Writes Essay For You
Writing an essay on the topic of "Writes Essay For You" presents a unique set of challenges,
primarily due to the inherent paradox in the subject matter. The difficulty lies in navigating the
delicate balance between discussing the complexities of essay writing while also maintaining a
sense of coherence and purpose within the essay itself.
One of the initial challenges is the potential for circular reasoning. Addressing the topic requires
careful consideration to avoid falling into the trap of simply restating the premise – writing an
essay for someone else. The essay must delve deeper into the underlying reasons people seek
such services, exploring the complexities of time constraints, lack of expertise, or the desire for a
polished and professional final product.
Another hurdle is maintaining objectivity while discussing a service that, by its nature, involves a
degree of subjectivity. It is essential to present a comprehensive view that acknowledges the
ethical considerations surrounding writing essays for others, including potential issues of
plagiarism and academic integrity.
Furthermore, the essay must grapple with the broader implications of outsourcing one's writing
tasks. It requires addressing the educational aspects, questioning whether the act of
commissioning essays aligns with the intended purpose of academic institutions – fostering
independent thought, critical analysis, and effective communication skills.
Balancing these aspects while ensuring the essay remains engaging for the reader adds an
additional layer of difficulty. The narrative must flow seamlessly, connecting the dots between
the broader discussions of academic integrity, the motivations behind seeking such services, and
the ethical considerations at play.
Ultimately, tackling the intricacies of this topic necessitates a nuanced approach. It involves a
delicate dance between exploring the complexities of the subject matter and maintaining a clear
and compelling narrative that captivates the reader's attention from start to finish.
In conclusion, unraveling the layers of difficulty inherent in crafting an essay on "Writes Essay
For You" requires finesse and thoughtful consideration. The challenge lies not only in addressing
the topic's paradox but also in presenting a well-rounded discussion that engages the reader
intellectually. Similar essays and more can be explored or commissioned atHelpWriting.net,

What Is The Isolation Of Limonene From Citrus Fruits
Chirality Isolation of Limonene from Citrus Fruits Introduction: Terpenes are a
large and varied class of hydrocarbons produced by a wide variety of plants. Many
essential oils belong to the terpene class. They are made up of two or more five
carbon units that are called isoprenes. Limonene is a terpene that can be separated
from orange peels almost 100% in the (R) (+) limonene form. Other citrus fruits like
lemons, grapefruits, limes, and tangerines contain the compound as well. The purity
of the oil extracted from the oranges can be determined by physical properties such
as optical rotationand refractive index. In this experiment, limonene will be isolated
by steam distillation. Normally, big molecules such as limonene... Show more content

The mixture was heated to a gentle boil and then the distillation was allowed to
begin. The heat was turned off after the temperature of the steam stayed constant.
The distillation continued until approximately 40 mL of the liquid was obtained.
The 40 mL of distillate was transferred to a 250 mL separatory funnel. A small
amount of dichloromethane was used to wash the receiver after the transferal. The
distillate was extracted with 10 mL of dichloromethane three times, each time using a
little extra dichlormethane to wash each layer. The organic layer on the bottom was
collected for each extraction. All organic layers were collected in a 125 mL
Erlenmeyer flask. Anhydrous sodium sulfate was used to dry the solution for fifteen
minutes. Meanwhile, a vacuum filtration apparatus was set up accordingly. A 250
mL filter flask was obtained and pre weighed. The solution containing the limonene
was vacuum filtrated while it was kept warm in a steam bath. Additional Sodium
Sulfate was added to the solution to remove excess water. The solution was then
washed 3 4 times with dichloromethane and the vacuum filtration continued. The
vacuum pump was turned off when the flask contained only a small amount of oil.
The flask was then weighed. After the limonene was isolated in part one, a few
drops of it was used to find the refractive index. A Pasteur pipette was used to place a
few drops of the oil on the measuring
When Abibatou Diallo Was First Starting School, Her Name
When Abibatou Diallo was first starting school, her name stopped being so hard to
pronounce. Her name stopped being what she identified at all. Her teacher took
her name and with no objections from Abibatou began calling her Abby. Thinking
about being called Abibatou, just fills Abby with a weird feeling now. Not a single
person has called her by her full name in such a long time, that it no longer holds
any meaning to her. Abby s name is just one example of how she has been forced to
become Americanized since she began her education. You see Abby is African born
through and through. She has the richest brown skin, deepest brown eyes, and
kinkiest black hair. She is the epitome of African beauty, curves and all. It is a shame
that since... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Abby strongly believes that if her life was switched she would not be the reserved
anti social bookworm that she is. She would not have devoted mostly all her time to
school work. She would have lived just a little bit more. Abby managed to be in
gifted classes from first grade all the way through high school. When entering high
school, she took advanced placement classes almost every year, and ended up
becoming valedictorian of her class. School was her life, it was what she was
brought to America to do. School was what was ingrained within her that she had
to do, because it would be selfish if she did not. There was so much pressure to
succeed, for her sister was not given the opportunities that she had received. Abby
has never struggled with school, she has always been a gifted student. She loves to
write, she loves to read, she loves school, but she did not like all the underlying
pressure that was imposed upon her.
If you knew Abby you could see that who she was, was more than just being a
student. While a dimple filled smile that reached ear to ear, and a bubbly spirit, it
is hard to not want to be her friend. This may be why she is so frustrated with
spending so much time on school. She never had a lot of time to show people her
true colors. She was always too busy writing. As mad as Abby can be for not getting
that true social aspect she wanted, it is subsided with her pure love for writing. It has
always just been
What Are The Similarities Between Garuda Indonesia And...
In this high mobility era, plane became indispensable part of people life especially
for those who like or need to travel. Plane is the most efficient transportation
particularly for traveling across islands, province and country. There are two kinds
of plane services, which is low cost carrier and full services. Commonly, low cost
carrier is chosen because of the fare is cheaper, but some people priority services
rather than price. In Indonesia, there are two airlines providing full services, Garuda
Indonesiaand Batik Air (JPPN, 2015). There is argue in which one is the best full
services airlines between Garuda Indonesia and Batik Air. Moreover, both airlines
have some similarities as well as contraries. Garuda Indonesia and Batik Air is totally

The fare of each airline is also counted as integrated part of the qualitative
measurement to make it more objective and accurate. According to Nurfitriyani
(2016), for on time performance which is reflected by on time of take off, Batik
Air overcome Garuda Indonesia with 91.21 percent or 23,366 of 24,617 flights
scheduled, while Garuda only 85.82 percent or 77,955 of 90,832 flights scheduled.
This is also given Batik Air award by Transportation Ministry as the most on time
airline in Indonesia, while Garuda only in third place. Most of the delayed factor is
the plane is not ready yet when take off time comes. However, according to
Nusaresearch (2013), Garuda Indonesia is the most satisfaction and reliable airline
for higher monthly expenditure passengers. Time by time, the dominance of Garuda

Heathcliff
Wuthering Heights is a novel whose main character is said to have a double
significance. He is said to be both the dispossessed and the dispossessor, victim of
class hatred and arch exploiter, he simultaneously occupies the roles of working
class outsider and brutal capitalist. Heathcliff has all these characteristics because
of his experiences. He is a character moulded by his past. Heathcliff is a character
defined by his sympathetic past. Growing up as an orphan from a tender age,
deprived of a structured family and family support system, exposed to the negative
influences life offered, it is almost a certainty that his behaviour will not be that of an
ideal gentleman. Heathcliff was adopted by Mr Earnshaw. He was then... Show more

However Catherine lured Heathcliff into a relationship, brain washed him into
thinking that she truely loved him and was going to marry him one fine day.
Instead she discarded their relationship and decided to marry Edgar Linton, a
wealthy man. Catherine discarded her relationship with Heathcliff, for one main
reason and that was because he was not a wealthy man. It was obvious that
Catherine married Edgar so she could be the greatest woman of the neighbourhood
and if she married Heathcliff it would degrade her and they would both end up as
beggars . This a good example of how Heathcliff was a victim of class hatred. His
impulsive actions makes his character, not only revengeful, but also demonic. His
goal in life was to take revenge on those who have victimized him. Heathcliff is a
victim of class hatred but he also manipulates situations to his advantage and
becomes an arch exploiter. For example, after the death of his wife, Hindley went
insane. Heathcliff used this opportunity to take revenge and took Wuthering Heights
away from Hindley. He then went further and married Edgar s sister, not for love or
monetary gain but to get back at Edgar for marrying Catherine, and treated Edgar s
sister terribly. Heathcliff s anger intensified and he was bent on destroying not only
his enemies but also their families. He then married his son to Catherine and Edgar s
daughter in an attempt to gain control over Thrushcross Grange. After
Unique Characteristics Of The Climograph On Death Valley

Death Valley is around January (around 20 degrees Celsius), and the highest amount
of precipitation is during February (around 13 millimeter). Similarly to Pittsburgh, in
Hartford, Connecticut there are large amounts of precipitation and around
Essay Male Circumcision is Unnecessary and Wrong
Male Circumcision is Unnecessary and Wrong
I am opposed to the circumcision of infants. Here are my reasons:
The reason circumcision is performed at all is for historical and religious reasons,
not for medical reasons. Circumcision is not medically necessary; the medical
societies now consider it optional, and will in time recommend against it because of
the risks involved. The health benefits claimed are always statistically minor and so
do not warrant the practice. Additionally, any putative health benefits mostly relate to
adult males; to circumcise a baby today for benefits that are hoped to accrue decades
later is unwarranted, because advances in medicine that will occur during those
decades may make such prevention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Removal of an equivalent amount of skin from any other part of the body, such as
earlobes, would be considered mutilation, pure and simple. The only reason
circumcision is not considered mutilation is again for historical and religious reasons
which should carry no weight in a rational discussion of public policy. It s always
been done, hence it s okay, seems to be the reasoning involved. The same argument
can be made in favor of female circumcision among those cultures that favor it, yet
this practice is viewed with horror by most Americans.
Circumcision reduces the sensitivity of the penis, and so reduces sexual pleasure in
adult males, and a botched circumcision can ruin a man s life.
Circumcision removes a necessary protection of a sensitive part, as nude sunbathers
discover. This protection is also useful while clothed.
Circumcision is performed on a patient who cannot give his consent. Because it is not
medically required, for reasons of medical ethics it should be withheld until consent is
possible.
Circumcision is performed in the name of a religion which may be repudiated by the
recipient when he becomes able to judge. For such persons, the religious purpose
becomes nugatory. The bodies of children should not be sacrificed to the religion of
their parents.
The religious purpose of circumcision may have been repudiated by the church of
which the parents are members. Through

The Mystery Genre of Hound of the Baskervilles
The Hound of the Baskervilles, written by Arthur Conan Doyle, is based on a
mysterious genre, it was published in 1902.
In his book Arthur Conan Doyle has created imagery for his readers to gain a better
understanding of the story. The character in his book became very popular in them
days and are still known of today, such as Detective Sherlock Holmes.
The way Arthur s deceptive writing and the use of language he used in this story

In the novel the different settings have been described very well and gives the reader
a good idea of what is going on.
Another feature of this novel is stock characters which are stereotypical characters.
An example of this is Sherlock Holmes himself who can be described as, He now
took the stick from my hands and examined it for a few minutes with his eyes, this
shows us that what sort of detection he is doing and how he goes about it, this is
also useful to the reader to learn about his techniques and follow what he is doing.
The reader might enjoy this book because they feel like they are helping Sherlock as
his sidekick.
Another example of a stock character is the damsel is distress who happens to be
Mrs Stapleton. She is described as, Mrs Stapleton was darker than any brunette
woman whom I ever seen in England, slim elegant and tall, this describes Mrs
Stapleton s appearance. Another quotation that describes Mrs Stapleton voice is,
She spoke in a low, eager voice with a curious lisp. These quotations are very good
example of describing Mrs Stapleton.
The final stock character would be the villain who happens to
Textual Analysis Of Dante s Inferno
Textual Analysis
After crossing the Phlegethon, Dante the Pilgrim and Virgil cross into a dark forest
where there are no green leaves, but rather black in color, no smooth branches, but
twisted and entangled, no fruit, but thorns of poison bloomed instead (Dante, Inferno
186). The forest is depicted this way to give a picture of the barren nature of suicide.
Dante sees the Harpies nesting and tearing at the trees surrounding them, ....in
Greek mythology the Harpies are storm winds which act as ministers of Divine
vengeance, mysteriously snatching offenders away out of the visible world
(Dartmouth). The Harpies are a depiction of how those who commit suicide snatch
themselves away from the visible world. He hears wails of torment within the
woods all around him and Dante is confused by the noise and its origin. He first
thinks that the yelling comes from individuals hiding behind the trees, but learns
the truth once prompted by Virgil to break a branch. Dante tears off a piece of a
great thornbush. The emphasis on the size of the bush may be a way to signify the
importance of the man entrapped inside it, possibly like Medieval art in which
artists stress the importance of a specific character by making it larger (Dartmouth).
To Dante s surprise, blood began to spew out of the branch, and the tree starts to
speak directly to the Pilgrim. This tree, named Pier, committed suicide after being
accused of treason. Pier continues to swear on the new roots of this tree that
Memory Foam Essay
Mattresses come in many sizes, shapes, styles and firmness levels. Consumers often
feel overwhelmed when they see the sheer number of options available to them.
Following is some information on the major types of mattresses available today,
along with the benefits and drawbacks of each option.
Memory Foam Mattresses
Memory foam mattresses remain the preferred choice of consumers in America, when
rating mattresses on average user satisfaction. For this reason, individuals often turn
to this type of mattress when they want to replace an existing one. In fact, they are
often referred to as the ideal all around mattress for any person, and this helps to
explain why approximately 85 percent of individuals now sleep on this type of bed
every night. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This offgassing produced a chemical smell that is unpleasant. This problem can
easily be eliminated by allowing the mattress, pillow or pad to air for a minimum
of 24 hours before putting a cover or sheet over it. This helps to remove the smell.
For those who forget to take this step, there is no need for concern, as the smell
doesn t cause a reaction in those individuals using the bed.
Memory foam should not be used with young children. As the memory foam is very
soft, carbon monoxide could become trapped in the bedding. This leads to concern
about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), a syndrome that results in the death of
young infants.
One thing to consider when choosing this type of mattress is the type of
construction. Some individuals wish to have a traditional foam or gel infused
mattress, yet others prefer one made using plant based foam. Budget does play a
role in which brand is selected, yet manufacturers understand how popular this type
of bed has become and now offer a wide range of products spanning a range of price
points. When two similar mattresses are found, it s best to look at other factors,
like customer service and reliability, when choosing. Don t hesitate to go with a
lesser known brand or a lower quality of mattress, if the bed will only be used
occassionally or for a short period of

Character Analysis of the Elder Mrs. Winning of Flower Garden
The oppression of tyranny breeds either rebellion or its counterpart, conformity, as
was the case for the character Helen Winning in the story Flower Garden by Shirley
Jackson. The static, intrinsic traits of the Elder Mrs. Winning, which are influential to
the outcome of the story, are developed in detail by Jackson s use of description and
dramatic scenes. The elder Mrs. Winning is characterized as a woman with an
authoritative, domineering personality who is unyielding in her convictions.

Winning s superiority. When Howard, the son of the elder Mrs. Winning , enters the
house as he [comes] in from the barn , he simply acknowledges his wife, the younger
Mrs. Winning, with a nod ; in contrast, he more affectionately [kisses] his mother
(496). By including this detail about the distinct ways the two women are treated by
Howard Winning in her description, Jackson illustrates the premiership the elder Mrs.
Winning occupies in her household. Moreover, Jackson describes how Helen
Winning [tried] to anticipate her mother in law s gesture of serving (496) which
indicates further the preponderant and overruling qualities of the elder Mrs. Winning.
The elder Mrs. Winning is a nightmarishly overbearing mother in law. The opening
paragraph is a base for understanding the forcibleness of the elder Mrs. Winning s
character. Jackson recounts that, After living . . . together . . . the two . . . had
grown to look a good deal alike, as two women will who live intimately together,
and get things done around the house in the same manner (490). By providing this
description Jackson discloses the profound extent of the influence that the elder Mrs.
Winning has had on the identity of her daughter in law. The elder Mrs. Winning is
so overpowering that Helen has methodically adopted her lifestyle and has even
gained her looks. The high handedness of the elder Mrs. Winning is first made
evident when Jackson describes that the younger Mrs. Winning has invited her
Archduke Franz Ferdinand Research Paper
I believe that June 28th, 1914, was perhaps the one of the single most defining
moments of the 20th century. Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Princess
Sophie of Hohenberg, assassinations shook a fragile European peace down to its
roots. While Franz Ferdinand was not the emperor of the Habsburg Empire at the
time of his death, Serbian nationalist extremist group, the Black Hand, planned, and
executed, their assassination in hopes that his death would start a war that would free
what was then Bosnia from Austrian rule. While the decision to target Franz
Ferdinand was relatively arbitrary, the Black Hand wanted to target some member of
the Habsburg Dynasty that would trigger their Bosnian revolution. Ultimately with
some planning, and a lot of luck, the Serbian members of the Black Hand were

The Little Albert Experiment by John Watson and Rosalie...
The Little Albert experiment has become a widely known case study that is
continuously discussed by a large number of psychology professionals. In 1920,
behaviorist John Watson and his assistant Rosalie Rayner began to conduct one of
the first experiments done with a child. Stability played a major factor in choosing
Albert for this case study, as Watson wanted to ensure that they would do as little
harm as possible during the experiment. Watson s method of choice for this
experiment was to use principles of classic conditioning to create a stimulus in
children that would result in fear. Since Watson wanted to condition Albert, a variety
of objects were used that would otherwise not scare him. These objects included a
white rat, blocks, a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This occurrence between the rat and the bar showed that the dual stimulations the
week prior had a lasting effect on Albert. In his case study, Watson explained that the
stimulations were given to get a complete reaction from Albert. The response from
the stimulations was as convincing a case of a completely conditioned fear response
as could have been theoretically pictured (Watson, 1920, pp. 314). Every time the rat
was joined with the loud sound (dual stimulation), Albert gave the same complete
negative reaction. In the experiment, pairing the rat and noise caused by the hammer
striking the bar, play the role of unconditioned stimulus (US), conditioned stimulus
(CS) and conditioned response (CR). Introducing Albert to the loud sound of
hammering the bar is measured as the unconditioned stimulus. The loud sound is
something that Albert is not accustomed to, so the response is unlearned.
Conditioned stimulus occurred when Albert was continuously introduced to the rat
alone. Since Albert experienced the rat at the same the bar was hammered, he has
learned to associate the rate with the sound of the bar (US). Albert s conditioned
response in the experiment transpired when he was able to perform the same
behavior when he was presented with the rat (CS) over and over. After Watson was
able to condition a fear response in Albert for one object, he wanted to know if the
response was carried over.

Now that I m older, I have started to loathe driving. Don t ask me why, but after
thirty years or so of being behind a wheel while commuting to work, I don t think

One thing that also changed, however, was the fact that I now had to wear headgear
whenever I went out, lest I become a permanent addition to the pavement. I didn t

because I don t go that fast (or on the freeway). That s when I discovered motorcycle

Pair Bonding Thesis
Neural Basis of Pair Bonding
Pair bonding is defined as a close relationship between two individuals. To
understand the neural basis of pair bonding it would make sense to consider
monogamous species since monogamy is based on pair bonding. On the other hand
polygamy supports mating with several individuals which does not necessarily
support bonding with only one individual. Most of the studies done on pair bonding
used a monogamous rodent, the prairie vole. Prairie voles form a long term bond
with their partner after multiple mating and tend to spend the rest of their life with
the same partner. These voles spend more time with their partner than a stranger vole.
This characteristic is considered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We have already discussed how the importance of vasopressin in social behaviors.
Central
administration of vasopressin facilitates monogamous typical behaviors in male
prairie voles
through the vasopressin V1a receptors (V1aR) in the brain (Winslow et al., 1993). It
would be
interesting to compare how vasopressin activity differs between the monogamous and
polygamous voles. Turns out it is not the amount of vasopressin but the distribution
of V1aRs in
the brain which varies considerably between monogamous and promiscuous vole
species (Insel
et al., 1994). Lastly to emphasize Vasopressin s role in neural basis of pair bonding, an
experiment done by Lim et al (2004) is included. These researchers did an amazing
experiment
to investigate if inserting V1aR gene vole could induce partner preference in
polygamous voles.
The vasopressin receptor (V1aR) is highly expressed in Ventral palladium. It is
located within
the ventral forebrain, which is a part of limbic system. In this experiment a group of
polygamous
meadow voles were used as subjects. Researchers inserted the adeno associated viral
(AAV)
vector containing the prairie vole V1aR gene into the ventral palladium. The control

Henry V Theme Of War
Known as one of the greatest warrior kings in all of English history, Henry V has
left a hefty impression. In Shakespeare s play of the same name, the monarch battles
literally with France for the throne and figuratively with accountability and being a
just ruler and conqueror. Through the story, we can see the values Henry holds and
how the real implications of war aren t something the king cannot deal with in a
proper manner. The debate between King Henry and the common soldiers like
Williams and Bates illustrate fundamental problems with Henry s rule and asks
important questions about the motives behind war itself. In Act 4, Scene 1 of
Shakespeare s Henry V, the king does incognito in a cloak to interact with the
everyman of his army. This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He ignores the responsibility of the king for putting all these lives in danger. He
denies the fault of the king for waging the war, and instead deflects the blame onto
the will of God. Basically, his response to the soldiers is that they must be
spiritually prepared when they go into battle because the king is not responsible
for their deaths. This is a believe that is horribly ignorant and unfair to the people
who might actually lose their lives. When the king conquers the French port on the
mouth of the Seine, he insults them and states that God is on their side. Eventually,
he implies that the French should feel badly for being responsible for the death of
their many citizens at the hands of English. However, the same doesn t apply for
himself when he could be leading his men to their deaths. This might be because he
thinks God s favor lies with England but it is of course foolish and hypocritical to
believe this. Using religion as a shield is a method Henry uses throughout the play,
stating the kingdom of England has God on their side on multiple occasions. This
aversion of guilt continually demonstrates Henry s doubt in himself and fragile
Things They Carried
Tim O Brien does a fantastic job of blurring the lines of what is true and what is
fiction in The Things They Carried. In fact, he often points out that he has made
entire stories up, after the fact. He defends his decisions by proposing that what he
has done is, in fact, not lie, but rather tell a storytruth. He argues that his reason for
doing this is to bring the story to life more than it could live through the happening
truth. I want you to feel what I felt. I want you to know why story truth is truer
sometimes than happening truth (O Brien, 183). O Brien believes that, when
accompanied by vivid details which essentially make the reader view the scene as a
dream, story truths can carry greater emotional truths than ever possible to... Show

Story telling truth, as has been defined to an extent, isn t completely real. Most
frequently, it is modeled after happening truth, where it re shapes the story. Through
the addition of details to the happening truth, the story becomes more believable.
Oftentimes, great morals come from story truths where they were not previously
evident in happening truths. One vivid example of this would be the scene where
Curt Lemon is killed. Following this is the baby water buffalo scene (O Brien, 74).
(O Brien, 80 81).
The details bring the story truth to life, as the reader can picture what is going on
more clearly through a sort of dream. Story truths bring events to life through the
imagination. The thing about a story is that you dream it as you tell it, hoping that
others might then dream along with you, and in this way memory and imagination
and language combine to make spirits in the head. There is an illusion of aliveness
(O Brien, 218).
Oftentimes, heroic instances are added to give a story morals, where they may not
have been visible to begin with. Take, for example, the scene where O Brien
describes the soldiers who come upon a killer grenade. One of the soldiers jumped
out and attempted to take the blast to save the rest of the soldiers. Right before they
all die, one of the soldiers asks why he jumped out
Black Boy Language Essay
The entirety of the novel Black Boy by Richard Wright is composed of scenes that
are meant to strike the audience. Whether it be through a stark use of pathos or a
technical use of logos, each scene is calculated. However, two scenes tend to stick
out in the mind s eye. They specifically offer an extra sense of reality to the already
raw story that is presented. As a well known author, Wright employs language in
order to get his stories across. And considering that language can take many
different meanings, I found two instances or scenes in which language played a
vital role. It impacted the author as a child in ways that may have led to his writing
style as it is in this novel, therefore it helped to shape him as a writer. These scenes

Each experience had a sharp meaning of its own (45). Wright continues to explain
how every experience he has from this point onward has a deeper meaning that he
would have never seen before. Just as there are negative consequences that come
with experience as seen in the tale of the noisy kitten there are just as many
positive outcomes. In this case, Wright sees the world from a different angle and
can, therefore, interpret it from different sides. Learning from his mistake of
speaking poor language to his grandmother, he vowed to learn the meaning of all
the words he would speak. As a writer, each word choice is then a reflection of his
new outlook. He utilizes phrases such as breathlessly anxious , flitting fireflies ,
pervading smell , pitying chuckle , and saliva stimulating smell (45) immediately
following his resolve. Each of these holds an intense imagery that is able to connect

Empire Season 3 Effect
The midseason finale of Empire Season 3, A Furnace for Your Foe, left a major
cliffhanger that made fans puzzled and worried for the life of Lucious Lyon
(Terrence Howard). It looks like the death of Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) is still
taking its toll on Andre (Trai Byers), although he is trying to move on. According
to Billboard, Andre is getting the help of his new love Nessa (Sierra McClain) to
forget his late wife. With that, he is seen throwing his wedding ring into the ocean
in Empire Season 3 in an effort to go on with his life, but it seems he still has an ill
feeling with his father, Lucious. Upon throwing their band, Andre promised Rhonda
that he would do everything to take down the person responsible for her and their
child s death. Later, he is seen making a deal with Nessa s brother Shine (Xzhibit) in
Empire Season 3 while swearing that he would tell him when it is the time to kill his

Andre can do it in Empire Season
How Did The Beatles Influenced American Culture
When the British showed up on the scene all chaos broke loose and Beatle fever
made its way into every young girl s heart of the generation. Britain had a very
significant effect on the American music industry and the general population who
listened and enjoyed their music. The main spearhead for this Invasion was The
Beatles. One product of that invasion was Tom Petty who remembers it being
absolutely earthshaking, he also said Culturally, it changed everything in America,
and probably the world. The influence on every part of our lives was huge, from
social issues to fashion issues to music issues. From that point on, the Beatles were
the North Star for me and my generation (McGarvey, 2014). The early 60s belonged
to The Beatles, there is no denying that, everything from social subjects you would
talk about with your friends, all the way to fashion and merchandise. Their arrival
opened the doors for more British bands to make it big in America, and steal the
attention of every boy and girl who listened to the radio. A few examples of bands
the British were responsible for includes The Rolling Stones, the Yardbirds, The Who,
the Animals and Manfred Mann. But how did this British Invasion happen in the first

The Beatles themselves have mentioned in interviews that Buddy Holly was an
inspiration to them which encouraged them to form a skiffle band (Robbins, 2014)
made up of a drummer less group of musicians. These British musicians came up
with the perfect recipe for a successful transition to the American music scene. They
borrowed the basic ingredients of rhythm and blues and country music (Robbins,
2014) from America and combined it with their own musical traditions of dancehall,
pop, and Celtic folk (Robbins, 2014). This created their own twist on rock n roll and
caused a frenzy when it crossed the Atlantic to
Who Was Responsible For The Downfall Of Macbeth
Decisions, Tragedies, Downfalls, and Macbeth
Downfall. A sudden loss of power, prosperity, or status. There have been many a
great leader, both in fiction and in history, whose rule suddenly came to a crashing
halt. In Shakespeare s famed tragedy Macbeth, a high ranking, Scottish General
named Macbeth murders the gracious King Duncan in order to take the throne for
himself. Only a few short weeks later, his castle is invaded in an all out siege and he
is beheaded. How could such a respected man go so quickly from being a well off
General to being dead? Macbeth himself is truly to blame for his own downfall
because he is personally responsible for his own decisions and actions leading up to it.
When Macbeth murders, he begins to go crazy and his judgement turns cloudy.
The day after killing Banquo, he hallucinates the ghost of Banquo at a feast and
starts talking to it. Prithee, see there! Behold! Look! Lo! How say you?/Why, what
care I? If thou canst nod, speak too (III, iv, 72 73). Macbeth loses all sense upon
seeing the ghost and he even starts talking to it. When Macbeth tells the ghost of
Banquo thou canst not say I did it (III, iv, 54 55) after it starts shaking its head at him
accusingly, it reveals that Macbeth is seeing the ghost because he cannot escape the
guilt of murder, even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Georgia Destination Essay Georgia contains some of the world s famous
attractions. Many people from all over the world come to see them. Some famous
attractions located in Georgia are the Amicalola Falls State Park, Six Flags over
Georgia, Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain, and the World of Coca Cola. Three
of my favorite places in Georgia that I have been to are Stone Mountain, Amicalola
falls, and Six Flags over Georgia. Stone Mountain is home to the world s biggest
piece of exposed granite. As you are walking, you see the mountain and if you look
even closer you see a carving of three Confederate heroes of the Civil War. They are

When we got to Six Flags, all you could hear were people screaming and yelling on
the rides. That just made you want to go on the rides more. Some of the rides in
Six Flags are Acrophobia, Batman, Dare Devil Dive, Georgia Cyclone, Georgia
Scorcher, Goliath, Gotham City Crime Wave, Great American Scream Machine,

long and it was also very hot. We also went to Hurricane Harbor. It is located inside
of Six Flags. Hurricane Harbor has a giant wave pool inside. It also has water
slides that are closed. The waterslides are called Bonzai Pipelines. It also has
something that is called the Tsunami Surge. In this water ride, you sit with three
other people in a tube. This ride will spin you 360 degrees. Inside there is also the

leaving you all wet. It started to get late, so we decided to start heading to the parking

The Role Of Nationalism In Macbeth By William
Shakespeare
Throughout the course of history, nationalism has been a defining characteristic of
many groups of people. We see that in our current day, nationalism is a factor that
determines the fate of communities and countries. One classic textbook case of
nationalism comes from the English during the period of unification between
England and Scotland. During this time period, we saw domestic tensions rise
between English and Scottish people. When we look at works such as Macbeth,
which was written by the Englishman William Shakespeare, further promoted an
image of Scottish people being barbaric and power hungry, whereas the English were
seen as benevolent and pure. By integrating this image into his story, Shakespeare
allowed fellow English citizens to feel superior, which continued their nationalist
sentiments. Ultimately, Shakespeare uses nationalist beliefs brought on by the... Show

imprisonment in Scotland after a rebellion against her rule. The rebellion was
sparked after she had been accused of plotting the murder of her husband. After
arriving in England, she was imprisoned as she was seen as a threat to the monarch at

Flag Burning can be and usually is a very controversial issue. Many people are

During a political protest during the 1984 Republican Convention, Gregory Lee
Johnson was arrested for burning an American flag. Years later in 1989, Johnson got
the decision overturned by the United States Supreme Court. In the same year, the
state of Texas passed the Flag Protection Act, which prohibited any form of
desecration against the American flag. This act provoked many people to protest and
burn flags anyway. Two protestors, Shawn Eichman and Mark Haggerty were
charged with violating the law and arrested. Both Eichman and Haggerty appealed the

While the Republican National Convention was taking place in Dallas in 1984,
respondent Johnson participated in a political protest. The purpose of this event was
to protest the policies of the Reagan administration and of certain Dallas based
corporations. The demonstrators marched through the Dallas streets, chanting
political slogans and stopping at several corporate locations to dramatize the
consequences of nuclear war. On several occasions they spray painted the walls of
buildings and overturned potted plants, but Johnson himself took no part in such
activities. He did, however, accept an American flag handed to him by a fellow
protestor. The demonstration ended in front of Dallas City Hall, where Johnson
unfolded the American flag, drenched it with kerosene, and set it on fire. While the
flag burned, the protestors chanted. No one was physically injured or threatened with
injury, though several witnesses had said that they had been seriously offended by
the flag burning.
Of all of the demonstrators, Johnson was the only person charged with a crime. The
only criminal offense with which he was charged was the desecration of a venerated

Gender Bias in Education
Gender bias has existed in education since the inception of schooling. According to
the National Women s History Museum (NWHM), during the 1700 s, women were
denied access to secondary schooling, and were only given the most basic education
deemed necessary to fulfill the women s duties (NWHM 1). Research from the
National Coalition for Women and Girls in Education(NCWGE) has shown that
when Title IX was introduced in 1972, girls were able to participate in any state
funded activity, resulting in protest from those who believed genderbias did not exist
(NCWGE 1). The opposition argued that girls are just different from boys, and
incapable of doing the same things. The gender bias in schools across America,
since the conception of schooling, has led to hardships and stereotypes faced by
females in education and society. During the 1700 s, the education of women was
basic. Some girls were taught how to read, strictly to read the Bible, and they were
taught skills considered useful, like knitting, sewing, and other household duties. It
was considered strange and undesirable for a woman to be well educated. As the
1800 s began, femaleacademies began to be formed, which provided women with a
similar education to men, teaching math, writing, reading, and history, but separate of
the opposite gender. Heading into the 1900 s, African American women were finally
Higgins 2 given a proper education, although separate of whites (NWHM 3). With the
creation of Title IX in
How does Clint Eastwood, director of the film, Invictus,...
How does Clint Eastwood, director of the film, Invictus, use the South African rugby
team (the Springboks) as a vehicle to bring a troubled nation together?
Clint Eastwood shows the change in the nation of South Africa in Invictus, using the
Springboks as a vehicle. He starts the film with large amounts of separation, followed
by the steady change in the middle of the movie, and finishing with the nation
combined.
In the beginning of the film, Clint Eastwood shows how separated black and white
people are and how they do not get along, due to the change of the government and
the Springboks. Because of the change in government, Nelson Mandela s staff started
to pack their things up as if they were leaving their jobs, but Nelson Mandela ... Show

At first, the police officers rudely send him away and continue to listen to the
game. The African child still tries to get closer and closer, while pretending to
collect soft drink cans. But, towards the end of the scene, the Springboks score and
win the game, and the police become more accepting and forgiving. They begin to
celebrate with the child and raise him up on their shoulders as if he were a mascot.
Ironically, in the beginning of the film, the same child is seen refusing to wear a
Springbok jersey. By using the same child in the beginning of the movie and towards
the end, this shows the audience how the South Africans have changed their view on
the Springboks. This acceptance of the Springboks showed the beginnings of a nation
coming together. During the World Cup, the final game in the film, the scene
occasionally cuts to shots of empty streets and empty houses. This technique shows
that everyone is watching the game and that everyone is excited to see the outcome.
Another thing Clint Eastwood did to show the black and white people combined is
at the end of the movie. He used the world cup to symbolise the nation had been
brought together. He did this by making Francois and Chester to both hold the World
Cup up above their heads, showing the black and white hand together.
By the end of the film Invictus, during the final scene, one can see that the crowd
watching the rugby game has changed quite considerably, compared to the game in

Repentance Of Sinners In The Parable Of The Lost Sheep
How is Luke s claim on repentance of sinners in the Parable of the Lost Sheep being
illustrated by the differences in detail found, in comparison to the Gospels of
Matthew and Thomas?
The Parable of the Lost Sheep is one of the many parables Jesus gave during his
lifetime. It is found in the two canonical gospels: Matthew 18:10 14 and Luke 15:3
10. It is also found in the non canonical gospel of Thomas 107. It is about a shepherd
who leaves his flock of ninety nine sheep behind to go look for the one sheep that is
lost. This context is similar in all of the three Gospels.
However, although there are similarities, there are also differences. These
differences have an implication for the message grasped by the readers. The focus
will be on the repentance of sinners claimed in the Gospel of Luke and how it differs
from the messages found in the other two Gospels. I will do this by analyzing the
effect of the differences in language, symbolic representation, location of the parable,
audience, and the context in which it is written, found in these three Gospels.
In terms of symbolic presentation, Luke uses the word sinners to compare them to the
sheep as seen in verse 7, ...one sinner who repents... Jesus is giving a reason why he
is friends of tax collectors and sinners. This is because they are like the sheep, lost
and need saving through repentance. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus uses the words
little ones . Jesus uses these words after giving a lesson about caring

Two dimensional, electrically conducting Casson fluid flow over an upper horizontal
surface of paraboloid of revolution in a thermally stratified medium is analyzed. The
influence of melting heat transfer is accounted by modifying classical boundary
condition of temperature. Based on the boundary layer assumptions, suitable
similarity transformation is applied to reduce the governing equations to coupled
ordinary differential equations corresponding to momentum, energy and
concentration equations. These equations along with the boundary conditions are
solved numerically by using Runge Kutta technique along with shooting method.

Full Range Leadership Development Paper
All the concepts in module 3 opened my eyes to the way I am and how I see myself
as a leader, thinker, and conflict manager. However, the concept that I really
focused on was the Full Range Leadership Development portion of module 3. I am
going to discuss why this was the most valuable concept to me and how I plan to
apply it as soon as possible. Let us move forward and first talk about why this
concept was the most important to me. There are three elements in the leadership
system: leader, follower, and situation. The course 15 material defines a leader as,
someone who influences other to achieve a goal. It defines a follower as someone
who chooses to follow a leader because of the leader s character, abilities, and vision.

My highest score was in the individual consideration transformational leadership
Four I s portion. After listening to my class today and learning about everybody s
particular leadership behaviors, and how they all could help you become a better
leader, I realized that you need a little portion from each. This is excluding the
laissez fair leadership. I feel that you should pull a little from each behavior
depending on the situation. I am a very confident, but hard headed person, so I
really need to work on moving between all leadership behaviors. There is no better
time to apply these behaviors than in my current situation as flight leader. I am
going to start looking at leadership as a whole system, and try to make sure that I
apply a little of each leadership transformational behaviors and transactional
behaviors to fit the situation. This way I can help others the best that I possibly
can, and hopefully help them become not only better followers but better leaders as
well. It will also allow me to learn how to be a better follower and leader because we
have such a diverse group of leadership in the class that I can learn so much just
from the different situations we will be in. Knowing when to apply these behaviors
will be challenging, but I am up for it and can t wait to see how I change as a leader

It is not until later in the novel that Tambu realizes that she had been brainwashed to
believe that the white educational system was better than her villages black
education system, and that the white ways are better than her villages ways. This is
reflected in her uncle Babamukuru, who is looked upon as a being of higher status
by those in African culture because he is educated, but his education taught him
white ideas, therefore his transformation from African to white caused other blacks
to view him as being higher up then they are. Tambu wants badly to help her family
escape poverty, but does not realize that they only way to do that is to follow the
white s ideas outlined for her throughout her education. She wants to be able to avoid
conforming to the cultural ideas held by the whites, all the while using their
education to get ahead. However the avoidance of brainwashing is not as simple as
she thinks.
Tambu decided that she did not want to be brainwashed like her brother. Tambu first
noticed the effect that brainwashing had on her brother Nhamo when he returned on

Research Design And Research Project
Research Design and Methodology Research Design and Purpose The research design
of this action research project is nonexperimental. The research attempts to examine
the relationship between the alignment of home and school beliefs or expectations as
it relates to the push to limit gender stereotypes in the classrooms of young preschool
age students. Understanding how gender stereotypes affect preschool age children s
perceptions of what they feel is acceptable gender behavior in school compared to
what these children feel is acceptable at home. This action research project will be
using qualitative research methods to investigate and gain a better understanding of
preschool students and their parents perspectives, opinions, and attitudes about
gender stereotypes as they relate to home and school alignment. This project s
researchers will collect descriptive non numerical data to interpret preschool age
students and their parents views and attitudes. Qualitative research methods are the

Gold Rush Women
Assessments of the California Gold Rush often apply to a romantic gloss,
suggesting that the colorful Days of 49 were a brief , exciting interlude in an
otherwise orderly narrative. The Gold Rush was romantic, brief, and exciting, but it
was much more than that. During the 19th century California seemed like a paradise
for both men and women looking to escape the East coast in search of a new life and
opportunity. Many men and women took the opportunity to escape from the west
coast to start a new life at the booming industry in California. Many of these travelers
were successful in their new adventure while others were not, however it was
different for women from different ethnic backgrounds who suffered a inhumane
fortune due to the imbalanced gender difference present in California. The culture
found in California during the gold rush provides different perspective on the
treatment of women and how the standards of sexuality were less important in the
United States.
To begin with, while the Native women and Chinese women were being mistreated,
in contrary, the White women of higher class were often considered the most
complimentary for marriage. These women were chosen by many men, they received
numerous gifts and pleasant treatment. However, on the other hand, Minority women
were particularly Indian and Chinese, they had a much different unfortunate
experiences during the gold rush. Native Americans and Chinese women were often
forced into prostitution around the gold

In the original order, Nova was billed BRL 104,338.30 for their purchase. After the
exchange of currency from BRL to U.S. dollars, Baker was estimated to receive
$48,371.24 (104,338.30 * .4636). This means that Baker brought in $55,967.06 less

Novo s first order to Baker consisted of 1210 gallons of adhesive. Their second order
increased in size by 50% to result in an order of 1815 gallons of adhesive. Baker also
faced an increase in costs of their materials by 10%. Baker only had to buy 25% of
the products needed to create the order Novo requested because they had the other
75% on had so the 10% increase in cost only applied to the new 25% of materials.
Novo s price per gallon of adhesives for their first order was 86.23 in Brazilian real.
To find the new price per gallon for the adhesives we need to take into account the
change in material cost. We then come up with the following equation:
86.23*(.25*.1) =2.16+86.23=88.39 New price per gallon The component (.25*.1)
comes from the increase in material cost and the amount of materials that increase
applies to being that only 25% of the materials needed for the order had to be
purchased because the other 75% was already on hand. Baker s costs for Novo s new
order are as follows (given the 50% difference in size order between the first order
and the new order): Labor| 9000| Materials (with 10% increase in costs)| 52000|
Manufacturing Overhead| 6000| Administrative Overhead| 3000| Total Costs|
70000| Now, to find the price of the sale in real for Novo and the revenue for Baker
we have the equation: 1815*88.39 = 160,430 1815 is the amount of gallons Novo
needs, 88.39 is the price per gallon we found
Tennis Is On The Right Track By Giving Equal Prize Money
People pretend it doesn t exist they deny that after all these years racism isn t

innovators. People think tennis is on the right track by giving equal prize money to
both male and females and giving both genders equal opportunity in television and
media coverage but the fact remains that tenniswouldn t fully be there until they take
that one step and drop the racism. This may seem like an impossible task but with
lots of joint effort with the general public, fans and the people involved in the sport
racism can be decreased. Tennis is a predominantly white sport and with the success
of the Williams sister s barriers have begun to dissolve but it s still an issue that
needs fixing.
Tennis has a long standing history that like many other sports has been around for a

The Turkish government used propaganda to manipulate public opinion, firstly. They
neutralized any possible support for the Armenian victims by maintaining a well
coordinated propaganda campaign that demoralized the Armenians in the eyes of

and infidels . Then, the government focused on calling the Armenian men to military

Constantinople. Next, they removed all firearms to prevent self defense and started
deportations of Armenians. Governments sent their victims on death marches
throughout the desert or to concentration camps. Der Zor was the last stop for those

It is essential that Green Mountain s negotiation succeed because the value
proposition that comes along a new product like the portion pack system. Keurig is
a start up coming looking to expand its business venture and GMCR central location
is in the Northeast and they were also looking to expand the company s geographic
existence. With expansion ideas in mind as a common ground for both companies, it
would be smart and beneficial for the companies to work towards this specific goal.
Keurig would make it feasible for GMCR to sell the K cups it will eventually
produce in parts of the country they are not already connected to once the Keurig
goes national. There is major room for them to grow and to be ... Show more content

With this being said they must find ways successfully spread out some the
overheads costs that are in dire need of attention or raise more money. The VC s
are saying that they will not receive any more money until they have proven track
of strong sales. A successful negotiation would help alleviate their economics
burdens they are currently incurring this is why it is important so they do not end
up in the worst situation where they cannot get money from the VC s, angels
investors or investments banks and have to go out of business. Keruig has 2
BATNA s the first is they can each other try to find other roasters to contract with
like Starbucks, Swiss Miss, Folgers or more regional companies like Van Houtte of
Canada and Diedrich of South California. Their second BATNA was to revert back
to the old plan and produce their own branded line True North Coffee. Under this
plan they would have to raise a lot more capital from angels and private investors.
This approach would come with a lot of obstacles such as higher costs, possibility of
a lower valuation
One of the biggest barriers from GMCR s standpoint is that they realize they can
possible build up sales and marketing for the Keurig system once they start
producing and endorsing the product. They are capable of doing so because of the
position that GMCR is in as an emerging
Essay about Ebay analysis
The name eBay (http://www.ebay.com) is synonymous with online auctions .
Founded in September 1995, the company qualifies as a genuine cultural and
economic phenomenon (Bunnell, 2000, p.vii). The site can be credited with creating
and defining an entire industry and has remained the dominant force in the online
auctionworld, with anywhere from 70 to 90 percent of the person to person online
auction market. eBay is also the 15th most visited site (http://www.MediaMetrix.com)

The Cliffhanger In Walk Two Moons By Sharon Creech
I. Cliffhanger: a cliffhanger in literature is a device, borrowed from early serialized
film, in which a writer ends a chapter on a note of suspense, encouraging the reader to
continue on to the next chapter. What is the cliffhanger at the end of Chapter Thirty
One?
In the novel Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creechthe author ends Chapter Thirty One
with a cliffhanger. The protagonist, Sal calls her friend and tells her Phoebe, we ve
got to find her. and Phoebe replies That s what I ve been telling you. (pg. 132). This
is a cliffhanger because the author stops the chapter in the middle of the
conversation without the reader finding out what Sal and Phoebe are going to do to
find Phoebe s mother. II. Refrain: How does the refrain change as Sal and her
grandparents get to the Badlands? What do you predict will happen?
In the novel Walk Two Moons the author Sharon Creech uses the technique of
refrain to develop the mood of the story. This refrain: the sound of the wind was
hurry, hurry, hurry, and at night, even the silent darkness whispered rush, rush, rush
appears for the first time on page four. She repeatedly comes back to the sound of
the wind telling her to hurry and rush throughout her journey. The author uses this
refrain to set an ominous tone as well as to create a sense of urgency. When Sal
swept on across South Dakota toward the Badlands the author changes the refrain the
whispers no longer said, hurry, hurry or, rush, rush. They now said, slow down,
Mozart Symphony 552
The first piece of music is Mozart s Symphony
NO.41 Jupiter (K
551); it was
Mozart s last symphony before his death. It is conducted by Hartmut Haenchen, with
a reduced ensemble of the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Chamber Orchestra. It is an
orchestral piece which is performed at the Konzerthaus Berlin. The second piece of
musicis Brahms Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77; it was Brahms only violin
concerto. It was performed at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo in 2002, and was
conducted by Claudio Abbado. It was performed by the Berlin Philharmonic, with
soloist Gil Shaham. Both pieces were of medium length, although Brahms was
slightly longer at 41 minutes.
The first piece is Symphony No. 41 in C major, K. 551 Jupiter , conducted by Hartmut
Haenchen, and is separated into four movements. The opening of the piece starts with
the entire orchestra starting strong, with contrasting motifs, which then follows into a
slower pace. The first movement of this piece follows the Sonata allegro form quite
closely. The exposition and the recapitulation are about the same in length. The
development is shorter than those two sections, but it is broken up, and put together
with pieces of the themes introduced in the exposition. At the 7:40 mark a heavy use

follows a quick slow quick pattern, which is common in most concerto pieces. The
first movement begins softly and slowly with the brass and woodwinds featured
prominently. The violinist then begins to play the piece s first solo, at about the 2:35
mark, of the first movement, playing in a minor key. At the 2:57 mark, of the first
movement, the violin begins to blend smoothly with the oboe, which is then replaced
by the bassoon and clarinet. These instruments continue to play together, gradually

Frito-Lay Vs Frito Lay
I am the type of person that when I enter a store, I search for the sales, the deals,
and strictly for the bargains. There are many times that I will choose the generic
version or store brand of foods and household items over the name brands. This is
never the case with chips and snacks that Frito Lay offers where I always find
myself without hesitation grabbing their brands and putting them into my shopping
basket. I have tried in the past with store and generic brands but can never find a
single one that comes close to the desirable taste and satisfaction that I get from Frito
Layproducts. Frito Lay today is a subsidiary of PepsiCo. Their brands account for
59% of the U.S snack chip industry (Frito Lay, 2014). Several snack foods and
brands are produced under Frito Lay. Many well known brands are Lay s potato
chips, Frito corn chips, Cheetos, Ruffles, Doritos, and Tostitos tortilla chips. They
have ranked on Forbes World s Most... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For me and for many other loyal consumers, there are no other snack food products
in the market that compare. While I opt for deals and store brands for most
products, I can never replace Frito Lay brands. Takis were very popular when they
first came to the United States market and Frito Lay successfully positioned itself in
that market segment with Dorito Dinamitas. They offer many premium brands as
well as low priced brands. Cracker Jacks were repositioned to be aimed at value
shoppers (Strom, 2012). Their contests succeed in making consumers feel that they
have a voice in their brand and in turn will become more loyal. Their continued
licensing agreements with other firms will help to make a name for themselves
across many other markets. The Doritos Locos Tacos have been very successful for
their Dorito brand. Brands protect from competition and as this paper has shown,
Frito Lay has been very successful in their branding
Cultural Background In Naomi Shihab Nye
The cultural and social background have a huge influence on people s lives, and
affect their thoughts, beliefs, and works. Especially if the person has two different
cultural backgrounds as the Arab American poet Naomi Shihab Nye. Naomi Shihab
Nye is a poet from a Palestinian father and an American mother, her bicultural
background shows in her poetry. The turning point in Nye s life as a writer is when
she visits her grandmother in Palestine at the age of fourteen, after that she starts to
write about her two different cultures and the ability to connect them. The poet
describes herself as a wandering poet because of the workshops she holds around
the world and being an inspiration for people at all ages. Her poems, mostly about

Types Of Norms And Each Type Have Their Own Set Of
Rules
Have you ever been at a funeral and felt completely baffled because one of the
guests decided to wear neon colors? Would you not be taken aback if one day, you
came home to find your father and his sister interacting with each other sexually?
Is this normal? How are social norms defined? Social norms are behaviors that are
considered acceptable in a group or society. However, there are many types of
norms and each type have their own set of rules . Tacit rules are rules that are
generally understood but are not precisely recorded. Tacit rules, if broken can not be
punished with legal action. The guest wearing neon colors to the funeral and the
father and his sister committing incest were both examples tacit rules, however there

For my breaching experiment I decided to violate this tacit rule to see how people
reacted when their space was violated. I am a very clean person and I can not stand
when people are to close to me, so this experiment was something I knew would be a
challenge for me.
I decided to go to two different public places where I know a lot of people would be
present. The first place I went was the Barnes and Noble at the Collierville Carriage
Crossing Shopping Center. The reason I choose Barnes and Noble is because there
is a Starbucks Coffee shop located in the front of the store. When I arrived at
Starbucks I walked in, ordered a beverage and waited until the Starbuck s clerk
called my name to get my beverage. While I was waiting I decided to scope out the
area, there were six people sitting and one placing an order. So there was a total of
seven people not including myself in Starbucks. However, the size of this
Starbucks is fairly small. The tables were almost touching and there were chairs on
one side of the table and a booth on the other side of the table. There were two
females who obviously knew each other, I could tell because one of the females
passed her phone to the other to show her something. However, the two females were
sitting far enough apart on the booth to where neither of them could see what the
other had on her computer screen. They both appeared to be college students based

Conspiracy Theories Of The American Conspiracy
Conspiracy has been deeply rooted into American culture since before the
Constitution. Many Americans still believe that there are secret societies of the
elite that exert great influence in not just the American government, but events on
an international scale as well. These conspiracy theories appeal to a populist
perspective, one that says that there are people much more powerful than the
average American and they are knowingly infringing on American liberties, with
the goal to either control or harm the country. These supposed conspiracy groups
are well known because they have become engrained in America s culture for
hundreds of years; elite groups such as the Illuminati and the Freemasons are
known for stirring political anxiety in the early years of the American Republic.
Some of this anxiety would be justified early on, but much of it would later prove
to be hysteria and paranoia. As those Masonic groups would die down in relevance
as the years went on, the paranoia that they created in conspiracy theorist s minds
would be replaced by other branches of secret societies for the elite that were
focused on wealth, political power, and globalist visions. Elite invite only groups,
such as the Bilderbergs, the Skull and Bones, and the Bohemian Club are all looked
at by some conspiracy theorists as organizing a New World Order that is outside of
the public s eyes. Furthermore, other conspiracy theorists believe that it is not the
secret societies that Americans should be
Cognitive Dissonance Essay
Cognitive Dissonance
How do human beings make decisions? What triggers a person to take action at any
given point? These are all questions that I will attempt to answer with my theoretical
research into Leon Festinger s theory of cognitive dissonance, as well as many of the
other related theories. We often do not realize the psychological events that take place
in our everyday lives. It is important to take notice of theories, such as the balance
theory, the congruency theory and the cognitive dissonance theory so that one s self
persuasion occurs knowingly. As psychologist and theoristgain a better understanding
of
Festinger s cognitive dissonance theory manipulation could occur more easily than it
already does in today s society. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The action taken would create psychological consistency in one s mind. These
theories are very interesting and have been quite researched, but none more so than
Leon Festinger s theory of cognitive dissonance.
Leon Festinger s theory, unlike the others I have described, deal with quantitative
aspects, as well as qualitative. That s what is so different and revolutionary about
Festinger s theory. Robert Wicklund and Jack Brehm (1976), in their book
Perspectives on Cognitive Dissonance, write, Most notably, the original statement of
dissonance theory included propositions about the resistance to change of cognitions
and about the proportion of cognitions that are dissonant, both of which allowed
powerful and innovative analyses of psychological situations (p.1). The term
dissonance refers to the relation between two elements. When two elements do not fit
together they are considered dissonant. Cognitive dissonance can be broken down
into a number of elements. As
Brehm and Cohen (1962) write, A dissonant relationship exist between two cognitive
elements when a person possesses one which follows the obverse of another that he
possesses. A person experiences dissonance, that is, a motivational tension, when he
(or she) has cognitions among which there are one or more dissonant relationships

Reputation In Detroit

Detroit: Is a Comeback in Store?
Reputations can be very deceiving. They cause you to think a certain way about
something without forming your own opinion first. Reputations are like stereotypes:
they both make you conform to other people s views about a subject without getting
to know it for yourself. The city of Detroit falls victim to having a bad reputation.
The Motor City is known as being corrupt and left for dead; it is called hopeless
and dangerous by people who have never even stepped foot into the city. Growing up
thirty miles from Detroit, I consider myself a Detroiter and disagree with the city s
horrible reputation. I believe that Detroit has been through ... Show more content on

From low test scores to high schools dropouts, Detroit is known as the least
educated city in the nation. This can lead to a variety of issues, including a rise in
criminal activity and the inability for residents to make a positive impact on their
city. In 2009, an article was published by Taham Bradley from ABC News called
What Is the Worst School System in America? . Bradley writes in the article that
We ve always known Detroit public schools were among the worst in the nation
but we haven t seen data like this before...Detroit school children ranked the lowest
in the nation of participants on the National Assessment of Educational Progress
math test. Detroit Public Schools are horrible. These low test scores don t just hurt
Detroit, but bring down our nation, making our education system fall behind on the
international scale. That is why lawmakers decided to make a bold move and
close down Detroit Public Schools for good. In an article by Avi Asher Schapiro
called Detroit shifts debt, launches new district with local control , it is mentioned
that In early June 2016, lawmakers approved a $617 million bailout of Detroit
Public Schools to restructure nearly $4 billion in crippling debt. The plan will
divide the schools into an old district a legal entity which will pay down debt over
time and a new debt free district known as the Detroit Public School Community
District, which will be given $150 million startup loan from the state. This plan is
expected to turn out for the better, by getting rid of the name and bankruptcy of the
previous school system and replacing it with this more improved and better funded
one. Schools are the foundation that will teach the new generation of Detroiters to
be successful members of society to help improve the city for years to come.
Detroit s education system is on the road to recovery, the road to what it was like in
the early 60s. In the book
An Ethnographic Study of a Subway Resturant
Introduction Globalisation is a force that became the buzzword of the 1990s.
Various countries around the world have experienced a thrilling increase in trade,
innovation transfer and cross border investment flows in recent years. The effects
of globalisation and the evolution of the most developed economies are difficult to
separate and a few authors believe the effects of multinational enterprise to be a
defining feature of globalisation (Strange, 1986). In this essay, I am going to deliver
a wider understanding of globalisation through the study of a fast food restaurant,
subway to be precise. I am focusing on a branch of the restaurant in Bradford, paying

create a win win effect. Enthusiasts argued that there would be a transfer of
technology, undermining of elite privilege and that globalisation would contribute to
the general economic growth of nations. On the contrary, taking a more critical view
on the effects of globalisation, the findings seem to differ. The fact is that
globalisation is pretty much centralised on only a few countries run by a handful of
governments. China and India, For example, have been the only two countries to
realise any advancements in terms of development and poverty eradication through
globalisation, whilst trade openness has led to a rise in income inequalities and
generally very uneven gains in the South American regions. And one entire continent,
Africa, has actually become more marginalised (Tsikata, 2001, p. 12). The
governmental and economic institutions of the developing countries, especially the
latter, put them at a disadvantage where weak political, economic and legal structures
led to wide spread corruption, conflict and insecurity. Whereas, developed countries
already had good infrastructures coupled with high levels of skilled labour,
managerial competence and advanced technology making it almost impossible for
developing countries to compete. For example, the Japanese government vs.
Indonesian government car industry case at the WTO (Kompas, 19 July 1999 ed.).

Mary Beth V. William And Elizabeth Stern Case Summary
When looking at the dilemma that appears in the case of Mary Beth versus William
and Elizabeth Stern there is a moral and legal issue that arises. The judge was very
broad in his ruling and was not able to put himself into the shoes of Mary Beth. When
it comes to pregnancy, there is a connection that is established during the 9 months,
between motherand child that is unexplainable and a maternal relationship that should
not be broken. The morally right and just ruling would have been to give the child to
the intended parents but allow Mary Beth, as the surrogate, visitation rights. The
contract between the Stern familyand Mary Beth implied that Mary Beth was doing a
duty or a job and getting paid the equivalent of her duties. It stated that Mary Beth

When looking at how far technology has come it is astounding since technology
eases the dilemma in the Baby M case. This is because it takes away genetics as the
child is only the product of its parents and doesn t genetically look similar to the
surrogate, who is just the carrier of the child. It is unfair toward women to
deprive, them of their choice to enter. It was their own idea to take this step and do
good for another family. If one relates this back to the Baby M case information that
would have been a key pointer to exactly determine the ruling was to know wether
Mary Beth had a child or not. If she did she would have known the consequences of
pregnancy and have nothing to argue in her

  • 1. Writes Essay For You Writing an essay on the topic of "Writes Essay For You" presents a unique set of challenges, primarily due to the inherent paradox in the subject matter. The difficulty lies in navigating the delicate balance between discussing the complexities of essay writing while also maintaining a sense of coherence and purpose within the essay itself. One of the initial challenges is the potential for circular reasoning. Addressing the topic requires careful consideration to avoid falling into the trap of simply restating the premise – writing an essay for someone else. The essay must delve deeper into the underlying reasons people seek such services, exploring the complexities of time constraints, lack of expertise, or the desire for a polished and professional final product. Another hurdle is maintaining objectivity while discussing a service that, by its nature, involves a degree of subjectivity. It is essential to present a comprehensive view that acknowledges the ethical considerations surrounding writing essays for others, including potential issues of plagiarism and academic integrity. Furthermore, the essay must grapple with the broader implications of outsourcing one's writing tasks. It requires addressing the educational aspects, questioning whether the act of commissioning essays aligns with the intended purpose of academic institutions – fostering independent thought, critical analysis, and effective communication skills. Balancing these aspects while ensuring the essay remains engaging for the reader adds an additional layer of difficulty. The narrative must flow seamlessly, connecting the dots between the broader discussions of academic integrity, the motivations behind seeking such services, and the ethical considerations at play. Ultimately, tackling the intricacies of this topic necessitates a nuanced approach. It involves a delicate dance between exploring the complexities of the subject matter and maintaining a clear and compelling narrative that captivates the reader's attention from start to finish. In conclusion, unraveling the layers of difficulty inherent in crafting an essay on "Writes Essay For You" requires finesse and thoughtful consideration. The challenge lies not only in addressing the topic's paradox but also in presenting a well-rounded discussion that engages the reader intellectually. • 2. What Is The Isolation Of Limonene From Citrus Fruits Chirality Isolation of Limonene from Citrus Fruits Introduction: Terpenes are a large and varied class of hydrocarbons produced by a wide variety of plants. Many essential oils belong to the terpene class. They are made up of two or more five carbon units that are called isoprenes. Limonene is a terpene that can be separated from orange peels almost 100% in the (R) (+) limonene form. Other citrus fruits like lemons, grapefruits, limes, and tangerines contain the compound as well. The purity of the oil extracted from the oranges can be determined by physical properties such as optical rotationand refractive index. In this experiment, limonene will be isolated by steam distillation. Normally, big molecules such as limonene... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The mixture was heated to a gentle boil and then the distillation was allowed to begin. The heat was turned off after the temperature of the steam stayed constant. The distillation continued until approximately 40 mL of the liquid was obtained. The 40 mL of distillate was transferred to a 250 mL separatory funnel. A small amount of dichloromethane was used to wash the receiver after the transferal. The distillate was extracted with 10 mL of dichloromethane three times, each time using a little extra dichlormethane to wash each layer. The organic layer on the bottom was collected for each extraction. All organic layers were collected in a 125 mL Erlenmeyer flask. Anhydrous sodium sulfate was used to dry the solution for fifteen minutes. Meanwhile, a vacuum filtration apparatus was set up accordingly. A 250 mL filter flask was obtained and pre weighed. The solution containing the limonene was vacuum filtrated while it was kept warm in a steam bath. Additional Sodium Sulfate was added to the solution to remove excess water. The solution was then washed 3 4 times with dichloromethane and the vacuum filtration continued. The vacuum pump was turned off when the flask contained only a small amount of oil. The flask was then weighed. After the limonene was isolated in part one, a few drops of it was used to find the refractive index. A Pasteur pipette was used to place a few drops of the oil on the measuring
  • 3. When Abibatou Diallo Was First Starting School, Her Name When Abibatou Diallo was first starting school, her name stopped being so hard to pronounce. Her name stopped being what she identified at all. Her teacher took her name and with no objections from Abibatou began calling her Abby. Thinking about being called Abibatou, just fills Abby with a weird feeling now. Not a single person has called her by her full name in such a long time, that it no longer holds any meaning to her. Abby s name is just one example of how she has been forced to become Americanized since she began her education. You see Abby is African born through and through. She has the richest brown skin, deepest brown eyes, and kinkiest black hair. She is the epitome of African beauty, curves and all. It is a shame that since... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Abby strongly believes that if her life was switched she would not be the reserved anti social bookworm that she is. She would not have devoted mostly all her time to school work. She would have lived just a little bit more. Abby managed to be in gifted classes from first grade all the way through high school. When entering high school, she took advanced placement classes almost every year, and ended up becoming valedictorian of her class. School was her life, it was what she was brought to America to do. School was what was ingrained within her that she had to do, because it would be selfish if she did not. There was so much pressure to succeed, for her sister was not given the opportunities that she had received. Abby has never struggled with school, she has always been a gifted student. She loves to write, she loves to read, she loves school, but she did not like all the underlying pressure that was imposed upon her. If you knew Abby you could see that who she was, was more than just being a student. While a dimple filled smile that reached ear to ear, and a bubbly spirit, it is hard to not want to be her friend. This may be why she is so frustrated with spending so much time on school. She never had a lot of time to show people her true colors. She was always too busy writing. As mad as Abby can be for not getting that true social aspect she wanted, it is subsided with her pure love for writing. It has always just been

Plane is the most efficient transportation particularly for traveling across islands, province and country. There are two kinds of plane services, which is low cost carrier and full services. Commonly, low cost carrier is chosen because of the fare is cheaper, but some people priority services rather than price. In Indonesia, there are two airlines providing full services, Garuda Indonesiaand Batik Air (JPPN, 2015). According to Nurfitriyani (2016), for on time performance which is reflected by on time of take off, Batik Air overcome Garuda Indonesia with 91.21 percent or 23,366 of 24,617 flights scheduled, while Garuda only 85.82 percent or 77,955 of 90,832 flights scheduled. This is also given Batik Air award by Transportation Ministry as the most on time airline in Indonesia, while Garuda only in third place. • 5. Heathcliff Wuthering Heights is a novel whose main character is said to have a double significance. He is said to be both the dispossessed and the dispossessor, victim of class hatred and arch exploiter, he simultaneously occupies the roles of working class outsider and brutal capitalist. Heathcliff has all these characteristics because of his experiences. He is a character moulded by his past. Heathcliff is a character defined by his sympathetic past. However Catherine lured Heathcliff into a relationship, brain washed him into thinking that she truely loved him and was going to marry him one fine day. Instead she discarded their relationship and decided to marry Edgar Linton, a wealthy man. Catherine discarded her relationship with Heathcliff, for one main reason and that was because he was not a wealthy man. It was obvious that Catherine married Edgar so she could be the greatest woman of the neighbourhood and if she married Heathcliff it would degrade her and they would both end up as beggars . This a good example of how Heathcliff was a victim of class hatred. His impulsive actions makes his character, not only revengeful, but also demonic. His goal in life was to take revenge on those who have victimized him. Heathcliff is a victim of class hatred but he also manipulates situations to his advantage and becomes an arch exploiter. For example, after the death of his wife, Hindley went insane. Heathcliff used this opportunity to take revenge and took Wuthering Heights away from Hindley. He then went further and married Edgar s sister, not for love or monetary gain but to get back at Edgar for marrying Catherine, and treated Edgar s sister terribly. Heathcliff s anger intensified and he was bent on destroying not only his enemies but also their families. He then married his son to Catherine and Edgar s daughter in an attempt to gain control over Thrushcross Grange. After

  • 7. Essay Male Circumcision is Unnecessary and Wrong Male Circumcision is Unnecessary and Wrong I am opposed to the circumcision of infants. Here are my reasons: The reason circumcision is performed at all is for historical and religious reasons, not for medical reasons. Circumcision is not medically necessary; the medical societies now consider it optional, and will in time recommend against it because of the risks involved. The health benefits claimed are always statistically minor and so do not warrant the practice. Additionally, any putative health benefits mostly relate to adult males; to circumcise a baby today for benefits that are hoped to accrue decades later is unwarranted, because advances in medicine that will occur during those decades may make such prevention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Removal of an equivalent amount of skin from any other part of the body, such as earlobes, would be considered mutilation, pure and simple. The only reason circumcision is not considered mutilation is again for historical and religious reasons which should carry no weight in a rational discussion of public policy. It s always been done, hence it s okay, seems to be the reasoning involved. The same argument can be made in favor of female circumcision among those cultures that favor it, yet this practice is viewed with horror by most Americans. Circumcision reduces the sensitivity of the penis, and so reduces sexual pleasure in adult males, and a botched circumcision can ruin a man s life. Circumcision removes a necessary protection of a sensitive part, as nude sunbathers discover. This protection is also useful while clothed. Circumcision is performed on a patient who cannot give his consent. Because it is not medically required, for reasons of medical ethics it should be withheld until consent is possible. Circumcision is performed in the name of a religion which may be repudiated by the recipient when he becomes able to judge. For such persons, the religious purpose becomes nugatory. The bodies of children should not be sacrificed to the religion of their parents. The religious purpose of circumcision may have been repudiated by the church of which the parents are members. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the novel the different settings have been described very well and gives the reader a good idea of what is going on. Another feature of this novel is stock characters which are stereotypical characters. An example of this is Sherlock Holmes himself who can be described as, He now took the stick from my hands and examined it for a few minutes with his eyes, this shows us that what sort of detection he is doing and how he goes about it, this is also useful to the reader to learn about his techniques and follow what he is doing. The reader might enjoy this book because they feel like they are helping Sherlock as his sidekick. Another example of a stock character is the damsel is distress who happens to be Mrs Stapleton. She is described as, Mrs Stapleton was darker than any brunette woman whom I ever seen in England, slim elegant and tall, this describes Mrs Stapleton s appearance. Another quotation that describes Mrs Stapleton voice is, She spoke in a low, eager voice with a curious lisp. These quotations are very good example of describing Mrs Stapleton. • 9. Textual Analysis Of Dante s Inferno Textual Analysis After crossing the Phlegethon, Dante the Pilgrim and Virgil cross into a dark forest where there are no green leaves, but rather black in color, no smooth branches, but twisted and entangled, no fruit, but thorns of poison bloomed instead (Dante, Inferno 186). The forest is depicted this way to give a picture of the barren nature of suicide. Dante sees the Harpies nesting and tearing at the trees surrounding them, ....in Greek mythology the Harpies are storm winds which act as ministers of Divine vengeance, mysteriously snatching offenders away out of the visible world (Dartmouth). The Harpies are a depiction of how those who commit suicide snatch themselves away from the visible world. He hears wails of torment within the woods all around him and Dante is confused by the noise and its origin. He first thinks that the yelling comes from individuals hiding behind the trees, but learns the truth once prompted by Virgil to break a branch. Dante tears off a piece of a great thornbush. The emphasis on the size of the bush may be a way to signify the importance of the man entrapped inside it, possibly like Medieval art in which artists stress the importance of a specific character by making it larger (Dartmouth). To Dante s surprise, blood began to spew out of the branch, and the tree starts to speak directly to the Pilgrim. This tree, named Pier, committed suicide after being accused of treason. Pier continues to swear on the new roots of this tree that
  • 10. Memory Foam Essay Mattresses come in many sizes, shapes, styles and firmness levels. Consumers often feel overwhelmed when they see the sheer number of options available to them. Following is some information on the major types of mattresses available today, along with the benefits and drawbacks of each option. Memory Foam Mattresses Memory foam mattresses remain the preferred choice of consumers in America, when rating mattresses on average user satisfaction. For this reason, individuals often turn to this type of mattress when they want to replace an existing one. In fact, they are often referred to as the ideal all around mattress for any person, and this helps to explain why approximately 85 percent of individuals now sleep on this type of bed every night. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This offgassing produced a chemical smell that is unpleasant. This problem can easily be eliminated by allowing the mattress, pillow or pad to air for a minimum of 24 hours before putting a cover or sheet over it. This helps to remove the smell. For those who forget to take this step, there is no need for concern, as the smell doesn t cause a reaction in those individuals using the bed. Memory foam should not be used with young children. As the memory foam is very soft, carbon monoxide could become trapped in the bedding. This leads to concern about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), a syndrome that results in the death of young infants. One thing to consider when choosing this type of mattress is the type of construction. Some individuals wish to have a traditional foam or gel infused mattress, yet others prefer one made using plant based foam. Budget does play a role in which brand is selected, yet manufacturers understand how popular this type of bed has become and now offer a wide range of products spanning a range of price points. When two similar mattresses are found, it s best to look at other factors, like customer service and reliability, when choosing. Don t hesitate to go with a lesser known brand or a lower quality of mattress, if the bed will only be used occassionally or for a short period of
  • 11. Character Analysis of the Elder Mrs. Winning of Flower... Character Analysis of the Elder Mrs. Winning of Flower Garden The oppression of tyranny breeds either rebellion or its counterpart, conformity, as was the case for the character Helen Winning in the story Flower Garden by Shirley Jackson. The static, intrinsic traits of the Elder Mrs. Winning, which are influential to the outcome of the story, are developed in detail by Jackson s use of description and dramatic scenes. The elder Mrs. Winning is characterized as a woman with an authoritative, domineering personality who is unyielding in her convictions. The elder Mrs. Winning is a sovereign matriarch in her household. After a morning breakfast, as the two Mrs. Winnings [linger] over a pot of coffee . . . [sitting]... When Howard, the son of the elder Mrs. Winning , enters the house as he [comes] in from the barn , he simply acknowledges his wife, the younger Mrs. Winning, with a nod ; in contrast, he more affectionately [kisses] his mother (496). By including this detail about the distinct ways the two women are treated by Howard Winning in her description, Jackson illustrates the premiership the elder Mrs. Winning occupies in her household. Moreover, Jackson describes how Helen Winning [tried] to anticipate her mother in law s gesture of serving (496) which indicates further the preponderant and overruling qualities of the elder Mrs. Winning. The elder Mrs. Winning is a nightmarishly overbearing mother in law. The opening paragraph is a base for understanding the forcibleness of the elder Mrs. Winning s character. Jackson recounts that, After living . . . together . . . the two . . . had grown to look a good deal alike, as two women will who live intimately together, and get things done around the house in the same manner (490). By providing this description Jackson discloses the profound extent of the influence that the elder Mrs. Winning has had on the identity of her daughter in law. The elder Mrs. Winning is so overpowering that Helen has methodically adopted her lifestyle and has even gained her looks. The high handedness of the elder Mrs. Winning is first made evident when Jackson describes that the younger Mrs. Winning has invited her
  • 12. Archduke Franz Ferdinand Research Paper I believe that June 28th, 1914, was perhaps the one of the single most defining moments of the 20th century. Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Princess Sophie of Hohenberg, assassinations shook a fragile European peace down to its roots. While Franz Ferdinand was not the emperor of the Habsburg Empire at the time of his death, Serbian nationalist extremist group, the Black Hand, planned, and executed, their assassination in hopes that his death would start a war that would free what was then Bosnia from Austrian rule. • 13. The Little Albert Experiment by John Watson and Rosalie... The Little Albert experiment has become a widely known case study that is continuously discussed by a large number of psychology professionals. In 1920, behaviorist John Watson and his assistant Rosalie Rayner began to conduct one of the first experiments done with a child. Stability played a major factor in choosing Albert for this case study, as Watson wanted to ensure that they would do as little harm as possible during the experiment. Watson s method of choice for this experiment was to use principles of classic conditioning to create a stimulus in children that would result in fear. Since Watson wanted to condition Albert, a variety of objects were used that would otherwise not scare him. These objects included a white rat, blocks, a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This occurrence between the rat and the bar showed that the dual stimulations the week prior had a lasting effect on Albert. In his case study, Watson explained that the stimulations were given to get a complete reaction from Albert. The response from the stimulations was as convincing a case of a completely conditioned fear response as could have been theoretically pictured (Watson, 1920, pp. 314). Every time the rat was joined with the loud sound (dual stimulation), Albert gave the same complete negative reaction. In the experiment, pairing the rat and noise caused by the hammer striking the bar, play the role of unconditioned stimulus (US), conditioned stimulus (CS) and conditioned response (CR). Introducing Albert to the loud sound of hammering the bar is measured as the unconditioned stimulus. The loud sound is something that Albert is not accustomed to, so the response is unlearned. Conditioned stimulus occurred when Albert was continuously introduced to the rat alone. Since Albert experienced the rat at the same the bar was hammered, he has learned to associate the rate with the sound of the bar (US). Albert s conditioned response in the experiment transpired when he was able to perform the same behavior when he was presented with the rat (CS) over and over. After Watson was able to condition a fear response in Albert for one object, he wanted to know if the response was carried over.

Don t ask me why, but after thirty years or so of being behind a wheel while commuting to work, I don t think that I can handle doing it anymore. Thus, I traded in my car and got a scooter to bomb around town in. I no longer have to commute to work (I now work from home) so having something small and fast is perfect for my chosen lifestyle. One thing that also changed, however, was the fact that I now had to wear headgear whenever I went out, lest I become a permanent addition to the pavement. While not as sturdy as the IV2 model, it is made of a lightweight polycarbonate shell that absorbs impact remarkably well. The helmet itself is highly rated by the DOT as well, so you know that it s top quality. Also, you can attach different face shields (sold separately) if you want an extra layer of protection between you and the wind (not to mention bugs). As far as comfort is concerned, the T 70 is loaded with all the usual refinements, including thick padding on the interior, an open ear strap design, and a padded chin strap for extra smooth sailing. • 15. Pair Bonding Thesis Neural Basis of Pair Bonding Pair bonding is defined as a close relationship between two individuals. To understand the neural basis of pair bonding it would make sense to consider monogamous species since monogamy is based on pair bonding. On the other hand polygamy supports mating with several individuals which does not necessarily support bonding with only one individual. Most of the studies done on pair bonding used a monogamous rodent, the prairie vole. Prairie voles form a long term bond with their partner after multiple mating and tend to spend the rest of their life with the same partner. These voles spend more time with their partner than a stranger vole. This characteristic is considered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We have already discussed how the importance of vasopressin in social behaviors. Central administration of vasopressin facilitates monogamous typical behaviors in male prairie voles through the vasopressin V1a receptors (V1aR) in the brain (Winslow et al., 1993). It would be interesting to compare how vasopressin activity differs between the monogamous and polygamous voles. Turns out it is not the amount of vasopressin but the distribution of V1aRs in the brain which varies considerably between monogamous and promiscuous vole species (Insel et al., 1994). Lastly to emphasize Vasopressin s role in neural basis of pair bonding, an experiment done by Lim et al (2004) is included. These researchers did an amazing experiment to investigate if inserting V1aR gene vole could induce partner preference in polygamous voles. The vasopressin receptor (V1aR) is highly expressed in Ventral palladium. It is located within the ventral forebrain, which is a part of limbic system. In this experiment a group of polygamous meadow voles were used as subjects. Researchers inserted the adeno associated viral (AAV)

  • 17. Henry V Theme Of War Known as one of the greatest warrior kings in all of English history, Henry V has left a hefty impression. In Shakespeare s play of the same name, the monarch battles literally with France for the throne and figuratively with accountability and being a just ruler and conqueror. Through the story, we can see the values Henry holds and how the real implications of war aren t something the king cannot deal with in a proper manner. The debate between King Henry and the common soldiers like Williams and Bates illustrate fundamental problems with Henry s rule and asks important questions about the motives behind war itself. In Act 4, Scene 1 of Shakespeare s Henry V, the king does incognito in a cloak to interact with the everyman of his army. This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He ignores the responsibility of the king for putting all these lives in danger. He denies the fault of the king for waging the war, and instead deflects the blame onto the will of God. Basically, his response to the soldiers is that they must be spiritually prepared when they go into battle because the king is not responsible for their deaths. This is a believe that is horribly ignorant and unfair to the people who might actually lose their lives. When the king conquers the French port on the mouth of the Seine, he insults them and states that God is on their side. Eventually, he implies that the French should feel badly for being responsible for the death of their many citizens at the hands of English. However, the same doesn t apply for himself when he could be leading his men to their deaths. This might be because he thinks God s favor lies with England but it is of course foolish and hypocritical to believe this. Using religion as a shield is a method Henry uses throughout the play, stating the kingdom of England has God on their side on multiple occasions. This aversion of guilt continually demonstrates Henry s doubt in himself and fragile
  • 18. Things They Carried Tim O Brien does a fantastic job of blurring the lines of what is true and what is fiction in The Things They Carried. In fact, he often points out that he has made entire stories up, after the fact. He defends his decisions by proposing that what he has done is, in fact, not lie, but rather tell a storytruth. He argues that his reason for doing this is to bring the story to life more than it could live through the happening truth. I want you to feel what I felt. I want you to know why story truth is truer sometimes than happening truth (O Brien, 183). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Story telling truth, as has been defined to an extent, isn t completely real. Most frequently, it is modeled after happening truth, where it re shapes the story. Through the addition of details to the happening truth, the story becomes more believable. Oftentimes, great morals come from story truths where they were not previously evident in happening truths. One vivid example of this would be the scene where Curt Lemon is killed. Following this is the baby water buffalo scene (O Brien, 74). (O Brien, 80 81). The details bring the story truth to life, as the reader can picture what is going on more clearly through a sort of dream. Story truths bring events to life through the imagination. The thing about a story is that you dream it as you tell it, hoping that others might then dream along with you, and in this way memory and imagination and language combine to make spirits in the head. There is an illusion of aliveness (O Brien, 218). Oftentimes, heroic instances are added to give a story morals, where they may not have been visible to begin with. Take, for example, the scene where O Brien describes the soldiers who come upon a killer grenade. One of the soldiers jumped out and attempted to take the blast to save the rest of the soldiers. Right before they all die, one of the soldiers asks why he jumped out
  • 19. Black Boy Language Essay The entirety of the novel Black Boy by Richard Wright is composed of scenes that are meant to strike the audience. Whether it be through a stark use of pathos or a technical use of logos, each scene is calculated. However, two scenes tend to stick out in the mind s eye. They specifically offer an extra sense of reality to the already raw story that is presented. As a well known author, Wright employs language in order to get his stories across. And considering that language can take many different meanings, I found two instances or scenes in which language played a vital role. It impacted the author as a child in ways that may have led to his writing style as it is in this novel, therefore it helped to shape him as a writer. These scenes also... Wright continues to explain how every experience he has from this point onward has a deeper meaning that he would have never seen before. Just as there are negative consequences that come with experience as seen in the tale of the noisy kitten there are just as many positive outcomes. In this case, Wright sees the world from a different angle and can, therefore, interpret it from different sides. Learning from his mistake of speaking poor language to his grandmother, he vowed to learn the meaning of all the words he would speak. As a writer, each word choice is then a reflection of his new outlook. He utilizes phrases such as breathlessly anxious , flitting fireflies , pervading smell , pitying chuckle , and saliva stimulating smell (45) immediately following his resolve. Each of these holds an intense imagery that is able to connect the audience to the author. By spending time outlining the clarity of all the experiences around him it is clear to the reader that the author experienced a change in thought and view. As an individual he had the power to decide which language he chooses to employ in his writing, but he knows that without knowing its true meaning it holds power over him. His writing style in this instant stands to show that he has followed through with his word and has learned to use language in a way that evokes emotion and

According to the National Women s History Museum (NWHM), during the 1700 s, women were denied access to secondary schooling, and were only given the most basic education deemed necessary to fulfill the women s duties (NWHM 1). Research from the National Coalition for Women and Girls in Education(NCWGE) has shown that when Title IX was introduced in 1972, girls were able to participate in any state funded activity, resulting in protest from those who believed genderbias did not exist (NCWGE 1). The opposition argued that girls are just different from boys, and incapable of doing the same things. The gender bias in schools across America, since the conception of schooling, has led to hardships and stereotypes faced by females in education and society. During the 1700 s, the education of women was basic. Some girls were taught how to read, strictly to read the Bible, and they were taught skills considered useful, like knitting, sewing, and other household duties. It was considered strange and undesirable for a woman to be well educated. Repentance Of Sinners In The Parable Of The Lost Sheep How is Luke s claim on repentance of sinners in the Parable of the Lost Sheep being illustrated by the differences in detail found, in comparison to the Gospels of Matthew and Thomas? The Parable of the Lost Sheep is one of the many parables Jesus gave during his lifetime. It is found in the two canonical gospels: Matthew 18:10 14 and Luke 15:3 10. It is also found in the non canonical gospel of Thomas 107. It is about a shepherd who leaves his flock of ninety nine sheep behind to go look for the one sheep that is lost. This context is similar in all of the three Gospels. However, although there are similarities, there are also differences. These differences have an implication for the message grasped by the readers. The focus will be on the repentance of sinners claimed in the Gospel of Luke and how it differs from the messages found in the other two Gospels. I will do this by analyzing the effect of the differences in language, symbolic representation, location of the parable, audience, and the context in which it is written, found in these three Gospels. In terms of symbolic presentation, Luke uses the word sinners to compare them to the sheep as seen in verse 7, ...one sinner who repents... Jesus is giving a reason why he is friends of tax collectors and sinners. This is because they are like the sheep, lost and need saving through repentance. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus uses the words little ones . Jesus uses these words after giving a lesson about caring

  • 34. Research Design And Research Project Research Design and Methodology Research Design and Purpose The research design of this action research project is nonexperimental. The research attempts to examine the relationship between the alignment of home and school beliefs or expectations as it relates to the push to limit gender stereotypes in the classrooms of young preschool age students. Understanding how gender stereotypes affect preschool age children s perceptions of what they feel is acceptable gender behavior in school compared to what these children feel is acceptable at home. This action research project will be using qualitative research methods to investigate and gain a better understanding of preschool students and their parents perspectives, opinions, and attitudes about gender stereotypes as they relate to home and school alignment. This project s researchers will collect descriptive non numerical data to interpret preschool age students and their parents views and attitudes. Qualitative research methods are the best method for my capstone project, as I am attempting to understand the attitudes and opinions of individuals that cannot be quantified by a number. According to Ary, Jacobs, Sorensen, Walker (2015), qualitative methods focus on understanding social phenomena from the perspective of human participants in natural settings (p. 24). Through this project, I do not seek to predict an outcome but to understand the effect of two distinct viewpoints about young children and their

Gold Rush Women Assessments of the California Gold Rush often apply to a romantic gloss, suggesting that the colorful Days of 49 were a brief , exciting interlude in an otherwise orderly narrative. The Gold Rush was romantic, brief, and exciting, but it was much more than that. During the 19th century California seemed like a paradise for both men and women looking to escape the East coast in search of a new life and opportunity. Many men and women took the opportunity to escape from the west coast to start a new life at the booming industry in California. Many of these travelers were successful in their new adventure while others were not, however it was different for women from different ethnic backgrounds who suffered a inhumane fortune due to the imbalanced gender difference present in California. The culture found in California during the gold rush provides different perspective on the treatment of women and how the standards of sexuality were less important in the United States. To begin with, while the Native women and Chinese women were being mistreated, in contrary, the White women of higher class were often considered the most complimentary for marriage. These women were chosen by many men, they received numerous gifts and pleasant treatment. However, on the other hand, Minority women were particularly Indian and Chinese, they had a much different unfortunate experiences during the gold rush. Native Americans and Chinese women were often forced into prostitution around the gold
  • 36. Baker Adhesive Case Essay John Kroeger FINA 470 Baker Adhesive Case March 22, 2012 1. How profitable is the original sale to Novo once the exchange rate changes are acknowledged? How has the exchange rate risk, which affected the value of the order, been managed? In the original order, Nova was billed BRL 104,338.30 for their purchase. After the exchange of currency from BRL to U.S. dollars, Baker was estimated to receive $48,371.24 (104,338.30 * .4636). This means that Baker brought in $55,967.06 less from their deal with Nova than was expected. Since the exchange rate risk was not managed, Baker brought in significantly less than was estimated from their deal with Nova and after subtracting their total cost from what they brought in, Baker only made a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Novo s first order to Baker consisted of 1210 gallons of adhesive. Their second order increased in size by 50% to result in an order of 1815 gallons of adhesive. Baker also faced an increase in costs of their materials by 10%. Baker only had to buy 25% of the products needed to create the order Novo requested because they had the other 75% on had so the 10% increase in cost only applied to the new 25% of materials. Novo s price per gallon of adhesives for their first order was 86.23 in Brazilian real. To find the new price per gallon for the adhesives we need to take into account the change in material cost. We then come up with the following equation: 86.23*(.25*.1) =2.16+86.23=88.39 New price per gallon The component (.25*.1) comes from the increase in material cost and the amount of materials that increase applies to being that only 25% of the materials needed for the order had to be purchased because the other 75% was already on hand. Baker s costs for Novo s new order are as follows (given the 50% difference in size order between the first order and the new order): Labor| 9000| Materials (with 10% increase in costs)| 52000| Manufacturing Overhead| 6000| Administrative Overhead| 3000| Total Costs| 70000| Now, to find the price of the sale in real for Novo and the revenue for Baker we have the equation: 1815*88.39 = 160,430 1815 is the amount of gallons Novo needs, 88.39 is the price per gallon we found

Many Americans still believe that there are secret societies of the elite that exert great influence in not just the American government, but events on an international scale as well. These conspiracy theories appeal to a populist perspective, one that says that there are people much more powerful than the average American and they are knowingly infringing on American liberties, with the goal to either control or harm the country. These supposed conspiracy groups are well known because they have become engrained in America s culture for hundreds of years; elite groups such as the Illuminati and the Freemasons are known for stirring political anxiety in the early years of the American Republic. Some of this anxiety would be justified early on, but much of it would later prove to be hysteria and paranoia. As those Masonic groups would die down in relevance as the years went on, the paranoia that they created in conspiracy theorist s minds would be replaced by other branches of secret societies for the elite that were focused on wealth, political power, and globalist visions. Elite invite only groups, such as the Bilderbergs, the Skull and Bones, and the Bohemian Club are all looked at by some conspiracy theorists as organizing a New World Order that is outside of the public s eyes. Robert Wicklund and Jack Brehm (1976), in their book Perspectives on Cognitive Dissonance, write, Most notably, the original statement of dissonance theory included propositions about the resistance to change of cognitions and about the proportion of cognitions that are dissonant, both of which allowed powerful and innovative analyses of psychological situations (p.1). The term dissonance refers to the relation between two elements. When two elements do not fit together they are considered dissonant. Enthusiasts argued that there would be a transfer of technology, undermining of elite privilege and that globalisation would contribute to the general economic growth of nations. On the contrary, taking a more critical view on the effects of globalisation, the findings seem to differ. The fact is that globalisation is pretty much centralised on only a few countries run by a handful of governments. China and India, For example, have been the only two countries to realise any advancements in terms of development and poverty eradication through globalisation, whilst trade openness has led to a rise in income inequalities and generally very uneven gains in the South American regions. And one entire continent, Africa, has actually become more marginalised (Tsikata, 2001, p. 12).
