the Huguenots to worship in private outside
of towns. This; however, was quickly disregarded when the Duke of Guise slaughtered a
congregation of worshiping Calvinists in a permitted area. This was brick that broke the camel s
back, marking the official start of the French War of Religion. Subsequently, the bloodiest and most
violent of conflicts followed as well as the assassination of the duke of Guise, paving the way for the
Peace of Saint Germain en Laye and ending the brutal fighting. Following these events, the
Huguenots began to steadily gain influence, entertaining the notice of Catherine. Unhappy about
the situation, Catherine set to convincing her son, Charles, that the Huguenots were planning a

The difference is in how we relate to our sin and how we deal with it. Those in a covenant
relationship with God are those who walk in the ways of God. In the
Old Testament, one of the ways of such a walk, because of God s mercy, was to make animal
sacrifice for sin. In the New Testament, confessing one s sin to God is a part of walking in the
covenant ways of God (1 John 1:9). So then, when the believer sins it is not because he has turned
aside from God and is no longer walking in the way of God, backslidden in heart and filled with his
own ways, but rather because of the weakness of his flesh he may fall into sin. Yet he abhors his
sin, confesses it, and seeks to forsake it. If we define backsliding as individual acts of sin in the
believer s life we would rightly say that a believer, not only can, but will backslide. If

Prov. 14:14 says, The backslidden in heart is filled with his own ways. The word here in the

James K. Polk s Achievements
Throughout the course of American history, many influential figures have greatly impacted
America. Their contributions to society has changed America for the better or worse, and also
impact our views on society today. These people may include famous inventors, scientists, or even
our previous presidents. An example of an influential figure who has made numerous
accomplishments that benefitted America is the former president, James K. Polk. Polk lived from
the year 1795 to 1849, and was the eleventh President of the United States, who served for one
term. Before becoming the president, Polk was known in politics as the governor of Tennessee.
Polk served under the pupilage of Andrew Jackson, and was later known as the Young Hickory .

The point of the protective tariffs was that the Northern states would manufacture their own
products to avoid benefitting foreign countries. This was a disadvantage for the South as they
had no benefits from it. Polk had appointed his Secretary of the Treasure, Robert J. Walker, to
lower the tariff rates of products to a standard rate, this was known as the Walker Tariff. It
lowered the taxes on items that were a necessity, and increased for luxury items. The political
effects of the Walker Tariff was political conflict between the North and the South. The North was
against such a law because it provided less profit from the South. The South benefitted in a way
that they did not have to pay too much on exports of foreign countries. This benefitted the United
States economically because it encouraged the South to trade and export their extra crops to
countries abroad. As a result, relations among America and Britain had improved because the
Walker Tariff encouraged free trade between them. It also allowed Britain to import the grains

Change In Malcolm Gladwell s The Tipping Point

Malcolm Gladwell s The Tipping Point is radical because he talks about how the environment can
change people behavior. The environment could have caused people to change for better or worst.
For example: When people were placed in an environment of filth they are more violent and hectic
causing the crime rate to increase. When you come from a bad neighborhood you are statistically
more likely to be dangerous and belligerent. If you were to place people into a different
environment, you can expect change (not saying it always work). Throughout the story Malcolm
gives many examples of change. He starts off by talking about four young men who were on a
New York train. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The change came from simply fixing the trains, not from wanting to change but from cleaning up
the environment. Showing that they are more than what they see. Clean makes you feel better
about yourself as for dirty makes you feel scum like. So why not act how you feel? It is events
like what I stated above that helped the people to see that change can be just as simple as cleaning
the train. Being in an environment filled with filth, stench, and nothingness in the air, can lead you
to doing bad things. In the story four men were acting like they had something and when
approached a man were then shot. If you dig deeper, you truly find out the four young men didn t
have an easy life. They came from a horrible place. Somewhere less fortunate than they needed to
be. That key setting caused them to react and see things more angrily and act out as such.
Malcolm Gladwell writes:
The encounter between Bernie Goetz and those four youths on the subway: Allen, Ramseur,
Cabey, and Canty. At least two of them, according to some reports, appear to have been on drugs
at the time of the incident. They all came from the Claremont Village housing project in one of the
worst parts of the South Bronx. Cabey was, at the time, under indictment for armed robbery. Canty
had a prior felony for possession of stolen property. Allen had been previously arrested for
attempted assault.

Biography of Lon Trotsky Essay
Leon Trotsky (1879 1940) was a Russian Marxist politician and revolutionary in the early 20th
century. His contribution to Soviet Russia was immense through his practice of Marxist and
Trotskyist theory for Russia and the world. His rise to prominence in the Soviet Union was
characterized by his work and partnership with Lenin. Trotsky s most significant accomplishments
included his leadership of the Red Army and success in the February Revolution, which
consolidated Bolshevikpower. Trotsky s talent and ability was undoubted, however, it was
insufficient to attain leadership of the Soviet Union. Following the death of Lenin, Lenin s

Ultimately, this had brought together two revolutionary leaders, committed to the overthrow of
capitalism (Christian) and the Tsarist autocracy in Russia. This partnership between Lenin and
Trotsky was imperative, as Lenin had viewed Trotsky as a valuable and vital asset to the
revolution, where his leadership, talent and ability would play a major role. Trotsky s
involvement in the 1917 revolution was of utmost significance to Bolshevik success. With Lenin
in exile in Finland, Trotsky became the public face of Bolshevism. Trotsky s leadership of the
Soviet demonstrated his distinct skills, which became essential to the success of the revolution.
His formation, recruiting, disciplining and arming of the Red Guard became a significant factor
to the movement. It had amassed to over 200,000 militants by October. Additionally Trotsky s
arranging of the Soviet, placing Bolshevik delegates in power, allowed the Bolsheviks to organize
the Military Revolutionary committee. Isaac Deutscher commends Trotsky for his brilliant
Military organization and leadership of the revolution. Furthermore, he recognizes Trotsky as the
key to the success of the revolution as Lenin was in exile. However, from Richard s Pipe s
perspective, Trotsky s role in the Revolution

We fail to realize there is an important system for everything. This stems from the idea that
every living creature has a purpose. Nature has a fragile balance that needs to be preserved, or
else it would fall quickly. One small change will destroy the basis of that foundation toppling
everything that was done. Our system works in the same way. If we would make that one,
damaging change, everything we built would surely fall. Reminding us that, while we
accomplished so much, we are very much prone to making a mistake that could potentially reverse
everything. Take in case a while ago, nearly half a century, wolves were hunted to near extinction at
Yellowstone National Park to allow the elkpopulation to grow. Over 130 wolves were killed, so
soon Yellowstone was devoid of these canines. The elk population did indeed grow, and it spiraled

Difference Between Jane Eyre And Wide Sargasso Sea
Jean Rhys and Charlotte Bronte wrote their novels in distinctive time periods and originated
from diverse influences in writing. Jean Rhys novel, Wide Sargasso Sea is a fascinating
connection to Rochester s insane wife locked in a room. Rhys further represents Antoinette
while, Charlotte Bronte affirmed that it was left clarified (Thorpe 126) Antoinette, like Jane,
evolves in a world with a negligible measure of affection to offer. Both these characters are taken
care of by relatives, both had a lonely childhood, and both had lost their first companion. Jane is
competent in refusing to herself, the trademarks others put on her shape her character, while
Antoinette is baffled by having a body, soul and life. She is overlooked by everybody aside from
Josephine and has little correspondence with others. The characters bear a loss of personal
identity, psychologically and physically. Jane s fixation with Rochester, allows her feelings to

Jane and Rochester vary from the relations of Rochester and Antoinette; due to Bronte s portrayal
both characters demolish their aloneness and discover essential worth in one another, they are
indistinguishable from various perspectives and cannot live separated. As Jane states, I am not

  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Bus Safety The school bus safety in this time has gotten better and worse, but the one thing you don t see in school buses too often are the seatbelts. I believe that seat belts are needed in buses. The first patented seat belt was created by American Edward J. Claghorn on February 10, 1885 in order to keep tourists safe in taxis in New York City. This idea slowly became more popular in the manufacturing of other vehicles. Competing drivers were the first to be required to wear a seat belt. The real breakthrough with modern seat belts came in 1958 when Swedish engineer Nils Bohlin was hired by Volvo and he designed the seat belts we know today through a three point seat belt that better protects the driver and passenger in an accident. The three point design was created to help secure both the upper and lower body in an accident. Since 1966, vehicles in America were required to have seat belts in their cars. By 1975, most first world countries had a seat belt requirement in their cars. Once the three point seat belt became more common in cars, laws soon followed afterwards. By 1970, the world s first seat belt law was created in Victoria, Australia, which required passengers to wear their seat belts at all times. In the U.S., seat belt laws came around the time of the creation of The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966. From 2006 to 2015, there were nationally 301 school aged children who died in school transportation related crashes: 54 were killed by school ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Teachers were stricter and corporal punishment was still in use. They had fewer subjects and wealth, discrimination, sexism and racism meant they could only do certain subjects. After World War 2 there was a baby boom and as a result in the 1950 s schools were quickly filling up as the children enrolled. The enrolments increased as much as 30% over the baby boomers decade. In the year 1950 there were 166 437 existing elementary and secondary schools in the USA to educate over 29 million students. As the amount of students increased, the schools and resources declined. Other methods of punishment were intimidation, strapping, removal from class, loss of privilege, writing lines and verbal put downs were all regularly used. As stated before, the class numbers were increasing so teachers had to teach more students, meaning discipline was becoming more stringent as the teacher tried to keep the class in control. The 1950 s was the time of the cold war and there was a great tear of nuclear war. In certain areas of America the fallout tests were being brought in where the students were required to go through a fake atomic bomb attack and they would find refuge under their desks (little did they know this wouldn t protect them from radiation!). • 4. Dr Cohan Body Image Summary The video that Dr. Cohan shared was really insightful and very informative.Eating disorders and bodty image has been an issue in our society for a very long time. A lot of points were made by Dr. Cohan to help her audience understand obesity and body image in relation to the sociology view of things. For most of us, our body is very private. It s something that we cherish and respect and take care of. It is our home and our responsibility is to take care for it. But like Dr. Cohan pointed out, as private as our body is to us it is actually a public issue that relates to social structure. She states that the body is socially and culturally constructed. I can agree with this statement. Society and different cultural aspects definitely influence and determine the decisions we make in regards to our body and body image. I found it interesting in knowing the different ways a body could be viewed, in terms of how it can be percieved, valued, and treated. The way Milian King suggested that the body becomes a sight for asserting, imposing, performing, challenging, and destabilizing categories of gender, race ethnicity, and sexuality. On a day to day basis, one doesn t think of all the ways the image of a body is broken down, but when it is brought to light in this way, it is true. I agree with Dr. Cohan on... We were robbed of this matchup back in November, but now, possibly for the final time, we get a Tom Brady led team verse a Peyton Manning led team. It doesn t matter that Peyton Manning is playing the worst football of his career; the narrative of this game is Brady V. Manning. Without question, Tom Bradyis the better quarterback in this matchup. He s playing at an MVP caliber level carrying his less talented team to the AFC championship while Manning, is asked to platy well enough to not lose the game. • 9. Innovation of Hydrothermal Synthesis from the Past and... INNOVATION OF HYDROTHERMAL SYNTHESIS FRON THE PAST PRESENT Traditional Hydrothermal Synthesis since the end of the 19th century, hydrothermal synthesis of inorganic materials has been carried out. It is defined as the precipitation of these materials from aqueous solutions at temperatures above the boiling point and at pressures greater than ambient pressure. This method is actually environmentally because it does not require any organics or additional processing such as calcinations. That is the reason why it has been widely used for synthesis of a wide range of materials especially metal oxides such as hematite and quartz. Hydrothermal synthesis of quartz was demonstrated several decades ago and now currently used commercially. The traditional hydrothermal synthesis method is carried out in an autoclave type reactor where an aqueous solution is heated slowly to a certain temperature and then aged for several hours or days. In the case of the formation of metal oxides, hydrothermal synthesis method is generally involve two reactions which are hydrolysis of the meal salts followed by dehydration. M(NO ) x + xH O = M(OH) x + xHNO (Hydrolysis) H O x M OH x MOx / 2 2 2 ( ) = + (Dehydration) This method is normally at around 373 473 K. During the heat up period, the above reactions take place to produce nuclei and eventually crystals. During hydrothermal reactions resulting in materials with the desired microstructure and properties, the homogeneous nucleation and grain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The book, The Princess Bride, written by William Goldman, and the movie Shrek directed by Andrew Adamson, both portray individuals facing tough situations that can only overcome through the power of love. Specifically, in both contexts, this is proven through the characters, Westley and Shrek, and Princess Buttercup and Princess Fiona. Westley and Shrek share similar characteristics. This controversial issue has been ailing politicians and public morality since its abolition in 1976. As one examines the arguments for and against the reinstatement of capital punishment; examples of modern day cases dealing with capital punishment; and statistics on such cases, one can better appreciate the reasons why this barbaric form of punishment should remain in the past. When the state takes away one s life, how is this action more moral than the original crime? The government represents its people. When the government condones such morbid actions to be taken place legally, what message does this send out to its people? Pat displays his irritable moods throughout the movie, for example, in the scene where he is searching for his wedding video and becomes agitated quite fast once he realizes he cannot find it. His goal directed behaviour during his episodes is very specific, for example finding his wedding video, it is the middle of the night and he is searching the house frantically for it, Pat even wakes up his parents to help him search their room, study and the attic. The View Of The Afterlife Essay Classical World Influences Introduction The aim of my report is to explain how the view of the afterlife in Ancient Greece has shaped works of art, books and the mentality of people. In order to do this I am going to explore how ancient Greek people saw the underworld as well as Roman people and the Renaissance period. Because Greeks saw the underworld as a dark, dreadful and gloomy place, many of the works that refer to it, either in Roman times or the Renaissance, are influenced by this view. In particular works like the Odyssey by Homer or The Phaedo by Plato, explained to a certain level the structure of the afterlife in ancient Greece. These two pieces of literature severely influenced works like the book VI of the Aeneid by Virgil where he depicts the underworld referencing to the Greek point of view. But a deeper description of the underworld is given by Dante in his Divine Comedy where he uses Virgil as his guide, from the depths of hellto the Purgatory while Beatrice, Dante s ideal woman, guides him through heaven. All these time periods shared the idea of the underworld as being a place where souls pay the sins they committed during their lives. Afterlife in Ancient Greece The afterlife in ancient Greece was Known as Hades. It was a grey world ruled by Hades, the Lord of the Dead. Many formulas exist, designed to show what factors are included when compiling an analysis. Threats are those instances that cause an operational or financial strain on your organization. The inverse is also important as you could have a small number of employees with a lot of business and then customer satisfaction suffers, driving profits down. All the equipment owned as well as the facility are considered assets in this situation. Potential revenue is also included in this figure. Without changing anything, there would be no mitigating factors so an analysis would concur that nothing obviously changed. Active Impact on Future Operations As noted previously, the threats and assets do not change. There is the same latent problem of losing person hours based on not appropriating for business that day. This causes lost revenue either paid to the employee or not paid by the potential customer. The difference between the idle impact and active impact is that the mitigating factor changes the analysis figures. The solution would be to be able to track usage of the facility and correlate that to semi public deployment schedules. Knowing how much of the base is gone at any given point in time can help with the expected number of customers per day. Before addressing the double standard society needs to understand why females are viewed as less dangerous, the negative impacts that are placed on their victims, and why male victims are often viewed as responsible for the rape. Danger Level Number of Offenders The most common and most obvious reason why female offenders are considered less dangerous that male offenders are the number of women who actually commit these crimes are far less than their counterparts. • 39. Analysis Of Oedipus The King Oedipus Cursing His Son, Polynices is a great work of art created by Henry Fuseli, in 1786. This painting was created in Fuseli s homeland, Zurich, Switzerland. This painting has a powerful and dramatic purpose to it, and is very interesting to look at. The media of this painting is oil on canvas, and the paint is used loosely. The loose brushy style of the paint gives off the style of impressionism that brings the painting together. There is great historical and cultural context on this painting that refers to Greek mythology. Henry Fuseli s dramatic painting depicts an ancient Greek tragedy, King Oedipus discovered a horror that he murdered his father and married his mother. Oedipus blinded himself in contrition; Upset at his sons, Oedipus forced them to die in battle by each other s hand. He extends his arms to curse them, while Polynices draws back in shame and what is implied as pain from the curse. As for background information on the artist himself, Fuseli was encouraged by Reynolds in 1768 to become a painter. Fuseli traveled to Italy in 1770 to seek inspiration. Sculpture, Michelangelo, and mannerist art inspired him. Fuseli initiated his reputation when he returned to London in 1780. He dedicated most of his time and effort into paintings of Shakespearean themes, and became the leading mind of a group of inventive and experimental young artists. The construction of this, located in the Plateau of the Zagros lands or Fars Providence, Iran, made the workers acknowledge many international styles. To the people, it was a constant reminder of an entrance of all people. While grey limestone was the main material used, other supplies found around the whole empire also helped with the construction: cedar coming from Lebanon, yaka wood coming from Gandhara and Carmania and bricks coming from Babylon. With great material used, the structure came to include courts, halls, and columns. His characteristic trustworthiness, nevertheless, has not necessarily permitted historians to easily interpret all aspects of his personal life and political career. One such topic that has been somewhat shrouded in mystery is Abraham Lincoln s religious views. The prolific American theologian, Reinhold Neibuhr once referred to Lincoln as unquestionably our most religious president, who was superior in depth and purity to those, not only of the political leaders of the day, but of the religious leaders of the era. [i] On the other hand, a contemporary of Lincoln, William Herndon, attempted to combat the idea that Abraham Lincoln changed his views about believing in a personal God by dismissing the existence of any evidence for such a claim.[ii] However, Wayne C. The duos intimate relationship was exemplified during the late sixteenth century, extending into the seventeenth century, during a series of wars which would later on come to be called the wars of religion. In the Old Testament, one of the ways of such a walk, because of God s mercy, was to make animal sacrifice for sin. In the New Testament, confessing one s sin to God is a part of walking in the covenant ways of God (1 John 1:9). So then, when the believer sins it is not because he has turned aside from God and is no longer walking in the way of God, backslidden in heart and filled with his own ways, but rather because of the weakness of his flesh he may fall into sin. For example: When people were placed in an environment of filth they are more violent and hectic causing the crime rate to increase. When you come from a bad neighborhood you are statistically more likely to be dangerous and belligerent.
